At Basil's suggestion, the only thing that Steph gave him in immediate return was a blank look. It seemed like she was taking a moment to process this thought, if it wasn't obvious this never once occurred to her at any point during this little endeavour. While she was still indeed a little annoyed with the Sneasal for stealing her pokedex, it wasn't like that would affect her decision....right?

At the very least, Steph seemed to join the Sneasal in seriously considering this proposition. I mean honestly, it was a good deal for Steph regardless so long as she buried the hatchet over the robbery it committed right? There was no real or obvious downside on her part. Though she took a moment to throw a look to her shoulder, where Dusk was just happily relaxing away while this little exchange was happening. "Lit?" One could almost see him pointing at himself as her questioning gaze at the Litwick.

"Lit, Litwick!" While Steph wasn't exactly an expert on understanding a litwick, or most pokemon for that matter, they both seemed to be on the same wavelength however as there was just a simple exchange of nods after Dusk's flame seemed to increase for just a brief moment when it cried out. It seemed to clue towards Dusk being...happy?

"Waell, dusk heah is moah thahn hahppy t' laeh' yah in sao Oy ineh' gawt nao prawblem if yah wahnna join us bud. Nao doubt we would be ooll the bettah faw ih'. We do plahn on weennin thiies whole laygue though, sao yah bettah be praepaehd t' be trine and become the baest weeth us oolroigh'? just a faeh wahnin sao yah knaow whaht yaw gettin yoahsself intao. and who knaows, mybee whaen weah bawth strawng enough we cahn haelp stawp aw praevent uhthah pokemawn frawm bein weeth sloimebohls loike thaht deepshih'? At the very layst, we'll be able t' do somethin aw dayl weeth ih' a lawt aysier thahn thaht maess bahck theah!" Stating she was going to win the league on the very first day of her adventure, a day where she had almost gotten arrested twice, was bold. Ultra, mega bold. Arrogant even. But the way she spoke and held herself, she seemed convinced this was the only way her journey would end. She exerted confidence at least, that was for certain.

"Lit, lit!" And the way Dusk called out from her shoulder in what seemed to be agreement seemed to show maybe this level of confidence didn't fall too far from the tree in that sense either.

But at the end of the day, it was up to the Sneasal on whether or not it wanted to join forces with this crazed lunatic of a girl. She wasn't going to force it one way or the other.
Rivia Silvermane

Seeing as the group was happy to share in the dango with her also brought a smile to the wolf kins face. Nodding at Ferrs mention of finding the wonders of living in the city, she couldn't agree more with him. While the wilderness was always her home, the city was new and big to her. So even small things like a sweet vendor or hell even a mural or a park bench seemed to draw her attention at times. Let alone the vast varied individuals that wandered the streets; despite her probabaly being the most outlandish in the entire city. But at the end of the day, she was enjoying her time in the capital it seemed.

"Shieldy?" Tilting her head at Edusa, it took a moment of pondering for Rivia to realise she was talking about Ferr. Though with that realisation out of the way, she watched Edusa tried to speedrun not just only eating the dango but life itself it seemed as she began to choke and sputter before downing what only could only assume, or at least hope, was water from her flask. She seemed a lively one at any rate, though as she talking about being a brawler that piqued the wolfs interests. While sparring with Ferr was fun and challenging in its own rights, he was little more than a punching bag considering his....she couldnt say it was unwillingness, but it seemed more like a lack of offensive options? Mayb there was more to the story, she couldnt comment.

But at any rate, the prospect of fighting a fellow warrior was quite enticing the wild girl. Not that now was the time to be having such thoughts as it seemed like she had interrupted a meeting of sorts between heroes? Though it seemed like the spear was happy enough to have her around, she did frown a little. "Rivia is with Cole and Ferr, not just Ferr." She was quick to correct him, thinking back to when she joined them. She was told to work with the both of them after all, not just one or the other. She had mostly just been with Ferr because Cole seemed busy and Ferr wanted someone to train with.

At any rate, Rivia was happy enough to follow them, putting the bag that contained the last of the dango away. There was at least one more member of their party to share this with after all, so she was saving the last one for Auriel. And maybe also another one for later. Making sure to keep pace with them, she took this moment to approach Lev as they walked and take a few sniffs from the air around them, and also did the same to Edusa. This was her first time meeting them both proper, but they seemed fine enough by their scent? At least, nothing fishy stood out to her despite something seeming....off about the way the spear talked? Not that she was an expert on interactions or the like, so maybe it was just her.

