I believe option B would be the most suited for Divinus, to be honest.

Also, why is everyone talking of 'wannabe forest God' like that? My Goddess will be one of the cool kids, I swear :(
I’m moving to Serbia boyz.

mate for real? Noice
Well, I call dibs on Vegetation you... You... Weeds?
@Double Capybara, I overlooked that, I agree completely in that case. Doing away with instant transportation and natural fast travel will open up a lot of new possibilities for interaction. I can just imagine how certain Gods might act when forced to travel for weeks on a wagon pulled by slaves.
While I agree with removing teleportation and instant travel, we probably should have a rapid travel system in place. Perhaps not something inherent to the Gods, but readily found in Galbar for some reason. Maybe a network of interconnected wormholes unique to Galbar that makes fast travel feasible and is only survivable by Gods, Demigods and really powerful/resilient creatures (dragons, heroes, really resilient or strong willed mortals...)? That'd also serve as a starting point for the 'hotspots' we discussed earlier, as Gods would want Temples built around them, Demigods would wish to build empires to conquer all of them, and Heroes would try to use them on their selfless odysseys despite the possibility of death.

P.S: I say wormhole, but they wouldn't be as quick as a wormhole. Imagine it like a shortcut. If travelling from one place to another by foot on Galbar's surface would normally take one month, a wormhole connecting the start to the finish would make the journey in say, three hours.

P.S.S: And, of course, access to such 'wormholes' wouldn't be guaranteed. If someone you are enemies with has control over a specific route you need to take, you'd have to either fight for access, play politics, or just take the scenic route and suck a lemon.

P.S.S.S: On the topic of removing fine control over the immediate surrounding of the Gods, I think we should keep it as it is. We could probably make the radius of their control smaller, maybe by half of what it is, but removing it entirely would be no fun. Of course, if you want to do some majestic weather stuff, you'd have to use a lotta might or lick the weather God's shoes. And, if we're gonna put this on Advanced, i don't think we have to worry too much about power-players and stuff. Not that we need to elsewhere, as we have gotten really good at discerning who would be a good player from the applicants we get.
Frettzo, make me cry all you want, you still owe me a drawing of a hain ;_;

Those lil buggers are so difficult to picture in my head! I actually imagine their heads to be shaped like the Alien from Alien vs Predator
Whelp, I am just ashamed to show my face in here. Every time I "come back", I end up disappearing instantly, and it all boils down to the little thing that gave me the fire to write as Astarte... A desire for freedom.

It was something I didn't have, freedom, back in my old home, and my greatest way of tasting it was through writing as Astarte. Her antics, her personality, the way she was unpredictable. It was all so lovely to me, such a breath of fresh air to my soul.

It pains me to say, I don't think it is so anymore. I love her, and I love Divinus and all the characters in it (I mean, who can forget all the adventures we've had? The years we've spent together?), but I just can't keep writing this character, I can't get myself to bring her back as she should be.

Those of you who joined Godspeed noticed the vast difference in my characters. While Astarte has always been my character, and she's always been unpredictable, Aella was much more calm, collected and serious. It reflects my growth as a person, the things I desire in life, and I believe even that has changed lately.

I don't know your names, or your faces, I don't know your dreams, but is it not true that we've been a part of each other's lives for a long time, is it not true that we will remember and cherish, with so much nostalgia, these little characters and stories we've told here?

I've derailed my own post long enough. I want you, my friends, to know that I want to keep sharing words with you. I want to keep building worlds by your side. And so, I want to offer you my full support in this coming iteration of the Divinus series. Do you need graphics done for the wikia? I can do so. Do you need to talk to someone about ideas for characters or arcs? I'm always available for you guys. Please do ask me for help if you need it, and I will do my best to support you.

Also I might create an entirely new character when the new Divinus comes around. These last few years have been so hectic yet so dull for me, so I really want to bring some color back into my stuff, yeah? :)
Sup, I am bout ready to get this started. Since posts are kinda on the slow side, I'd like to ask permission to post double, triple, quadruple posts. Is that alright? Of course, I'll wait a couple days between each post just in case.

Also excuse me if my writing is whacky, I'm taking the rust off and trying out my new wheels (my new laptop). Hopefully by getting back into my beloved Divinus I'll rekindle my creative fire back to its height.
Dawn Casts Long Shadows
Part One: I Seek Revenge

Flashes of white, purple, yellow and lavender fill my vision; my consciousness is then covered in a haze that could only be related to absolute darkness.

.

. .

. . .

It is the skull-splitting pain in my head that awakens me, and as I open my eyes, with my vision blurry and my mind in disarray, the first thing that I see are the blades of grass swaying to and fro with the breeze, with the horizon behind them and the blue early morning sky above all.

But those things do not catch my attention. I struggle to my feet.

Most of my wooden armor was missing or damaged beyond repair so I quickly strip out of whatever remained on my form and stared at my left wrist, where a crude message had been carved and scarred onto the sensitive skin.

‘KILL THE TRAITOR’

A chill went down my spine and I felt a tightness in my chest. My vision goes red and I start breathing rapidly and grunting as my body threatens to lose its balance.

“GGGRRAAAAAHH!”

I roar as I turn and smash my fist into a tree.

I take a few deep breaths and calm down. I look at the tree I just punched and admire the cracked and splintered surface my fist left behind and then look at my fist. The skin covering the knuckles was gone and I could see the cracked bones underneath. I felt no pain, however, as my eyes caught sight of something far worse.

Behind the tree I’d just punched was a large battlefield… Or should I say, a graveyard. It extended for as far as the eyes could see, overflowing with rotten blood, ruined soil, mutilated bodies of both men and beasts. Flies roamed in swarms, and now that I was calm and was more collected, the smell hit me.

I was lucky I had nothing to eat for a long time.

I do not remember much of what I did next, but now I am here, in an inn on the outskirts of a town somewhere in this gods-forsaken World. The woman sitting in front of me across the table takes a big swig of her ale and sets the mug down loudly.

“So, y’want to join m’team, heh!”

She said in a foreign accent to mine, before looking up at me with a smirk on her face. She was short, and I was tall.

I looked her up and down slowly, at least the parts I could see. She wore the thick calluses on her hands proudly, and the way her lean muscles threatened to explode into action at any time told me all I needed to know. We both were strong.

I nodded my head.

“You’re a quiet one, I like you,” She said, sobering up, “and we do need more hands if we wish to head up north. You’re in. Got weapons?”

I nodded my head again.

“Good, and armour?”

I shook my head no.

“A shame, at least I see you’ve got furs for the cold,” She says as she admires the bear furs protecting my body from frostbite, “We’ll get you some armour on the way there. Could you repeat your name for me, girl?”

I look at my hands, remembering how quickly my injuries healed and stare at the message on my left wrist again. I caress the scars with my fingers and feel the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.

“My name…” I muttered, my long blonde hair serving as a curtain between me and the woman. Flashes of memories I did not recognize filled my mind for a moment, and then I lifted my gaze and stared the woman right in the eye, “My name is Seraph.”

Heya guys! I wanted to pop by to say I'm pretty much settled now, although I still havo no computer (so posts still are not entirely possible).

I have a roof, a job and enough income to save up for the pc, so Astarte's comeback may happen well before 2019!
