Fandom Interest Check

Hello! Exif here and holding yet another interest check. Some roleplays I've tried didn't really work out, so I suppose I'll have to start from scratch again. Before we get into the roleplay options, it's time for the arbitrary guidelines and ground rules.

1.) I am in my twenties, so I would prefer to roleplay with people above 18. It's a matter of principle for me.

2.) I'm casual to advanced. Depending on what's being written, my post length can vary from one or two paragraphs, to several. That being said, I prefer quality over quantity. Writing dozens of paragraphs with nothing but fluff to appease hardcore lit roleplayers is just a waste of time and creative juices, in my eyes.

3.) Romance is optional. There's more than one way to keep my attention, like story, character growth, and arcs. While I am certainly open to romance, it is not a necessity to roleplay with me. Platonic friendships work just as well.

4.) While I prefer to play male main characters, I am not above using female side characters, or even playing both genders if it's an ensemble cast.

5.) For the most part, I am ghost friendly. As much as I don't like it, it's a fact of roleplay sites I've come to live with and I get that people just lose interest. While I would greatly appreciate a heads up, I do have a system in place for those that just stop replying. I will wait one week before messaging you once, asking if you want to continue. If you do not reply within 24 hours, I will consider the roleplay dead and move on.

6.) Genre-wise, I like action, horror, adventure, slice-of-life, comedy, fantasy, sci-fi, and romance to name a few.

7.) I am absolutely open to doing crossovers. They're awesome.

8.) I prefer to roleplay over DM. Although Discord is an option, it doesn't allow for a lot of text in a single post, which may not work for higher lit.

If it has "(*)" Listed beside it, that means I have a plot in mind and am craving it. If it has "(**)", it means I am craving it, have a plot, as well as a crossover in mind.

Pro Wrestling RP

This is going to be different than my usual fare. Chances of this catching anyone's eye might be slim, but here goes nothing. I'm a fan of professional wrestling, and have been one since 2006. However, with AEW's recent line of success, I've been inspired to try a roleplay set in the realm of professional wrestling. At this time, I am most familiar with WWE, TNA, and AEW, though I haven't kept up to date with WWE recently. As such, I think it's reasonable to choose the era the roleplay it set in.

Depending on who you are, we can either roleplay with OCs or actual pro wrestlers. I'm a fan of masked wrestlers in particular! This can either be a platonic friendship or romance, depending on where the direction goes. It can be about a mix tag team or two wrestlers that form a friendship as they start moving toward their championships.

Some quick guidelines:

* As a note, I am in my twenties and would rather RP with people who are within that range. I don't feel comfortable roleplaying with minors. It's a matter of principle.

* Even though I am concocting story beats and will usually lead, I don't mind at all if you brings idea of your own and would, in fact, encourage you to voice them. Part of the fun is to bounce ideas off one another and see what may work best.

* Recent circumstances have forced me to add this guideline, but in spite of the coronavirus pandemic, I do still go to work on some days. I work an essential job, so I will absent during work hours, but will make an effort to reply to you when I can. I will let you know if I am working or if something comes up.

* I am relatively ghost friendly. I understand that ghosting will happen, and has happened before. So, while I am ghost friendly, I do have a system in place for that. If you do not reply for about a week or two, I will message you directly and ask if you wish to continue. If I do not receive a reply within 24 hours, then I will consider the roleplay dropped and move on to something else. While a heads up is appreciated, I won't hunt you down if you don't.

* While I am most comfortable playing males, I do not mind playing some female characters, as well. There is a high chance I, or perhaps both of us, will be playing more than just one character.
Smut is a no-go for me. I just don't find it appealing, period I don't mind romance, though. I love some good romance if developed properly.

* You will have to be somewhat knowledgeable of pro wrestling and be decent at writing matches, as these roleplays will have instances of action.

What kind of genres are you into?

Quarantine Fantasy RP

Well, I think you know what's been going on in the world lately. Since I am effectively confined to my house for the foreseeable future, I think I'll be open for an additional RP slot.

I've been looking to tackle a fantasy roleplay. I wanted to take a common pairing, but give it a little twist. We all know the Princess and the Knight pairing and the typical story that entails, where the brave templar wades through a treacherous tower and slays a dragon to save the royalty, and live happily ever after. Or the Princess and her Guard, where the Princess is to be married to another kingdom and she ends up forming a forbidden love with her Guard, then the two run off to be together.

I wanted to try something a little different. The Princess here doesn't spend time cooped up in some castle. She's actually quite active and goes around doing heroic work herself. While she's still required to be accompanied by a guard, it's more of a formality as the Princess can more than take care of herself. Plus, the Guard has some wisdom and experience he likes to impart on his charge and he occasionally trains her.

