Adventure Awaits...

Welcome to Talrae! In the year 2076 Talrae is the newest and most highly anticipated VRMMORPG of the century and has been highly praised from all angles to be the greatest game ever to be made. The game takes place in a vast fantasy setting with a hundred different worlds, all ready to be explored and conquered. Using a technological marvel known as WaveGear Neural Interface Systems, the dream of virtual reality has become true. Connecting directly to the neural interface of the human body, WaveGear is able to project a VR simulation so realistic that it can only be described as a miracle.

On June 17, 2076 the massive single-world server was opened and all 10,000 players logged in. You are the select few from around the world who had the luck and ability to purchase the limited opening copy of the game. However a few hours after the grand opening of the game, all players were instantaneously teleported into the center of the town on the first floor, Genesis. Suddenly in the sky the Great Demon Overlord, Malgoth, final Boss of the entire game, appeared above the massive crowd. The Final Boss then explained that all players who are currently logged in will not be able to log out. Only by reaching the 100th Floor and defeating Malgoth himself, would the players be freed from this virtual online prison. To add, the Overlord explained how the Wave Gear was designed to kill the user’s brain using a burst of microwave upon forceful disconnection from the outside world OR if one dies in-game.

This is no longer a game. This is a fight for survival. All 10,000 players must attempt to conquer the world of Talrae or forever be trapped in this virtual prison where death means the most certain end.

Despite the terrifying aspect of death, players still enjoy their life as they find new friends and purpose in the world of Talrae.

@LeeRoy

Hmm depends. RP's still in early stages, there might be potential left for new folks.

"Insolence." Anna's playful comment didn't sit too well with Baron. Although his voice was still monotone and he stood absolutely still, it was easy to tell Baron's displeasure by the change of atmosphere about him. "To even jokingly imply that we, those created from nothing, would attempt to own another as 'pet'. You forget that our eternal servitude and allegiance only belongs to the Supreme Beings." Baron walked a few steps towards Anna, as his shadows grew into sickening, elongated shapes that enveloped her. "Punishment for such heresy is..." He stopped less than a meter before Anna. "Unspeakable."
While it was true he was displeased, Anna's punishment would have to wait. Without doubt, the guild itself was in a mysterious predicament currently and Volaris' orders stood. Baron made a mental note to himself to address this issue at a more suitable time. "... nevertheless, Lord Volaris requires your service for now. We are to analyze all materials in the Akashic Records for any instances of a Guild being teleported completely to an unknown location."

Well... took longer than I had hoped but great round of posting everyone. Thanks for all staying with me in this RP... it's been a year already and wow... Just a few points regarding thingies...

- New patch note (kinda big?)
- A lot of you guys can do much more during your rotation. Especially those of you with 10+ agility, I feel like I should be seeing a few more moves in there somewhere. I mean Xenos got to fire his flintlock TWICE and I let him so.
- Xenos and Steven please indicate WHICH boar you are targeting. Like Boar 3 for instance.

And I'll make this announcement in Discord too but... in case you need a reminder...

TO CELEBRATE THE FIRST BIRTHDAY OF THIS RP AND ALL THE WONDERFUL PLAYERS YALL BEEN, GM'S GONNA FUND An ART COMMISSION WITH ALL OF YOU GUYS IN IT.

... which is why I've asked you to all PM me your charac's descriptions. Which not all of you have. =_=;

If you have them (even if you've sent them to me), just post them here. Just do it guys, it's gonna be for all of us. Nice memory to take with you even if you end up quitting the RP. Truly amazing how we managed to keep an online RP alive for a whole year (... even if we are still on Floor 1 =_=), I'm sure we all would appreciate this so.

✧DAY 12 - Dungeon, "The Savage Fields"✧

6/27/2076

Boars were tough to say the least. One of those monsters with high defense against physical attacks. The regeneration abilities from the passive Action was just the cherry on top. The Players' attacks were mighty enough, wounding the boars and lowering their HP bar. Notably the overcharged arcs of lightning jumping among all the boars and the critical hit from one of the gunners dealt heavy damages.
But the boars would not go down without a fight. However, before they got to choose their targets for retaliation, the loud and magical clang from the Paladin's clashing sword and shield put them into a trance, making them attack the offender for a single attack. However the tough target would be able to negate the worst of the damage.
After the effect of Paladin's aggro draw ended, Boars all split up looking for separate targets to attack. A couple used their Actions against their opponents while others decided to gore with their tusks or trample. One in particular, perhaps a little brighter than others, ran at full speed towards one of the Tinkers, determined to bring him down before he unleashed more firepower. However the great distance between them meant he would not reach him in time.

