The first thing Wendil told me seeing my character is "Oh another solo". I thought it was on purpose at this point lol
@ShadowSunRisen
I think our characters will need to speak. :O

Maria had failed to notice the amassing group of students that came to watch the training and only really took note of them when Charlotte caught their attention. "You really are that known, are you not, Charlotte? That is quite formidable." Maria said, answering her companion's question with a smile - the first honest smile since she walked to the girls' side.

Maria followed that by ignoring Charlotte's comment about needing girls like her. She, of course, disagreed. Maria felt like her presence was a potential risk to everyone around her...but that train of thoughts was redundant. She felt there was no need to bring it up out loud and, anyway, had a creeping suspicion that Charlotte might already know how Maria felt inside.

“The Ministry has an idea about what’s causing these Pageless spikes. Some of those girls had a run in with a rogue Magical Girl today.”

She followed Charlotte away from the crowd, remaining silent at first. She had briefly heard of what had happened but only in whispers. Charlotte, if she was to be believed of course, confirmed it. Of course the Ministry would keep such dangerous news hidden from them. Maria sighed, looking down. News of a rogue magical girl was bad enough - and in a way terrifying - and they wanted her mixed in all of it? It was as if the Ministry twisted her fears on purpose in the worst ways possible.

"I am afraid you might be right." she answered the the red head's last bit about getting used to her designed role and finding a teammate. "It cannot be avoided. I just hope that they will accept my presence. Very well then, Miss Clementine. I thank you for your time and wish you well."

Maria politely bowed her farewell to Ozma and made her way down to the arena, arriving shortly after the blonde haired girl, Celina. Maria would also walk closer and give the same polite bow she gave Charlotte just moments earlier - an act of etiquette clearly betraying her real age.

"It's a pleasure meeting you, Miss Lupin." she began by answering the newcomer.

"My name is Maria de Borbón. It's a pleasure to meet all of you, truly. I had the pleasure of watching the end of your previous training exercise and was... impressed." Maria deemed unnecessary to mention out loud why she was sent here just yet. She did not know how the group would react to that, and did not wish to pass as pompous or pretentious. She then walked closer towards Valeria, who was in her conjured vehicle still.

"Greetings, Miss Weizenbaum. Could I possibly have a word with you if possible?"

The day was a clear one; blue sky with the occasional lone cloud and a breeze of wind just strong enough to cool body and soul for a well earned rest after putting in some honest work for your ordinary dock worker. People in Coris seemed happy enough, despite everything. It was true that the average folk seemed a little too uninterested in the war but it was mostly due to them being so far from the borders. It did not help that the Twin Kingdoms of Coris and Latis had been suffering the occasional border aggression from the Empire for the last few years, possibly forcing a bit of complaisance on the citizens. However, those that passed by the booming Dragonborn's voice couldn't help themselves but stop to listen to the sermon. Some might even have been affected by it, but if that was the case it showed only little. People loved their quiet lives, and few were willing to accept the facts that might ruin said quiet life, even facts as dangerous and life changing as War. Nevertheless, no one stopped the Cleric or hurled insults at him. Most were used to street criers, Coris being one of the more multi-cultural place it wasn't too rare to see people, clerics and priests included, shouting their beliefs in the streets.

The Redd Snapper Inn was, in fact, unremarkable. Even though it was still early in the day - early afternoon - the Inn was mostly full of people talking, eating and drinking, eagerly spending their hard earned coins away. A brief silence fell on the tavern for a moment when the Dragonborn stepped in, but was quick to be broken. By the time the white-haired maiden had joined the Cleric, the Tavern keeper - a heartful looking Dwarf - had already brought Meat and Ale to the table and was happy to go get the woman's new order. Adventurers were usually pretty lucrative in such places - and adventurers they sure looked like.

By the time a third Adventurer entered, as equally armored as the Anhur cleric, people in the Inn started paying attention. Mercenaries, perhaps? For the war? Who knew. Aurelian was right in the the Innkeeper was a retired fisherman, as was made plain obvious by the many decorations around the room of his past life on the waters.

The people of the tavern began feeling a bit uneasy at the seemingly endless stream of far from ordinary looking folks...but all that was quickly put to rest when the most recent newcomer bought everyone a round. People began laughing again, some toasted to Liora and the table of "Adventurers" without even knowing who any of them were. Truly, they loved simplicity.

This is the scene that Rean would witness as she herself entered the Inn. At this point, people paid no mind to her being far busier reveling, their mind having been put at ease by one simple act of generosity.

By the time Arthur found his way to his new kin, the day was further close to evening and the Tavern was seriously packed. The Innkeeper, the Dwarf who by now introduced himself as Dargas Stonefish, chose about this time to make his way to the table and interrupt the group briefly.

"Sorry to intrude on ya, but I was wonderin' if any of ye fine lads and lassies needed anythin' more in the likes of food and drinks?" he asked as politely as his thick dwarven accent allowed.

