It seems a lot has changed in the time I wasn't around here. But I am glad to see it still going strong.

Jo-Vaughan followed Olivia's gaze to the aftermath of the Smith's girl's and the biker's little scuffle. Naturally, it had diffused, leaving bystanders either letting out a sigh of relief or a groan in disappointment. As for himself, he settled with a small smile; it was moments like these that kept Red Lake fresh for him. So when it came to it, he couldn't help but observe; mentally battle his way through the scenario. It saved him countless times before.

After a moment his gaze fell back on that of Olivia, who was ordering a wealth of food.

"Dang girl, you eatin up a storm. he jibbed.

Taking a sip of his last cup of orange juice, he considered Olivia's remark. He found it odd how people could blantly walk into danger without a second thought. No doubt the lake was now a dangerous place. No, he couldn't assume that. Maybe Riley drowned or ran away. But he had no evidence to back up either theory as he missed the morning's news conference. Nevertheless, if Riley had been kidnapped, the lake was no doubt a dangerous place to be snooping for clues.

Town's not much safer either. he mused, the story of the mayor's mauling resurfacing in his memory.

"Nothing much on my end, but that lake, you ain't going alone are you?" he worried. Nowhere was safe, but that didn't mean caution couldn't be applied. There was safety in numbers.

Considering Olivia's offer, he glanced at the trio of plates already stacked on his table. He had already had a hearty meal, any more and he'd burst. Surely that'd be a scene.

He offered the waitress the stack of plates and waved the courteous women away. "Naw I've had my fill. Thanks tho."

"Hello, Olivia."

Jo-Vaughan spared the newcomers a glance. Twins. he thought. Can't say take the time to 'hi' to me either.

Almost immediately the male doppelganger jumped into conversation with Olivia, while the female doppelganger seemed a little reserved. Either that or she respected her male counterpart enough not to interrupt him.

Josh shrugged, leaned back in his seat, and took a swig of orange juice. They were Olivia's friends, naturally she would engage and introduce them to him. Otherwise, he would ignore them just as they him.
Holy shit. This is still going? After two years? Daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

What's good, guys?

Why can't we all just get along. We just had a war, no need to ignite any feuds. Amartía forgave Lif the moment he beheaded him.

With a plate of eggs downed and two glasses of orange juice savored, Jo-Vaughn lounged comfortably in his booth, allowing time for his breakfast to settle before any activity was required of him. It was in these moments of apathy that Jo usually partook in conversation, daydreamed in solitude, or took in the scenery of a town that he wasn't all to familiar with yet. This all accompanied by the cacophony of sound that regularly plagued the cafe.

Sure the cafe was loud, and sure it wasn't rare to hear the sudden shatter and clatter of glassware when the Smith's girl was on duty. But it was the sudden outburst that followed today's usual bout that roused Josh from his dream.

Not even ten feet away, a biker with a rather imposing figure seemed outraged at the Smith girl's most recent accident, as it likely effected him personally. He seemed enraged to the point of violence. Josh couldn't help but feel for both in the situation. The biker was understandably mad, having anything spilled and broken on person would require an obscene amount of washing, cleaning, and tending too, that wouldn't have come about if the Smith's girl had any sense of self-awareness and realized that busing tables and being clumsy wasn't the best of combinations. While mad, the biker had no reason to escalate the situation to the point of drawing every eye in the cafe to them. Yet the woman didn't need to be reminded of her flaws and certainty didn't need the attention being as shy as she appeared to be.

"Whats up Jo?"

Jo-Vaughn's gaze shifted from the altercation to the blonde woman leaning against his booth. He grinned, immediately recognizing the voice and it's owner as Olivia Johnson.

"Eh, nothing much, just eatin. Why don't you take a seat, tell me what's going on with you? he answered, gesturing towards the booth in front of him.