"Right. Rivia, pleasure to meet the both of you. Are you friends of Ferr and Cole as well? Can Rivia also be your friend?" Taking a moment to introduce herself to both Edusa, seeing as they didnt talk last time, and Lev who she was meeting for the first time, she looked to Cole and tilted her head again. She seemed to be asking what they were doing, or maybe why they were out here? After all, she hadnt heard of any meeting nor knew of its impromtu status.

Unsuprisingly, the moment the Sneasals eyes locked onto Steph and Dusk its mind immediately went into a panic. After all, last it knew Steph was chasing it down then beating it in a battle and the red head had seemed rather mad at it. Though she couldnt say she had let the matter go entirely, the matter of the fact was that as Freya was now pointing out, it had seemed...reluctant to do so. The fact its partner was so happily ready to abandon it also told a story. They were hardly 'partners' in this at all. If anything, it seemed like the Sneasal had little choice but to follow the thief around. So it wasn't like Steph was forgiving the Sneasal or anything, but she was happy enough to ignore the matter. Best to leave the blame all on the selfish fuckwit who betrayed it.

"Yayh bud, yah deedn't saym ooll too hahppy weeth thaht guy. And sayin haow he trayted yah at the end theah, Oy cahn't blyme yah." Crossing her arms over her chest, she leaned back against a nearby tree and seemed to study the still hurting Sneasal for a moment. "As curious as Oy am t' ask abeow' yah and thaht fuckweets reluytion, t' be honest Oy dawnt knaow if Oy wahnna knaow. thaht lahst interahction tawld me enough. Yah desuhve why bettah thahn anythin thaht graysy sloimebohl could geeve yah and naows yoah chahnce t' do whuytevah yah wahnna do instayd. Just stie eow' of peoples belawngeengs eh?" She couldnt help the light hearted jab at the end, after all she hadn't forgiven the Sneasal for starting the mess. But forgiving and understanding didn't have to go hand in hand.

"spaykin of wheech, whahtcha gawnna do weeth em buysil? at the very layst, he nayds t' gao t' a pokecentah Oy reckawn t' geh' chaecked up. naevah knaow whaht else thaht sheettah diied t' hiiem befoah."

Unfortunate to hear mate, will miss Ferr but it is what it is. Best of luck to you and best wishes going forward.

On a semi related note, will look to post this weekend as I’ve got a lot of spare time over the Easter long weekend.

It was a good thing that Shiro was already ticked off, because oh boy was this fight just grinding on her nerves. Well, mostly the attitude of whoever this worm thought he was that she was currently struggling to finish off. Maybe a cockroach was a more apt why to describe him? At any rate, his binding was really hampering her and she was actually starting to hurt from all the blows she was receiving. Which might've seem odd at a glance, seeing as her defenses seemed fine moments before, but it seemed like this poacher was either too stupid or too arrogant to notice. However, before Shiro could do what she planned she still did need to either immobilize him or somehow deal with this sword lodged in her, removing access to her dominant side.

And it seemed like this sword also came with another issue, one she had considered happening but really hoped it wouldn't as she found herself dragged back and away suddenly. The pull of the sword too great as she found herself soon eating a face full of mud back in the center of the ring. Actually now that he mentioned it, where had that lously Henri gone? She had almost forgotten about him, such was her annoyance and attention directed towards Hagar.

But as she looked up, she was quick to notice just where he was. Currently in the midst of landing a solid uppercut to the leader of the poachers jaw and launching him out of the ring of blades that surrounded them. Why hadn't he done that sooner? Speaking of soon, she soon found herself pushed slightly to the side by the sudden appearance of a massive shark jaw, the caster of which she presumed was Henri considering the nature of the spell and the element it consisted of, which dislodged not only the sword binding her; but also made quick work of the wall of blades. Well, at least a fair chunk of it.

"If you could've done that earlier, why didn't you you buffoon?" Pinching the bridge of her noise, she just shook her head and sighed. No matter, there were bigger fish to fry. Stepping out through the entrance so handily made, she began scanning the area to find where Hagar was. She had unfinished business with that piece of shit.

