Always be in the game and keep rolling. Step up, and in the ring if you dare. Always be in the game and keep going. Nobody said that life would be fair

Jannette took a sip of her beer while thinking how to answer to Jafari's question, she ended up drinking half of her mug.

"I have to take care of the family bussines, you see, my father is the leader of a mercenary company. Many say I am suited to replace him when the time comes...but I want to show them, and my father, what I'm worth.

Her smile had disappeared when she started talking about her reason for joining Merlot but soon realized there was no need to ruin the good mood and gave her beer another sip.

"What about you, big boy? I'm sure you have a good story to tell"
"Ah, yes. I guess you can say I am a warrior, not a good one but I guess that is why we are heading to Academy, right?"

Jannette said with a bright smile. The bartender arrived with the food they had ordered, the girl's eyes shined at the sight of such a delicious-looking pork steak.

"Here it is, eat to your heart's content!"
The man said with a smile from ear to ear before leaving them alone, he had more costumers comming, many of them seemed to be quite young, perhaps they were going to Merlot too.

Jannette turned her head to see the one talking with such a broken english, her eyes got wide open when she saw such a big man standing behind her, she almost fell from her chairs as the man sure was intimidating.

"A-ah...Yes, Yes... Water and chiken. Right away sir."
The bartender said a bit sacred and went into the kitchen walking as quick as possible.

Well, now we are two who are not from around here. What brings you to Malvec? Oh, by the way, my name is Jannette Millford. A pleasure to meet you.

She said with a smile, the bartender arrive with the water and beer, the girl took her mug and rised it.

Cheers!
I Made a slight modification on the CS section
Luckily it had been a warm summer night for the fisherman that had sailed down the river from Malvec on a two-weeks fishing trip. They were returning home not only with some delicious salmon, they were also bringing with them a young travels who had Malvec as her next destination.
The sun was rising on the horizon, the sun rays hitting her face and the sound of the birds singing awakened Jannette, who was sleeping onto some sacks of potatoes, she rubbed her eyes slowly and stood up, making sure not to trip with any bag she walked to the bow of the small ship.

"Good Morningstar, Miss! With such a beautiful day we will arrive home shortly. You will love Malvec"

One of the fishers greeted Jannette with a huge smile that could be seen through his long and thick black Beard. Jannette smiled softly and with her left hand moved away a lock of hair waving in front of her hair due to the wind.

"Good morning yo you too, Sir. In deed I have heard Malvec is a wonderful place."

The conversation was interrupted when the woman saw a tall bell tower on the horizon, soon she could see more and more buildings.

"Ah! Home at last!"
Said the fisher, soon the ship reached the port. Jannette helped the fisherman to take the product the to the street market, where the wives were waiting to sell the fishes as soon as possible.
The place was crowded, all kind of ítems were sold and bought. Jannette wandered around until her stomach growled, and since it was already midday she went into a tavern

"Some beer and pork, please."
Jannette said without paying much attention to the bartender, he on the other hand stared at her for a few seconds.
"Right away, young one. I'm sure I would remember such a pretty face like yours. You are not from Malvec, are you?".

"In deed I am not from around here. I am on my way yo the warriors Academy."

Hm...
Lets just leave it at the boost
<Snipped quote by LostPride>

That may work but even if they did have power in the weapons and the power differs, they don't have to be extreme, like you mentioned, depends on the owner of the weapon and their training. Like for instance....my character, if his spear has the power to generate poison from it, only effecting an opponent if the opponent is cut or stabbed by it, it's effects can just simply either numb them or make the hallucinate but the training and strengthening one spirit can help strengthen his weapon to dish out more potent poison/venom when attack is successful eventually making the poison more deadlier later down the line? I thought about poison because of the name of his weapon. And same with you character's weapon with whatever ability it would have...

It's just a suggestion, we don't have to go with that if you don't want to.

I'm still thinking xD
It's just that Im sure someone is going to choose fire or thunder or something that gets you killed instantly like a.50
They all have a specific power the differs from one another?

Have been thinking about it.
How a about they just boost the speed and strength of the characters?
Such Boost depends on how good the owner-spirit relationship is, which can only be improved by fighting, training and meditating?
Oh boy!
Oh boy!

I was thinking!

*Breathes heavily*

How about our characters DO NOT start with their weapons? They have yo pick one when they get to the Academy. And this weapons have the spirits of mighty creatures sealed in them.
