I get the impression that it's best to put as much info into the interest check as possible, just so players know what they're getting themselves into as soon as possible.

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

@IceHeartAlright thanks. I'll try and make the distinction in the future. I'm also considering at least one technique involving the primary weapon he'll create, and will likely use one of the slots for it.
@IceHeartI have most of the CS finished, but feel free to let me know your answers to the questions above whenever you like. Sorry for not following your sheet code format that closely.

I'd say the CS is pretty much done save for the techniques and weapons. I guess the questions I have now would be along the lines of:

  • With Magic Materialization being a spell (one of the four available slots), should the weapons I intend to use it for be in the weapons section, or is that just for permanent weapons only?
  • Namekians already have a great deal of established abilities, like regeneration and gigantification. Would it be better to treat them as techniques rather than inherent traits, and what I don't have written down is what he's yet to learn as a namekian? Like: no regeneration unless I have it listed in his cache of techniques. I'm actually fine if that's what you want me to go with, I just want to be sure.
@IceHeart If I put my back into it, I should have the CS just about ready by Tuesday. Just a quick question though, since I'm making a Namekian, is it possible for me to use both Ki and Magic? He is a warrior type, so I'm not about to allow him to make dragon balls or anything major like that. What I had in mind was something closer to cannon, like how Piccolo could make things here and there, in this case maybe certain close quarter weapons. Needless to say, if you rather I focus exclusively on Ki based abilities, I can certainly oblige.
I'd like to keep an eye on this, as I've lately been interested in a DB storyline where I can play as a Namekian, something I feel the majority of 1x1 RPers wouldn't be that interested in working with for some reason. The intent to keep things orderly and accessible to everyone is very appreciated.
Pokémon Mystery Fusion?



It's Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, but with Fusions, you know: some pokémon merging together! For a long while the concept had been just a funny thought in the back of my head, but lately I've come to appreciate it as a decent enough idea to throw on here first. The thought did occur to me to set this up as a group RP, but I really doubt my efforts would yield better results than the last attempt at a PMD RP I've seen. Plus, I don't see myself having the patience for taking the lead of a group project of this kind. 1x1 may be more my speed though.

What has really inspired me to push this idea out there is the fan game Pokémon Infinite Fusion, which I'll likely be referring to (aside from the more obvious assets I appreciate from it) for the logistics in approaching the fusion mechanic. You may check out the wiki page here, for a reference of what I'm referring to.

I have given thought to a potential setting we could build off of if you want, one that lends itself toward accounting for pairs of pokémon having merged prior to "waking up" in the world, distinct individuals who indeed views themselves as such, as well as any two pokémon being able to fuse and even defuse under special conditions (items and so on).

Now even if you are okay with delving into this particular setting further, you should know that there's still a great deal of worldbuilding that can be sorted out, so feel free to mention what kind of scenario or idea you'd like for me to consider as far as pairings, characters and such go. We could even have our main characters be two separate pokémon that fuse together now and again over the course of their partnership. I know that one entity being shared between two players is quite uncommon, but it's something I'm willing to try out if you're feeling adventurous. And while I can't make any promises, feel free to suggest what partner pokémon I might play to make for the combination you're most interested in. I do intend to play multiple characters anyway, so I'll be fine either way.

This post may get updates as time goes on, but for now, I hope I've given you enough information to make up your mind on whether this is worth your time. Thank you for your time. :)
I'll bump this once more before I leave it for a time, returning in perhaps less than two years but we'll see.

Now I have to admit something about my third entry up there: I was at my wits' end trying to come up with a proper name for her for the longest time, such that I was only too relieved when I just sort of settled on her current one. And then shortly after I remembered that the robotic centauress in Overwatch has the same name save for two letters being switched. Now I'm just too tired to care, but I might want to have another crack at a proper name if no one wants to beat me to it first.

I had given thought to adding more selections up there, but the ideas I have for some of the characters I'm most interested in go a bit further than just their general character traits. For instance, I have this one story in mind in which it's essentially like the old show "Impastor", but I'm the small time outlaw hiding out and masquerading as a quaint fantasy town's priest and you play... just about whatever you want really, it's up for discussion. The whole thing is really niche, so you could probably guess why I'm not sure I should bother even mentioning it beyond this.

I'm still up for those fandoms I mentioned in the post above, so like always feel free to ask about them. For the time being however, just in case anyone vaguely familiar with Starbound needs that little extra to go on, then I'll pull back the curtain on the character idea I had in mind, as underdeveloped as it is.
