Gods of the Multiverse - A world hopping fantasy adventure

PREMISE

Since time immemorial, there has been an infinite amount of worlds. While some were similar, and others vastly different, one thing they had in common is that they were ruled over by Gods and Goddesses of some variety. These higher beings ruled over the lesser beings that called those worlds home, giving them instructions, gifts, and when necessary, punishments. However, most Gods would not be satisfied with just their world and would learn of the other worlds, of the Multiverse.

In time, beings began to travel from one world to another, bringing knowledge and magic with them. The Gods of these different worlds would not always get along, so soon divine battles broke out between worlds. These titanic conflicts would leave whole worlds destroyed, their pantheon of Gods decimated. After the destruction of far too many worlds, a treaty would be signed by the Gods, forbidding their direct involvement in the wars.

Instead, each God or Goddess would pick a Champion, a mortal from their own world. Bestowed a boon known as a Champion’s Blessing, these warriors would swear fealty to their patron God. Alongside other Champions who served Gods in the same alliance, the empowered mortals would traverse the Multiverse, doing the will of their God.

There would exist countless alliances of Gods across all of creation, each one with a different name. However this story focuses on Pax Celestia, a rather smaller alliance of Gods. Following a massive defeat against another alliance that cost it many Champions, the Pax Celestia is attempting to rebuild, recruiting younger Gods and new Champions. But amid this constant battle for dominance, a dark power grows, one stronger than any God alliance.

PLAYER ROLE

Each player will make a character who is a newer Champion to a God. As such you will need to come up with a Champion, patron God, and original world, as this is not fandom based. If players want to collaborate and say that they are from the same world, that would be fine, by I just ask that everyone has their own different patron God or Goddess. As servants of the Pax Celestia, these Champions would be traveling to various worlds at their lord’s command.

Prior to being picked as a Champion, all characters were exceptional mortals, whether they be a wizard, knight, or someone else of skill. They are further enhanced by their God’s Champion’s Blessing. This can be a weapon, armor, other type of item, pet or mount, or even an enchantment. Basically a gift from your patron that will help you stay alive.

As far as player race, I’m open to pretty much anything as long as it’s fantasy themed and not overpowered. I’m also really open on how magic works as each character is literally from another world. I ask that you don’t go overboard with it, and try to maintain sense and some kind of theme.

So is anyone interested in this? I love both fantasy and multiverse roleplays so I decided to mash them together. If anyone has a character concept I’d love to hear it. Anyways, thanks for reading through the whole thing.

Scout bot - Farsight’s design has him tend to be exploratory and prepared for any possible danger. As such he is often deployed into unknown territory as a scout, getting a lay of the land before other Maximals are sent in. Part of his scout design is self defense, so Farsight is skilled at using a sniper rifle and survival knife.

Beast Mode:

Gremlin Dog - Slightly smaller than the size of a golden retriever, Gremlin Dogs are somewhere in between a mammal and a reptile. Patrolling the forest biome in packs, these creatures are vicious hunters. With a set of razor sharp teeth, capable of piercing most natural defenses, and retractable claws that allow them to climb trees speedily, Gremlin Dogs are a deadly predator in the forest, irregardless of its smaller size. Gremlin Dogs also have excellent hearing and have amazing vision, able to see long distances and in infrared.

Personality:

Farsight is an explorer at heart, always wanting to see everything in existence. As such he was a long time member of the Maximal exploratory fleet, a fact that he prided himself on. Farsight respects the chain of command and believes in a need for order, otherwise chaos would consume his people, like during the Great War. He’s also a big believer in the unity of the Maximals and Predacons, as it strengthens Cybertron as a whole. As such he will treat pretty much any other Transformer with respect, especially if they are a higher rank than him.

Another aspect of Farsight’s nature is that he views Transformers as superior beings, buying into certain propaganda. As such Farsight tends to look down on other alien species, especially those not yet capable of space flight. In his mind, the needs of his people take precedence over the unevolved animals, not having a problem with taking one of their lives.

Background:

Created during an age of peace for Cybertron, Farsight was brought up on the idea of Cybertronian unity. As a scout bot, Farsight had little to do on his home planet, so he quickly joined up with the Maximal exploratory fleet. It was while serving on an explorer vessel that Farsight was exposed to talk of Cybertronian exceptional nature. Essentially Farsight was told that Transformers were the greatest beings in the universe and that they had the right to spread their civilization across the stars. Farsight quickly fell into this belief, as he helped discover new worlds for his kind to colonize.

It was while Farsight was out discovering new worlds that the Predacon known as Megatron rose to prominence. While Farsight was initially a fan of him as he espoused some of the great rhetoric that he was into, Farsight did disagree with dividing the Maximal and Predacon civilizations, as he felt that Cybertron was stronger united. Farsight’s views on Megatron were made firm when he returned to Cybertron and found out that Megatron and a band of rebel Predacons had committed various crimes before escaping.

Farsight would remain in the city of Iacon following this, as his tour of duty with the exploratory fleet had ended. He would believe that Megatron would be captured soon, especially when he learned that a vessel from the same explorer’s fleet he worked with was in pursuit. However, both Megatron and the Maximal vessel would disappear. This caused gossip to consume Cybertron, but Farsight paid it no heed. Instead he volunteered for the joint Maximal-Predacon mission to find the missing vessels, as he wanted to hunt down Megatron himself and prove that Cybertron was great while united.

So I figured due to today being May the Fourth, and I just saw the 40th anniversary re-release of Return of the Jedi in theaters, that it would be a good time to come back to this. So for anyone previously interested, or newcomers to the thread, perhaps you can come up with a character concept. Right now we have a potential Nautolan doctor and an Anzat noble, but that leaves a lot of character types still available. That’s all for now, and may the Force be with you.

