I've been working on various battle archetypes, and if you'd like I can send them over to you in PM to see if they're in line with what you're considering. I'm pretty interested! Not used to PVP elements in a RP but I do otherwise play a lot of competitive games lol

I do have a few questions since I'm here fairly early. I do want to work on a character concept in case this does lift off.

1. Legendary Defenders sounds like it has PvE elements, such as the defending against an alien invasion thing. I imagine as an MMORPG it has raids, dungeons, open world questing, etc. Is there a scene for raiders or dungeon speed runners, even if significantly smaller, like their PvP counterpart?

2. How would mechanics of the MMORPG translate into the PvE? Most MMOs out there are notorious for having dozens of keybinds, but the PvP section reads much like most MOBAs in terms of skills (3 active abilities and 1 ultimate, along with one passive).

3a. What year does this take place? Modern or near future?

3b. What year did Legendary Defenders release?

4. If the game has been out long enough for there to be such a big e-sports scene, is it possible to make past years' champions?

5a. Are all the PvP elements in Legendary Defenders solo or are there team elements such as 2v2, 3v3, etc.?

5b. Are all the events in the underground fighting ring solo or is there potential for team events?

6. Are we, the writers, going to use any kind of stat/attribute/modifier system and/or dice rolling?

I'm not necessarily planning to do all these things, just want to know how the culture of this game operates. In any event, I'm likely to do a seasoned veteran of some part of the game. Maybe a recent convert from PvE to PvP?

Besides that, I'm totally open to really any playstyle. I usually round out groups but since this is PvP-based, I may just work with some inspired abilities and concepts sooner rather than later.

Hello! Dropping an interest here. I've actually recently played through and finished FFX and playing through FFX-2 right now. I'm down to play any role, though I'm specifically interested in classes like: ninja, thief, white mage, black mage, blue mage, summoner, bard, samurai, chemist or dancer. I'd say gunner perhaps, but I'm not sure if you'd be open to bolt-action rifles (maybe powered by the crystals?).

I'm usually a person that likes to round out a team since I have so many interests. In terms of races, are we restricted to what's in XIV?

I'll be working on a character over the course of today. I do have another question regarding the alien races. Is virtually anything on the table or should we keep it fairly sci-fi? Mass Effect type or we allowing anthros? When I have so many options, it takes a lot longer to decide lol

Also, what size group do you plan on running? I've found I'm more of a small group person myself. 4-5 is preferable. And are there plans for a discord server?