Summary

- Boar 3 takes 80 damage from Reylan's arrow
- Boar 3 takes 110 damage from Alisea's Shadow Raze. Boar 2 and 4 each take 60 damage.
- Boar 5 takes 60 damage from River's attack.
- Boar 3 is frightened and confused.
- Boar 5 is hit by one shot from Xenos, other one misses. Keen Eye activates, critically hitting for 220 damage.
- Boar 1 takes 140 damage from Shiba's attacks.
- Boars 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 takes 200 damage from 2 Chain Lightnings by Uchaka.
- Boar 1 takes 110 damage from Steven's shot.
- Boar 5 takes 90 damage from Chari's attacks.
- Boar 3 takes 50 damage from Totoro's attack.

- All boars attack Dirk once for total of 625 damage. Dirk takes 180 damage.
- Totoro takes 100 damage from Boar 3.
- Boar 5 Charges against Chari. Chari is stunned and takes 165 damage.
- Boar 4 Charges against Alisea. Alisea is stunned and takes 190 damage.
- Boar 2 attacks Shiba but misses.
- Boar 1 runs towards Steven but doesn't reach him.
- All Boars regenerate 20HP.

Baron bowed to his Lord in silent respect before retreating back a few steps in order to carry out his orders. He looked at Kat who had come up to him with a question. While Baron was the patient type, he had to admit that he was ever so slightly aggravated how Kat had asked him a question that had an obvious answer. But Kat was young, a mere boy compared to the others.
"Cause of current situation." Baron's comment was short and simple. Without saying more, he gestured for Kat to move closer to him. Once he had done so, he put his hand on his shoulder despite their massive height differences, a feat possible due to Baron's unnaturally long limbs. Within a split second they arrived at the Akashic Records. Baron's teleportation powers within the Cathedral was superior to all other modes of transportation; quiet, instantaneous and never missed the mark. Upon arriving in the Akashic Records he peered his surroundings, looking for Anna. He was certain she was around here somewhere, he could feel it. Baron knew the approximate location of every being in the Cathedral at all times, however he could not pin-point their locations. Contacting Anna through magical communication would have made the job much easier, however it was forbidden by Lord Volaris. That fact alone was enough to put Baron himself on alert; the Supreme Being must be anticipating trouble if he suspected that their communication was being compromised.
"Locating Anna. Proceed to draw materials out of the Records. Initiate with History of Yggdrasil, volumes 1 through 6. Find and acquire any information that indicates an entire Guild being transported to a completely new location." Without even glancing at Kat, he issued his commands to the errand boy. Baron knew the contents of those particular set of books as his creator had bestowed upon him great knowledge of the world they used to live in. And as far as he was aware, there were nothing in those pages that shined light upon their current, mysterious situation. However, Baron concluded that giving the pages a detailed look couldn't hurt.

@Lunarlord34

'Hmm... no magical communication...' Skout scratched the back of his neck, making an uncomfortable metal-on-metal sound. While that command made his job more difficult - as he was then forced to run about between the 3 parties in order to keep in communication - Skout was determined not to disobey his Lord any further, as the shame of being tardy to his summons and light chastisement still remained in his system. Skout was fast and durable, a good balance physically. His mechanical body would never tire for as long as he had fuel and he was capable of running at great speed for a long time. Part of him wished he could have access to teleportation-type spells like some of his colleagues but that thought didn't linger for long, as Skout was more than proud of being created by one of the Supreme Beings. He was sure that his creator, as wise and powerful as he was, had created Skout just the way he should be. And it would be heresy to even think otherwise.
Skout sheathed his blade and holstered his pistol. He would need them out of his hands in order to run full speed. First would be Helena in the East. While Helena didn't bother to leave Skout with her whereabouts, with his tracking skills he was convinced he would be able to find her without much trouble.

New vote on the discord, I'd vote if I were you. please vote its gonna be free
Gonna end in a day or two so.
✧DAY 12 - 1:15PM - Dungeon, "The Savage Fields"✧

6/27/2076

Just from the first look, its apparent that the "Savage Fields" dungeon layout is very different from the others you may have encountered. Before entering, you see a series of gentle rolling hills before you but after entering, you are immediately teleported into a wide and spacious, but closed off, area. You look around you, you don't see much other than a set of bushes and trees marking the edges of your current location. Perhaps a thin dirt trail that leads to what looks like a ruin of stone and wood.

As if the game decides that you've had enough time to observe and take in your surroundings, Monsters spawn near your locations. 5 in total. The Hill Boar variants you've seen very often just outside of Genesis were at least normal-ish sized animals but the Savage Boars are much bigger... and savage. They bare their tusks at you while making displeased grunts. It's clear that they are hostile.

