Redd emerged from the other side of the bush, disappointed in the lack of red nectar. He then doubled around and came from the same direction they original came for in order to draw less suspicion. He say that another of the newborns was talking to the human. He looked at his make-shift spear, and placed it gently in the roots before approaching any closer.

He was no closer to tasting the red nectar than when he was born, though it felt so close. Their was a temptation just to take it by force, but no, he needed a subtler means of achieving his goal. He had heard that you need to join groups in order to learn magic from humans. He had memories he should not have of what groups are and what they do. For him, the magic would only be a tool for him to add to his tool-belt, the his real objective was to gain the trust of the humans.

Redd walked up to Sabu, for he did not know if the human spoke his language or not and very bluntly asked, "I want to join the humans to learn magic." The line was to emotionless and he technically was not lying, and instead just lying but omission.

@Moonlit Sonata
If she would openly say that she could heal him using her powers, but doesn't just have enough strength to do so, Alex would offer to help. The only problem is that if she doesn't say that, then he can't help.
To clarify, Natus was out of the group's sight as well. Though, I guess she would be able to infer that he is holding back since people aren't suddenly having their tendons ripped apart. (He is to short to cut their necks)
Alex stumbled up to Sarah, and thought to himself if he should trust what they found on the train, but decided to keep that to himself. If there was trackers in the food, they would already have it in their bodies. He looked back at the train and muttered, How does that material work. It seemed to be disabled when the car crashed, but why. Does it need electricity to work and the crash cut the power? Or does it need to fully enclose a person to function."

"I think that would be wise." he said softly to Sarah. He looked around at the group and on a normal day, have of these people would scare him, however today, they had a common foe. If he was back at his mansion, he would probably avoid Sarah at all cost. He never did appreciate the luxuries his money afforded him until now.

@t2wave
I decided that instead of waiting for a while to post, I would just give you a peak into my character's thoughts. If/when he gets a third form for his vessel, it will either be a crossbow or a hand-crossbow. Right now, he doesn't really do much against large groups.
Natus had been hiding before the attack started, preparing to eat. He had brought his own food; solid, tasteless, and efficient. Food that had a broth or liquid element could be dangerous, a single stain can be the difference between being spotted or being invisible. He was not surprised when the foreign army attacked, simply storing his food in a hidden pocket, pulling his bandanna over his face, and pulling out Mercy and turning her into battle form.

He did not attack yet, the others seemed capable of holding of these grunts. What he did do is observe them, and prepared him to take out any runners when the other inevitably lost. These soldiers were woefully under prepared, which meant one of two things: They simply did not know they would run into this group, or this is simply fodder to distract us as more capable foes approached. Either way, he would have to stay alert. A single runner could be trouble, and a captive could be very useful.
The reason I have not posted is because is because Alex doesn't have much to do.
Paranoia, bad for forming longstanding and meaningful relationships: Good for staying alive during war. I think I will wait to see what other people would post since Natus wouldn't be the kind of person to rush into battle. Though I image he has been preparing for everything since being sent on a mission.
Redd had followed silently behind the bugbear, quietly, lost in fantasies of human blood while also making sure he did not trip. He listened to the answers the elder gave, and briefly thought of what the blood of gods would taste like, however while he was ambitious, he realized that many more steps had to be taken before considering that reward, however the idea of their champions seemed like a necessary stepping stone along that path.

He did not know what they was saying, however he found the glow of magic both ominous and tantalizing. He was already at the back of the group, so he took this time to separate himself from the group and hide in a bush. While his red skin betrayed him, sneaking is a lot easier when no one is looking for you.

It seemed like they was about to do something, probably violent, however what are they was about to do would be the prefect time to strike. He took a twig from the ground, and began to use his claws to file it into a small, make-shift spear. If all went as planned, he would not need to barter for the valuable human blood, he could just take it.
Well, if there is a uniform, no would be able to tell if Natus is wearing one.