More like he's from a world where the Soviet Union won the Cold War after creating an army of super-soldiers using the recovered body of Captain America frozen in the arctic. Piotr, would be a young activist that breaks into a government lab and is bitten by a spider injected with the super-soldier serum. Given powers, Piotr would become the Spider, a mysterious resistance fighter who plagues the streets of Moscow. I don't know, the concept just popped into my brain.

I would also be down for New Warriors. While I don't know a lot about the team, only reading the more recent run that finished up a few years, I am interested in them as I want to go through their backlog at some point. As far as characters, if I lean canon it would be a reimagined Scarlet Spider, or I could do something completely original.

Power Rangers: Scarab Squad

Sorry about the delay in responding. As far as colors go I kind of really want to go with orange. However if we are sticking to traditional Ranger colors, then I guess green would be fine. For my character concept I wanted to go with an activist girl who writes for the school newspaper, maybe becoming editor in her senior year. It would be cool if she was one of the first to report on the mysterious Power Ranger and Dark Ranger.

Worlds Collide: Earth Taking All Comers (A Hasbroverse RP)

JJ Oliver & Sparkblitz

Name: JJ Oliver

Appearance: Standing at 5’10’’ JJ is of average height for his point in the future. With a trimmed, athletic build, JJ is in great shape. JJ has a conventionally handsome face with tanned skin, blue eyes, and dirty blond hair which he keeps short. Clothing wise JJ is usually in uniform, but in his off times wears a lot of green. In Ranger form, JJ is coated in green, black and silver. The left side of his suit has the number three on it, but this is mostly obscured by the large golden Dragon Shield that adorns his chest. On one hip is a holster with a Deltamax Striker gun in it, while the other side holds the Dragon Dagger, his father’s legendary weapon.
Brief History: Born the son of Tommy Oliver, the greatest Power Ranger of our time, JJ had mighty big shoes to fill. From a young age, JJ was aware that his father and mother were Power Rangers, guardians of the Earth. As a child he wanted to be just like them, dreaming of becoming a Ranger. However, no new Ranger teams would take on the young man, so instead JJ put his focus on Space Patrol Delta, or SPD. A newer organization, SPD protected all planets in the galactic alliance, and did have its own Ranger team.

Upon graduating from high school, JJ decided to enlist in SPD rather than go to college. JJ was quickly accepted as a cadet, excelling during his training. In a few years he became a field agent, but not a Power Ranger. That all changed when the head of Earth’s SPD branch decided to put him undercover. Seemingly going rogue, JJ would become close to a villain known as the Witch. However his cover would be blown by his meddling father who tried to rescue JJ. In the end, the Witch would be defeated and revealed as Scorpina.

Following this mission, JJ would be placed on the SPD Earth branch B-Squad of Power Rangers. Made the Green Ranger, latent energy from his father’s damaged Master Morpher would create a new form, the SPD Green Dragon Ranger. JJ would serve as the Dragon Ranger for about a year before being given the mission of capturing an alien who was developing time travel technology. In the ensuing scuffle, a portal would activate, sending JJ to the Angel Grove of the past. This trip left JJ with partial amnesia.

The energy signature of the time travel would be detected by G.H.O.S.T. who dispatched a team to retrieve JJ. Taken into G.H.O.S.T. custody, JJ would remain aboard the U.S.S. Flagg while they studied him. Eventually they determined that JJ was not a threat. With not much else to do in the past until a way home became available, JJ decided to take a spot as an agent of G.H.O.S.T.
Employment History: Prior before coming to the past, JJ served as an agent of Space Patrol Delta for several years.
Special Abilities/Training: From a young age, JJ was trained in martial arts by his parents. This continued when he pursued a career in law enforcement. Under that training, JJ learned marksmanship and vehicle piloting.

Appearance: Sparkblitz stands at just under 15 feet, with a long and slender build. Color wise, Sparkblitz is black, red, tan, and white. He has a wheel on each shoulder as well as in his legs. He stores his energy staff on his back. Sparkblitz can transformer into a long and slender four wheel vehicle. This vehicle is a mix of a motorcycle and an ATV.
Brief History Eons ago, before the Great Cybertronian War broke out, Sparkblitz was an aspiring racer, trying to make his name in the Iacon Racing Circuit. The young Cybertronian would ignore the rumors of conflict that spread across Cybertron. As fate would have it, it was just as Sparkblitz was getting popular among racing fans that the war truly began. It would not be long until the Decepticon forces invaded Iacon. Like many celebrities, Sparkblitz would abandon Cybertron for the outer colonies. Ending up on Velocitron, Sparkblitz would become a regular of their racing scene for many years.

However the war wouldn’t stay contained to Cybertron, as the fighting spread across the galaxy. Those who had fled Cybertron and not participated in the war were forced to flee once more, this time farther. Sparkblitz would end up beyond the known regions of Cybertronian space, interacting with various unknown alien races. Sometimes he would be part of their racing scene, other times a pariah or beggar. Life was rough for Sparkblitz over the massive amount of time the war lasted. At certain points he thought of returning to his home space, picking a side in the war. But fear always led him to remain in the outer reaches.

After many, many years, the news would reach Sparkblitz’s region of space that the war was over, an armistice signed by both sides. Curious of what happened to his people, Sparkblitz would travel the massive distance to Earth, the planet where most Cybertronians had ended up. Wishing to help his people, Sparkblitz would follow in the steps of Optimus and Megatron and join G.H.O.S.T. However, the once neutral Cybertronian would face prejudice for his lack of commitment during the war and his apparent cowardice.
Standard Equipment: Sparkblitz has a staff that emits electricity at both ends. This electricity can also be fired as a stun shot.