It would seem like they were all done now with little issues bar this treant sap that Meredith had mentioned earlier. Hopefully it would go well without it, well it must really. Manami didn't know what would happen if it didn't, but one could easily assume it wasn't anything good. So it just had to work. If it wasn't going to, why would Meredith even bother making it after all?

But just as those thoughts were shaken out of her head came a loud crashing sound from below them. Confused and almost in a daze, she watched as Meredith and her two assistants ran down the stairs before shortly making her way after them. It seemed like Karla was in trouble from the sounds of it; and definitely by the looks of when when Manami found the state the room she had been left in was. Even to someone as inexperienced with the magical arts that the witches practiced, Manami found herself unable to ignore the miasma like sensation the room seemed to be covered in. Just what was this though? She didn't even have the chance to ask Meredith as she was already gone.

But at this moment she heard the older lady's voice call out to her, the purple haired girl running to the gaping hole and looking down at the predictament down below. Even with little context as to the state Karla was in, Manami wasn't an idiot. There was something seriously wrong with the usually soft spoken girl, lashing out and attacking her fellow witches. Let alone her deformed state. But more importantly, Bullet, Meredith and her assistants were in dire need of help as one of them seemed unconscious and the others fighting a losing battle as a thick bush of thorns erupted from the ground.

Feeling something wet and warm dripping from her hand, she looked down almost in shock as she realised while she had been standing there she had been clenching her fist that tightly that she had drawn blood. Her other hand clutching at her shirt in a tightly clumped ball as she thought a sudden pressure around her. They needed help and fast. The best course of action would be for her to get help no?

......wait no, there was no help. Everyone else had gone to help Talos right? Shit, fuck. The only people she knew might still be here was Zhulie or noncombatants. There was no guarantee of anyone being able to help. That meant...Manami herself had to do something. Manami was a mage, a strong one capable of fighting at that. But this sudden crippling feeling, this hesitation that set in even as she watched her new so called friends getting hurt...it made her freeze entirely. She even forgot to breath as memories, images flashed before her eyes.

She had to do it. She had no choice. She needed to do this. No one else could right? What was she doing then? She had sworn not to....but if now wasn't a time to use it, then when would she ever justify it?

"Arghhhhhhh! Fuck it!" Slamming her fist on the ground and ignoring the pain, she decided to once more call upon her magic. Delving into her greatest sin and regret for a good cause one last time, at least this was how she convinced herself. Snatching the vial that hung from her neck, she hurled it at Karla and made a clenched fist towards the girl. As if on cue, a radiant gold burst from the small vial, shattering the brittle container and began to expand rather rapidly into a watery hand the size of a small dog and go to grab Karla. "Karla, please stop this! Can't see you see you're hurting your friends goddamnit!" Calling out to her, even though she felt it to be hopeless, the former dark mage began to make her stand despite the pain and anger on her face.

If the hand managed to grab hold of the girl, she would immediately begin casting Soothing Waves through the hand. She didn't care how much of a burden this would place on her, she needed to calm down or snap Karla out of whatever this state she was in. For Meredith, this was the first use of magic she had seen Manami use since joining Wolven Pyre. In fact, any of the witches had seen. Yet despite it being as beautiful and radiant as the sun, there seemed to be a hidden darkness lurking about it.
Rivia Silvermane

For much of the week, Rivia would continue her sparring with Ferr. She was more than happy to after all; he was more than capable of taking hits from her she found out and thus consequently stopped holding them back. Perhaps unsurprisingly really, considering he was the shield hero. It was his job among the heroes to be the best defensively. So Rivia saw it fit to see what he could do offensively, after all they went hand in hand. Though it was hard to judge it entirely based off such a short amount of time, her best theory was that he was simply lacking in experience in close combat to make proper use of his defensive capabilities in an offensive manner. At any rate, time was running out and for now he was at least getting better at handling his agile partner, even if he found it difficult to land any meaningful blows back. She had spent just about her entire life training after all, though her skills seemed more raw and instinctive than something disciplined or well drilled into her, which also made her such a handful. Predicting her movements was a waste of time, for she just seemed to go with the flow and embrace the chaotic methodology behind a scrap. Even if she didn't realise it.

