@DarkwolfX37@Doc Sammy:

We might greatly edit Yggdrassil's involvement in the plot; for now, take what is shown in the Int Check with a grain of IC salt.

I sorta feel like that answer makes it a no, not a yes. Just an observation.

How so?
@DarkwolfX37, Oh, one more thing, if you're still interested in the game, can we take this to Skype or Discord?

Alright, so: I still don't know if that means that any canon series are canon to this, anime, manga, game, or otherwise. And by "mechanics of the RP" I meant more what are the things specific to this RP that aren't only there because of the story.

Ah, I get you now.

Well, all Digimon Series (Manga, Anime, Game, etc) are canon to this RP but said RP occurs in an Alternate Universe and so we're not going to be interacting with canon stuff until close to endgame.

As for mechanics, well, you can use Crest Powers to manifest weapons, barriers, and other effects; that's the most major change. I and RFH might also add Extra Crests, such as Darkness. Tamers will get the capability to fight alongside their Digimon as equals in this RP.

Oh, and homosexual relationships are permitted; that's another big change.
@Letter Bee If it's pre-Adventure, then shouldn't it be D2's instead of D3's? Or perhaps even the D01? The 01 is choice.

I and RFH decided to make it its own Alternate Universe instead of Adventure, actually.
Alright, so a few questions.
Does this work on digimon, applimon, or both? Is the digimon franchise a thing, like it is in Tamers? What, if any, canon series are canon to this world? Do we pick our own partner or is it provided for us for story reasons? What is the digivice and what are its properties. What is a general rundown on the mechanics of the RP, irregardless of the story itself. Etc.

Digimon. No, the franchise isn't a thing, but Shin Megami Tensei, Pokemon, and Monster Rancher are. Same as above. We pick our own partner. Digivices are D3s, and mechanics of the RP are basically that it's your typical Party RP; it could be made sandbox-ish if needed, though.
@AcetheKidd, but here; a simple explanation.

Digimon: Counting Stars

Eight children from different parts of the world. Eight sets of dreams that would summon them to a luxury beach resort in the Philippines. Eight tickets that would allow them to enjoy access to the resort and all the fun it promised. Then, a blackout in which a gateway into a world different from what they once knew opened without warning, a gateway into the realm known as the Digital World. For champions are needed against a great evil, a threat that seeks to take over all universes, Human and Digital both.

It is a shame that it is the threat itself that has realized this, and seeks to recruit said champions for their own ends.

A brief explanation. In the 1940s, the Atanasoff-Berry Computer and ENIAC were invented, one after the other. They created the first Digital World, the one we know today as the world of Digimon Adventure*. After them came the various Yggdrassil units, supercomputers who implanted themselves into countless parallel universes, creating Digital Worlds in each of them as well. A few of these Yggdrassil units were benevolent, some were arrogant and tyrannical, but a few were merely devoted to esoteric goals and agendas.

The local Yggdrasil merely wished to find others like himself, yet this goal was already enough to do damage, as in order to breach the walls between universes, said local Yggdrasil had to bust a hole in the Digital World; this would kill those inhabitants who cannot get to safety. Seven of the most powerful Digimon objected to that not just because their homes were threatened, but because they wanted Yggdrasil's power for themselves.

These Seven Digimon, later known as the Seven Demon Lords/Seven Deadly Sins, attacked Yggdrasil as the latter were about to begin his plan, and killed him. They then took over the Digital World, replacing Yggdrasil's destructive neglect with their own destructive malice.

Dorumon the leader of Yggdrasil's elite guard, the Royal Knights, decided to resurrect him by recruiting eight human children to partner with several Digimon, who would overthrow the Seven Deadly Sins and then use the power of their crests to revive Yggdrasil...who would be free to burst open holes in the Digital World once more in an attempt to contact his siblings as well as Atanasoff and ENIAC. Note that he does not plan on telling you this; some secrets are best kept hidden.

So, yes, a morally grey tale where you choose between willful evil and wanton destruction, unless you figure things out and come up with your own solution...

*This is Canon, by the way, see this link. And yes, they were Canon Characters before Yggdrassil was a thing.
Humm, is there a simple way of explaining

To be honest, the average RPer can understand this just fine.
Alexander Ascot

Alexander received a text message from his and William's mother, Gilgamesha Ascot, saying that William had failed in his initial attempt, made enemies, and might make more in the future. As Vittorio had left, he had no reason to take on the rest of this skirmish; that and he had to take care of Michael anyway. Looking at Aram, he would shout, "Hey, Alchemist! I sort of need you to help treat your friend's acid burns! That, and I have a job for your Vigilantes!"

Without giving the other boy a chance to reply, the Juvenile Investigations Officer would continue, "I need my little brother, William Ascot, protected for...two months. More to the point, I want one of your members, 'Andras, Demon Lady of Despair', to be one of the people sent to protect him. Can you guys do that?"

William Ascot

"Oh, right; you're with the Vigilantes," Ascot said to Andras. "Well, they can protect you as well, so that's good. I'll also have my brother dip into his personal savings in order to hire you to protect me. Note that in practice, we'll be protecting each other."

In response to Vernon's voice message, Ascot sighed before saying: "And what is Vernon doing now?! Did he just say that he can make me immortal? If so, that's absurd; I am not sure even he has the resources to do that. Well, it doesn't matter; we're going to need to plan a way to defend ourselves from that Half-Demon's minions - if they want vengance - once it's time for us to depart. That'll be after Masami finishes her fight, right?"

Deep inside, Ascot didn't like the fact that he had somehow displeased Vernon. He didn't like that at all, but his boyfriend would forgive him in time, hopefully. What he was more concerned about was trying to extricate himself and his group from any lingering hostility from the half-demon's bodyguards, as they might want vengance (He didn't know Galbrek's name yet). Hopefully, his mother would come and fetch them, soon; she was among the strongest people Ascot knew, with immense powers hiding a unique weakness he didn't want to think about.

A car drove into the Midnight Tournament's Parking Lot; Gilgamesha Ascot had arrived.

The boy looked at Andras, "Mom's come to take us home, it seems."
