binx progression throughout the interaction

Binx couldn't keep her eyes off the gorgeous siblings that had shouted dibs. Not because they're gorgeous - OK not just 'cause they're gorgeous, 'cause they total are - but just their energy and them feeding off one another made her laugh. Like a genuine laugh, something she thoroughly enjoyed doing and hadn't in awhile. She wasn't gonna lie, when she read between the lines and finally understood their little meanings behind the dibs - she was extremely flattered. Beyond so. So when the male counterpart of the pair quickly changed his answer after having someone else literally fall into his life - who Binx came to realize was Michiru - she was rubbed the wrong way. 'Psht. Fucking men.'

However, as Charlotte introduced the two of them, Binx really couldn't help but admire the beauty. Like, dumbstruck. And when the words left her mouth that she actually meant her dibs sent a shiver of excitement through her body.

This was going to be one interesting set of living arrangements.

Clearing her throat and moving to stand up, Binx realized the size difference between her and the siblings - 'Oh yeah, babe's got it all' Binx' mouth went dry and so she had to mentally shake her head to get back into her normal, kickass and charming self if she wanted to make an even better impression on her. Licking her lips she went for it, "I'm not the HulkStan62; but I am a fan. Name's Binx, and I would love to see what other games you're into~"

As soon as the words left her lips she wanted to blow herself up and outta there. Would the cosmos swallow her whole if she begged it to? Ugh. No amount of 'Southern Charm' was gonna save her from her fucking lame-ass, cringe worthy pickup line. Binx could only hold her breath as she waited to see how she reacted to it. And she prayed that it wasn't negative.

The early hours of the morning of the first day of school found Hidomi Toga running around the streets, backpack slung about her shoulders, key chains and other bobbles swinging precariously from the zippers, headphones secured snugly as the fast, upbeat noise assaulted her ears in the best way possible. Toga couldn't stop herself from dancing and singing along to the song as she continued her trek to nowhere. Along the way stealing a candy bar - or two - from a nearby kiosk, flashing a charming smile to the handsome man still setting up shop.

The sun was already poking it's rays across the city by the time she eventually made it to the front gate of Meadow Ridge. Sighing as she took the last bite of her candy, she crumbled the wrapper and tossed it into the nearest trash bin, before lowering the volume on her phone and turning the music off completely. It was such a stark contrast once the music was removed from her ears. The world stirring around her; finally making noises. She didn't mind the silence that the world would offer up in it's darkest moments - but she would be remiss to say she enjoyed the silence. The opposite was too true. She needed the loud and the annoying that would normally offend most others. It gave her something to look forward to. And Toga was anything but an idle person.

Stretching, with both arms out stretched, fingers interlaced with one another, back and arms popping she sighed in content and settled into herself as she strode through the opened gate, where a few early birds were busy bustling about. "Hmmm~" she hummed to herself as she examined the warm bodies around her. She would have to double down and fully admire them later as she continued on her way past the booths and tables being set up and found herself entering the front office, where she was to speak with an adviser about her scheduling and what to expect as a new student.

- - - - -

In the time it took to actually get in touch with the adviser and go over all the useless information - seriously? How would it be different than any other educational institute, but go off? - Toga ended up missing out on the welcoming assembly. "Wouldn't that have been a much better use of my time than sitting in a damned, stuffy room?" she complained as she unbuttoned the top few buttons of her uniform blouse, fanning herself, leaving her loose tie alone for now. The stares she gained from the simple action didn't go unnoticed. In fact, she made more of a show of her motions in order to get a feel for who exactly was paying attention.

She ended up stretching one more time before deciding to move on to the booths that lined the halls, mingling with people and eventually, hopefully, meeting up with someone who shared... similar interests~ Toga couldn't help but squeal in delight and anticipation, "This is gonna be sooo much fun~!"

Izumi was up with the sun. An old habit that would never end up dying on the hill she took her stand on. It was too ingrained in her psyche and she honestly didn't mind it that much now that she was older. Stretching her limbs after she was dressed, the eldest Niijima girl made her way down the elegant iron and marble staircase to the large dining hall, taking a seat at the head of the table and calling for someone to bring her her morning tea and breakfast.

