Ant

How could I be so fucking stupid. Ant had been saying that to himself all day. Sometimes even muttering it out load to himself as he was walking with no one around to hear him. Why he thought having 'just a few drinks' in the bar the night before would have done nothing but settle his nerves was idiotic. Especially seeing that Ant never really got drunk. He was too afraid of making a fool of himself and having to deal with his mistakes in the morning after.

The past few days from leaving his home in Johto and making his way to Pallet Town had gone smooth. The trains had ran on time and the directions to Pallet along with the map his mum had given him were simple enough. When he made it to the apartment he'd rented for the night, Ant had just sat on the edge of his bed debating whether it was the right idea coming here. That was the reason he'd decided to leave the apartment and ended up in a bar and convinced by a couple of girls to do some drinking games with him. Ant was too scared to say no to the offer and it was the reason how he'd forgotten to set his alarm.

"Growlithe... Growlithe... Growlitheeeee!" Was the noise what had woken up Ant. The room was spinning and the first thing Ant saw was his Growlithe hovering over him, licking and occasionally moving Ants face with his paw. "Growlitheeeee!" The angry Pokemon barked an order for him to get out of bed.

"I'm up." Ant replied weakly as he slowly moved out of bed. He hunched over the side of the bed and looked at his phone to see what the time was. Suddenly he shot out of bed. "Oh no, oh no, oh no! I should have been at the lab hours ago!" Ant pleadingly said to his Growlithe hoping that he'd have all the answers. The only reply Ant received was a judgmental look as Growlithe sat on the bed watching him. That was probably the quickest Ant had packed in his life shoving everything into his bag with no semblance of order. As soon as he had everything he sprinted off to the lab, Growlithe by his side.

It didn't take long for them to get to the lab, but every other trainer had obviously already left a long time ago. There was a few people in lab coats going about their business and it took a while for him to actually ask someone. The first person who Ant actually managed to get a hold of was the one who he'd actually set out to see, Professor Oak. He was completely different to how his Mum had described him as. The man had some really strange haircut with bits of plastic over his eyes and Ant was pretty sure the man had given him a broken iPod before one of assistants quickly took it off him and passed him an actual Pokedex whilst telling him all the information that was needed. Ant asked if the Professor was okay but he didn't really get a proper answer and was basically rushed out of the lab.

The adventure of a lifetime had begun with a hiccup and was the complete opposite of how Ant had it imagined in his head for the past few years. All he could hope for that it would be the only be a minor bump in what would be an amazing journey. Ant still knew that he'd never let himself live it down though.

Ant stood at the start of route one for a while working up his courage to actually start, taking a few deep breathes trying to calm himself. It was his Growlithe that finally made him make his first step by nudging Ants legs with his head. The first wild Pokémon he came across was a Rattata which Ant was planning on catching it but his Growlithe may have slightly burned it a little bit too much and made it faint. Ant spent a few hours to himself wondering around route 1, taking a quick nap next to a tree with Growlithe curled up on top of him, mainly to try and sleep off the hangover. He was woken up to the sound of a Pidgey squawking at him angrily on a branch above him and that was the first Pokémon Ant caught on his own. A Pokémon that decided to attack Ant himself. He had no idea the reason why it had gone for Ant, maybe it was just defending it's territory. Ant thought it was fearless and was glad to actually catch her. And that was the last Pokémon he'd see on Route 1 before arriving in Viridian City.

His belly had started to rumble for some food but he knew it was for the best if he first got Pidgey healed who was pretty hurt from the fight with Growlithe. That was the first spot he'd go to and then whilst Pidgey was healing, Growlithe and him would get food. As he walked into the Pokémon centre, Ant wondered if he'd bump into the other trainers who he was supposed to see at the Professor Oaks lab.
@role model I don't know whether you're still wanting to do this RP but I've left the end of my last post kind of vague in case you wanted to do a post.
Ethan - The mall - Ayla @Norschtalen

It didn't take them long to get out of the shop with Ayla in front leading the way with Ethan following a little further back. She doesn't fuck about, Ethan thought to himself as he watched her glide through the store. It was probably for the best anyway that she was in front because Ethan was lost and the main reason he came here was in hopes of finding any signs of a community close by. With the amount of walkers that had infested the mall, it was making Ethan less optimistic about the place. All he could hope for now was that it wasn't as completely ransacked as it looked, but he had a feeling there would be hardly anything left.

