The worst thing about mental illness is you have to look after yourself a disgusting amount. I know it's the only way to actually be in a fit state to look out for others, but it still feels wrong.

Judging by the Internet's definitions of introversion and extraversion, you'd think everyone's either an extreme hermit or a party animal with no in between.

Bio

A frazzled British thirtysomething cat mum with something of a tea addiction.

I like a wide range of RP genres, but have two absolute favourites: Pokemon and magical girls. (If someone manages to combine the two, I'll be VERY happy!) I post fairly regularly, but sometimes shit mental health days crop up - if that causes any delays, I'll try to resume posting ASAP.

♪♫♪ Cecilia "Cici" Taylor ♪♫♪

Location: Stellanova City

@Zarkun

Lights flickered and pulsed in the dark water, red and yellow, brightening as they rose to the surface. The sea, which resembled the star-filled sky, should have been a breathtaking sight, but Cici looked away and hurried along. They were just Staryus and Lanturns, she knew that, yet they brought back memories of rather different Pokemon, ones that had lured her through the shadows of an enchanted forest with that mesmerising glow...

Shuddering, she cradled the little grey kitten. "Come on, Nocturne. I know cats like to be out and about at night, but it's going to be a big day of exploring tomorrow."

Nocturne, as alert as Cici was exhausted, simply stared ahead at something that glinted in the street lamps. With surprising speed for a hatchling, the Meowth leapt from her trainer's arms and raced forward, batting and pouncing on some dropped bottle caps. Unused to running around, she staggered and tripped over her own paws.

"Easy there, little one!" Rushing to the cat's side, Cici checked that Nocturne was ok before picking her up. "You can play once we're at the Pokemon centre. Look, we're nearly there now."

Once inside the building, no sooner had Cici retreated to her room and set out food for her Pokemon that her phone rang. Recognising the number, Cici smiled. It had been quite some time.

"Hey!" she said as she answered, her tone bright despite her tiredness. "It's been a while, how's everything going?"

The kitten turned around, eyes narrowing at her trainer's attention being on someone else. With a loud meow, she clambered onto the bed, then onto Cici's shoulder, trying to nuzzle the phone out of the way and purring as if to drown out Tommy's answer. "Ow! As you can probably tell, the egg hatched," the musician added with a chuckle.

This Pokemon was going to be a handful. An irresistibly cute handful though, Cici thought, reaching round and petting the little cat.

@OtomostheCrazy If you need a summary, most of the group went exploring the caves and have run into a horde of Zubats and Golbats. That's the main thing really, not much else has happened.
Jessamyn "Jess" Bailey

Given the situation, Jess had little appetite, although she had no choice but to follow Roxy to the cafe. Having lunch with someone else should have been a joy after all those years alone, but this world she'd been dragged back into was nothing like what she'd expected. Throughout the walk, she made sure to stay close by Roxy. The anchor remained silent, keeping that morass of emotions as tamped down as possible - until she opened the door.

As soon as she stepped inside, Roxy gave off that spike of fear and anger again. Jess flinched, glancing in the same direction the other woman glared, then averting her eyes. That shady-looking man... Had he noticed her reaction? Did he know she was on to something?

And if he did... What would that mean?
Happy new year to you too! Will have a post up soon.
Amber Pine

Mesalon Cave Complex

@fer1323 @Heckno12 @AbysmalDemon @Dusksong @Noxx

As soon as she ran into the cavern, Amber shielded her eyes from a flash of bright light. Screeches from the Flying types filled the cave, and the researcher looked up, blinking away afterimages to see many of the bats disappear into tunnels.

Others, though, swivelled their ears towards the group, jaws stretched wide - and in the midst of the chaos, the previous target of their hunger writhed. A dragon, overwhelmed by the predators' sheer numbers.

"Kyra! Use Tackle!" As much as Amber wished she had a strategy that would cause minimal harm to the bats, her options were more limited than Rachel's. The Rockruff barrelled towards a Zubat, knocking it aside. Almandine scampered to Kyra's side, only for fluttering shapes to close in on her.

"Alma, hold on!" Amber called. "Use Recover, then Night Shade!" As a growling Kyra dragged a Zubat away from her ally with her teeth, easily shaking off strikes from its wings, light flared. More bats fled, and the ones that remained were quickly driven away by the wave of dark energy that replaced the glow.

"Chalcedony, Larimar, use Harden and defend the others!" The two fossil Pokemon scurried in front of the group, shells shining.

At her level, Amber knew she could only give so much support, but every little effort mattered.

@Balthazar007 Yay!! That works much better. Florence and Leisy are going to get their Ribombees soon...

Will have a post up ASAP.
@OtomostheCrazy Alexis' song:

Jessamyn "Jess" Bailey

"Ah! S-Sorry!" Jess blurted out, cringing back from the flare of irritation. She'd pried too deeply, and Roxy wasn't exactly in the mood to deal with much else... including an overapologetic empath, she chided herself. Plus, considering the way things were starting to look, she'd have to learn to be stronger than this, for Roxy's sake as well as her own. "Yeah... it, um, doesn't seem like a good idea for anyone to get on your bad side."

When she had no idea what to say to help, the empath thought, maybe it would be best if she shut up. Falling silent, she trailed behind Roxy, taking care to keep up. If the shield slipped again, that wouldn't improve the situation any.
