Leila doesn't deign to turn toward Artimes when she snorts at her outburst. "Really imaginative, calling me that. Especially considering that you barely bothered to get to know me, I'm surprised your two brain cells were able to come up with that. Maxima Jian. No damage."
Leila snorts. "I would have more pity for you if it hadn't taken you days to realize I was gone, Artimes. You can keep your tears, you arrogant attention-whore," she spits, then spins on her heel. "Kerian Herneson. No damage."
"Oh?" she questions, finally lowering the clipboard. "And how long did it take you to realize I was gone? Was it minutes? Hours? A day?" she retorts. "No, Artimes, Ivy, Jacob. It was more. Had you realized sooner, I would have stayed with all of you, but you betrayed me. I was supposed to be back in an hour or so, and none of you cared enough that I was gone." She took a breath and composed herself. "Once I realized you weren't coming for me, I gave in. Guess what? These people care about me. I'm no longer another demigod who is easily passed over for more powerful ones. I'm Leila, and I will not be made guilty by you."
Leila looks up, unimpressed at Artimes' display of anger. "Interesting," she mutters, and marks the board. "That'll need fixing." She moves on. "Hi, Jacob. Let's see: Jacob MacLoran. Little damage."
Ignoring Charlie, Leila reaches Ivy's cell. "Hello, Ivy," she says, then looks down at her board. "Ivy Douglas. Little damage," she says, marking her board and moving on.
As the sobbing dies down, the steady click click click of shoes hitting pavement becomes more prominent, and Leila comes into view. She carries a clipboard, and she takes a look in each cell before muttering quietly and making a mark on the board. She grimaces as she steps around the blood on the floor, and peers into Adam's cell. "Adam Flores. No visible damage," she says, marks her board, and moves on.
Max stays still in silent shock.

Adam calls, "Adam."
Max sees Arthur's body, and all the fight leaves her. She collapses like a puppet with cut strings and stares at his lifeless form. The color drains from her face.
oh wow it's bloodbath
Adam does a quick check. "I'm fine. Are you sure you're okay? You sound off," he says.
So you're not gonna mention that we can't use magic? Great call, Adam.
Please be quiet, Ihy. We can deal with that later. Right now, Arty is more important. I'm sure I can figure it out.
~~~
Max grits her teeth as they bring Charlie past her cell. "Oh, yeah. Because you can keep us all here forever," she snarls. She spits on one of the soldiers as they walk past, then back up just out of reach. "Fuck you."
