Through the Gateways: Humanity [Closed] [Soon to be Concluded]

The world was shocked, to say the least. They had believed that the ancient gates were closed to them forever. They were resolved that they were the last of the human race to exist but now seeing the gate turn on once more and reveal that their was a way back to their home roots the planet was in an uproar some wishing to stay and leave the gate alone for fear that crossing it would be a disaster, other believed that they must go back to find where they are from and if they are truly the last humans alive, other still were just wanting to go through the gate and explore in the hopes of finding a new home to explore and expand. Their own home was large but they were a small people and still haven't fully explored their own home but the idea of figuring out of their planet was unique in its ability to speak to planet itself was a concept to tempting to pass up. They believed that they must send a diplomatic ship as the first ambassadors to their home. The question was in who to send and how armed should they be, truth is they had no idea what would be behind that gate, their only knowledge about it left was that it was where they came from, it held their home system where their roots were so they must see it for themselves.

A celebration rang throughout the entire planet as they accepted their first task of sending ambassadors and explorers to see what their old home was like and if they are truly alone or not. After careful planning they had decided to send one ambassador ship along with 2 battle ships just in case the home they used to know was occupied and hostile. They would send the best of their people so they sent one of the Augury. She was one of the younger Augury and had been allowed to leave as the representative because of the fact that they looked the closest to a human she stood at 6 feet tall well above the average for a standard woman and had dark brown skin which looked closer to the color of bark but would still be able to pass for a standard human, their hair however gave it away as it was the color of emerald and looked like it was made of silk as it reached down to her back. She was known in the human language as "Zephina Wildheart" she was going to represent the governing body of their people. Her grace and beauty would shine despite her young age.

The second one meant to represent them would be their top geneticist and also the one who understood human English the most just in case they had a problem with communication. He was also a hybrid male and unlike Zephina he was more obviously a hybrid as he had Dark blue skin that looked like it was tough and stone like. He stood at a full 7 feet tall and his teeth were more akin to a maw of a predator with sharp fangs. He was bald however he had dark brown beard and yellow cat like eyes. He looked like he was able to take down a normal human in one blow and he was a scientist. Once the two had introduced themselves and had gotten on their ships they left to go and represent their people. So with Zephina and the geneticist named Richard cellbinder they left in their ships and traveled through the gate.

The First ship to go through was the Diplomatic ship that would signal the arrival of their people. As the saying goes put ones best foot forward and this was the pride of the fleet. It was truly a beauty and they could not have many of these ships as they are made from creatures native to their home planet. This one was known as a Vrok translated means star as a result their ship was the star of the fleet in every sense of the word
The other two ships to go through were the escort ships. Essentially battle cruisers ready to protect to the ambassadorial ship on its return if need be. These ships weren't as massive as the ambassadors ship but they were better armored and more maneuverable then the ambassadors ship. They were known as the sky serpents and were better equipped for battle.

As they traveled through the gate they would soon find a way towards the meeting place as it was called. They were both fascinated and bewildered as they saw the strange structures as they were organic in nature like their own technology but thankfully Richard was able to guide them away from the technology and were able to head towards where they could speak to the other humans. As they found their way towards the chamber room they took a moment to figure out how to send a speech to the other nations.

As soon as they figured it out they spoke Zephina was the one to speak in a language that was unfamiliar and was closer to the sounds of a bird singing with certain tones. However they allowed Richard to translate, in a rough translation to English he said I am sorry to say that I am unable to speak to you through my own voice as the world we come from has developed its own language to speak to its planet. My name is Zephina Wildheart and this man translating for me is known as Richard Cellbinder. I am a representative of our government which works under a council system of others like me. This man Richard is our lead scientist and head of genetic manipulation our world was hostile land and humanity was almost destroyed by it but in our history we managed to instead live in harmony with the planet. We seek to see our origin and what remained of what we all once called our home, we seek to learn and find new planets to learn and adapt to. We do not seek to dominate the galaxy or any such notions we seek to expand and see if our planet is unique or if their are other planets like our own. We would happily form bonds with you but we will also defend ourselves if attacked. We are the Mahre Collective we hope to hear that we are not alone" and with that they both gave a small bow to the screen before they walked away going towards their ship and wait for a few days in case they get contacted by another race after their most recent declaration of existence and wish of expansion through worlds that are to hostile for others to inhabit.