While she sat there eating her morning delicacies, she was scrolling through her phone, the sunlight streaming in from the large bay windows around her. And if she listened carefully, she could hear her twin punching something outside. Izumi rolled her eyes, "Typical Kashi~," before taking another sip of the porcelain cup.

The morning passed by without so much as a thread out of place. All of her supplies and necessities that would be her life source for the next semester or so were already packed and being loaded into the black car waiting at the front door of her family's large home. Turning to one of the maids bustling about on the first floor, Izumi called to her, "Make sure my dear sister is awake at a decent enough hour to make it to school on time," then she began to dig around in her own bag, speaking more to herself than the maid that was still standing near the Niijima girl, "Especially since it's her first year..." Noticing the maid hadn't moved from her spot she rounded on her with a tone that was less than inviting, "Well? What are you still doing standing here? Go wake her up."

Izumi rolled her eyes as the poor woman bowed lowly before scurrying up the stairs, disappearing into one of the many rooms to complete her assigned task. Shaking her head, Zuzu headed for the car. She had waited long enough for her other siblings to ride with her and she was ready to leave. Did they not realize the responsibilities she held this year? They could honestly be so self absorbent.

- - - - -

The ride was a short one, or at least that's what she told herself. It was no surprise to anyone that knew Izumi that she despised car rides - long or short. Rather, any sort of traveling that didn't have some sort of air blowing on her at all times. Motion sickness was the devil. And she just happened to be one of it's victims.

Once she was able to plant both feet on the concrete, sucking in the natural air around her she was immediately feeling better. Straightening out her uniform and giving the orders for them to bring her items to her dorm room, Izumi began her trek to the front office. She was able to skip the assembly in favor of helping the other teachers and upperclassmen set up their club booths. Being the overachiever that she was, Izumi had been coordinating with everyone to get the flyers and sign up sheets prepped and ready to go since the middle of the break. She took it very seriously, and the upperclassmen definitely appreciated the help.

As she was busy scurrying around she couldn't help but get distracted by the noise of some of the late arrivals. Glancing at her watch she rolled her eyes, blowing a strand of hair out of her face, the assembly was practically over at this point! 'Ughh.'

It didn't take long for the halls to fill with the sounds of students, new and old alike, to be chatting it up with one another. Getting the feel of the lay of the land as it were. Getting to know one another as they would all be living with each other for the next couple of months. The halls became extremely crowded and although it normally wouldn't bother the eldest Niijima girl, this time it did. She was carrying armful of supplies to be distributed to the different booths and tables. It didn't help that a lot of the items disrupted her sight, on top of the paths being crowded and cramped, with people pushing up on one another. It was all too much.

It really didn't help her mood when she ran smack into someone sturdy, causing her to fall backwards on her ass, supplies littering the ground around her. Growling she barked up at the person, or object, that caused this mess. Cause honestly, she could have run head first into a fucking pole they were so sturdy. She wasn't even going to comment on how the entire process of falling over on her ass was entirely her fault. "Ouch! Watch where you're going." Izumi rubbed her head with a free hand as she continued to sit there on the ground like an idiot, waiting for the world to stop spinning. When her vision finally came to, she was able to take in the sight of the person she ran into - but totally wasn't taking the blame for.

Sitting there listening to Henderson drone on - which to be honest, his speeches were never the worst, but that oxy was really taking effect and if he wasn't gonna be loopy, he was definitely going to fall down the drowsy route. Pulling out his phone he began to surf insta, snap, twitter and reddit - his normal go-tos; and since he was at it, might as well post a little something something for his "followers". He had to laugh out loud at that thought, as if he had some kind of following. It was mainly the Knights and the Saints. Of course with the few exceptions here and there.

"Ffffffuck..." he grumbled as he stood up, stretching his long ass limbs as everyone began exiting the auditorium, heading to their designated classes. Kicking off the new year as dutiful cows to slaughter. He shook his head, taking inventory of his choices for the day.

