Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

"Dwarves are mountain born. While they were mostly craftsman, smiths and such, they've received some training in classic dwarven combat training. None experienced in a real fight, but it won't take me long to get them familiar with the basics. Once we return to Red Shard I can have them convert the greataxes into battleaxes, which ought to cover equipment costs if we plan to arm em. Gnomes are tinkerers, or so they say, not much beyond that. Halflings are stout and hardy but more used to tilling a field than sailing on the open waters. Would take em a while to get their sea legs." Tayang summarized. Just outside the window you could see the orc war ship manned by the former slaves. Most of them have taken to change out from their rags and don a mix-match sets of clothing and bits of leather armor. It was almost comical seeing how many small races were trying to operate such a large vessel. Like watching children at work. The dwarves seem to have already taken it upon themselves to "lead" the group, though the three dwarves seemed to also be bickering among each other. The gnomes were notable scattered about and seem to be struggling with the oars. The halflings stayed together and were more or less in sync, and still having difficulties rowing as it took two halflings to man one oar.
Ya didn't, but I've been on the fritz recently. With any luck I can get back into the swing of things.
"Well let's see..." Tuscon looked around the back before gathering up the three books. "We have some older editions here I can sell you for an affordable price. So Flotilla Fanyare will be 80 gold, Goblin Slayer would be 70 Gold, and The Night Sun will be 95 gold. If you're interested in all three of them, that would normally be 245 gold, but I'm willing to round it down to 240." Tuscon lays the books down in front of you. Buddy picks one up and thumbs through the pages, looking over each one for a few minutes. Eventually he chooses The Night Sun and hands it to you for check out. Tuscon seems to be impressed. "Excellent choice. I actually have family, my grandparents, who were in Greenford. Hearing their tale and reading this book really gives you an idea of the sort of... Horror we can go through, but it's inspiring what some hope and bravery can do to see you through those dark times."
For the most part, I'll be the one deciding that. Generally speaking though the lower level ones (Acolytes and Cultists) are not firmly rooted into their faiths, merely trained via various temples or cults, so while they may have some traditions or ideals they'd stick to they usually aren't too hardcore about it. Priests and Fanatics however are much more dedicated to their respective gods, which naturally would mean they might not play well with you. Conversely, if you go out of your way to specifically search for priests or fanatics who worship your deities or otherwise would ally with your god, you may find them easier to obtain than if you simply recruit whoever is offering their services.

In short, anyone you don't actively need to recruit for are generally low level but also low faith, so don't worry too much about religious clashes. But if you actively want one who would fit Talogan beliefs, you'll have to IC look for them or just take your chances with whoever I randomly create.

Donny followed the rest of his hero team to their designated starting point. He jiggled nervously wondering what exactly their tasks were before Mako’s voice broke over the speakers and gave them their details. Basically, the hero team needed to protect ten gold briefcases until time was up. The villains needed to take the brief cases and bring it back to their side. ”So it’s like Capture-the-flag…” Though there were some obvious difficulties for the heroes. Firstly, only four of the six hero students arrived, and he was pretty sure the villain team had a full roster. Secondly there are ten briefcases likely scattered about the area. So even if they had a full team, there was no way the hero team could protect each briefcase.

Still Donny had a few ideas. He looked to the others when Nadeko arrived. ”Hiya Maeda-San. Didn’t miss m-m-much. Just started.” His voice was stilted and Donny was still uncertain if his plan was really a good one, mostly because he was going to do it himself. But it’s important to communicate so he turned to the others. ”I got two plans. F-F-First, we find the briefcases and take them ourselves. They just n-n-need to be on the pedestal when time is up right? So we can keep them safe until then. Second plan… Um well… I-I-I eat the villain starting area. The bad guys have to re-re-return it to their base yeah? So no base means they don’t w-w-win even if we lose some briefcases. Just gotta make sure n-n-no one is there when I eat the p-p-place.” These sounded like good ideas to Donny, but he wasn’t sure how the others felt about it. But he figures since none of these plans involve hurting the other students directly, even the villains, it should be fine. Real heroes break in and destroy villain lairs all the time, even if they’re in public areas since bad guys like to hide among civilians. Taking the briefcases themselves might be more questionable, but Donny just chalked it up to turning a tower defense job into an escort mission. It happens.

Regardless Donny how low to the ground, launching a few bone-tipped tendrils out into the ground in front of him. He needed to move fast and he knew when he ran he looked kind of creepy, but as Mako said, crime waits for no one. ”We-we-we should get moving! We can talk and walk!” And so Donny took off to find a briefcase. Hopefully the others would follow and communicate as they moved, less the villain team get the head start on them. He pulled his body forward, and before his mass would reach the tip of his tendrils he would shoot out more to stick or dig into nearby surfaces, allowing him to continue pulling himself forward at some frankly alarming speed, like some eldritch Spider Man.
I will neither confirm nor deny.
What I told you is largely unrelated to anything you would've figured out via your perception check. Basically, you didn't learn anything that you wouldn't have already known (if you wanna ask me if your character would've known via his past experiences and such).
Yeah as near and far as you can tell this is just a bath house. Now I don't know how experienced Martin is about bath houses, but I would say that he can at least infer this much from it's location and existence: You could buy prostitutes here, since that's usually what a bath house makes the most money in, in addition to actually being able to take a bath and wash up. And in this part of town, where it's more or less a lawless ghetto, it certainly wouldn't be unusual to see prostitution here. Which in and of itself has... A complex existence within the city. But suffice to say Martin will at least know that this place isn't any more better or worse than any other whore house or bordello that takes itself seriously as a business.
Sure go for it.
The group would move into the bath house together. Entering, things looked pretty official. Wood furnishing, clean cushions, and there was a desk with a receptionist sitting behind. A large burly orc stood near the door brandishing a wooden staff and some leather armor with the bath house's emblem on it, a uniform of sorts. He was likely a guard or bouncer for the bath house. The receptionist was a fairly old human woman who looked at the group with an indifferent smile. "Welcome to the White Waters Bathhouse. Are you here for an hourly bath, the day treatment, or just an appointment?" The old woman would show the group a menu with the bath house options.

The scent here was thick with incense and other artificial aromas. While it was certainly better than the muck and stink of the eastern ghettos, it was apparent that this place was trying to overpower the scent outside with the very strong scents here. Muffled behind wooden doors you could here chatter of bathers and some splashing of water, likely the baths themselves. On a display nearby were two robes, one of men and one for women, presumably to wear while within the bath house. Overall this place was an oddity in such a run down area, and it seemed to make efforts to look better than it's downtrodden neighbors.