20% pure blood humans: these are the ones that are lucky enough to still be alive through the actions of the other demographics. Because of the weak bodies humans normally have their life span on the planet is usually 30 years at best. Unless they accept genetic manipulation they are unlikely to survive for long. However because they are still pure blood they perform menial tasks that aren't dangerous like farming in greenhouses or cleaning rooms. Most pure blood humans are considered a labor force with few going farther into politics.
75% Human/Shifol (name of planet) hybrids: The hybrids are the majority and within that majority are different mutations that mean mini classes among them. They are either soldiers, politicians, or explorers, some even find mercenary work if they prefer. The kinds of mutations are far and wide from defensive, to offensive, and some purely cosmetic. They adapted to the planet using the planets traits itself to augment their weaker human forms. The list of mutations available vary from different parts of the planet and what creatures occupy them. While they are wide and varied their are a few mutations that are prevalent in all districts. These being: Stoneskin, Bone blades, Enhanced vision, Poison resistance, and Climbing claws
5% Shifol Augury (Shifol Singers): these are the rare leaders of the planet. They gained a rare mutation with the ability to speak to the planet through the planets and its creatures. This mutation has been believed to be bestowed upon only those that have the planets interests at heart. They are essentially powerful druids that harness the power of the planet and in being able to do so are considered the leaders of the planet. While their powers are incredible on the world off world they are fairly weak and because of their connection to the planet they can never be far for long periods of time or risk death.

History: When the colony had landed it had done so with high hopes. They had the chance to settle on a lush garden world. Everyone at the time thought it would be paradise. How wrong they were, the planet ended up being a hostile enviroment. From giant beasts that towered nearly as big as the shuttle itself to small insects that were poisonous and could kill with a single bite. At the time of course we tried to clear the area but the whatever was cut down simply grew again the next week. We even went as far as to do a scorched earth policy burning and exploding anything nearby to try and cause some space to grow for our own produce and farmlands. At first it seemed to work. For the first few years we were able to plant crops. However that could never last because even then the forest adapted chameleon like predators were created and the crops mutated beyond recognition to the point that they couldn't be eaten or we would be killed once ingested. The planet seemed intent on killing them off no matter what.

However what happened next was recorded in our history books and sung about for the rest of time. A young girl was lost in the forest everyone believed she would be just another one lost to the damn planet. However she soon came back but not only did she come back she came back changed, her skin became the shade of an emerald and her skin became as tough as a carapace. When she was attacked by the guards the bullets seemed to simply bounce off of her. Before they could attack her with anything higher caliber or try to burn her she spoke in a voice that was both gentle yet commanding ordering them to stop. The world wont accept them as they are if they wish to live they need to see that humanity as it was is doomed. Their was a reason the world died because of them, instead they must tread a new path, one of harmony rather then domination. They knew that doing this was the only or they would lose humanity as a species even if they changed their memories and skills from earth helped them. Cybernetics were lost to time and now only geneticist are able to make a living. They imbued everyone with a piece of the world and it changed them somehow now thanks to the girl known as "the first flower" they were able to adapt and live up to this point.