"It's not like shit is gonna get done today..." he tried to reason with himself as to whether or not he was going to skip or join in on the rest of his fellow inmates. "However, I'm probably gonna crash soon and I didn't bring the mom-mobile to pass out in..."

Regardless of the options he was weighing under his breath, his feet moved of their own accord and dragged him to his first class, English. It was filling up quite quickly, despite others loitering in the halls, waiting until the last minute before dashing to their classes once the warning bell would sound. Instead of heading in the room, he waited outside the door, just leaning against the wall. He took notice of his friends and their interactions. People watching was one of the best things to do while in high school, might as well utilize the close proximity.

Daze looked to be in a huff about something, Jules didn't seem like she was in a much better mood. 'Probably something to do with one another,' he thought with a sigh. Ah, the joys of siblings. As he thought more about it, he shook himself clear of idle watching everyone so that he could duck into his homeroom in order to avoid catching his brother's gaze and having him pester him about his shiner.

As he made it into the room, he took to the back of the class, squeezing into those tiny contraptions of fake wood and metal - this shit was gonna totally fuck with his growth - if he had anymore to grow. Waiting for the rest of the class to arrive, and the teacher too for that matter, Lance took to laying his head down on his crossed arms that rested on the desk top. He had a feeling that the day was going to drag on, in the worst way possible.

Mentions of Sam, Rich, Artie, Jordan, Jules, Joey

Daze was, for a lack of a better word, in a daze during the entirety of the useless assembly. Simmering with the knowledge that everyone else was being placed on the back burner, yet again, in favor of the football team. Which, let's face it, good looking men - not the most skilled. At least she was sitting with her friends and fellow Round Table members, otherwise she would have thrown a right old fit there in the bleachers. Most definitely embarrassing her twin in the process. 'Not a bad idea though...'

As the assembly of RoseHell High came to an end and others were shuffling around, Sam and Rich began delving into conversations; expecting her to chime in with her opinions. "I mean, yrah, I think it's fucking lame that the arts program is getting fucked while football reigns supreme - sorry Artie," she turned around behind her on the bleachers to place a hand on his knee, "But Red here isn't wrong about the home ec stuff either... some people clearly need it," Daze was not shy in hiding her pointed glares at the school's resident little rat as he walked by chatting it up with his potential victims friends.

Daze shot Sam a look that spoke volumes when Artie started talking about making get togethers a weekly thing; mainly because he mentioned a game night, all in the hopes of keeping it "tight". Daze couldn't help but smirk and shake her head. Daze wanted nothing more than to kick it with the most important people in her life and they did, over the summer. It was definitely going to be a little harder now that the school year was kicking off. Especially with all these new mandatory classes and sports teams demanding everyone's attention.

"What the fuck did I do?!" Daze responded incredulously at her sister's accusation. "Wha? Psht OK. So it was one, two - OK a few times," she caved under her twin's gaze, "Where you wanted to go home and I kept you out longer. But you were royally compensated with forcing me to endure awful, awful Disney sugary concoctions every 10 fucking minutes when we went." The pain in her face and tone should have spoke volumes to those around them. It was an awful time - but maybe not as bad as Daze made it out to be. Yes, they had a blast, but Jules did pay her back by requiring them to try all the desserts they could at every shop from every park. To say it made her sick was an understatement.

Daze swore off sweet for 3 months after that!

When their fearless Red Knight of a leader mentioned Joey, whatever sickness in Daisie's stomach vanished and was replaced by something a little different. "He's not weird," it was like her mouth was working on autopilot at this point, "Just, different s'all." She trailed off, grabbing her shit and started walking down the bleachers and out towards the hall of lockers, desperately trying to get outta the situation of talking about her ex.

"How 'bout those schedules, hmm? Cause I'm with Rich - if I don't have classes with you fuckers, I riot."

happy 2020 y'all

Mornings always started with a run. It wasn't a question of if he wanted to or not. He didn't get that luxury. Not if he wanted to be the best and make it to the Olympics. Rin wouldn't stop until his goal was reached and in order to get there he needed to run. Building up hiss lung capacity, strengthening his legs and calves, flexing hiss core - all necessary on land as it is in the water. Rin made sure to streamline his body in every way possible. There are no shortcuts for him.

