I'll see about that. If a collarb is needed we probably can do it over the weekend. I'm unlikely to have time for it before then.

Nice take, thank you. That's a helpful perspective.

The main thing with Myths as far as I can tell is that they need to be fundamental and have pretty much worldwide influence, which was where my mind went with that. Santa basically somehow already has half the equation, which is a little mind boggling to think about, considering his tale only has about 200 years under its belt.

But yeah, in terms of an actual story and the longevity of his myth's existence, there's no way if could actually fully capitalize on that fame. It's the sort of story with shaky foundations that somehow managed to get absurd amounts of influence for what it was, which is where it the whole "Legend" bit comes in, since it's definitely not weak enough to be just a Fable.

The main issue, of course, is actually just finding the right piece of literature that has the most "base" influence on the existence that is Santa Claus.

Legend is probably the most accurate way to place Santa's tale. While it might be pretty well known, it isn't established enough, especially considering that Santa was we know is a weird composite character that only took its modern shape to fulfill consumerist ideals. in the last century or so when Christmas veered off from being about religion and just became that time of the year to spend money on presents "just because".

THE GRAND MINISTER

In a place far, far away from the commotion bred by the clash between the defenders of the light and their mortal nemesis, a certain silver-haired magician had just finished brewing a cup of tea for herself.

"I gotta say, I one-upped myself this time. This must be the best tea I had in a long while," Lilian said as she walked to an old reading chair. She left the cup on a nearby table, beside a tray of sweets and—after perusing the shelves that packed the walls around her—picked an ominous-looking book.

Before she went back to her chair, Lilian took a long look at the night sky outside the stained glass windows of the old chapel that served as the Grand Ministry's Hall, almost as if she were trying to peer off into the distance separating her from her beloved magical girls.

"Percival and the Quest for the Holy Grail, huh? Very interesting. Very interesting indeed," She said to herself in a curious tone.

Meanwhile, the battle at the construction site raged on. The magical girls and the thralls of darkness clashed against one another in a desperate effort to rid the world of each other.

That said, some of the Pageless cared more to find ways to feast on the civilians, ignoring the threats of magical girls defending them and rushing at their prey with wild abandon.

If fighting against what seemed like an endless tide of darkness crashing upon them wasn't hard enough, the magical girls also had to deal with the Pageless that seemed to flee the battle and converged upon a helpless girl that had been forsaken by the goddess of luck.

With every moment that passed, the number of Pageless drawn to Nessie grew. Would help come in time or would her story end before it even began?

@The World

Actually, I think the first one is much simpler and better. Just wait for @TheWendil's opinion on either.
@KoL
That's what I assumed, but wanted to make sure. Which leads to the question of the actual idea I have. Would a story about Muramasa, specifically one about the swords he made being cursed and such, lend itself to a greater Legend Rank by being a generalized "Cursed Sword"/"Cursed Weapon" story, since those exist pretty much everywhere that ever used weapons, or would it be a Fable due to being just the story(s) of Muramasa?

I'll probably go with it regardless because I like the stories, but I'm re-familiarizing myself with them to find good details to weave into the grimoire, and wondered if I could branch out to other similar stories from other cultures.

Probably not. Muramasa is pretty much known only to either people familiar with Japanese history, or weebs/otaku. and in itself is a weak legend as far as stories go. Cursed/Demonic swords are just a concept, that would be way too broad to give an additional boost to any specific legend. That would be similar to a grimoire about a completely unrelated holy sword becoming more powerful by piggybacking on Excalibur's fame.

Alright, then I've got a couple of questions if that's okay. They're both theoretical to help me understand something about the Ranks.
If there was a specific story of Gaia, would it only be a fable because not a lot of people know of that particular story, or would it be conflated with other stories involving a "mother earth" and therefor become legend or myth because nearly everyone knows at least one version of it?
Similarly, Cain and Able. Would they be fable because not a ton of people know the story or would it get boosted by being part of the bible that tons of people know at least part of?
I basically am just wondering where the line between a specific story being its own grimoire and a story being just part of a larger story is at.

To answer the specific questions, first, most probable Myth and Legend (maybe even myth, depending on the angle).

Now, about the point where a single story is worthy of being a grimoire in itself or being part of a larger legend. It really depends on the story.

Taking Merlin as an example. Most characters in the Arthurian Mythos/Matter of Britain actually HAVE solo stories of their own, but they receive an appreciable boost in popularity by being associated with what's perhaps the most popular body of European fiction to be created after the Greek classics.

The same would apply for most other stories. It's a matter of discretion, mostly.
@Ponn

Since your character is fine on my side as well, I won't argue about her going to the CS tab before all approvals have been given. Anyway, you can carry on as everyone else.
@McFazzer
Fine

@Lonewolf685
Luna: "Have I seen you somewhere before?"
Anyway, fine too.
@BrokenPromise

Your character is fine on my end. You can move her to the CS tab as soon as possible.
