Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Alrighty, then how far away is the drake? If he’s next to Aron, who had to sprint to get next to the Employer, than would the drake also be about 90-100 feet away from the entrance of the hall?
@Expolar

Alright, but back to my question, would my turn come up before or after the Employer? As it is I was still under the assumption that our team won the initiative bout and would go before them. Angus might not because he had started combat separately from the group and thus has his own thing going on. But it is important at least to know where exactly Orchid falls in this order.

Initiative and such probably should’ve been rolled up as soon as Najila Hexed and shot the Employer, so Tis a mistake on my part for not asking about that before taking my action. But moving forward to prevent confusion I just need to know:

Since we are now doing traditional initiative rolls, can I just change the entirety of Orchid’s post? It would not make sense otherwise for her to charge into the room to go after the employer if he was faster than Orchid and no longer there or well beyond her reach.
With the way initiative and stuff is being done, is the employer going to have his spell go off before or after Orchid's more-or-less surprise attack? Yeah I know doing a 100 feet dash isn't exactly subtle, if the guy teleports by the time Orchid's turn comes up, there's no real reason for her to burn all of her actions and such trying to chase him down, ya know? Just not to mention I was operating on the previous premise that we were doing collective team turn order and not regular turn order stuff. If it was the latter, we'd still be going first since the average of our initiative bonus is higher than the average of the Employer and his Guard Drake.
So just to be clear, who's turn is it? Are we gunna wait for Dark Light or what?
Buddy looked at you and gave you a thumb's up. Shortfang peeked out of the bag and looked at you. "Not easy, but Shortfang do it! Shortfang super good!" Pylia smiled and laughed at their antics. "I honestly did not expect that to work out as well as it did. You two are just..." Pylia trailed off laughing, but hearing her question she seemed nervous. "Um... Yeah. Yeah I guess there is. You already saw it before but... I'll show you." Pylia would guide the group out from the Castle Ward and back to the Market Streets. However she than took the party to the graveyard that you remember seeing her speak to when Pylia was suppose to be buying soap. "This is the Temple of the Lady Grace. She's a saint who believed in the Maker. A powerful priestess who gave her life to craft a spell that purged the spirits from an army of undead thousands of years ago. She's the patron saint of the dead and watches over their graves."

Soon Pylia would lead the party to a tombstone. It was a very small one, with only a simple headstone that was barely Pylia's height. On the stone was the following: Seraph Riovas. "This is the grave of my... Dearest friend. Seraph Riovas. I never knew my parents. My father died before I was born and my mother was killed by the plague when I was still an infant. Seraph was a fellow orphan, and only a little bit older than me. We grew up like sisters, her taking care of me and I helping her. She grew up to become a rebellious, spirited perosn, while I was more interested in study and research. But we both shared the same passion: we wanted to help people, heal them, and even bring them back from the dead. That way no one child had to suffer the life we did." Pylia knelt down by the grave, picking off the moss off the headstone and pulling out the weeds over the grave.

"But you know what happened to her. When we got older, we made the mistake of meeting with a necromancer cult and... And they killed her. They would've done the same to me too. But I ran away... Fled while Seraph was killed. I... I can still remember her screaming my name. Every night when I was alone I sometimes hear her screams and I freeze. I don't know if I should run or seek her out." After she finished cleaning the grave site Pylia just looked at the grave. "I... I want to see her again. I want to tell her I'm sorry. I want to save her life. But..."
John smiled wide seeing you. "You pretty!" He said rather loudly. Buddy would dance by, apparently leading the kids in some sort of conga line like dance. Pylia continued to talk to John. Their conversation was rather one-sided as John gave very short or simple answers, but he seemed fully engaged. You could tell that Pylia seemed more comfortable talking to him now that you were here with her. The topic was mostly just about how he was doing and his he's been, which again his answers were fairly basic. Almost vague even, but when pressed for clarification he seemed to only confuse himself. But overall he seems to be doing pretty well for himself as a mason. Apparently the game he was playing with the children involved racing down various colorful marbles of different designs down the hill. Each child has their own marble and roots for who wins. So far the red marble with a black three written on it has the most wins.

It wasn't long before a bell rang. It came from the temple of the Maker, likely from a clock tower. Many of the children grabbed their marbles and ran out from the park saying how they needed to go home. John himself had to leave too since his break over. "Okay! Goodbye John! Take care!" Pylia would say as he big man grabs his marble and leaves. Once the park was clear of the others, leaving only you and your group, Pylia feel to her knees. "Thank the gods... He's okay. After all of these years he's doing fine. That's... That's great." Pylia seemed to have a small tear in her eye that she wiped away. "I was worried that maybe since I was gone, he would've been abused by that mason, or something would've happened that would force John to turn to crime to survive. But seeing him as a simple mason it... It's good. You know, for some things to not have changed."
Your men were quick to their positions. Your crew expertly diverts the ship out of the port and into the open ocean, and once northbound Nyx throws a gust of wind up into the sails. It would allow you and the crew of the Kraken to leave Red Shard before the Doros ships would fill up the port. By the time they would drop anchor, your ship was already across the horizon. The seas were steady and the winds were somewhat favorable, so you would approximate it'll take at least two hours before you'd reach the fishing hamlet. If Nyx used the rest of her second level slots, she would be able to cut time down to about an hour and thirty minutes, again assuming the current winds stay the same as they are. As your crew was busy manning the rigging Kulee looks to you. "So Captain, what are we looking for at this fishing hamlet? Don't imagine we're raiding them for supplies, though I sure wouldn't mind some fish for my favorite soup."
Othie was where you had left her, but she seemed tired as well. She wasn't physically ill in any way, but she seemed even more sluggish than usual. "Caeda... No, since you left it only got stronger. It's like... Crying, screaming. I... It feels heavy..." She was getting feverish, even for her tiny body. If you felt her she was hot like a stone heated by a fire. Soon you'd hear footsteps charging down the corridor with Azure's voice commanding them. You don't hear much due to the sheer commotion but whatever she was doing, she and everyone else with her were going hard at it. Soon though the noise would stop and Sticky's voice could be heard from outside your door. "Ceada, are you alright? I got a potion from Buggsy."
Nope, that’s how small it is. It’s simply “the fishing hamlet” as far as anyone else is concerned.