He returned back to his home after an hour of running around in the early morning darkness. He showered and changed before making himself some breakfast. Something small - bacon, sausage, eggs, toast lathered in butter and jelly and of course a glass of milk. In record time he had inhaled his breakfast and was soon biding his sister and mother a 'goodbye' and heading off to catch the train bound for Meadow Ridge.

While aboard he noticed a lot of the other passengers were also Meadow students, new and old alike. Rin couldn't keep his grin to himself as he scanned the car of all the people there. He could spot the new ones with how nervous or anxious they seemed, fidgeting with their newly pressed uniforms, adjusting the straps on their bags. While he and the other returning veterans were spaced out and just enjoying the relatively quiet ride to school before it all became too real. This was their last year. His last year. Before moving on to university levels. And that much closer to his life goal. If his run didn't get his blood pumping this routinely thought did the trick and as soon as those train doors opened up for the Meadow ridge platform, he was out of there, bolting down the concreted pathway towards the front gate.

Checking over the flyers posted along the walls - both inside and outside of the institute - Rin had made his way to the auditorium for a brief moment, listening to Headmaster Ichikawa's speech, before ducking out and strolling around until he came across Coach Ukai - the men's coach for gym and sports in general. Poor dude was pulled in all directions. Walking up to the man he raised a hand in greeting, the other still snug in his pocket, "Yo!"

"Oh," Ukai turned, blank registration papers in hand, before setting them on the table and greeting the young man in return, "Rin! Great to see you again. Ready for the new swim year?" A beaming smile towards his swim captain. He knew that Rin held the potential to go all the way, but he also knew that the kid needed to relax and enjoy himself a lot more too.

"Heh, you know it, Coach!" His big toothy, shark like grin making an appearance. Glancing around at the now sudden noise he turned back to the older male, leaning against the wall behind the tabled booth, "You'd think with as successful as Meadow is, they could afford to give you a break and hire another coach - even just one more person, ya know?"

Ukai just chuckled at his student and ran a hand through his hair, "Who knows kid, maybe they'll throw me a bone this year. One can only hope." And with that, Rin was off checking out the booths, watching the new students faun over the older students with heart filled eyes or scrambled to go join up with clubs before they filled. It brought back fond memories and he didn't even try to hold back his chuckle.

This was going to be his year.

If there is one thing that Hideo cannot stand, it's getting up out of bed, especially if he doesn't want to. And the first day back to school is a time where he doesn't want to. New video game? Hell yeah! Volleyball practice? Meh, he'll play it by ear. School? Hell no. It just wasn't something he was interested in. To be honest, there wasn't a lot of things he's interested in aside from video games and volleyball. Even that was stretching it.

However, he woke up like he usually did, earlier than necessary so he could get in a few more levels on his handheld. Soon, though, time got away from him and he ended up having to quickly scramble around for his backpack and items that were needed in order to survive the school day. Hideo was out the door in less than 10 minutes and rushing to the train station. A few of the guys from the team were already there waiting for their setter and let out a sigh of relief as they all made it onto the train in time. As soon as the setter sat down, he pulled out his game and began paying again, only sparing them a glaring look when they tried to interrupt him for a friendly morning conversation.

The train ride was a quick one, he didn't live that far - but it was better to take the train than any other way. His first day at Meadow Ridge. He had already taken a tour of the campus ahead of time and with all the practices he's been doing with the volleyball team he felt like he was already home within these walls. Well, as close as he could be with not caring or liking the idea of a structured institution.

