Well I might just throw my current turian out the window then, since he's been my mainstay character in every single Mass Effect RP I've been in. I'll make someone new.

Maybe a drell. Or a krogan.

EDIT: New idea. Krogan engineer, works on engines and vehicles and ships as a mechanic. Perfect idea.

Also, because I'm also guilty of reusing the same turian every time, it's mainly because I haven't had adequate time to take my poor Hazan's character arc to its completion and explore the growth that comes from it. And I honestly want to give this poor boy some closure from all the dumb shit I put him through in his backstory.

But I will say that making a new character means I get to torture this poor krogan too!

If I can bear to write a different ME-universe merc, I'd love to be a part of this too.

"R-right. Well first we gotta figure out where or how we're gonna corral these things."

Delsin rolled his shoulders as he moved a little faster, making headway towards the herd of horses ahead of them. His sneakers dug into the dirt as he got up to a slow jog on the plains, slowly taking in the scenery around him. The large, open plains and rolling breeze blew through his jacket made him smile a little as he raised his hands to the wind and let a few thin ribbons of smoke stream from his fingertips. The open, fresh air was pleasing to him, even though he'd never really been outside of his home city to explore the wilderness, not even at the reservation.

"Well the smoke and fancy light show's gonna be scary and startling for 'em, right? I could always use a bit of smoke to round 'em up, maybe make a smoke ring that shrinks around them? Yeah. Yeah that sounds like a plan."

Without really waiting for anyone else to respond, Delsin started to move forward. He cut a wide circle around the herd of horses, keeping low to the tall grass to obscure himself. He didn't know much about horses but he at least knew that they spooked easily and the plan in his head was heavily reliant on that. As he made a half circle around the herd, guessing that it was between him and Bentley, Delsin made his move. First he stuck two fingers into his mouth and made a loud, shrill whistle to get his team's attention, and then he exploded forwards in a burst of motion and smoke. His entire body erupted into a plume of flaming, sparking smoke as he rushed forward over the grass, trying to scare the herd into moving towards the turtle. As the initial burst of speed abated, Delsin returned to his human form and a loud whoop issued from his lips.

"C'mon horses! Get a move on! Let's go! Whoop whoop!"

Delsin did as he was told, although the instruction to reach for control sticks was weird...control sticks? What were those? He raised the Binocucom to his eyes and zoomed in on the herd of horses that Bentley had spotted out in the plains. He sorta agreed with the plans; when they'd gone over the map earlier, Delsin knew that his smoke speed boost wouldn't last even a third of the way to the prison. He removed the Binocucom to take a glance at the turtle. None of the party were good with animals, so he thought, but hey, better have a shitty plan than no plan at all.

The young man hooked the device back onto his belt and tapped Bentley on the shoulder.

"Well, if I'm fast enough, I could probably try to corral those horses nearer to you. We dart a few of 'em, then see if Tiz can get 'em tame? Or something? I have no idea how to deal with horses at all."

Delsin crossed his arms, standing next to Bentley. With the distance they had from the temple, he was glad that he was out of earshot of the Boss. Temper tantrums, a man his age throwing a tantrum like a child? He scoffed. Not exactly the best team leader, but with the threat of their home games being destroyed...well it was all they had. Delsin pushed the thoughts from his mind as he rolled his shoulders and hopped on his toes, limbering himself up for the horse wrangling in his near future. The closest he'd ever been to a wild horse was hearing stories about the herds of wild horses in Europe back when he was at the reservation, listening in on his elders telling stories while he was busy painting one of the outside walls with a new stencil design he'd come up with. After that was the running away when someone inevitably found him spray painting the reservation wall. Back then he didn't have his smoke powers, just his legs.

All that was behind him now. Ever since he became a Conduit, he'd been whipped around like smoke in the wind. Ironic, considering he could become smoke.

"Right."

Delsin took one of the binocular things from Bentley and rolled his eyes when the Boss had his outburst. He'd seen this before when he'd fought Audrey back in his home city. Typical head cases. He patted Bentley's trembling shoulder as he turned to walk away from the frankly embarrassing spectacle. The turtle soon followed suit, and Delsin waited for him at the other end of the bridge. The young man was idly fiddling with the binoculars...thing in his hands as Tiz and Bentley approached where he'd been standing, and he accidentally pressed the microphone button just as Bentley told Tiz not to. A squawk of static erupted from the device which startled him a little, making little puffs of smoke erupt from his hands, before he regained his composure and pressed the same button Tiz had to activate the binoculars.

As Bentley drew away from the rest of the group, Delsin fell in right next to him, keeping pace with his wheelchair. He bent over slightly to talk to the turtle in a low tone, so no one else could hear.

"Relax, it's fine. Lots of bark, not a lot of bite, from what I'm seein'. 'Sides, he tries to hurt you, I'll pour smoke into his lungs until he stops complainin'."

He smirked as he straightened up, the Binocucom in one hand, the other stuffed into the front pocket of his jeans.

"C'mon, let's get outta here."

Alex vaguely felt himself being lifted off the street, and then he was carted away by the Man in Black. The impact of the round against his side had knocked all the breath out of him, even though the bullet itself had shattered against his skin, leaving no wounds other than a large bruise and a large hole in his hoodie and shirt. As he felt himself get lowered to the floor, the Man in Black hissed a question his way. He attempted to shake the haze of confusion from his head as he sat up, bracing himself with a hand while he rubbed his side where he'd been shot.

"I- I should be asking you that question, mate! You're the one getting shot at! Bloody hell, that hurt!"

Alex stumbled onto his feet, keeping behind the wall for now. He didn't know where the other attackers were; clearly the Man in Black had better senses than he did, but he could tank a lot more damage. With his handkerchief still wrapped firmly around the lower half of his face, he took a quick peek out from behind the wall.

"Doesn't matter- I can take more hits than you can, probably. Bullets bounce right off me, although big ones like that can knock me on me arse. Why don't I hop out there and draw them out for you?"

And without waiting for a reply, Alex stepped out from behind the wall, cracking his knuckles as he walked forwards out from behind the boathouse. He could hear another commotion directly in front of him, although he couldn't see the villain headed straight for him due to the shadows of the trees in the park obscuring his sight. Instead, he planted his feet firmly on the pavement and raised his arms up in a traditional boxing stance, ready to intercept anything that headed towards him.