When they managed to get out of the shop Ayla went left and Ethan followed close behind. It was obvious they couldn't go right because of all the Walkers so they kept moving staying low and trying to be as quiet as possible. A few shops down Ethan had noticed a camping shop. "Ayla." Ethan whispered. "Ayla, in there." He gestured to the shop as he moved in. From the looks of the place a lot of the stuff had been robbed but not everything. Before he had a look to see if there was anything he could take, he wanted to make sure this place was actually empty, not wanting a repeat of the other shop. Ethan slowly moved further into the shop whilst trying to survey every part of the place for any potential walkers. When he got towards the back where the cash register was he noticed a door and the closer he got to it he could hear some ruffled noises coming from inside, too quiet to actually make out what it was. As he reached the door, he nodded to Ayla motioning that was going in. Grabbing the door handle, he started to twist it as quietly as he could whilst he maneuvered his other hand that was holding the hatchet so he could strike quicker. Ethan took a second before going in, he took a deep breath and crept inside.
@role model PM me if you have any ideas of which store you want us to meet you in or if you want any other ideas.
@role model you're welcome to run into my character if you wanted to?

Let me know if you want me to change anything.:)
Ethan - The mall - Ayla @Norschtalen

It didn't take them long to actually get inside of the mall and they hadn't really seen much that caught their attention on the short walk to the door, nevertheless they still kept their heads down and tried to be as quiet as possible. When they actually got to the door and crept inside the smell hit Ethan straight away, he'd never smelt anything quite as bad before, he threw up almost immediately. Hunched over, Ethan took a second to compose himself, he wiped his mouth was the back of his hand then covered his mouth and nose with his other clean hand to try and hide some of the smell. Ethan had worked very close to sewers which were awful and had to deal with the smells there, but this was a hundred times worse. "That's the worst things I've... ever smelled." Ethan whispered in an out of breath voice, despite the smell, they had no other choice but to continue with whatever Ayla had planned. So far hadn't seen any signs of people living there or close by.

This part of the mall looked like it hadn't been touched in quite some time. There was the odd decomposed body scattered around the floor, obviously this was where the smell was coming from. After a few minutes Ethan moved his hand away from his mouth after getting used to the smell, well as used to it as you could get with it anyway. Ethan had always been a little sensitive when it came to smells. He could see something that was horrible to look at but would be fine, but with smells he would never do well with them.

Ethan stayed behind Ayla whilst she had the map and some kind of a knowledge about the mall from being here before. As they continued through the mall, Ethan had pulled out his hatchet and was killing a few Walkers that were so decomposed that they couldn't even walk anymore. [i]Find some peace.[/] Ethan thought to himself after he'd pulled the hatchet from their heads. He had no clue whether there was anything left of the person it once was but he disliked the thought of him wondering aimlessly around as a walker.

Ayla pointed to where they needed to go and gestured for him to go in front. It was a women's clothing store that they was entering so there wouldn't be much there for him. He was hoping to find maybe a walking store, that had some boots, he currently was wearing some trainers that were looking a bit worse for wear and some coats that were made for colder weather in case he ever headed north. All of he had left were the clothes he was wearing and a thin hoodie that was in his car. Ethan moved through the store quickly but stayed low. There was a few Walkers dotted about the place standing motionless. It was nothing the two couldn't handle.

They moved through the store silently killing any walkers that were in their way. The escalators finally came into view when suddenly a hand lurched out and grabbed Ethan's leg. By instinct Ethan wrenched his leg away but the hand still had a hold of him. Ethan tripped backwards trying to get away from whatever had hold of him from underneath the clothes rack. He pushed himself away from where the hand was coming from with the hand still clinging on to him. As he moved back even more a walker came out with its bottom half missing. Ethan kicked it in it's face trying to not let it get close to biting his leg. Without realising Ethan had backed up too much and knocked over a mannequin that crashed into the floor making a massive bang. Ethan finally managed to grab his hatchet and chopped off the hand that was holding on to him. He jumped up straight away and stamped on the walkers head crushing it. The hand was still holding on to his leg which Ethan quickly yanked off him making a disgusted face as he did it. Straight away he realised what he'd done and looked around and saw walkers moving to them. "Up the stairs, quick." Was all that Ethan bothered to say as he headed to them trying to get as far away as possible from where the noise was made.
