Ezekiel smiled merrily at his aunt and nodded a thanks to Kristin when she brought their food over. He ate a bit and took a sip of his drink while Leda filled Artemis in a little bit. He choked on his drink when Leda called Apollo a lord. Good gods, could Leda be any more of a teachers pet. "Gods don't call him that. We don't need to inflate his ego anymore." He resumed his eating happily, thankful for a hot meal.
"We've had to fight a few different monsters now and we know of a starting point to look for Calliope but its possible Marsyas has moved her or will move her before we find them," he briefly explained. Ezekiel glanced around Artemis and pouted a little because he couldn't see her bow and set of arrows. As it was his weapon of choice, he would have liked to see hers and talk shop sort to speak but Ezekiel supposed they didn't have time for that sort of thing but then again, when would the time ever arise again. It wasn't like the Gods showed up when you wanted them to.

Ezekiel smirked and chuckled, shaking his head. "I mean, there's an aspect of us knowing we'll get the job done when it matters but your sarcasm is correctly placed Janelle. And for your information Kristin, I am a lovely gnat. The best one out there," he said before the bus driver announced it may be awhile. "Unfortunately Janelle, this will be no All-America family road trip. There will be plenty more mysterious stops and detours we will have to survive. And I do mean that in the literal sense." He liked Janelle, he wanted her to be as prepared as she could be and to succeed. If only to shove it in the others faces that she could do well and was brave and that Ezekiel could keep them safe.

Ezekiel watched Kristin leave the bus and stood, sliding the sun pendant back into his pocket while he grabbed his pack. He brushed Janelle's upper arm with his hand so she knew where he was and if she wanted to grab his elbow again. "We shouldn't leave her alone out there. I'm going to go stand at the bottom of the steps if you want to follow," he said. He headed down the small walk way and onto the bottom step. "What's the verdict," he asked Kristin. He looked out at the landscape around them, trying to see if he could notice anyone or anything watching them or getting ready to attack them. "Well, there's something or someone out there alright. I just can't get a sense of where," he noted. "Come out, come out wherever you are," he taunted. It probably wasn't the best play but Ezekiel didn't want to play games.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Driving -- Wichita, Kansas

"Well, I seriously hope he doesn't look like the men who have portrayed Robin Hood. I may have liked the idea of him being our father when we were younger but as I got older... I mean come on, he is hot. So, I really hope he's old... With a white beard and stuff," Cassiopeia confessed. Robin Hood had all the elements for her and she didn't necessarily have daddy issues but, she never had decent parents while growing up. She didn't think it strange at all that she dreamed about what would it be like to have him as a father and then that changed as she grew and those movies came out, making him look more than just Disney's portrayal of a fox. Of course, now that she was told he was her father, it was incredibly weird. So, Cassiopeia was going to try hard not to think about it.

"What are we going to say to him? Do we only get to ask one question? That's what I want to know." Would they have to go into battle right away or would they have time to get to know their parents. Was their mom alive, was she Maid Marion? Hopefully, they would get some answers Cassiopeia hope as she drove to the warehouse.

Willow Jones

Location: Warehouse
Skills:

"I'm a little all over the place," Willow told her friend. She looked away from the little arrow on the GPS and watched the only world she had known pass outside her window. "I'm excited at the prospect of meeting my biological parents and seeing if all these dreams I keep having are really them but then I think how much I love my parents. Well, my adoptive parents and then I feel guilty. It's just a little overwhelming," she said. There was so much change happening in a short amount of time and Willow was just keeping up best she could without completely breaking down.

They pulled up to the warehouse and Willow saw a couple people outside. She got out of the vehicle slowly, glancing at Annie before walking over. "Hi, my name is Willow... Do you know if a guy named Merlin is inside?" The woman with the pixie haircut looked friendly enough but you could never be too careful.

