I'm EchoicChamber, though I mostly go by Echo.
I'm twenty two years old, have a tendency to scream into the void, and mostly just hang around and do my own thing. That isn't to say that I don't enjoy roleplaying, though; I'm a big fan of the supernatural/fantasy genre, horror, and superheroes. I tend to avoid RPs where there's no fantastical elements, though there are times where I step outside of my comfort zone.
I reuse characters habitually across canons, and while I try to devote time to roleplay, work and real life cuts back on how much I can write in the best of times.

London. The Fifth City. Years ago, it stood proudly as the jewel of Britain, only to be dragged to the Neath when the Traitor Empress signed it all away. Things work strangely down here, now, away from the harsh rays of the sun and the blinding blue of the sky. Death doesn't quite work the way it should, anymore. Strange beasts lurk in the deep Underzee. And now there's those Masters, those cloaked, hunched...certainly not gentlemen, who have their hands in all sorts of trades.
But that isn't to say it isn't nice down here, no. There's all sorts of new goodies and delights to be found, deep in the dark. With a spoonful of honey, you can be whisked to the land of dreams. There are freedoms from moralities, and beliefs, and norms, and a wealth of new opportunities. For every terror and maddening thought, there's some reason why scores of people come down to London on the regular.
Perhaps you'll be one of them.

Hello, everyone. My name's Echo. I'm a 22 year old living in the US, coming back to this website after a period of extended hiatus. I know this is a shot in the dark, but I was hoping to find someone willing to do a Fallen London RP with me. It's a fairly niche game, so I've found that most people don't know about it, but it's a delightful setting that I'd love to share with other people.
I'm looking for someone preferably 18 or older. Fallen London does have a few mature themes to it, and I'd feel more comfortable writing things out with someone around my age range. However, if you're looking for someone to write out explicit scenes with you, unfortunately you've come to the wrong place. I have no problem writing up to the point, but when it comes down to it, I prefer to fade to black or blur rather than write out the nitty gritty.
What is this?
Fallen London is a free-to-play browser game that wound up getting expanded into other spinoff games, such as Sunless Seas and Sunless Skies. It's a delightful gothic horror with all sorts of strange, surreal elements, and a lot of inspiration taken from Lovecraft and other such writers. It's a colorful setting with a lot of lore, but if you've never played it or don't know much about it, then you're still more than welcome to join! I'd recommend writing a character new to the Neath so you can learn alongside your OC, but that's just a recommendation. I mostly just want to write this out with someone, whether they know the setting or not.
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. I'm more than happy to fill you in, and I can talk people's ear off about this subject.

I'm open to writing romance, but the main OC I have in mind is female and prefers men, so do keep that in mind. I'm more than happy to roleplay platonic friendships, rivalries, or anything else, really. Depending on how well we click, I might also bring in other OCs as well.
