Violet Sheep Happy Hunting: A Cyberpunk Game

Connecting my cyber deck to the interest check! Tried to run in another one but I worry it is DOA. Also been playing Cyberpunk 2077 a lot the past two weeks so I have a lot of inspiration!

I can see some similarities and differences already. I do have questions if you don’t mind so soon.

Are we gonna be able to do various roles, such as Netrunner, Hired Muscle, etc?

Approximately how long has AutoAmerica been established?

Are we at the point of flying vehicles (at least for the rich and mega corps)?

Edit to say that I love Rabbit Junk. Was introduced to them about 7 years ago. WDKYWMYAK is my go-to RJ song.

@TheNoCoKid I've been making modifications to my character sheet. Being on a Cyberpunk 2077 kick, I felt that the things I've included are in-line with the RP. The biggest point I'm trying to make is that many of her features are fairly standard, not trying to do a lot of extra stuff. Let me know if this is the kind of cyberpunk you envisioned or if it is too much!

@Dark Cloud Character sheet on RPG is for everyone to read. It can go into a lot more detail and follow a template for consistency. Using dndbeyond CS's Notes is fine, but that will be moreso for you alone because nobody can read them except for the player/DM.

Excuse my absence everyone! One of those things where you forget there's a holiday and people actually still care about celebrating the weekend. That said, it's gonna take me a little bit more time to put the start together. Rest assured I'm making progress, in fact I've made a new world map I would like to share with you all later today as the one I linked in my first post was made months ago.

Tait follows the flow of foot traffic, Creds surrounding her like a school of dry artifish. It would be easy enough to slip her fingers into the long coats of some overconfident alley péngkè; she would know, it's what she grew up doing for as far back as she can remember. Problem is, they are small fry now. Anything she can pick could place her in hot water and, worse, physical confrontation. No pocket credit is worth the trouble at this point. After all, she has a roof over her and Cali's head and has stocked up on soy noodles to last her geek of a sister months without having to leave the Blue Room. And she has done that before.

Technically, Memo:Re can be turned off anytime. At this point, Tait has felt that her safest recourse is to leave it on in case someone randomly (or not-so-randomly) plucks her off the street for some snuff AR. She can do her best to pull off self defense maneuvers to escape, but her strongest feats are the ability to run and hide, she just needs to have enough warning or awareness to vanish from sight. Up the alleyway gutter; blending into a crowd; finessing her way into strangers' conversation. All tactics she has at one time or another employed to escape suspicion.

Waylaid by intrusive thoughts of what a place like Delta City is capable of, she catches herself following a woman wearing a transparent raincoat, wearing bare minimum clothing beneath it. Cybernetics follow her spine, arms, and legs, clearly showing off the work and resources put into her body. A working lady, Tait thinks. Too early to be going in. She must be on her way home from a shift. She slows her own pace to distance the two of them, finally looking around to where she's at.

Electric Sheep Motel. "Lucky!" She says aloud excitedly, pumping a fist in the air. At some point, she had stopped paying attention where she was going. Turns out she is at the foot of the building that will lead her to a fresh mystery nearby. Information is power, and she intends to learn what happened to the Sk8te to see if any cells need to be warned. Her fingers gently pick at the 1337 patch on her jacket's breast and eyes the tall, ugly building as she ponders her next move.

@PigeonOfAstora All you really need is the want to be an adventurer. If need be, I can help with character creation and mechanics.

@Dark Cloud Negative. I'm not approving anything until the OOC is up and I have opened up CS submissions. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I'll give it upwards of a week to give people time to put their stuff together. Space is limited (4 players max). This is not first-come first-serve.

@Timemaster This RP is intended to be more dialogue and narrative focused with the occasional combat. There will very likely be times where you will have multiple combat encounters in a single adventuring day, but most of the focus will be outside of combat. Treat this RP as normal in that regard, character interactions and exploration.

@Dog I'm using 5e rules as written with very few exceptions -- homebrew rules that usually add to the game rather than detract or change. That applies to AC. Meet to beat, as it goes. Otherwise the defender successfully blocked or dodged your attack. There are already damage resistances and invulnerabilities, as well as damage threshold (where you must do minimum x damage to deal damage at all), though those are usually for objects or structures.

For uneventful regular travel, we'll just account for supplies such as rations or scavenging. Where travel is intended to be the focus of storytelling and mechanics, we'll start to tracks things a little more meticulously. In a world of high magic, I tend to say that resources aren't terribly difficult to acquire as long as you don't just ignore it all or make really bad decisions.

@Timemaster Depends on what you're going for. They're all valid and have different flavors. Did you have something particular in mind in terms of flavor?
