I like rats, jalapeño poppers, y2k aesthetics and idol games. I am pretty extroverted on the internet due to how easy it is to connect with people with similar interests. My personality may come across as aggressively friendly or over the top at times and I apologize in advance for that, whoops.

As for my strange signatures and profile pictures, a lot of them are a part of a specific aesthetic I´ve developed over the years that's basically 2000s aesthetics with a focus on the technology that explore themes of loss, abandonment, filth, and hopelessness, rather than the optimistic and mainstream view of the future that was common during that period of time.

“...alright, silicone rubber…” muttered Nikolai. Reading a tablet underwater tended to twist the body into strange positions. His legs slowly thumped to a steady rhythm as he attempted to jog his memory on the construction material known as silicone rubber. He felt mildly ashamed at not knowing the origins of the materials he was so proficient in using. Ores gave metal, that was obvious. But rubber? How would they manage to extract that?

His mumbles reached a crescendo and then stopped. “Oh, I understand now. I can get that from plant matter. Creepvines.”

Nikolai wasn´t the sort of person to get invested in the natural world. When his PDA informed him that silicone rubber was obtainable through the harvesting of creepvines, he simply cocked his head in confusion. None of the plants around him gave the impression of appearing appropriate enough to receive the strange name. Everything in the safe shallows was, well, safe. He wasn´t one for vacations, but he begrudgingly admitted that it would make for a beautiful place to relax in. That is, if someone consented to arrive.

He swam towards bursts of plant life that lay scattered around the pristine sands and repeatedly shook his head at the device in his hands. None of them were suitable for extraction, much to his disappointment. He spoke to Natsumi again, this time without even bothering to turn around. The communication technology in their suits didn´t care if they weren´t facing each other and he was slowly slipping into his workaholic tendencies again.

“I´m going to have to venture outside of this area to find the plants I need.” he said with a small sigh of frustration. Among the plethora of now insignificant plants there were the occasional clusters of creepvines, yet he knew that they would provide very little use to a couple of physically active humans. In the distance, more of them could be seen. Their untamed strands of green were a stark contrast to the tranquil atmosphere the shallows possessed. “Technically, there are mature specimens around here that could be used, but I want to explore even further.” He began to gently swim towards the marine forest without waiting for a response, once again propelled by curiosity.

Hugo was able to trust Amari more after hearing her open up. He realized that he wasn´t the only one who was thinking about the fate of his friends. Her situation was surprisingly even worse than his, with her friend having been on board the ship at the time of the disaster. Hugo gained some respect for the girl at seeing her so visibly unaffected by the whole ordeal. She even went as far as putting a basic plan together with one person dedicated to food and the other for repairs.

Putting the escape pod back together was what he had originally wished for, so he had no complaints. Hugo gave a thumbs up and exclaimed a loud “Okay!” at his companion, waiting for her to dive in before doing so himself. A quick look at his PDA would have informed him that they were currently located above an area called the kelp forest, but he had no desire to sit on the floor and read when the opportunity to get a more direct answer hanged in front of him so readily. The large man squatted in silence. Despite his rugged appearance, his job had led him to develop a high level of flexibility.

will write up a post soon ohoho
*I attempt to waddle into the thread seductively and quietly. My large fursuit made entirely of rubber squeaks loudly and painfully with every stomp of my canine feet*

ELIF

* * *

Elif knew the mechanisms of the human body well from years of idly staring at whatever medical documents happened to be near. The way muscles pulled and tightened on the inside was always covered by a thick layer of skin, discoverable only by thorough research. The titan´s head that peered over the wall disgusted her. It was a perversion of the human body, a network of exposed ligaments and tissue. Its appearance gave her the impression of being grotesque just by existing, being shameless and exposed. Elif´s mind was quick to register the titan but slow to act. How else would one process the worst possible outcome happening right in front of them?

She ran with total abandon. The screaming was unlike anything she had ever heard before, more pained than any surgery she had ever witnessed. It was even worse when it would come to a halt, as it could only mean that the source had been stopped. Elif´s screams joined the rest of the stampede´s and she took off sprinting away from the vile titan. It was made frustrating by having to halt every few seconds in order to avoid crashing into another panicked villager, all while having to run around boulders that were once part of the wall. Even the occasional domestic animal blocked her path in the midst of its own run for survival.

A multitude of thoughts raced throughout her head, but the most prominent one was needing to find her father. He had no way to defend them and was about to be overrun with patients, but she felt that they had to be together if they wanted to survive. The streets that she had spent so long calling home were now a frantic and constantly changing volley of information that her brain struggled to comprehend. She made out stores and landmarks that seemed more recognizable than others and ran towards them in the hopes of eventually reaching her destination. Her hurried mind reasoned that this was a more rational plan than choosing a route and sticking to it. The dread that gnawed on her insides grew more and more with each little store that she had managed to reach, and intensified at the sight of a stall she had known for years reduced to nothing more than a crater. Still, she had to go on.

Octavio stood stiff and alert, ear pressed against the inn´s walls. He managed to find the silver lining of staying at questionable inns, and it was how thin their walls were. A muffled yet very loud voice cried out that they were surrounded and had to step outside.