I wanted to play off this pairing with a comical edge. The Guard is a straight-faced, professional, butler-esque type who can play off the Princess. The Guard is by no means terrible at fighting, as he does live up to the job description, he just rarely gets to fight, since the Princess is so capable herself. There's elements of comedy, action, and adventure as the duo go about their business.

A Dragon's Bond

Plot

Many years ago, a great dragon ruled the land. When humans trespassed on her grounds and established a settlement, they quickly negotiated a deal. In exchange for being allowed to live on the land, the dragon would receive a sacrifice. These usually came in the form of a livestock animal or two, which was enough for the kingdom to thrive and flourish under the king's rule and the dragon's protection. But when the day comes for another sacrifice, instead of livestock, the dragon receives a human, a petty thief cast out by society to be sacrificed. What will she do with them?

A pretty simple premise. A male human and female dragon who develop a friendship. I am interested in playing the role of the human. If you're interested, feel free to DM me. This will be roughly casual to advanced, meaning at least a paragraph in your reply. Please be good with grammar and if you have ideas of your own, we can discuss it before beginning proper.

MxF Superhero Couple RP

Well, it's about that time again for me to throw out another interest check. This time, I'll be veering away from fandoms in favor of something that involves OCs.

This story focuses on a young married couple who acquire superpowers and how they balance them with trying to live regular lives. This can range from comedic moments, such as not knowing their strength and breaking things, to slice of life moments like them trying to enjoy a day at the beach, to even battling supervillains in action sequences.

The action sequences may not happen too often early on, as I do want to focus building the characters and the world they inhabit. So, I will list some guidelines!

1.) I will be playing the male in this relationship ship, so I am looking for someone who can play a female character. I can play as side characters as we go.

2.) Second I am a mix between casual and advanced. That means I can write from anywhere between a paragraph or two, to several. It depends on how much I think needs to be said. I would prefer someone who is also within the range of casual to advanced. Also, have a decent grasp of grammar, please! A few typos are acceptable but if there's so many that it becomes distracting, it can really take me out of the mood.

3.) I am in my twenties, so I would prefer to RP with someone who is also within that range.

4.) We can craft the characters and world together but I do want there to be a limit to what kind of powers you can have. Overpowered abilities like controlling water that allows one to manipulate the ocean is a bit much. I think basic abilities like super strength and flight, or super speed, invisibility, or even a minor degree or telekinesis are acceptable powers. Just no god style powers. Think of this like how the Incredibles handled superpowers. Nobody was exactly overpowered in those films, which is what I want to tackle here.

5.) When it comes to posting, I will try to have at the very least one reply per day. If I cannot reply that day, I will at least inform you ahead of time. While I do not mind (much) if you ghost me, I will wait one week before messaging you to ask if you want to continue. If you do not reply in 24 hours, I will consider the RP dead and seek someone else.

My Life as a Teenage Robot RP [CLOSED]

Hey guys! Anyone here remember that Nickelodeon show My Life as a Teenage Robot? An underrated gem, that was. I blame Nick for screwing that show over. So, I figured why not try a roleplay set in the universe? This roleplay's story is going to be a little different than the usual fare. Let's get into the plot!

"Heir Apparent"

This story takes place after the events of Escape From Cluster Prime. Vega is the new queen of Cluster Prime after ousting her mother with Jenny's help. Vexus' loyalists have been driven from the planet and she is now free to institute new reforms that will reshape the empire into a more benevolent regime. Vega must balance her new responsibilities as queen with her teenage life. But out in the depths of space, one of Vexus' lieutenants, the Navarch, has rallied Vexus' scattered loyalists under his banner and is determined to topple Vega's regime before it can truly begin.

With the plot squared away, we can discuss guidelines.

1.) This sounds pretty obvious but you will have to have watched the show, especially Escape From Cluster Prime, to understand the characters and events. I wanted to try expanding on other characters that weren't just the main cast. Vega will be the protagonist here, which is who you will play. I will largely GM this story.

2.) I am in my twenties, so I would prefer for you to be within that range as well.

3.) I am pretty lenient in regards to length. I do ask that you be able to write two to three sentences at the very least. My length varies. Establishing posts will obviously have multiple paragraphs but dialogue exchanges can be anywhere from full paragraphs to a few sentences. However, I would greatly prefer Casual to Advanced.

4.) I will try to keep you updated with at least one post a day. If I can't make it, I will be sure to let you know, because my schedule is quote hectic lately. I should also make a note, if you ghost, I will wait one week before messaging you, asking if you still want to continue. If I receive no reply in 24 hours, I will drop the RP and move on to something else.

5.) Be somewhat decent writing action scenes, as there are bound to be fight scenes in this RP.

6.) This adventure is largely contained in Cluster Prime, so chances of Jenny or any of the Earth cast appearing are pretty slim.
