Misaki was hesitant at first, going to a boy's home just after knowing him for a day, but she was sold once he mentioned that his mom made sweets. Homemade sweets were always better than one sold in stores. "Yes!" She accepted, realising she sounded too excited to be going to his house. "Ah- I mean, if you don't mind having me." She giggled, she corrected herself, a little embarrassed that she would say yes to anything that involved sweets.

She was pretty happy that she was going to get more sweets tomorrow, she wasn't expecting more after spending a lot of money on it today. Her stomach grumbled slightly just thinking of it. "I'll see you tomorrow then!" She was about to run off again but she wasn't very sure of her bearings at the moment. She pointed in a direction she thought was right and asked, "If I go down this street and make a right, will I end up on Tokuga street?" She didn't want to end up on that dodgy street where they just ran from. She moved into a one-person flat in a 3 storey building that was just a few minutes away from school. She did grow up in this town as well, but didn't expect places like her old home to turn into a dangerous place.
"Eep!" Misaki squealed when Ikari mentioned their proximity. She too tried to wriggle her way to create a distance, but failed to and somehow managed to squeeze herself closer towards him. Her face was bright red again but found relief when the blonde managed to get himself out. She could feel her ears burn hot, a hand on her above her chest. "N-nothin' happened!" She declared out loud, convincing herself mostly, since she was the one who brought them there. She had no intention to have her........ assets up against him at all! She shuffled herself out of the alley, "I.. I guess we should go home for today!" She said robotically in a loud voice, still not daring to face Ikari.

Her movements were stiff as she walked forward, "I'll see you tomorrow!" She said as she started to run off, but came back when she realise she won't see him tomorrow at school. "Erm.. Maybe after class? If that's ok?" She asked him, though she was sure he would say no after today.
Misaki fell silent, thinking that Ikari was probably right. She let out an awkward laugh, a hand rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment. "Guess I didn't think this through. Sorry." She stuck her tongue out. Just then, a plastic bottle of green tea dropped and rolled to her feet.

"Oi, what are you kids doing on our turf?" An unknown voice came from behind her. Misaki turned around to find the face to the voice and saw an older male wearing a black tank, a large tattoo on his left shoulder. She knew he was trouble and didn't want any of that. She grabbed Ikari's uninjured hand, "Let's go," She said in a hushed tone. Without waiting for a reply, she started running with him in tow.

"Oi! Someone's talking to ya!" She heard the guy speak, only making her run faster. Luckily, the street soon met with another and she quickly turned right and slid into a dark narrow alleyway right after, squeezing her and Ikari together. She panted, looking in the direction of where they entered to see the guy running past alley. Misaki sighed in relief and slowly caught her breath.
The more they walked along, the more the street looked abandoned. She recognised her old house in an instant, the building looked a little run down and the gate was rusty. Actually, most of the houses on this street looked to be in the same state. Misaki pointed to the house opposite her old one. There was no lights on from the windows and the front yard looked unmanaged, with litter sprawling out into the road and the gate was open. "Maybe we should ask a neighbour..." She thought out loud, surely no one was living here now. And if anyone or anything was, she would be too afraid to ring the bell.

Misaki couldn't really believe that a student council president would go to such lengths for one student, and to think she's able to abuse her powers to reach that goal. It sounded really intense to her, on the other hand it was pretty admirable to have a student care so much about the student body. Except that attention should not be focussed on just one person. She didn't really know what to think of her just yet as she didn't like to judge others. "That is kinda... weird." She stated, not really knowing any other way to describe or try to reason her actions. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. But I'm here now! If it comes down to it, I'll help to get you out, I promise." She fist pumped the air, determined to go through whatever to get Ikari out of the president's grasp. "I'll stay out of her way until otherwise." Misaki added, thrusting her last finger out towards him to perform a 'pinky promise'.

Misaki tilted her head to the left a little, skeptical about his answer about knowing where Ikari lives. She decided to believe him, it was the least she could do after being saved and warned. "It's a small world, huh!" She smiled, turning her attention to the cashier and taking yen out of her wallet. After placing the bills into the tray, she felt the pinch of her allowance. Guess she had to save up for a while before she could come here for sweets. Misaki led them out of the cafe, pushing the glass door exposing themselves to the hot humid air. It was around evening time now, the sky was still pretty bright with barely a cloud in the sky.