So what did she get up to during the times Ferr was busy doing other things? Well, it seemed like Cole and Auriel had also been busy so she didn't get to do much with either of them though she was certainly eager to spar with them as well, curious about the difference in fighting styles and strengths they had. But alas, she actually spent most of her time learning how to read. It was rather inconvenient after all that she seemed pretty incapable of reading their language, she seemed to pick it up at a decent pace. Though maybe saying she couldn't read wasn't entirely fair; she was just completely unfamiliar with their language and had barely begun picking it up as a spoken language. It seemed like her tribe had their own language and methods of communication, though her father had taught her some basics on how to deal with people from the outside this was more to build on that basic knowledge.

Like a sign with a big red cross to signal do not enter? She got that much. But a street sign or a fork in the road telling you where you are or where you're going? Well, she knew numbers but not the words. So with these lessons taking up much of her free time, she spent whatever remained of it roaming the city. Just getting used to the place and trying to practice her speech and the like with the townsfolk. Though most of them seemed to either ignore or avoid her for reasons she seemed completely oblivious to. But her fellow demi's seemed happy enough to help her, as did some normal more open townsfolk.

In fact, the girl was currently happily munching on some skewer like food she had gotten from one of them as a gift as she wondered the streets as we spoke. She wasn't sure what this was, but it wasn't meat but something sweet? Which speaking of which, sweets wasn't something she was familiar with till she came to the capital. She was used to a diet of meat and then whatever else she could forage, whether it was plants, herbs, berries; whatever. So her first interaction with a sweet....and she seemed to melt away with bliss. Turns out she had a massive sweet tooth. But back to the food currently being savoured by the wolf girl. She was told it was called a dango? It was delicious anyway, and she had another few in a small bag as well she was going to bring back to the others.

Tail and ears switching and swaying happily as she walked, she was certain the others would love it as well. Well, assuming they weren't too busy that is. If not...well more for her then!

Though she came to an abrupt stop, her ears standing on end as she overheard some people walking by. Something about the spear hero being back? And that the other heroes were meeting with him in the town square? Rivia had been away since the morning so this was her first time hearing this, but she figured if that's where the others were going to be she might as well head on over as well! Then they could share in this...uh dango was it? Whatever it was called together!

It didn't take long to find them, they sure drew a crowd didn't they? Slipping through with ease and the dango stick still sticking out of her mouth, she left a couple of startled onlookers in her wake as to them she just seemed to appear from thin air. She was good at erasing her presence, after all that was a necessity as a hunter. Though when she arrived, a strange man seemed to be beating his hand on his chest in front of Cole, Ferr and uh...she had already forgotten the red heads name but she recognised her from the party at the very least.

"Ferr, Cole, Rivia was given something called 'dango', did you want to try?" For now she didn't seem interested in the man talking to them and instead approached the two heroes, also offering a look towards Edusa. "Did Coles friend want one as well? Rivia, by the way." Pointing at herself as she spoke, she reached into the bag and offered a dango to each of them before also offering one to Lev. Though she didn't seem to know who he was. "Are you also a friend of Cole and Ferr? Rivia has more if you wanted one?"

"Just cause ih' ineh' uncawmmaon doesn't myke ih' any laess scummy naow does ih'." Came the annoyed grumble from Steph. She was still fuming. Stealing from her was one thing. Attacking her with a pokemon was scummy but once again, it was one thing. But then to backstab your partner like that and just book it? Steph had half a mind to go back and pummel him again just for good measure. Though she did feel quite satisfied, there was no such thing as beating a scumbag like him too much now was there? Ok, maybe there is but not the point.

But damn, this Basil was it? She thinks thats what Kapoc called him but he hadn't introduced himself. To be fair, neither had she yet so she should probably get on that. But anyway, damn this Basil guy had some sick tats didn't he? Like just overall he seemed like one of the lead love interests in some soppy love drama series. Even had a contrasting personality to match; the one that looked like a bad boy but was actually a gentle, kind individual once someone got to know them. Not like Steph was an expert on this types of things of course. She would never be caught dead reading or watching that stuff...ever. Yep. Never. Not once has she ever done that. Wait, now wasn't the type to fangirl over potential favourite character archetypes from something she definitely never read or watched.