The other players had already taken off and were making their way to the Blossom auditorium where there was supposed to be an assembly by the
Headmaster. Hideo just followed along blindly, his gaze still focused on his game than on anything else. Eventually making it to the auditorium, he plopped himself in a seat towards the back where the exit was located. He didn't want to be caught in the onslaught of students rushing out and him being trampled. That would just be a nuisance. The welcoming speech didn't take nearly as long as he thought it was going to, for that he was thankful - however it did limit his game time. 'Ugh, it is what it is,' he thought to himself as he stuffed the handheld back into his pack and was the first one to dip out into the hall.

It was there that he encountered a lot of the upper class-men and their teachers, sitting or standing next to make shift, pop up stands and tables. Most likely for the clubs and other extra curricular activities that the institute provides. He noticed his volleyball coach, Ukai, speaking loudly - as he came to learn is his coach's normal octave - with a student with sharp teeth. Hideo couldn't help but stare and wonder how the hell he was able to have such sharp teeth.

Since his sensei was busy, he decided he was just going to wander and take everything in. It wouldn't kill him to be social every now and then. Right?

Outfit of the day Daze right/Jules left
Collab with Jordan

Being twins, Juliet and Daisie Park shared a lot of things in life. A room, a car, a Keurig machine, k-cups... they even worked at the same job and shared shifts. Sharing a room meant that they shared alarms — unfortunately, both of them also shared a habit of hating the very idea of getting out of bed. For Juliet, the world was cold and loud and not nice. Her bed on the other hand was warm… soft… comforting. She didn’t want to leave it! That was why she’d mumbled to her phone.

“Siri, turn it off…”

And snuggled deeper into her bed. It wasn’t like it was that important! They’d been late before, why did it matter anymore if it was the first day of school or not, they could be as late as they wanted. What would they seriously miss? Some stupid first day of school ceremony? She didn’t want to…

“Oh my GOD, Siri, I said to turn it off!” Jules barked at her phone, diving to stuff her head underneath the pillow. “Is that one even mine? Daze, turn your alarm off! Whose idea was this!?” Juliet had forgotten that they’d made the terrible decision of alternating alarms between their two phones to make sure they woke up in time for school. Juliet had never, in her life, regretted a decision so much “I wanna sleeeppppppppy.” She whined loudly, still hiding beneath her pillows.

The mornings were never kind to them.

At the incessant complaining coming from across the room, Daze grumbled and tried any and all positions that would help her pass back out. No such luck.

It was the same Every. Damn. Morning. Regardless of school or any other event that required their presence at a specific time. The twins shared everything and that included the mutual distaste of waking up. It had been that way ever since Daze could remember. She liked to think that it was because of all the nights she would stay awake, sitting in front of the television - at an unhealthy distance mind you - and binge her favorite anime. However, that excuse couldn’t be used to plead for her defense this time. Sure, she played League of Legends with Sam last night, though she logged off at a decent enough time in order to prep for the last first day of high school hell.

With the muffled cries of her twin, barely audible through foam and fabric, Daze growled out again and fumbled around on her nightstand, blindly searching for the culprit. Once found, she squinted at the illuminated screen and hit the snooze button.

“We got like, 10 more minutes…” her own voice laced with sleep. It didn’t take long for the two of them to drift back off into the land of slumber.

Round one was won by the Park twins, who found their way back to the welcoming comfort of sleep. Unfortunately, they may have won the battle, but they were going to lose the war. When she’d slapped the snooze button, Daze’s finger had missed its mark — and instead, she had turned the alarm off. Ten minutes quickly turned into thirty, and Juliet’s eyes opened without the screaming of her sister’s phone, blaring an alarm in her ears…

Happily, Juliet yawned, stretching her arms over her head, and wondering how this had happened. She beat the alarm? This was different! With a slightly smug look on her face, she glanced over at Daze, reaching out for her phone with one hand. She clicked it on, and her eyes immediately widened, with a look of horror quickly replacing the smug one. THEY WERE LATE. INCREDIBLY LATE.

“Daze, Daze, Daze, you gotta get up! WE’RE LATE!”

It took a moment for the words to reach her sleeping form but when they did, Daze shot up from her comfy position, sheets and comforter pooling at her waist, “Hm, what?! I’m up, I’m up!” Clearly. Rubbing the sand from her eyes she turned in the direction of her twin as she scurried around the room doing fuck knows what. As articles of clothing were being carelessly tossed a rogue, crumpled blouse honed in on Daze’s location and smacked her in the face.