Ezekiel bowed his head to Kristin. "I live to serve," he said, winking at the demi-god. They shuffled out of the car and into the Wendy's. Ezekiel shouldered his pack and stretched while they waited in line before he ordered a double baconater, large fries, a frostie and an iced peach tea. He had a habit of dipping his fries into the chocolate ice cream and it was superb. He glanced over at Leda, watching her face shift as he had to order after her and so saw her face change into awe and was slightly confused until he watched her walk over to a woman and call her Artemis.
Ezekiel grabbed the receipt with his and Kristin's order number on it before he followed suit and pulled up a chair, sitting down and smiled at Artemis. While Leda was all star struck, Ezekiel took the friendly approach since she was his father's twin sister. "Hey Auntie, what brings you to the great Georgia peach?" For the last few months Ezekiel had been working on a couple tattoo ideas in respect to his father and his mother. Apollo's sun and a moon, which was also a symbol for Artemis, so really, he would be representing her as well once he got these tattoos.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Old Mutant Underground HQ -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy

”Ah, Tome. Yes, I suppose any other name than the one that defines a place to hold and confine the dead would be better wouldn’t it,” Luna noted. The others seemed to latch onto Max’s words and give him what for, shutting him down and explaining their insecurities and fears. Luna stood back and scanned the area around them while they had their little sharing circle and reached out telepathically, looking for anyone else behind the numbers she could see standing with her. She shifted and glanced over at Veil when she got a clear reading. ”No one else is in the area, aside from us,” she relayed.
”And Max, one more thing love. You knocked me out remember? So please do forgive if I don’t have the courtesy of asking your permission to search your mind first, which is counterproductive to someone playing on the other side. If you wanted to play spy, you should have told us in the first place. If you also remember, I tried to be there for you when you made a mistake but instead you left.” Was there a portion of Luna feeling hurt by Max leaving, yes. She had tried to befriend him, something Luna does not come by honestly. She didn’t open easily, only her family and those incredibly close to her knew a different, softer side to Luna. Other than that, it was careful eyes and shut off body language.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground HQ -- Training Room -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Empathy

The high five made Cayden’s hand tingle from the force Ben applied but Cayden could see the pure joy on Ben’s face and grinned right back at the ghost, pleased that there was some joy in the room but there was also struggle and anger. The struggle was plain on Casper’s face, everyone could see it and Cayden shifted. ”Is there anything I can do to help? My grandmother used to also talk about the power of a person’s aura, would that help you with Ben?” Cayden would like Ben to stick around a little while longer but he also didn’t want Casper straining himself just for their pleasure and the knowledge they wanted.
There was another loud outburst and Cayden looked over at Sunshine, hearing her words before watching her blow green at Casper and he started to sneeze. Cayden didn’t think Sunshine would do any serious damage to Casper but Sunshine didn’t seem to have a clear head. Her anger at the situation and them was clouding her judgement and Cayden knew that anger was the symptom, not the reason. He rested a hand on Casper’s shoulder, knowing he shouldn’t jump on trying to help Sunshine when there were two others focused on her right now.

Ezekiel shifted out his money but Leda paid the naiad already so he returned the coin to his bag. He looked at the cyclopes baby one last time before nodding to the naiad and said a quick thanks and hurried back to the car before she could change her mind. He grabbed his pack from the picnic table before getting into the car, shoving more junk out of his way and buckled in before Leda drove off. His stomach continued to grumble at the mention of food and then the smell of food.
"So, could one of you ladies spot me for food? I can pay you back at camp or something," he said. He reckoned they would have to feed him something. Hangry was a real thing and it was no different for demi-gods. Ezekiel was going to have to get a job or find some other way to get US dollars as he usually only ever had drachma on him these days. He didn't exactly want to go to his mother asking for money. She had done enough for him and he was trying his best to look after her and make sure she didn't have to go back to stripping and work more than two jobs.

Ezekiel's eyes widened and his nostrils flared from the sharp pain from his hair being tugged. It was a weird sort of pain that traveled down his spine. He looked over at the kid. "Really not okay dude," Ezekiel said. When the naiad agreed to take the baby, Ezekiel sighed and set the kid down where she indicated. "Do you use dracma," he asked her curiously. Other than that, he didn't have anything to give her for compensation.
Ezekiel took a step back as they waited for the naiad to do her thing and his mind drifted to the comedy club and the deadline they were on. This was taking time away but this was also an opportunity to better prepare and maybe have another vision while they got a couple hours of sleep. Every little bit of information they could get at this point would help them and Ezekiel had to keep reminding himself that so he wouldn't grow impatient and rage.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Old Mutant Underground HQ -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy

