Current I wonder if it would be worth my while to return to this site. I've had pretty much abysmal luck with games. Wonder if it'll be any different after a couple of years of absence...?!

Sorry for the delay... Post is up
"Phantom Two, you are cleared to land at Dock 53." A disembodied voice instructed Zarti over the radio.

"Roger." The Quarian responded. "Proceeding to landing vector for Dock 53." Keelah, but you are gorgeous! Zarti thought as the magnificence of the Citadel was displayed before her. She wished she had the time to do a complete flyby and inspect the impressive space station in every detail, but unfortunately she was pressed for time. The Phantom Guardians had been attached to the Geth-Quarian delegation, invited to take part in this centennial celebration. Ever since the Reapers were defeated and peace had been achieved between Geth and Quarian as well, Quarians had been once again invited on the Citadel. As well as their creation, the Geth. It was truely a joyous occasion!

The Phantoms were invited to take part in the delegation as a perfect example of Geth and Quarian working together to help heal old wounds and mend fences. Zarti felt a little unsettled of being forced into the limelight. The squadron was not one for taking the stage. They did their job quietly and efficiently. No muss, no fuss. And more important, no celebrity. Zarti expertly set down her fighter craft at the designated dock and quickly did her post landing checks. Once that was done she exited her ship and was greeted aboard the Citadel by a C-Sec officer who offered to escort her to where the rest of her squadron was. The young human female officer kept glancing back at Zarti and the Quarian couldn't help but chuckle within her mask. I won't be taking it off, though. She thought as she was led into a decent size room where her squad mates were waiting for her. The C-Sec officer gave her one last hopeful glance, before excusing herself and leaving.

"Keelah se'lai, Red Phantom, but she wants to share your envirosuit atmosphere." A male Quarian approached Zarti and threw a playful arm over her shoulder. “Why else would she be so curious to see you without your mask, after she’d already seen my ruggedly handsome face.”

Zarti elbowed the commander of the Phantom squadron and slipped out of his grasp.

“It is this unit’s opinion also that the organic who escorted Phantom second-in-command to our location displayed signs of physical attraction and desire to copulate.” Apollo, Phantom Leader’s Geth partner, stepped forward.

Zarti groaned. “Keelah! How have you managed to corrupt poor Apollo with your lechery I’ll never know?!?” The female Quarian exclaimed.

“Hear that, Apollo.” Lemm’Taruut, or Phantom Leader, as the squad mates called him, slapped Apollo’s metal shoulder gingerly. “Red Phantom thinks I’m corrupting you. Maybe you should partner with her for this assignment instead of me. To offset my corruption.” Lemm laughed wholeheartedly.

“It is this unit’s consideration that a partnership with Phantom Two would be greatly beneficial.” Apollo deadpanned without hesitation.

“Mauve Phantom, you wound me!” Lemm grasped his heart in feigned injury, staring mock accusingly at the mauve tinted Geth.

“It is this unit’s observation that Phantom Leader is immune to injuries of this type.” The Geth responded, launching Zarti into fits of giggles behind her mask.

“Keelah, but Apollo’s got your number, Lemm.” Zarti finally managed to say as the giggles subsided.

“Ha-ha. Very funny!” Lemm tried to look offended, but couldn’t muster the emotion. “Well, time to step into the limelight.” He clapped his hands and the Phantoms huddled up around him. Geth and Quarian alike. “Okay, team, I know we aren’t used to being center stage, but it was decided our squad would serve as the best example of Geth/Quarian unity. So they want us to mingle with Citadel security and be as visible as possible to promote trust and reassure people that the unity between Creator and creation is sound and solid and that they have nothing to fear from us.” Lemm paused to look at each Phantom. “Pair up and go out there.” He finished.

As the Phantoms paired off and left the room two by two Zarti was left alone with Lemm and Apollo.

“You can go alone, or come with the two of us.” Lemm placed a hand on Zarti’s shoulder, as the trio was exiting the room. “No one could have predicted Athena’s last minute malfunction.”

“You two go on ahead.” Zarti shook her head. “I’ll be fine on my own.”

“Very well then.” Lemm nodded and he and Apollo set off. “Well, Apollo, it would appear you are stuck with me.”

“This unit would have appreciated the chance to work with Phantom Two.” Apollo didn’t miss a beat.

“Again, Mauve Phantom!” Lemm clutched his heart.

Zarti watched the duo disappear from sight. Now then, should I let on I know she’s here, or leave her to make her move. The Phantoms' second-in-command wondered as she noticed the female C-Sec from before fidgeting nervously a few feet away.

