I'm back... With a couple Ideas!

Hey there! I've been MIA from the site for a while (long story short: I'm a new teacher in the US), and have decided to come back to the site to get back in to my favorite hobby :) I love writing, and if you want to know more about me, my page has a few things I'm into, and a little sample of my work :D

But anyway, I'm Jones, and I have a couple ideas for a 1x1 RP:

Fallen Angels: This RP would be a crime/drama RP set in a modern-day fantasy world, if that makes any sense xD It takes place in a world where humans, “angels”, and “demons” all live together. Obviously the angels would be higher up on the social ladder, and the demons would be lower. Each “race” would have certain abilities and traits that define them, and in order to keep peace, there are police officers, and then Archangels that are peacekeepers for all of them. They’re elite detectives/crime fighters that are either loved or hated.

This story would focus on an ex archangel who “lost their wings.” They were highly regarded as the best of the best, but now he lives in infamy and is kinda in this limbo state of hitting rock bottom. When the archangel gets a lead on the man who took his wings, one of the most sinister crime lords he had ever witnessed, he needs the help from an old friend to help take the person down.

Here's a plot that I whipped up (but it absolutely can be changed!)

The Archangel Plot

They say we emerged hundreds of years ago upon the humans. Demons erupted from the earth with screams and pain, while Angels descended from the sky, bathed in light. At first there was confusion, then fighting, and slaughter, and then attempts of peace. This all happened in a span of hundreds of years. Legends and facts have been mixed into a undefined mess, and at this point it's hard to say what truly happened. That doesn't matter now, though. Angels are living in luxury, demons gets the slums, and humans are stuck in the middle of this shit. Although there is some sort of peace, the three of us are constantly fighting and bickering at each other. Politics, firefights, supernatural fights and destruction, are rampant all over the world, but none as bad as New York City. With overpopulation, immigration, and violent crime bosses, there had to be some sort of order, and the human police force couldn't do it alone.

The Archangels are elite Angel warriors that keep the peace between all races. They are highly skilled in combat, rescue services, detective duties, peace keeping, and all other sorts of stuff... It seems they have finally met their match, though. An unknown crime lord has seemingly taken over the city, making allies with powerful politicians from each side, and keeping them close. It's hidden behind the scenes so citizens can live their normal lives, but certain groups have noticed-- including the Archangels. Anyone who goes after this crime lord is attacked from all sides, with no mercy.

As a hard lead turns up on a former Archangel's door, he must get all the help he can to take down this menace once and for all.

Race Descriptions

Angels: Arrived on earth thousands of years ago on horseback from the sky. Angels live for hundreds of years like Demons, and are immune to almost every human disease. They are usually tall, muscular, and nearly perfect looking. Their hair color varies from brown, to blonde. Their eyes are normally bright, warm colors. They have the ability of sorcery, and have the ability to produce long, elegant wings that vary in color on their shoulder blades. They live either high in the clouds, or in elegant sections of human cities. The most elite Angels become Archangels to serve every race and to keep peace. Even though they don't like to admit it, Angels are prideful and are far from perfect.

Demons: They erupted in pools of fire and blood, and although they are very physical creatures, they are not always violent. Demons have two forms depending on which one they prefer. The first form is large, muscular, with horns on their heads, and their rough, armor like skin in tinted with red-like colors. The second form is almost exactly like an angel. Their complexion, and frame, and features are handsome, and perfect, and they choose their own interpretation of beauty. Their eyes are vertically slit and normally a golden yellow. They are immortal, but are very vulnerable to angelic diseases. Most demons are cruel, and cold spirited, trying to trick and cause pain to others. Most professions for demons are merchants, or servants for others, even though their pride is always hurt by the oppression.

Looking for a Female role, and maybe the two become romantically involved, or during the whole plot reconnect from a previous romantic relationship! I am absolutely willing to brainstorm :)

The Phantom Detective: This one I thought of recently and I would love to brainstorm with ideas and plot! I was essentially thinking of having a 50's themed detective noire type of RP. A washed up detective has been taking a loss in his family hard, and although his detective skills are incredible, he has lost his passion. When he picks up a case to find a lost boy, he finds out that the boy has a gift: to talk to the dead. Seeing as how the child has no living family, he takes him in and together they solve difficult detective cases that most couldn't. As their fame gains, a mysterious couple claiming to be his parents try to kidnap him and take him away. As a more sinister plot is unfolding, the Detective must do everything he can to protect the child; even if he has to go to *her* for help.

