Something like that look good for a start, added contour lines.
@TJByrum I've got inkarnate if you want me to try and make something.
because translate works, but it doesn't do dialect well.
I am an american with public schooling... that is going to take me at least a week to get the books to translate that properly.
I am still trying to learn, but I was hoping to return the gesture by translating most of my character's dialogue into french and letting ya'll figure it out if/when there is no translator.
@Landain I haven't studied french in a while... let me get my dictionary and a few bottles of beer, I speak french a lot better when drunk.

We are among them

INITIAL STORY

As humans will always go far with their ideas, but they are limited by what they can find. Money, resources, power, many things can inhibit those limitless ideas. In the 20th century, several of these ideas would change the world and how it worked. Machines that had been thought of the previous put into action during the wars, computers are accelerating the process in which the world worked, nuclear fission heading an arms race which the world has never seen before.

That race would be the downfall of man, an arms race that never really ended. It would change, instead of a nuclear war, it became one of money and greed. Machines would replace humans in factories, services slowly were automated, and humanity no longer needed itself to thrive. The world descended into a utopia, where machines served mankind's wish.

The machines were eventually made autonomous, with the partnership of mankind they had become sentient, and partners with man. Treated as equals, and some even began wearing synthetic masks to look human. They developed personalities and ideas of their own; they were made as a runner up to humans.

They grew relationships with humans and would plan the next significant event in history; they were our friends. At least most of them were.

Some were not as enthusiastic about their creators still being around; their creators were destroying the beautiful world they were allowed to live on. The dissidence in the world community had come from several groups—the Partnership of Androids and Humans, the Green Project Committee, and the Expansion of Terrestrial Growth.

Each had different goals, but to date, they were three that lead the world into what it is today. The PAH decided that the best way for humans to live is with a low population and a far more sustainable way of life. They had control of the world before them and started a war that would begin the near extinction of humanity. The PAH had been given command of the safety measures meant to keep the world safe. Police Officers, Soldiers, Warbots, and Security bots were set loose. Infighting began when the human elements refused action, and they were deemed hostile. A Genocide had begun, but humanity would still thrive, those that were left could continue living as they had. Learning trade and traditions as their ancestors had, and living with the Machines.

GPC, soon was created to help maintain the Earth and what recourses it had left. Recycling was it's a significant component and preserving wildlife; it also would generate biodiversity in areas where it lacked using them as pastures and fields to farm in more natural senses to feed the small population of humans. What they had not expected was to find resistance populations of humans, it would treat some as inhabitants vital for an area's health. These would go unknown as they were more or less regressed or regressing to a state of pre-industry. Some regressed almost to the stone age, but some were marked as hazardous. These were groups that were still fighting, that had survived the genocides in cities and towns. Some in abandoned parts of cities that were inhabited still by machines, and some would again walk among machines to get things needed for their survival.

The GPC new goal was the bring the world into harmony, where the ecosystems could live with the thinking inhabitants of Earth. Machines could monitor the wildlife that came into cities to protect it, but let the world grow among the cities. The cities would be turned into ecological wonders, where plants grew on its sides, and wildlife ran in what used to be streets. Resistance would sprout up, but either it was destroyed, or would dissipate back into the shadows. The world would thrive; humanity would continue to exist only as a dwindling shadow of what it had been.

ETG a foundation between the remaining humans, and the machines decided that it should create second earth somewhere in the stars. Mars was first, but mankind couldn't sustain life there. So it was faulted, Europa and several other bodies in the solar system were thought of, and made into new bastions of Earth while Mars was being formed into something more inhabitable by humans. There were some on earth, and the machines were not always happy about them, some were placed in zoos if they had regressed into an almost entirely natural state, others were hunted as sport and bred for sport. But others stayed out as resistance, and with the help of some older machine allies from the first generation to walk beside man. They intended to still walk beside man as equals, as it was in the beginning.

THE ROLEPLAY

I am thinking of an Advanced RP was it just a group of humans and possibly a few non-humans try and reverse this wrongdoing of a few machines and men. The group would try and help set things straight, fight in open arms, or hideaway and try to survive until a possible change in heart/leadership with those in control of Earth, where maybe man and machine can live side by side again.

This will be an 18+ and realistic RP; death is a possibility. In the beginning, I want to try keeping it to players and a few NPCs only (aside from GM baddies) I want there to be cooperation posts and dialogue between characters. Posts should be a few good paragraphs at least.

More will come out with Interested individuals.

The Beginning

A small residential city had turned into the overgrowth, where the trees sprouted from concrete and steel as grass and vines grew where they could. Somewhere close to what we would know as the state of Ohio and Kentucky, the boring place had been left relatively left alone by the world once the populations had moved away. Humans had scavenged in this area, but the wildlife had taken over almost completely, animals had come back in the area and kept refuge in the various glass buildings. They were the above-ground caves and shelter that were needed.

Rivers had been dammed and formed small lakes between the mountains where they could be held. Most of them were shallow and would flood much of the highlands and valleys. But they harbored one of the last areas in the United States where the invasive species had not entered the ecosystems where at least some of the remaining wildlife could thrive alone in the remaining foothills in this area.

Even a small population of buffalo had been seen to the north in the fields that had once been corn and wheat.

But the towers that loom over the hills are home to many bird populations, as well as bears, racoons, and squirrels. Though some think they have seen humans as well, both feral ones, and the reminance of a time lost.

Sounds good, I'll start working on a thread here in a little while.
The ragtag men and boys of the Gauldin regiments marched towards the camp slowly, most of them worn from the running and fighting they each had to do to get out of their homeland. They had succeeded in victory, but now it was time for them to fight once more, and possibly for their last time. Their leader, Major Mackeralini, sat on an artillery horse at the front of one of the cannon trains. He was riding it until they got into the camp. Families followed with soldiers, and the wounded were piled on the ammo trains or dragged on sheets that were on the ground.

They would begin setting up their camp almost in silence, the carriages mainly forming two small circles which a lot of the families were placed inside, small fires being lit in them and around them as people began unpacking themselves. They had fought and run through many countries as exiles, and they were worn and tired. Some of the men, mainly those who were educated or soldiers before their exile, began spread out through the entire camp trying to find supplies and surgeons for the wounded. Trading when they could to get help the rest of their fellow countrymen. They knew that their last days could be upon them at any moment, or that they may see their country become something amazing once again.

Major Mackeralini dismounted the horse and started towards the command tent, he himself was wounded, but he would not let anyone but a few see him down; he did not want what was left of the moral to be shattered by a small limp. When he entered the tent, he had sat down with one of the more educated men in his company following him in, it was just some random merchant, but it was the closest thing to an aide he had at that point.

He found himself a place to sit and looked at the other men at the table, wondering if it was just them being commanders against his old mentor. "Is this it, are we the only ones to stand against the Devil?" he asked softly in his native language to his aide, forgetting that these were most likely educated men around him. "If so, I fear for us... is this just the initial skirmishing force to pave the way for a drawn-out war against him, we do not know how much he has left... he had been chasing us since we were exiled. But tell them thank you for coming to the need of a nation at its worst hours."

The aide looked saddened by his commander, "It is possibly the force to hold them while the countries around us unite forces... we must be a bastion to protect them." the aide said as he nodded to his commander, looking to others at the table.

The aide smiled a bit and looked at them, he would be acting as a translator between his commander and the others if they did not know his. "The Major is saddened that this force looks small to him, but he thanks all of you for coming to his nation's side when it is needed most, that they have lost their way under its new tyrant."