Summary

- 5 Savage Boars appear.

✧ DAY 11 - Unknown Location - 1:00AM ✧

6/26/2076

The rustling of the leaves caused by gentle night winds was pleasant to hear. Valentine brushed his fingers across his silver hair, enjoying the sweet cooling sensations across his face. They weren't far from the city at the moment, as he could see its bright yellow lights in some distance. It was another beautiful night, the distance city lights competing with the bejeweled night sky. Behind him were 3 other figures, a Rogue, a Mage and a Swordsman.

"Shame the festival ended at midnight." Psych was the Rogue, armed with several exotic weapons and a thick shortsword. As far as Valentine could tell, he was the most "normal" one of the group, although that wasn't a fair comparision. "I like free stuff. Especially coins. There were too many sillies who decided to get drunk before they spent all their Renn." Psych had been pick-pocketing players all night, making nice profit through his Rogue Class abilities. Not that he was the type to share his wealth with rest of the group that called themselves "Destiny of Life is Death".

To be fair, Valentine didn't mind. The 4 weren't together through friendship or honor and he had a plan to kill every single one of them should he need to. And he was certain that the other 3 had similar plans of their own.

"......" The pale Swordsman silently stared at the fat bag of coins on Vincent's hips. It was impossible to tell what she was thinking, although most would be able to take a gander that it wasn't anything pleasant at any time. The pair of red, expressionless eyes coupled with a chalk-pale skin made her look... sickly. Valentine had already figured out that she was an albino. Thankfully for her, in this VR world her real-life conditions didn't apply, as she was able to walk around in full sunlight with no protections. As if to emphasize her physical appearance, she was wearing a pair of decorative bunny ears, making her look like a humanoid white rabbit. Even though Valentine wasn't quite into furries, he had to admit it was pretty cute. But her cute costume wasn't quite enough to mask her creepy, unnatural aura. The eternally blank face with a pair of soulless eyes that never seemed to blink.

"Hey hey~ Mr. ImSoEdge" Vincent called out to Valentine with a rude nickname. He let it slide, as he wasn't the type to get offended by something so trivial. "So when are we going to get more cute girls in the group~? Rain is cute and all but..." It was obvious to Valentine that Vincent would never break his eternally entertained facade, for he was the type to create his own entertainment if none existed. Vincent leaned in a little closer and pretended to whisper, although the volume was loud enough to obviously reach everyone. "I don't think she likes me." Vincent giggled as he saw the slightest little flinch from Rain in the corner of his eyes.

"Keep moving. We'll find more... to join us soon." Valentine shut down Vincent's attempt to start... something, whatever it was. He could hear a small but distinctively murderous mutter saying something along the lines of how those who doesn't like fun should be ripped. Valentine faintly smiled as he returned the hostile aura with his own. Vincent had his uses and they were cooperating... for now. But Valentine swore to himself that before the game was done he would see Vincent dead before his feet.

✧ DAY 12 - Entrance to "The Savage Fields" - 1:00PM ✧

6/27/2076

The Savage Fields, true to its name, seems like a series of gentle hills and plains, very open and spacious. The entrance to the dungeon is marked out by a holographic light display that seemed to have no physical form but is instinctively visible to all players. You can't go beyond the boundaries without first accepting to enter the dungeon. The surrounding area seems to be relatively safe, as only low level critters occupy the the area.

The march from the city took only half a day as The Savage Fields was close to Genesis City and had no real terrain obstacles. Everyone arrives without fatiguing too much, all fresh and ready for some combat.

✧ Baron ✧
✧ Skout ✧

"Allow me to add to Xagi's apologies, Lord Volaris. Baron teleported into the middle of the chamber without even a split second's worth of warning. Accompanying him was Skout, another NPC of Stauffenberg's creation. "Skout had been assessing and scouting out our recent vicinity for some time now. As he had wondered to beyond the Cathedral's perimeter, it was... difficult to locate him." Skout felt that Baron just gave him a stinging stare, although he knew this to be impossible since the steward had no eyes to speak of.
"Lord Volaris," Skout knelt immediately before the spectre, bending his knee with his head bowed in respect. "Please forgive me but... I have taken the liberty to assess our current surroundings before I was retrieved by Baron due to your summons. I shamefully beg your mercy for being tardy to your call, my lord." The steam automaton vented a small amount of vaporized water from his joints as he further bowed his head, far enough that his wide-rimmed hat had covered his face entirely. Although he could not make any expressions, Skout imagined he was blushing slightly in shame.
