Leon Valentan

Preferred Moniker/Callsign: Spider

Nationality: North American Union

Appearance: Leon has short cropped blond hair, with a build that is more on the lanky side of things. Has blue eyes, and an arrow tattoo on his right cheek which he refuses to remove. There is also a scar on his left hand from a knife fight. He likes to dress in casual clothes with a lot of pockets when he has a choice in attire.

Personality: A rough edge with an understandable lack of respect for authority, Keon looks out for his own well being first and foremost. To those who have earned his loyalty though h is a solid ally not inclined towards betrayal. Otherwise he tends to be relaxed about this whole thing, and it hasn't really sunk in just how desperate the situation really is. So he's in for a rude awakening when the time comes.

History: The UNE prided itself on the prosperity and unity that it had brought to Earth. But even in this supposed golden age before the war, there were those who slipped through the cracks. Leon was one of those, through no real fault of his own. His parents divorced when he was young, leaving him with his father who was busy working in a steel mill in what used to be the Midwestern USA.

Because of that Leon was left on his own much of the time, aside from those times when his father got him a sitter. This lack of parental supervision meant that he was able to fall in with the wrong kind of crowd, and he ended up running off to join the Burn Gang, one of the criminal groups that had sprung up following the formation of the North American Union within the UNE. He found a place in the ranks and a surrogate family, and grew good at what he did. Yet at the time he did not have aspirations of rising higher, and was content where he was in the organization.

With the war dragging on and not going well crime was able to flourish, meaning that Leon was busier than ever. Unfortunately his luck eventually ran out and he was captured by the authorities. Rather than throwing him in prison or executing him however, he was instead dragooned into military service, where he now fights for his freedom.

Personal Effects: His trusty pocketknife, with several notches in it

Skills: Aside from those required by the service (Shooting, piloting, etc), Leon is also skilled at lockpicking, lifting cars, messing with security measures and a bit of work with explosives.

Motivation: To win the war and make it to tomorrow in one piece. He was 'drafted', in actuality conscripted.
Finch

Left on his own, Finch found himself exploring the base that he had been deposited in by his new allies. He seemed to have the time on his hands, so if he was going to be staying here for a while then he might as well get some idea of what the place looked like. He didn't particularly care about what was going on in the city right now, figuring that somebody would handle it. And if they didn't, well, it wasn't his problem anymore.

Looking around though, he wasn't entirely impressed. Well okay that wasn't fair. The entire thing was made of metal, from the walls to the floor, and it was pretty sturdy and solid. He was impressed by that, since he couldn't think of any place like it in his own memory. He just wasn't all that impressed by the decor, since aside from being metal it wasn't all that fancy. He supposed they most likely cared more about utility than aesthetics. Which he could understand, but if you were going to have power you might as well live a little.

There were a few things not metal though, like the chairs. He supposed he had to be grateful for that, or at least his back would be if they were going to have meetings here. It could be that there was a more practical reason related to whomever had made the place, but he liked to think it was just because no one wanted to sit in metal chairs all the time.

But for now he spent the time wandering a bit, eventually shifting to looking for a room and not just random exploration. There were some good options there, though geographically he didn't know how much of a difference it made. He ended up choosing one that was relatively equidistant from one of the studies and the dining areas. It could have been worse.

It was too bad that he didn't have his stuff with him though. Maybe they'd let him go back and retrieve some of it? He supposed it wasn't that big of a deal, but he had some sentimental attachment to some of the things he had. There was no harm in asking about it later.

Finch was about to move on when he caught sight of the mask on his bed, suddenly there when it had not been before. He would have been more confused by it had he suddenly not remembered that the Alkahest had an Epic with teleportation related abilities with them. So that probably explained it.

Picking up the mask, he looked it over and noted the blobs where the eyes would be, and the star where the beak would have been on an owl. Keeping things close to theme, but not being too incredibly obvious. He was okay with it.

Thinking on it for a moment, he slipped on the mask before turning to resume his exploration. So far so good, and he was interested in seeing what else this place had in store for him.
I'm interested. I have a faction, I'm just working out what I should do for a charactr.
Now I've managed to trick myself into wondering what sort of music group Julia/Jillian would have. Magical Girl Idols OP
I'm not. I'm waiting for the J twins :V
I just wanna finish the garage scene before posting there, in case something happens and Alicia ends up incapacitated and unable to respond to the fight
Alicia Hayden

In spite of the vow that she had made, Alicia was finding it very difficult to hold on to patience at the moment after everything that had happened. The rising tension over the past days, the fight, Penny getting injured and Thalia running off wit her, it did not put her in the best of moods to say the least. So she was not overly inclined to be considerate to the duo confronting her right now.

"My, how quickly we're at the threat of violence, in spite of you supposedly having the moral high ground if the way you're talking right now is any indication," Alicia replied with her fingers drumming at her hip as she glared at Julia. "Not that I'd expect even the slightest effort at understanding since you clearly don't have a clue what you were walking into besides trying to prove that you were some big shot powerhouse."

After a moment she decided that it wasn't worth it, and took a step forwards. "Well, I'm leaving. It was nice meeting you Scout. I'm Alicia, I hope we'll see each other again in the future," she said back to their unexpected ally with a genuine smile, before her focus returned to Julia. "Feel free to try and stop me so you can have your ego trip. I'm sure the group of Beckoners across the street will have something to say about that."

Without waiting to see if Julia would call her bluff (If it was indeed a bluff and not just fact. They were near Beacon territory after all), Alicia began walking away. Perhaps she would pay for this later, but in the moment she just didn't care.

Not a moment's rest it seems. The life of beacon is suffering.

There is also the slight difficulty of some patrons probably not being amused if their former girls are picked up by somebody else. So there's a bit of politics involved.