"Now I don' want to be intrudin' on you, but folks hav' been wonderin' if you all are mercs or adventurers? We don't see a whole lot of those lately, y'see, and well.." he said with some sort of nervous laughter towards the end, obviously wondering how to formulate the request "...well, to say plainly; the small folks could use a bunch of hard workin' adventurous folks right now. That' all I be sayin'. If ye'r interested, take a gander at the board right by the entrance, for what it's worth. Anyhow, if ye need anything, the lassies will be happy to help! Have a fine evenin'."

With this interaction, the Dwarf called over one of his waitress to take any orders the table would have for him and went away. While straightforward, it was not unexpected. Adventurers were often times easy to spot and in high demands for things the high ups might not want to look into, or could not look into. And in times of war, it seemed adventurers preferred to stay clear of affected states, this would be why the Envoys garnered so much attention. it seemed Liora's act of generosity made the people believe they might be willing to help.

If anyone was to look on the board, they would find much information posted; help demanded to defend farmsteads near the border, missing people wanting to be found, guards needed for ships going at sea and the such. One, however, seemed more prominent than others. It was a paper posted by the Guards of the city asking for help in finding a missing patrol.

The reward was a substantial amount of Gold as well as an opportunity to speak to the Marshal, if such a thing was needed.
Of course, these were all unrelated to the Envoys mission, but funds and information could potentially be useful to them.

Niall had no idea who this Tuatha was nor this Cecilia for that mattered, but he did not let it deter him from her goal. There seemed like very little choices were realistically opened to Niall. He could not cut him loose from those chains, and nothing useful was around the room neither. With the information the captive gave him, Niall made his way to the door leading into the room the Formorian entered and peeked in.

If he was lucky, the Axe might be somewhere he could be able to pick it up and somehow, with it, allow the Tuatha to free himself if he was to be believed. If the Axe was indeed left laying on a table or against a wall, Niall would attempt to stealthily grab it and bring it back to the prisoner. If otherwise it was on this female formorian, well... he would need to possibly knock her out, too, if such a thing was feasible. If she proved too much of a threat, Niall was still confidant enough in his own abilities and magic to be able to get away safely. He just...could not abandon the Tuatha to it's fate. His oath to the Queen made it so, if not other choices were left, he would abandon the captive to save his life so he could uphold said oath - but not before every options were depleted.

With his options in mind, Niall peeked in the room, ready to act.

Yui could see past Ukiko's bravado, but once the spell was done the Phantom magical girl would feel pretty relieved. The younger Yui was somewhat impressed by Ukiko's ability to seemingly wave away any fear, doubt or even pain. It couldn't be healthy, for sure, but she couldn't help but think that it made Ukiko seem tougher.

Yui stepped aside, holding her bellflower-wand tighter as her fellow magical girls attacks went off on the Shade in a grandiose display or fire and magic until the Mantis monster was no more. She couldn't help but feel sad at the life that ended. Yui couldn't know for sure that Shades were alive to begin with, but seeing anything disappear in such a way didn't feel right to her. When she made them dissipate through her "Devotion" ability, she at least had the luxury of imagining they went away peacefully.

But, that small note of sadness came and went as Yui stepped back up to Ukiko and Kana.

"I wish I could help but...I've only started about two weeks ago..." Yui answered to Bura-Bura as they grouped up.
"I'm glad we managed to get it, though. It was bigger than anything I've met so far. That was kind of...scary..." she said trying to laugh at off a bit at the end as she scratched behind her head.

"You two were impressive though! I didn't know things could get this flashy!" she added, all smiles, until "Oh!...You too Bura-Bura! I think it's very nice of you to help Ukiko-senpai with all that. Hana isn't as chatty as you, so I was surprised!"

Then Yui had a short pause before sheepishly adding; "So...Can I stay with you guys... for tonight?"

Maria watched on as the girls in the training area kept going at it. She could not hear what they said, but actions are worth more than words - or so it said. She saw the conjured metal enemy and how the girls took care of it. There was some slip ups, but...

"It is too early to judge." she simply answered to Charlotte's question about the girls' training. "I had hoped I was no one's replacement. I feel like it could make this task that I was given slightly harder if I am seen as the replacement." she calmly said about Lucette. She was sent here to take care of this group of girls and make them work together...despite the fact that Maria herself was a loner when it came to magical girls business. Now, she was being told that on top of all the already apparent struggles there would be, she might be an outsider too. The thought was not reassuring. Charlotte, at least, did not seem to think so herself. Maybe others would too.

“Though, I take it, you’re also here because of the Pageless activity, no?”

She nodded, hands still joined together at her front, looking down to the training area while she spoke; "It would seem like it. It was far from the first time that the Ministry attempted to have me." she turned to Charlotte. "However, this was the first time that they were not asking. I felt and sensed the Pageless restlessness myself, as I am sure you did."

She turned back to the group of girls below. It seemed that the other foreigner, this Valeria, was doing a decent job at teaching the others. Even if it was all - as Charlotte said - a little crude. "No matter." she added to Charlotte.

"I am here of my own accord. I had reasons of my own to accept to come, after all."
Sorry for the delay - and the double post!

BUT! - IC post is up. The rest is up to the group, for now. The story and the world will be very reactive to your actions, and I will try to let it be as open ended as possible.
