While Alexander told about the few questions he wanted to ask, the drizzle started to turn into rain and a cold wind blew through the air. The woman began to shiver, grabbed the man's arm and tightly held onto it, as she felt very shaky and weak. She felt nervous about the questions he wanted to ask and didn't want him to find out her memory was gone. She decided to take the upper hand and ignore his request: "T-thanks. What are you doing here?"
She felt glad the guy wanted to help her. "Yes, I think I can walk... C-can I put a bit of my weight on you?" She had a look at her bulletproof vest, which still laid on the ground. "And s-should we leave that here?", she asked with a trembling voice, "or do you think we might need it?" She secretly hoped he would say that it wasn't needed because nothing dangerous was going on, but she was afraid that would not be the case.
Welcome Ry! :-D There are a lot of awesome people here (I'm also still a newbie) so I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. Have fun!
A facility? Disappearances? Battles? What the hell was going on? And why didn't she know anything about all this? And could this guy be trusted or not? As he looked around, she also took a moment to get familiar with her surroundings. There wasn't anything near she could go to for help. Her memory was gone, but she knew one thing for sure: she didn't have enough strength to continue on her own. She had to take a leap of faith and trust him - at least for the time being. "C-can you help me?"
"Eh, sure," Dan replied nervously, as he was utterly impressed by Logan's look; he had a muscular build, fierce look in his eyes and obviously was a few years older. Most students immediately left class and a few went directly to Logan and Dan. One of them caught his attention, because her hair was snow white, but her skin looked golden. "Hi, I'm Ororo, but everybody calls me Storm. I don't mind," she said, as she reached out her hand to shake Dan's. A red-haired girl and weird pair of glasses-wearing boy stood behind Ororo, and even though the boy's eyes were covered, Dan could immediately see he liked that girl next to him. "This is Jean," Ororo continued, "And this is Scott". Jean smiled and left Dan a welcoming feeling, but Scott seemed to keep his distance and just nodded. Dan felt overwhelmed, as he suddenly got the attention of four older-looking people, who all looked special in their own way. He didn't quite understand why Ororo said she wouldn't mind to be called Storm - was that her middle name?
"Come on, let's go to the canteen," Ororo said. "I'm starving! There are some others there we'd like you to meet, Dan. Or do you want to give him the grande tour first, Logan?"
"Here we have two different strings of DNA. Does anybody know what makes them different?", a calm voice asked, while he showed two plastic DNA models to the students in his class. A young woman with long red hair raised her hand in the air. "Yes, Jean?"
"The model on the right has the X-Gene," she answered. "That is correct," the teacher, known as Charles Xavier, said. "And what is that special gene responsible for-" Charles was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Professor," an old-looking black-hair woman said, who stood at the door opening of the classroom, "May I interrupt please?"
"Of course madame Calverley, how can I help?" The eleven students in the classroom, aged between 10 and 18, all looked at the door, where miss Calverley and a boy were standing. "Dan Finley has arrived today, can he join this class?" Charles' colleague asked. "Of course. Please mister Finley, take a seat," Charles nicely offered and pointed to an empty seat next to Logan. "Logan, as Dan Finley is new at this school, would you please be kind and show him around today?"
Awesome, let's roll! Don't worry about it :-D I'm in the midst of my exams and have a lot of spare time now haha, so I reply fast, but I don't expect the same from you :)
"Thirtytwo, thirtythree", Luke continued counting in his head as he tried keeping the ball balanced, "Thirtyfour -". He noticed someone coming to him and looked up; it was that girl he just saw passing by on her bike. He put the ball in the grass and rested his right foot on it.
"Hello", the girl confidently said, "Are you here all alone?"
"Uuuh, yeah", Luke replied confused. What was her deal? And she was a girl, gross. What could be so important to interrupt him? Did she not see he was having a killer Keepie Uppie streak?
"Do you think that's wise with everything going on?" the smart-ass asked, again with a lot of confidence, near the edge of arrogance. Luke was even more confused. Wise? Why wouldn't it be wise? He'd played in these fields for yeaaars and nothing much had happened, at least if he didn't count the times he stepped in dog poop. Dog owners always let their canines do their business here, but now he thought about it, he hadn't seen one dog over the past weeks. His curiosity grew, making him ask: "What do you mean? What is going on?"
"Please be home before five!", his mother yelled at Luke, as he walked outside with his white football. The sun sometimes peeked through the thick clouds and leaves ranging in different green and red colors fell massively off the trees as a chilled wind blew through the small town of Hawkins. "Sure mom!", the small boy replied, and continued to go outside. He looked happy - he loved playing outside. He went to his neighbor and rang the doorbell. A suit-wearing man, who'd just gotten home, opened to door. "Hello mister Dean, is Tommy home?"
"I'm sorry Luke", the man answered, "He and his mother are visiting his grandmother. I'm sure he'd love to play with you another time." Tommy's father shut the door after Luke's "okay!". Luke couldn't be really bothered by it, as he didn't mind playing by himself. He loved going near Hawkins National Lab - the high fences spooked him out a little, but there was just so much grass and space to play! Luke secretly dreamt of becoming a famous soccer player, so he pushed himself to train in Keepie Uppie.

As he'd reached the grassy fields and took off his jacket, he inspected the ground carefully. 'No dog poop, sweet!', he thought, and he started kicking the ball. One big road was located next to the field, but there usually wasn't much traffic. He noticed a girl riding her bike, but didn't pay any more attention to her and continued training. "Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen..."
The word 'answers' echoed through her mind. Answers? What kind of answers? Was he just as clueless as her? No, that couldn't be. Because she truly knew nothing. She didn't know what to do. He didn't seem dangerous to her, but he couldn't be trusted. While her thoughts went into overdrive, she started to feel dizzy. The bulletproof vest was really heavy and she desperately tried to take it off. After a bit of wrestling it fell on the ground with a big smack. She felt a bit better. The man quietly stared at it, and looked as if he was surprised she'd taken it off. "W-what... what kind of answers?"