Also looking for a female role to come into play here, maybe a lost flame, or childhood sweethearts, etc. Again, willing to brainstorm and modify the plot :D

The Pianist: This is more of an abstract, Slice-of-Life Romance RP. Set in modern day, a washed out and rather famous jazz pianist has lost his job and passion after letting the fame and talent get to him. His life is completely turned upside down, however, when his sister dies unexpectedly, and left her daughter in his custody. Completely unexpected by everyone, he agrees to take her in. Soon he finds out that she is a prodigy at the piano. Amazed by her gifts, he takes her to the only person he knows that could help her with her abilities; another pianist whom he had a very intimate relationship with.

Poseidon/David

God Name: Poseidon

Mortal Name: David

Origin/God of: Greek God of the sea, storms, earthquakes, horses

Apperance: David is a little bit older, but handsome. He gives off a sense of power and authority just be looking at him. His hair and beard is thick and jet black, with speckles of gray near the temples and edges of the chin. His eyes are a deep sea green, a faint scar going across his cheekbone. His skin was tanned by the sun, and looked weathered by wind, and the sea.

God history: Poseidon

Personality: Poseidon's personality changes greatly. he can be calm, level headed, and merciful, but the next second he can be quite angry and violent. In his mortal form he is mostly the calmer, but if someone endangers him or his allies, he will not hold back. Although he's known for his anger, he more merciful than his brother Zeus, and compassionate.

Weapon(s) : Poseidon's signature Trident (Although at the start of the RP it is a rusty fishing harpoon)

Relationships/friendships: N/A for now

Other: Always seems to smell like the sea air

It's funny, isn't it? All of humanity claims that you are all nothing but myths and legends, and yet here you are; their last hope for survival. They have no idea that those myths were not made up, but in fact the things that truly shaped the way the world was... But nothing lasts forever, does it? When one civilization falls, as do their deities.

Do you know where a God goes when he dies?

They simply burn out. Everything that once made them powerful and almighty leaves them, putting them in a state of limbo. You have been here for quite some time... But now you must wake up.

Humanity is on the brink of extinction. A dark, ancient evil that has been sleeping since the beginning of time has fully awoken. He has joined forces with dark and dangerous creatures from all myths throughout the course of history for one goal: to bring the end of days. Of course mere mortals won't realize that what these creatures are. They're shrouded in magic, taking shapes and forms of things that would be easier to explain in their safe little bubble. Water spirits turn into hurricanes, ravenous helldogs are rabid wolves, Iron golems are earthquakes, you get the picture.

While the world blows these things off like weird phenomenon; the longer they do nothing, the longer They get stronger. Oh, I know you want to know who "They" are, but all in due time, Champion. As for now, I was chosen to pick the mightiest of Gods for their chance of redemption.

You will have a second chance. A chance to mold the world yet again, but be warned; it will not be an easy task. It never is. you will return to the earth as a mortal, and for your sake, our memory will be gone. I will fill your mind with the knowledge of how the world is. Fear not, your identity will return to you, and some memories even I cannot take from you; including your abilities. To hide yourself you must start off unnoticeable, because when you gain full power, it will be far too late for Them to attack. Many trials are ahead of you. You will feel love, pain, victory, defeat, and so much death... But you will prevail. You Gods always seem to.

When you awake, you must find the other Chose on this adventure. Your paths are all intertwined, so it will not be too difficult. Be wary, Champion, for your presence is strong even at this state. Creatures and people will be more than willing to kill you. Oh, and be careful on the New York subways, they truly are worse than the pits of Hades.

Go now, Hero! Take control of the world you once held in the palm of your hands!

Hello, and welcome to the reboot of a series that I loved a lot way back when! If it wasn't explained properly, this RP will be set in modern day, with an ancient and evil threat known as "Them" for now, has resurrected all of humanity's mythological creatures in hopes to destroy humanity. While mortals can't see the creatures, they definitely feel their presence, and destruction. Chosen Deities from different myths have been brought back to the world, first as mortals, to come together to defeat the forces that want to destroy who they once looked over!

Here are some rules that YOU MUST FOLLOW:

1) Please stick to one character. Technically you can have two or more if your deity is associated with someone else, but try to stay away from that.

2) Please be respectful! I don't know why I have to make this a rule but some of you guys can be rude and we aren't about that here -.- If there's any miscommunication, or there's some conflict, please try to settle it peacefully or get a GM to help out :)

3) I prefer quality over quantity, but seeing as how this is in the Casual section, please try to do at least a paragraph in your posts, it'll help people work off your actions and stuff!

4) Please don't spam the IC! There will be a lot of people in a lot of different time zones, so we have to make sure that everyone gets a chance on the action!

5) Lastly, this is a hobby! I know a lot of people get into their RP's, but unfortunately with the way the world is, my time on the site can be very limited. I apologize in advance, but if you're committed to this world, I'll be right there with you :)