“Forgive me.” She finally approached Zarti hesitantly. “I couldn’t help but overhear your partner is unable to perform.” She fidgeted some more, before managing to raise her gaze and look into Zarti’s mask. “I-if you don’t mind, you can join me. M-my rotation is about to start.”

Keelah, Red, take pity on the poor girl and go with her.” Lemm’s voice reached Zarti over the radio. She resisted the urge to look around for her commander. How did he know what was happening when Zarti had just watched him and Apollo disappear into the Citadel’s crowds?! Keelah se'lai, but how does he always know! Zarti wondered as she squared the young C-Sec from behind her mask.

“Your offer is most kind.” Zarti bowed her head slightly. “I accept.” She finished with a slight smile. I’m still not taking my mask off, though. She chuckled inwardly, as she followed the now blushing female officer.

Nowadays Quarians didn’t need to live inside their envirosuits like the days of old. With the help of the Geth they’d manage to solve their immunity issues and were able to exist in most environments without fear of deadly infection. Still, some Quarians, Zarti included, liked to pay a sort of homage to the olden days and wear their sealed envirosuits when not on their homeworld and among strangers.
@rivaanHa! Small world Greetings
@rivaan Well, fancy that Someone else using my homeland as a place of origin
@Andromedai Yup, we'll explore
@AndromedaiI added in the bit about Tower and Zarti's connection. It's the last two parapraphs of her history.

As Director Fury cut his speech off to put one of the survivors on the spot for flirting or something, Z's attention shifted away from him. Suddenly panicked, she swung her head left and right and as soon as she saw Niah in one of the beds her fear subsided. Oh, thank the Goddess she survived. As soon as the thought appeared in her mind Niah's eyes found hers and Z nodded and smiled in reassurance. A hug would have been better, but the Director had told them to stay in their beds. Z focused once more on what was happening around her, the burning rage from seconds ago gone. Instead she observed the room with her usual calm demeanor and didn't even flinch when agent Ridgeway took her IV out. She listened intently at Director Fury's briefing of the simulated mission they were about to embark on.

As Fitz-Simmons rolled into the room with the Framework equipment Z tried really hard not to stare at Agent Simmons. Jemma was a gorgeous woman with brains to boot as well. And Z felt a little star-struck in her presence. Not that Fitz wasn't on equal footing. Z just couldn't help but prefer the ladies! Obviously Fitz-Simmons was a monster duo in the science circles and Z looked up to their achievements and inventions, but she was a scientist first and scientists looked for answers by asking questions.

"If I may..." Z spoke to no one in particular, but made eye contact with all senior agents and the Director. She straightened a little bit in her bed, wincing slightly as the hospital gown chaffed over her sensitive pierced nipples. I should have removed them for the experiment. Z thought. But it wasn't required and it's always such a hassle to do it. She resettled more carefully, cleared her dry throat and continued. "Since I'm here in this ward with all the rest, clearly the experiment was a success and I've been given some powers or other. But..." The explosives engineer looked herself over once again, before returning her gaze to her boss and seniors. "I don't feel any different and no powers have manifested during the short time I've been awake. Before we start this mission, could we at least learn the effects of the experiment on us? So that we have some idea as to what to expect power-wise."

Z fell silent for a few beats longer to the point it almost would appear she had finished talking. But before anyone else could interject, she added. "Also, even though I'm more than confident in Agent Fitz and Mr. Stark's capabilities... This Framework concept is a bit troubling to say the least." She paused, chuckled to herself, and added after a moment of meditation. Though on second thought. After volunteering for this experiment, which was crazy enough, I don't know why I should be worried about my mind being put in an untested virtual reality that had to be recoded overnight by one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most brilliant scientists after being trashed by Quicksilver.

Z took the offered helmet in her hands and shifted her gaze from agent Ridgeway to Director Fury, to Dr. Jiāng and finally settling on Simmons, awaiting for an answer to her question from any of them. The Director looked worse for wear. I see Quicksilver didn't just do a number on the Framework. Z thought. It would appear they were in for some turbulent times ahead.
@Andromedai So she's ready. If you're not okay with something in her history, let me know as I might have done a bit of world, or rather, history building. Also, not sure if her weapons and equipment are okay.

On a side note. I figured since the Quarians are no longer spacefaring nomads. It wouldn't make much sense to continue with the vas [shipname] naming tradition. Should we make something else up?

Edit: I might add a lil something in her history. Me and @Dervish are brainstorming ideas about her and Tower