It seemed that that was what did the trick in order to get the older sister up and out of the bed, throwing her legs over the side she ran her hands down her face a few times, smacking the skin lightly in order to rouse herself from her drowsy state. She soon began to trudge her way to the foot of the bed where her outfit lay from it’s placement there the night before. While Juliet was wasting her time in deciding what to piece together from the large selection in their shared closet, Daisie was at least smart enough to plan ahead of time.

A brisk walk carried the blonde twin to the shower where she cleaned up quickly before hopping out and getting dressed. When she turned to head back to the counter and fix her hair and makeup she was thoroughly disgruntled to find that Jules was hogging it.

“Get ouuuuut,” Daze could no more than pout and lightly nudge her sister out of the way causing a stray line of black to skirt up to her hairline. The glare Daze received through the mirror just added to the hardship of trying to hold in her laughter.

When Daze bumped her and messed up Juliet’s makeup, a scowling look immediately crawled across Jules’s face. “I told them we needed two bathrooms,” she hissed. Or at least, two vanities. It was bad enough she had to share a room with her sister, having to share a bathroom just made it worse. Firstly, Jules was a lot cleaner than her sister, and it just got kind of worse in the bathroom… “It’s hard enough for me to get ready when you’re not in the way, wait your turnnnn.” Juliet whined, shooting a look over at her sister.

“Now I have to fix this, and it’s just going to take you more time to get your turn.”

Groaning out of frustration at the issues she just cause for herself, Daze gripped at her hair tugging it and storming off back into their room to look for anything that could constitute as a makeshift vanity. Her gaze lingered a bit longer at her computer set up on the other side of the room and instead of just going down the hall to use her brother’s bathroom, ‘ughh no,’ she physically shuddered at the thought of what that would smell like - she instead plopped herself in front of the screen and booted it up.

Impatiently bouncing her right leg Daze rushed back into the bathroom, dodging through Jules to grab her makeup bag. With the bag in hand, Daze went back to her desk and opened up the webcam and began to apply her face. Not too much longer after she began she was done - something simple for the first day. It wasn’t like anything spectacular was going to be happening today. Why waste the effort?

“Jules~,” she sang out to her twin, “Are you almost done?” She had stood from her desk and began the Keurig machine to supply them with their morning drug of choice. An extra pep for their sluggish steps. If anything could get Daze and Jules through morning hells - it was coffee. And since they had a machine in their room, it was a daily ritual to grab a cup, or two, before officially leaving the comfort of their home and beginning on their adventure.

Jules was done with the bathroom; with her makeup finished, and her hair done, she was put together for the day. Unfortunately, for Daze though, Jules’s tiny frame was blocking the door to the bathroom; and it didn’t look like she was going to give any time soon. Both parties knew that there was almost no chance Daze could slip by Juliet, so for the time being, Jules was in control of the situation and the promised land.

There was only one thing that the princess had in mind. There was only one thing left to complete her morning. She was put together, dressed, and cutie-ified as much as she could be. Now, she just needed one last bit to make everything livable. “Did you start coffee, yet?”

"Yeah, yeah, now get outta the way," and with that Daze traded spots with her sister as she began to blow dry her hair. Upon checking the time on her phone, which was laid out on the cluttered counter between her and the mirror, she let out a surprised squeak.

Daze ruffled the last bits of her damp hair, it'll air dry on the way, she called out to Jules to pack up her shit and the coffee and to get ready to bounce.

"We gotta go!" Snatching her neon green tumbler from Jules outstretched hand she dipped to grab her pin and patch embellished backpack and was heading out the door and down the stairs and towards the front, only pausing to lace up her faded yellow Dr. Martens and yell back to her twin.

"Jules! C'mon!"