Culture and Society: Humanity as it was is gone, cybernetics became hated among them for it was a part of the world that helped destroy earth in the first place. They live in a more tribe like fashion as they believe in the spirits of the planet helping them if they know how to ask for it. They know of different spirits and do not worship one god instead they believe in the spirits of the land one that's help with farming, to protection, to fierceness, even for fertility. Their was a spirit to imbue the people with the powers they grant. They developed a new language that allows them to speak to the beasts and human English has been lost on them except for the geneticist's the reason for this is because the human words used to genetically modify themselves are words lost on the native tongue of the land. They do not understand the concept of changing one's form from such a level as cells within the body. They have a culture similar to that of ancient tribes of earth with folk dances and winter solstice celebrations especially the celebration of the first flower which is the day that is celebrated through the entire planet as the day that they accepted changing and becoming in harmony with the world as is rather then fight it.

They are recognized as the voice of the planet and as a result they are the voice of the people. They work together and speak unpon matters of importance when necessary. Their is however a single open seat meant for "flower child" a person blessed by the planet much like the first flower. Their power is unmatched by any of the Augury however they are only born when the situation is dire, when the world itself cries out for a defender and protector. It is believed that if a flower child is born then it means that something horrible will come, they are both considered a good and ill omen. For if one is born it means that the world if it survives will thrive in unnatural prosperity.

Technology Overview: They have completely forgotten the concept of cybernetics. The ability to make one's body that of a machine is considered unholy and destined for destruction. Any machines that they have are few and are only ones that don't harm the environment. Solar and wind power are abundant and it is a veritable green world. The one technology that has thrived is genetic manipulation. They constantly study and research the planet and themselves wondering how to make their bodies even stronger then they were before. They study themselves on a molecular level in the hopes of becoming better. They have the ability to safely adapt to the world and while they haven't met another planet they are sure that if needed they could create adaptations for themselves to survive on it like if need be gills and the ability to survive on a water world just to name an example. "Adaptation over domination" is the creed of every Geneticist

Military Overview: The planet is large and still many of its depths lay unexplored so their is always something to learn and something to fight. While they are able to talk to the beasts humans are still considered a pestilence to some of the beasts that call it home. The military strength of the world is comprised of the Larange Shifol which translates to blades of the world. They are the standardized military of the world and while their aren't any wars between itself they are always fighting to protect their homes and push to make new colonies even now. The standard soldier has a few mutations that are always standard issue so to speak which is stone skin making their bodies tougher to penetrate, bone armor which is as it sounds a bone like material able to form around their bodies at will to act as unnatural armor allowing them to handle shells from high caliber weapons, and bone blades these are blades formed from their armor that extends their reach and allow them to always be armed and ready for battle able to cut through standard armor with ease and pierce through heavy armor like butter.

Their is also the royal guard known as the "Thorns of the flowers" they are the special elite units that are only dispatched when the need is dire. They are fewer in number then the blades but are much more powerful as a result. Not only do they have the aforementioned abilities of the standard guard they have increased speed, stronger health, and a mental connection to the planet. They are able to almost able to predict where the enemy will strike before they will. They are stronger in every sense and are dedicated to their post for their lives. They also have the advantage of gaining the mutations that allow them to go into a comatose sleep inside of a tree allowing them to pop up where they are least expected and be able to restore their strength regardless of injuries so long as they sleep long enough

Shiba The Hermit

Name:Shiba Akabane

Age:19

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Stands at 5'4 normally of average height. He is skinny and has little to no muscle on his body. He constantly looks like he hasn't had enough sleep as dark circles are usually under his eyes. He has ocean blue eyes and ebony black hair that reaches down to his shoulder though not many would tell as he always wears a hoodie. his body almost looks brittle and sickly without proper nourishment.

Personality:Shiba lives the life of an introvert. He rarely speaks and when he does it is only because nobody understands sign language nearby or he is without his note book. He has immense knowledge thanks to his almost obsessive compulsion to read anything he can get his hands on. He will read anything from magazines to complex physics books and everything in between. He is quick to shy away from loud places and people and acts more like a scared puppy when he is around new people or places. While his friends are few and far and between he helps with whatever knowledge he can as he feels he has no other redeeming quality.

