The sweet time in the country did not last longer than her time in middle school, swiftly moving to New York since her mother got a very high paying nursing job there. Though they were reluctant to move because of friends and family, the family decided that it was best for them to move since they were not exactly that financially stable. It was maybe from her mother's affection and caring nature to the Benjamin children which made the move not so bad. Highschool was not much to talk about, it was your average highschool in Brooklyn, your standard 'do something stupid and you'll forever be known for it.' You know... Like any highschool. Though it was around this time where Kate had realised that she was falling for her bestfriend, but tried to shut out the feelings since she knew her bestfriend's feeling on relationships. But Kate being the person that she is, it built up inside her until she was offered a scholarship to Alexandrina Preparatory School. She knew it would kill her if she did not tell her best friend, so at the goodbye party at a resort, she ended confessing and kissing her best friend. They hadn't talked since. Well... That's ruined. That repeated in her head over and over again on her way to the Alexandrina, she was about to slap herself hard as soon as she got to the school and moved in. She was about to cry, to start being distant on people again. Why did she have to do something like that. But she knew deep inside it was for the best. Upon arrival, her bestfriend texted her, finally. She said that she was glad that she confessed, though she couldn't reciprocate her feelings, she was more than happy to remain friends. Maybe life won't be so bad after all.

It was maybe from her mother's affection and caring nature to the Benjamin children which made the move not so bad. Highschool was not much to talk about, it was your average highschool in Brooklyn, your standard 'do something stupid and you'll forever be known for it.' You know... Like any highschool. Though it was around this time where Kate had realised that she was falling for her bestfriend, but tried to shut out the feelings since she knew her bestfriend's feeling on relationships. But Kate being the person that she is, it built up inside her until she was offered a scholarship to Alexandrina Preparatory School. She knew it would kill her if she did not tell her best friend, so at the goodbye party at a resort, she ended confessing and kissing her best friend. They hadn't talked since. Well... That's ruined. That repeated in her head over and over again on her way to the Alexandrina, she was about to slap herself hard as soon as she got to the school and moved in. She was about to cry, to start being distant on people again. Why did she have to do something like that. But she knew deep inside it was for the best. This was a gift that was simply amplified to the highest by a celestial, it is because of this speed that she is revered to as an Oni. ➣➣➣ The Silver Star ; A woman known for her skill with the blade, the name "Silver Star" was given to her after she became the greatest swords-woman in the town. Her speed along with this skill made her so fast that she was given a lot of nicknames, but the Silver Star was what stuck the most. ➣➣➣ Akuma Reflex ; This is basically just heightened reflexes, but it is only amplified during combat, in everyday life, it doesn't seem to show very well. ➣➣➣ Itamae 板前 ; Airi is a really really good cook. What? You thought it was all going to be serious? Being a cook is more of a secondary thing since she is a swords-woman. Her skill with the blade, is equal to her skill with her knife. She's methodical and delicate with her cooking, which is why the food she makes tastes so good. Weaknesses ➣➣➣ She is extremely indecisive, unless it is in combat, but sometimes she ends up not taking down those that need to be taken down. Her father was a known warrior, one who was referred to as 'The blade saint.', and her mother was just a common woman with a big heart who cared for everyone. A weird dynamic of parents lead to Airi's care for everyone and skill with the blade. Such a dynamic was also shown on all of their children but not as prominent compared to Airi which is why she was chosen by a celestial to bond with. Speed had always been her strength, but it was amplified by the celestial to the point where nothing could beat it. The celestial that had bonded with her was something that she could relate with and bond easily with, it was like they were one and the same. With the stories her parents had told her and her siblings, it made celestials sound so mischievous and evil, but it was not the case for this one bonded with her, was she lied to? As she pondered in her thoughts on her way back from school, she had spotted a man on a ladder, painting the top of his store on the other side of the street, she knew this man, she bought a lot of things from this man's store. A young man came barrelling down the sidewalk in his bicycle, hitting the ladder and causing it to fall along with the man on top of it. In a flash she was stood right under the man who was falling, catching him in her arms but falling down as soon as she did since she could not handle the force of the fall as well as she thought, that's her poor judgement for you. This caused her arms to bruise but the man and Airi exchanged thanks since she was able to soften his fall. She came home with a lot of thank you gifts from his store that day to bring home to her mother. When the dark mage came, it was like the world plunged into darkness, her father and brothers who also trained under her rather prepared for battle. Airi was tasked to protect her mother, but the celestial had told her, in order to save the world, it was her that had to fight. It was there, Airi gripped her blade which was on her waste and turned to her mother, she told her mother everything and was told her that she was willing to risk her life as well. Her mother was proud of her but was scared for at the same time, it was also there where her small horns sprouted from her head, and her mother was surprised but this lead to her letting Airi to go fight, with her last words to Airi being "Go my oni, be our saviour." Airi then left, heading straight for the dark mage with no expectation to live. After waking up. When Airi awoke, she was greeted by the different room and a burning headache. Her body was sore and her sword leaned on the foot of the bed, it looked like it was in bad condition so it looked like it won't be of much use until she gets it repaired. The first thing she did was look at the mirror to see if something in her face was missing, but it would that something was added instead of missing. Her horns had grown much larger, but something was missing, and that was her the most of her memories. She only remembered the voice of her mother and her skill with her blade that was pretty much it. After awhile, she got her blade fixed and a job as a cook, and a part time job as a sword instructor. She has also realised her powers of speed had grown exponentially, to the point where she could tidy up her room in mere a blink of an eye. She knows very little at this point, she doesn't even if know that her family is no longer alive, nor do they even exist, but her name and her skills should be enough for her for now. She hopes to figure everything out soon.
