Current They call it science "fiction" when there are currently more planets inhabited by robots than planets inhabited by humans.

If you're ever lonely, dim all the lights and put on a horror movie. After a while, it won’t feel like you're alone anymore. Problem solved.

Who I Am

Just some scrub nerd who happens to RP on this site. While I tend to gravitate more towards building worlds and GMing and all that, I join RPs from time to time as well. I tend to stay in the casual section of the Guild (though I am open to trying other things) and my preferences tend to lean towards slice-of-life RPs and superhero RPs, along with the occasional fandom RP, depending. I enjoy trying new things, though, and I'm willing to hop onboard any genre if I find it appealing.

I consider myself fairly lax and friendly, so if you wanna chat, my PMs are always open.

"Wait, since you're a hitman, can't you just scan the bar code on the back of your head and just bring your post back?"

Halle smiled with her trademark warm, sweet, childlike smile as she listened to their stories. "That's cool. My summer was...uh...pretty boring. I can't carry my wand with me, so I just kind of hung around with my parents, visited some relatives, watched the news on the television...you know, the box with the screen that shows a moving image of somebody else? I think I explained that one already."

Never in a million years did Halle think she'd have to explain the television to her best friend. 'Twas life in the wizarding world, she supposed.

"I kind of wanted to lock myself in my room and try some spells, but I don't want to risk breaking the Ministry of Magic's laws. I'd rather not get expelled," she said with a sad grin. "But overall, pretty boring. Not the worst, though.I could think of a lot of ways it could be worse."

She addressed hot stuff Damian's question with glee. "This year? I mean, we have OWLs this year, right? That's cool. But also kind of nerve-wracking. I mean, I totally bombed Potions last year and now I'm kind of worried that I'm going to fail it this year and the same thing with Herbology they're tough classes and even the other classes that I did well in will be harder so I don't really know if I'm going to make it next year to move on with my education but overall I'm excited, but a little nervous, but excited.

Halle demonstrated her ability to talk fast masterfully as she pumped out the words like a machine gun pumps bullets. Realizing she had spoke faster than what the human ear could comprehend, she gave an embarrassed blush. "sorry, I do that a lot," she said quietly, before taking a seat.

"Anyway, I hope you guys are ready to get crushed in Quidditch this year. We Puffs are taking the House Cup," Halle said determinedly as she waved at the newcomer to the caboose, Elliot. "You don't stand a chance."

As Ash gazed out at the ever-nearing Beacon Academy, she made sure to note the people she was standing with. After all, these other students were possible future teammates, so it was good to at least know the types of people she would be possibly dealing with for these next few years at Beacon. Her eyes flickered from person to person as she assessed them and took mental notes about all sorts of information that may prove pertinent in the future.

Suddenly, the ship gave a sudden jerk, knocking Ash off her balance slightly and giving her quite a start. The same voice crackled over the P.A. once again.

"Sorry, ladies and gents, didn’t realize how close we were to the ground. You can pick your luggage up in the bay area under the ship, where you can store it in your designated locker after the headmaster’s speech. Welcome to Beacon Academy.”

At long last. Thought I was gonna die in there.

"Check, one, two." A tall, grey-haired, bespectacled man in his 40s or 50s perhaps spoke into a microphone, in front of a crowd of students. "This is working? Excellent. If possible, I'd like to keep this brief." He looked out to the crowd of Huntsman, desperate to join Beacon for one reason or another. Many of them would not succeed in this task.

"You have come here for many different reasons, whether altruistic or not. But what every single person that steps into Beacon seeks is improvement. It is my duty, as well as the duty of the staff here at Beacon, to help provide that. But perhaps I should change my wording here. We will provide the knowledge that you will need to succeed, but it is up to you - and your team- to grow. As fighters, and as people. Body, and soul."

"That being said, I stated I'd like for this to be brief, so I'll cut off the philosophy here. Dinner will be served shortly, with a wide range of meals catered to your various diets and cultural differences, and then you may head into the Great Hall to sleep. Tomorrow is your initiation, which will determine your future here at Beacon, so I suggest you get some rest. I will see you all tomorrow morning."