She giggled, a hand raised to cover her own blushing cheeks. "You're really nice, Ikari. Like really. Come to think of it, I never got to thank you for saving me yet have I?" She paced herself so she was in front of him before turning round to face him. Her skirt fluttering a little as she did so. Misaki bowed, her hands that held her bag in front of her. "Thank you so much," a warm smile as she looked up, "for saving me, and warning me about the council president."

Turning the corner to head to Ikari's old place, she brought up the topic again. "So... if she's so mean, how did she become the president?" The street Ri-chan and her used to live on was eerily quiet now. It seems like a lot has changed since she moved. Instinctively, she moved a little closer to Ikari and visibly gulped. She didn't notice how close she was to him till her hand brushed against his arm. Misaki quickly stepped away, muttering a sorry as her cheeks turned a little pink.

Misaki typed in her name and phone number into the details, hitting save and handed it back to Ikari before checking if the phone successfully saved it. She grabbed her phone back to see her new contact in her address list, another Ikari Shitsurei above the new addition, the only difference with 'Ri-chan' at the side of the old contact. His number had been his old house landline. She spent hours debating with herself if she should call the number yesterday, afraid that he would hate her for contacting him now after so many years. Shaking the rather depressing thought from her mind, she locked her phone and placed it back into her bag, listening to Ikari.

"Alright," She started, "Thanks for letting me know. But I don't like to judge others before I had a chance to talk to them. That's how we are here together now, right?" She giggled, probably annoying the blonde for not heeding his warning. She will be wary of what she says if she ever meets the student council, but she won't purposely avoid her just because she hurt Ikari once. Though she sounds pretty intimidating.

Misaki grabbed her bag as she stood up, planning to head to the cashier by the front to pay. Then, something Ikari said before clicked. "Wait, how would you know that Ri-chan stays in a dangerous area? Did I tell you his address?" She was sure she didn't, she raised a brow, making a confused expression.
Misaki silently suffered as she watched the whole piece of cake get eaten by Ikari. Pondering over his answer for a while. “Hmm.. I guess you don’t have to.” She concluded, then a toothy grin graced her face, “Then I made the right choice in talking to you.” She tried to wink, not sure if it looked like something got into her eye and it was awkwardly twitching. She poured her and the blonde a glass of water, bringing one to her lips. She nearly choked when he asked to exchange phone numbers but tried to play it off when she heard it was to prevent another kidnapping.

Coughing a little before gulping more water to soothe her itching throat. “Hopefully I won’t be calling you because of that.” She laughed at herself, though she really hoped that it would be the first and last that she would get abducted in her life. It was far too scary. Misaki fished her mobile out of her bag and unlocked it, revealing a picture on her home screen of a young Misaki with a wide toothy grin holding out a peace sign with a hand while the other was holding unto a boy her age. He looked a little shy but had a small smile on his face and his eyes were on the young girl instead of looking at the camera.

She flipped the phone round so it faced Ikari, and held it out for him to enter his phone number. She glanced at the black smartphone in Ikari’s hand, noticing that it was an older version of her phone. She didn’t want to ask a question that may be offending, but she was rather curious. She decided to keep quiet, maybe shutting up about it would be wiser. Instead, she proposed their next destination, to start their quest to find Ri-Chan. “I’m planning to visit Ri-Chan at his home. Do you want to come? I hope he hasn’t moved after all these years. But it’s a good pace to start.”
Misaki devoured her parfait in mere minutes, getting a little brain-freeze along the way. A little cream at the side of her mouth, eyeing Ikari's untouched chocolate cake with greed. But her eyes flicked back up to him, mocking hurt when he called her dumb. "Hey, he used to hide behind me while I chased the bullies away. He should be grateful." She stuck her tongue out playfully, before thanking him for his next sentence. It feels like Misaki will get along with this Ikari... despite all the teasing, but she feels like he somehow genuinely cares for her. Even though they just met. Now it was her turn to ask a question, feeling a little slow as she should have asked this question long ago.

"So..." She started, "Why did you come to save me? Was it because I gave you the candy?" She asked, trying to solve the missing puzzle. "Do you know me?" She turned the question around, curious as to why he would get hurt to save her.