“Don’t rush me! We’ve been over that.” Jules responded, sipping from her thermos. Unlike her sister, Jules was walking at a normal, casual pace; she had a philosophy, and she was going to stick to it: if you were a little bit late, you might as well be a lotta bit late. She wasn’t going to rush herself for anything, least of all school. She wasn’t going to get in trouble for one tardy, and it was her last year of school, anyway.

“Senior year, Daisie. Senior year. Don’t go into it stressed out, mmk? We gotta stay chill, or you’ll… I dunno, do something that ruins my plans of going to Disneyland again…” Jules muttered as she stepped out of the front door and toward their car. “”You’re gonna drive, right?” Of course, Jules already knew the answer to that question — in fact, she was heading toward the passenger side door.

Releasing a frustrated sigh as she stood there with the driver’s door propped open, Daze closed her eyes and tilted her head back to the sky, “It’s already gonna be a long year…” and in swift motion she was sliding into the driver’s seat and turning the key in the ignition and they were off towards the campus. “Pass me my cap please~” she gestured with her hand extended in a ‘gimme’ motion, which Juliet complied. While driving slightly over the speed limit, Jules playing DJ in the front seat, Daisie spotted someone skating up ahead.

“Oh, it’s Joey!”

Having already noticed, Juliet had hoped that Daze would drive by while focusing on the road — and therefore not notice the skater boy that Juliet had never really approved of. Unfortunately, Daze was about as safe of a driver as could be expected of the more spastic of the two Park twins… which meant she noticed before they pulled past him.

Scoffing and scrolling through her social media Juliet wore a slight frown, “We’re not picking up your ex-boyfriend, Daze. That’s the last thing I want this morning.” It wasn’t like they had the time to spend taking detours on their way to school. But it also wasn’t like they were in a huge hurry either. Like she said, they just needed to chill. Take the day as it came.

Ding.
Ding.

Simultaneously the twins’ phone’s notifications went off signaling that it was a group text. Most likely from someone in the Knights group. A group chat they’ve had going for over a year now. Most of the time filled with anything from random shit like irrelevant memes, deep thought provoking questions at 3am - all opened and responded to of course - to Sam and Daze hitting everyone up for League and other gaming sessions. During the summer there was suppose to be more meetups, but everyone working more hours and taking trips and just hanging out with other friends - “Psht as if,” Daze had joked - it was harder and harder to get everyone together at the same time.

Without looking up at her sister, Juliet’s finger was sliding across her phone screen. Jules wasn’t about to take the blame for them being late — not when Daze was the one that had missed the button and shut the alarm off instead of snoozing it like she was supposed to!

To: The Knights
we’re late again ofc daze hit the wrong buttin on the morning soooo
we’re on the way tho dwai! uwu

The rest of the ride was enjoyed in relative silence. “Think Rich is wearing a fanny pack?” Daze’s voice cut through the air and resulted in the two of them howling with laughter as they pulled into their designated parking spot that all the seniors were graciously gifted from the school’s administration. Psht. They owed them a hell of a lot more than just some dinky parking spot. Luckily for them, though, they were able to snag the spot next to Sam.

“Aiight, where they at?” Daisie was too busy stretching her tiny limbs to realize that she was about to spill her life source all over her beloved twin.

Luckily for the both of them, Jules had more situational awareness than her sister, and reached up to push the thermos away from its tipping point, before grumbling. “And people think I’m the airhead, because I like Disney… At least I don’t try to melt my sister’s face off with coffee.” Jules muttered, before sipping from her drink herself.

“Oops. Sorry.”

The entire quad was silent, for the most part, as people were shuffling their way towards the auditorium. Daze looked back at her twin, as if to point out that they were not that late. Once they poked their head into the auditorium though, Jules nudged Daze with her shoulder, and pointed out a certain someone in the crowd.

“He beat us here, Daze…” She muttered, looking at Joey P, the skater they’d passed by earlier. They were later than late! Rolling her eyes, Jules made a mental note to make sure she was in charge of the snooze button in the future, and then she headed with her twin toward the others in their little friend group.

“Sorry we’re late, guys… we didn’t miss anything like, important. Did we?”
