Didn't I make a post asking if I could play as interdimensional JFK that had been abducted by aliens? Oh well. I am now.

Hope this is suitable. Thought I asked those already. Either it got deleted cus it wasn't suitable or I was just wayyy too stoned

A little too jokey for this RP. We don't ask for every character to take themselves seriously, but we do at least need them to be able to be in a serious context.

*Naomi chuckles.*

- Shouldn't have asked. That's just par for the course when you work for the man.

*Suddenly, the train lurches forward as it begins its slow deceleration into Charleston.*

- We're here. Tuck and roll; we'll need to get into the spaceport ASAP.

*Both of us stand up and collect our few possessions on-hand*
I presume you'll be our guide from here forth?
<Snipped quote by Legend>

- No, you're not. He gets outside contractors to do jobs like these every once in a while.

*She leans back, cocking her head.*

- Say, what's Lucy paying you? You doing this outta the goodness of your hearts?

Our priorities happened to align, so you could call it more self-interest than compassion.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

- Quite. But I like people with pizazz. Makes for a good time working.

And are you in the business of espionage often?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

- Jobs like these. I help people. And when those people do their jobs, it helps Lucy. Then he's happy with me.

He does seem like he makes for quite the distinct employer, yes?
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

- My employer. He's a good man, he... he means well. Sometimes we're a little more, but it's a professional relationship.

What sort of employment does he offer?
<Snipped quote by Legend>

- Me? I just...

*She pauses for a second, like she's trying to think.*

- I just want to make Lucy happy.

Is that so? Who is he to you?
<Snipped quote by Legend>

<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

*The woman returns the gesture.*

WOMAN: Katherine, Vector. I'm Naomi. Lucy's put me on to help you; since we're heading out of Union, I had to get on the same train. Took the liberty of disabling this car's surveillance system, so we can talk in private.

*Naomi gives Vector a sidelong glare.*

NAOMI: First off, I'd suggest making sure something like that doesn't happen again. I'm not a wizard; I can't get you out of everything. The Cooperative doesn't play around with terrorism; they're still cleaning up the rebs in North Africa. Probably thought you were one of them infected with some pathogen they stole from a lab.

*Chuckles halfheartedly*
I suppose sympathy doesn't play well here. I'll choose my words carefully the next time we're confronted.
<Snipped quote by Etcetera>

*A little while after Katherine arrives, the train begins to move. It's a wholly uninteresting ride; there are screens on the back of each seat like an airliner, but they only display safety videos, public service announcements, and the occasional tacky kids' cartoons that always end in a lesson about obeying authority figures or practicing civic virtue or whatever. The train speeds across the dark, polluted landscape at what must be hundreds of miles an hour; you're going to reach Charleston in a little less than three hours.*

*On the last leg of the journey, a young, black-haired woman in a navy-blue suit finds a seat across the aisle from the two of you and unfolds the latest issue of the Union Times, occasionally looking up at you. After a few awkward minutes, she speaks.*

WOMAN: I see you found a change of clothes.

*Lifts my hand with a soft wave*

<Snipped quote by Tank O The Lake>

*Pinches the bridge of my nose between my fingers*
A bio-hazard warning. Seriously. It nearly shut down the entire skylight club.

Sometimes people don't want to be reached. We made it nonetheless.
Oh fwiw I thought this person was going to reach out to her directly and direct her to the station. But this is fine.