He was understandably hesitant to bolt out of his room during such a dangerous time, and had opted to wait just a bit more. Lynx watched him motionlessly with a facial expression that communicated the feeling of “I´m bored and waiting for orders.” Their eyes met and Octavio placed an index finger to his lips as a warning. The door responded to his exaggerated movements by creaking loudly. Octavio had managed to find another downside to staying at questionable inns, and it was how terrible the doors were.

As soon as the duo stepped outside they ran for it. The other members of their hastily formed party had no problem with having lengthy conversations and mental breakdowns, so Octavio reasoned that dashing towards them was an acceptable course of action. That, and the place was on fire, which tends to be a characteristic of places that you don´t want to be in.

He greeted them by clasping his hands together and spreading them far and wide in questionable joy. “Do not fear, my allies. I have been awake, planning for our escape with my cute and clever familiar! And it just so happens that I can use illusion magic!” He may or may not have embellished the act of hiding and waiting, and he may or may not have been hoping that people wouldn´t come to the realization that he would have only known about their plan had he actively been eavesdropping. Today was full of discoveries it seemed, as Octavio discovered that the silver lining of things being on fire was that it made for no one asking too many questions!

Of course, it was important to note that his illusion magic was suited for deceiving rich people and taking their belongings and not whatever it was that was happening right now, but being useless in a life or death situation was the fastest way to stop being surrounded by meat shields. He wanted to be useful, but had no idea what plans they had concocted and settled on keeping things vague and safe.

Sorry for my absence, ill start working on a post soon!

“Ah… right… Houstank! Houstank…” Hector´s once neat surroundings became a flurry of off-white paper as he struggled to find what he wanted. He picked a very colorful and slim brochure from a pile and unfolded it with pride.

“Alright!” shouted Hector as he began to read the pamphlet out loud with honor, wanting to pick out the most exciting bits to hype them up before handing it to them. “Greetings visitor and welcome to Houstank the world´s only industrial septic tank turned city…” His eyes were jittery with both nervousness and trying to find anything positive.

“...bask in the humid and wonderful temperatures that our amazing city has to offer and enjoy your favorite meat platters without asking any questions as to their source and…”

“…voted on by readers of Kalosian Tourism Weekly as Kasparc´s sixth most pleasant place to get stabbed in… uhm…”

Despite its questionable reputation, Houstank had been frequently described by locals as Slopadelphia's better, more stable sibling. It was a step above the more rustic territories that surrounded it and the residents claimed that the humidity was good for your skin provided you popped the occasional refresh tablet to keep toxicity at bay. Close to the city were various junkyards infamous for housing several of Kasparc's numerous gangs that were just starting out and didn't have enough money to terrorize New Pork.

Despite being several years older than the trio, Hector suddenly appeared to look much smaller and meeker. “Well, no matter what this pamphlet says I'm confident that your journey will be safe and sound as long as you follow the rules.” Hector turned to the side, brochure held in a death grip.

“And as long as you avoid… them.”

The final word of his sentence had an edge to it. A warning tinged with fear. Hector´s face hardened and recovered whatever roughness it had lost in the past few hours of bickering with teenagers and the elderly. “It´s not on your map, but near that city is a bad, bad place that you should stay away from. No one trusts each other enough to give a good report on how it looks like or what´s in there, but if during your travels you see anything too clean, run.”

"...And as for the pokemon that you'll encounter, Houstank has an abundance of poison types. There are steel types too in the junkyards, but you shouldn't go there at all!" The warning was meant for the whole group, but he stared at Harland and only Harland out of anticipating his reckless behavior.
DID SOMEONE SAY RATS????????????????????

I FUCKING LOVE RATS

WELCOME TO THE GUILD RAT FAN

Lynx pounced on Octavio in one swift motion and stared down at the sleeping man with impatience. The familiar had gotten used to being placed in ridiculously dangerous situations by his partner and was gazing at the distorting reality around him in an inappropriately irritated manner. Octavio´s questionable shenanigans had molded him into a light sleeper, so he woke up quickly and silently. Well, that, and he knew that the familiar wouldn´t hesitate to use his teeth in case he decided on an extra five minutes.

Octavio was spared an explanation for what was happening out of it being very obvious. The room they were staying in had no windows and it was hard to understand what was happening outside, though they could certainly hear it. A variety of manmade noises happening outside of the building, none of them good, and plenty of banging noises on the inside as well.

“Well, there´s only one thing to do in this case.” said Octavio quietly. Nobody else would hear him even if he shouted out his words, but the man insisted on going all the way now that they were officially in a hostile situation. He put on the more extravagant pieces of clothing he had taken off prior to sleeping and began stretching in preparation of the absolute madness that was happening outside of his room´s walls.

Both of them were observing the distortions around them, until a loud and sudden explosion went off near them. Someone in another room.

“An assassination? Was that what just happened?” remarked Octavio casually.

Lynx stopped licking his paw and held it in the air for a moment to respond with an equal amount of nonchalance. “Could it be the seed that Gin mentioned? Someone deciding they want to get rid of us before we even get a chance to stop them.” He resumed grooming himself.

“Well my dear companion,” said Octavio, hand to his chin in contemplation, “we´ll just have to bide our time until the outside calms down. And then we´ll maybe, probably, start looting!”