"Eh the fuckwih' hahd ih' comin, Oy deedn't do much except bein the one he desoided t' tahgeh'. Oh and Steph's the nyme boy the why, noice t' mayt ya Oy suppose...uh Basil was ih'?" Steph said with a roll of her shoulders as Freya began to bandage up her fists without so much as even asking first. Not that Steph was going to stop her from doing it of course, but damn once she got to know someone she just did it without even asking huh? She really was a kind individual.

Which just made her scary side even scarier.

Oh this wannabe edgelord was now giving a lecture on revives? Actually, now that she paid closer attention he seemed oddly familiar. Had she seen him before? She was racking her brain for answers before shrugging. He was probably some experienced trainer, seeing as he had the air of one, but she knew a lot of famous ones but this one was currently escaping her. Eh it would come at some point.

"Yayh, heahd somethin abeow' hahvin t' be caff'l weeth em buh' thyah good in a peench." The redhead commented, flexing and stretching her fingers to test how tight the bandages were before nodding. Freya was scarily good at this kind of stuff. "Evah thaw' of becomin a nuhss aw somethin Freya? naevah sayn someone sao good at fuhst ide." She would add offhandly without much thought as her attention turned to the Sneasal.

Now, she was still somewhat mad with this pokemon but most of that had evaporated due to its pitiful state and the rage that had been directed towards its previous partner. Thief or no thief, it didnt deserve to be abandoned like that now did it?

"Yah ok theah bud? thaht was ruff. Fuhst yah hahd t' foigh' Dusk heah thaen yah gawt abahndoned boy yoah 'buddy', buh' daon't wohry Oy took caeh of thaht fuckwih' rayl good."
I swear I’ll post this weekend. I was meant to last weekend but it’s been a busy couple of weeks.

Shaking her arm away from Kapoc, she shot him an annoyed look before turning to glare at the petty thief. There was still burning rage in that look but she was at least beginning to calm down...maybe. At least she wasn't just immediately jumping right back on him to continue the pounding she had been giving him, so that was a start. Tapping her foot impatiently as Kapoc sought an answer from Freya and the girl obliged in explaining the situation, you know since he could actually understand his sister as opposed to whatever gypsy tongued nonsense Steph sprouted.

Oh? What was that look on Kapocs face? He just seemed to have an eternal resting bitch face and eternally annoyed at everything thus far from what Steph had witnessed. So to see him so...livid was a change. Wait. Why did this look and sensation that accompanied it felt so familiar?

Oh right. This was similar to Freya before she snapped-well fuck.

"Oh come on naow, thaht's just nawt fuckin faeh is ih'?" The other two seemed bewildered by Kapoc for his sudden perfectly executed kick to the side of this thiefs head, which if Steph was a judge she was giving him 10/10 for like holy fuck was that a perfect technique and execution! Steph? Her exclamation of her annoyance came about because she was just pried off the man and forced to stop hitting him...only for Kapoc to immediately knock the fucker out.

"Eh whuytevah...fuckah desuhved ih'. Oy should thighnk yah at any ruyte, would be rude nawt t' thighnk those who haelp yah and ooll, buh' its nawt loike Oy lawst in the fuhst plyce yah qua-uh Kapoc." Came a final grumble of annoyance before she took her pokedex back from Kapoc and turning back to Freya and Basil-wait who the fuck was this other guy? She hadn't seen him before at all, when did he get here? Oh his name was Basil? The name rung something of a bell in her head, but at the moment she didn't care.

Looking down at her fists at the mention of being patched up, she also looked over at Dusk. "Nawt just me Oy guess, Dusk took a couple blaows in thaht bahttle. buh' he tuffed ih' eow' and wawn loike the chahmp he is, ine't ya?" Grinning she reached up to the Litwick that had somehow stayed on her shoulder that entire time and gave him a little chin scratch, which the Litwick seemed to appreciate. The best thing Steph had done for Dusk other than the battle after all! At any rate, she would just follow after Basil and Freya wherever they went.

"Oh and haow is thaht Sneasal fahin anywhy? Cahn't believe thaht scumbahg diied thaht."
I'll get to posting soon, been busy.