Backstory:Shiba had been born in the slums and had been born to an unfortunate life. His father worked hard for the family and he was a good person but that was only until his mother died of cancer. She was the anchor holding the family together and luckily Shiba was born just before it took her. He was then blamed for making his mother so weak she died. His father then blamed him for her death and became a drinker. The only thing that made him feel safe was books. His mother loved to read and as such Shiba had a small library to himself. His big sister was the sweetest person he ever knew.

Soon she was the one protecting him from his fathers drunken outbursts. He was to young to understand why he was blamed and he simply believed it. Had it not been for his sister telling him otherwise he may have killed himself. Shiba was smart and his sister got a job in order to help the family however when she left his father started to abuse him. He beat Shiba more times then he could count. However he started to hide from his sister as well so not to get her wrapped up in it. That didn't always work because she was hurt like him. At the age of 16 his sister reported abused and their father was imprisoned. They were then left under the care of Dr. Sakura and friend of their mother

For a while things were looking up. However, tragedy struck when his sister died in an accident. His guardian Dr. Kugiki Sakura did everything she could using whatever medicines she could get her hands on but it simply wasn't enough. When she died Shiba kept to himself never leaving his solitude. However he was constantly sought out by people who needed help. He considered a "consultant" to many fields from medicine, to investigation, and even science and engineering. He poured over every bit of information so he simply had no courage to use the information himself.

Skills:
Living Encyclopedia: Knows a multitude of things from the mundane to absurd his time spent reading anything and everything means he has more knowledge on things then anyone else would.

Sign language: can understand sign language

Rookie Doctor: Has been trained in basic medical attention from his guardian and can perform CPR handle cuts and bruises and what to do if someone has a seizure

Abilities:
Heightened 6th sense: has a heightened 6th sense and can gain more information from enemies then others.

Overwhelming information [psychic]: can psychically bombard the opponents mind with information that renders them confused and or stunned for a random number of rounds as they try to understand the information they were given. Does not work against non sentient enemies.

Arcana: Hermit Solitude, meditation, guidance, searching.

Shadow:Shibas shadow is a smaller and less threatening kind of Shadow that is screaming loudly but nobody ever answering him. He was nothing to nobody and would remain such, as if he was worthless and had no reason to be alive in the first place. He would remind Shiba he had no worth and all his reading all the information he collected was nothing and meant nothing to anyone he ever met. His shadow is a skinnier version of himself albeit covered in scars from head to toe and only able to speak in ragged screams that nobody could ever hear. His body was simply skin and bones and scars covering him.

Persona:
The Persona actually is slightly hunched over as if an old man and instead of the knives he had a large tomb held to his left hand and opened halfway as if still reading it.

Hi I've tried making my own persona rp but obviously it didn't end well. I would be interested in joining if that's okay

Love between the eras (M looking for F, always open)

Recently I had gotten into binge watching a few anime and yashahime was one of them. I am going to be honest it isn't as good as the original but then again sequels rarely are. However it did remind me what was so good about Inuyasha in the first place, romance and fantasy battles gotta love the combination along with the mystical and excitement of slaying ancient demons to save the world. The characters constantly improving through every hardship until the final scene which I wont talk about for obvious reasons. Still it made me want to try and make an rp here. I haven't been active here lately and that's mainly because their aren't a lot of people to rp with at least from my experience their isn't. I was hoping that we could make an rp based around Inuyasha but keep in mind I only do OC I don't like having my behavior dictated by the character that is already made.

So here's the long and short of it. I am looking for someone to join me in making a 1X1 Inuyasha rp. We would be two creatures seperated by the modern and feudal eras but were inexplicably brought together by fate to save the world through our trials and tribulations romance would form and things get interesting from there.

Now if your interested in making our own adventure then here are my only rules:
Must be over 18
Must provide at least a paragraph of writing, quantity isn't as important as quality.
Must be okay with romantic and sensual scenes
Talk to me, if you don't like something let me know and we can work it out.