As he finished his speech and turned away, the students began to talk among themselves. As he walked away from the mic, a smile slipped onto Ozpin's face.

One incredibly delicious dinner later...

Ash emerged in a cloud of steam from the locker room. Her short, ash gray hair was slicked back and tucked behind her ears, and she was dressed in a casual t-shirt and pair of black-and-white striped shorts. Slung over her shoulder was a bag of stuff that included her sleeping bag, toiletries, an old book, and a flashlight. Ash had changed and showered quickly, and as such the Great Hall was practically empty, save for a few young men attempting to impress each other with their wrestling and literally flexing on each other.

Men.

Ash picked a spot along the wall, unrolling a large grey-black sleeping bag, and inserted herself halfway in. She closed her eyes briefly and flashed back through her past few years of training. Tomorrow was the day. The day. If she messed up, at best she’d be sent packing.

At worst, her luggage would be sent back without her.

Needless to say, she needed to be ready, and ready she would be.

"Mom! Dad! I'm going to be fine! I've went to this school for four years already; Year 5 is literally going to be a piece of cake!" Halle moaned as she stood outside of King's Cross Station, a wide range of luggage and a cage with a grumpy owl surrounding her. "You don't have to worry about me."

Her mom remained unconvinced. "Dearie, I'm just worried...there's so much that we don't know and we can't help you with out here. What if-"

"Miranda, she's going to be late." Alexander spoke up, eyeing his wife.

Her mom sniffed and joined her husband to give their daughter a hug. "Well...make sure you write back, alright? We'll see you for break." And on that note, the two entered their family minivan and drove away.

Halle dragged her luggage into King's Cross Station. For the most part, she blended in well with the rest of the Muggles, though Gawain earned a few stares here and there. Halle moved past and, recalling very confused memories from her first year, marched straight into the wall between Platform 9 and Platform 10.

Entering Platform 9 3/4 brought back a myriad of pleasant memories about Hogwarts, but she had no time to waste- her parent's goodbye speech has cost her valuable times and by the looks of it, she was going to be late. Halle rattled along, pulling her large amount of luggage across the station towards the dutiful, shiny red, steam locomotive, the Hogwarts Express. Halle yanked her luggage onboard, hardly minding the gap, and giving Gawain a sudden shake, which caused him to caw angrily.

"Calm down, you. Now, where to sit?" Halle looked up and down the train. The Slytherins were out of the question for sure- even with Piper, Halle didn't feel quite comfortable sitting with the House of Slytherin. Not Day 1. On the other hand, Halle felt almost too comfortable sitting with the Hufflepuffs. She loved every member of her house dearly, but House Hufflepuff was going to be there every day when she went to the common room. That left two other houses. Halle dragged her luggage and, after a brief scuffle, dropped all her bags. "Better idea." She whipped out her wand, pointing it determinedly at her luggage. "Locomotor!"

The luggage, like it had a mind of its own, rose up from the ground and diligently followed her. Halle, relieved, grabbed hold of Gawain's cage, which she didn't trust the magic to handle, and strode down the aisle, towards the compartment where a bunch of Gryffindor girls were sitting. Gryffindor, Halle's 2nd-best House.

"Hey, you guys have a spot?" Halle asked to one girl with flaming red hair.

"We can probably squeeze you in. Those Slytherin girls, they almost filled up all the spots in here. Those snakes..."

With a gut feeling on who one of those snakes were, Halle thanked the girls and moved past. Joined by her flying luggage, she moved past into the end of the train, where Ravenclaw seemed to be concentrating, along with a certain Slytherin girl that Halle cherished.

"Piper! Is there room back here?" The question was somewhat unnecessary, because their clearly was room back there, and Halle didn't wait for an answer before directing her wand towards the upper compartment for luggage. All of her necessities flew into the compartment awkwardly, remaining half-jammed in. Close enough. Halle held her last possession, Gawain's cage, in her hand."Did you have a nice summer?

She also looked towards the other two people present in the caboose- Dame, who was gazing dreamily out the window, and Jaxon, who was standing with Piper. "Nice to see the two of you, too," she said as she pocketed her wand and gave the two a wave. "Hope you had nice summers, too."