The van ride was a quick one but gave Luna time to tap into her telepathy and bring one of her strengths to the forefront. She felt a bit on edge, almost like electricity herself but it was a comfort that brought her strength all the same. She climbed out of the van and looked over at Max, smirking at the boy with amusement and interest. She eyed his gifts to the Underground and started to tap into her telepathy. ”Since when did the Underground want handouts Max? Or is this a simple, I fucked up apology gift?” She glanced at Veil going over to the unknown addition, who seemed to be a twin but if Veil knew and trusted them enough to go right up to him than that must be her long lost brother. So, Luna would let her have that moment and focus on Max.
Luna was also intrigued with how Max was able to conjure all of it up. What did he learn at the Hellfire club. He didn’t look like he was high on those drugs Magik and Vulcan were on but they could have made a different serum, which would have made destroying the lab useless if they had managed to do that. Luna walked closer to Max, cocking her head to the side as she tried to get into his mind but it was like hitting a brick wall everytime. Luna stayed pressed up against his brick wall, slinking around like a snake, looking for any weak spot while she spoke. ”What’s wrong Max, or should I call you Tome, something you don’t want me to see?” She was grateful for Spark Plug leveling the playing field a little and if all else failed, Luna could knock Max out physically to get into his head.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Cayden’s jaw dropped when he heard a new voice and saw Ben. ”Ben! Man, have I been dying to meet you,” Cayden said and hurried over to the new addition. ”Wait, that was a horrible choice of words but seriously. High five?” Cayden held up his hand eagerly, the tension from earlier seeming to leave him as the away team had left and Ben showed up. Cayden was a bit surprised with Ben. His size and height wasn’t strange, no the colour of his hair and race but for some reason Cayden had someone a little more outlaw in his mind. Like a pirate. But a ghost friend was still pretty epic and he was hoping Ben would stick around for a little bit.
Sunshine spoke up quickly and Cayden winced a bit looking at her. He could feel for the girl and was certainly sorry she had lost him. ”I am not certain that would be, okay. Casper may have the ability but the consequences of playing with the dead and Ben… He isn’t really back, we can just see him now.” He didn’t want to offend the girl but he didn’t want to lie to her either. After all, Cayden didn’t understand the full ability of Casper’s power, that wasn’t what they liked to talk about.

”You’re still a five-year-old,” Ezekiel declared when Kristin refused to respect his wishes and not call him something else. Honestly, he told her to call him shithead and she still wouldn’t budge. Ezekiel focused on Janelle for a moment and smiled a little more. He could understand the need to prove others wrong and that one was worth something more than just their weaknesses. The more she spoke, the easier he was at understanding her but there were still a few words he would get caught up on because of her accent.
The bus started to shake as it started to slow and pulled over onto the side of the highway. Ezekiel shifted and looked around them, his hand pulling out the sun pendant that he kept in his pocket. ”Seriously hate this part of quests,” Ezekiel said. He wouldn’t mind killer horses again but he wasn’t sure he wanted another Manticore or anything with poison. Ezekiel tried looking out the window to see if there was anything lurking out there. They hadn’t been out of the city for very long it seemed, so stopping this early could not be good in any circumstance.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Apartment -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Cassiopeia smiled at her sister. ”Why didn’t you just do that earlier. No, you had to make me suffer,” she teased her sister. Cassiopeia turned back to her room and finished packing up some of her clothes. She grabbed warmer clothes and clothes that allowed her to dress down but still layer up. She made sure to bring along some rain gear as well before she packed up a few sentimental things. Photos, a phone charger just encase this place did have power and her kit for making more arrows.
Once packed up, Cassiopeia walked out of her room and gave another look around the apartment before she sighed and gathered her cat carrier. Hopefully they would be back. She did like it here and it was home for her and her sister. She packed everything into the Jeep, putting her cat in the back seat with Fuzzy so they weren’t jammed in the very back with everything else. Cassiopeia climbed into the driver's seat and looked over at her sister. ”Well, here we go I guess.” She drove away from the apartment building and towards the warehouse.

Willow Jones

Location: Willow’s House
Skills:

Willow gathered up the dishes and pulled on a jacket before she followed Annie. ”Thanks for offering to drive and to come with me.” She was nervous to go and wasn’t sure what going would mean for her or for the people who invited her to come and sent her the letter in the first place but Willow needed to go. She brought the dishes downstairs and set them down on a table in the hallway.
”Bye mom! Annie and I are going out. I’ll be back later!” She called down the hallway before exiting the house with Annie and got into the passenger side of her friends car. ”Yes, it’s on the card here,” Willow told Annie and typed the address into the GPS. After that was done, she texted Sierra and told her that she and Annie were going to the warehouse.
