Hi! My name is Mistress Dizzy, or just Dizzy for short, and this is my thread.

A few things about me:
- I’m older so I only play with 21+. Not so much sexy stuff, I just don’t want to accidentally play with minors.
- I work full time so I don’t post all day. Usually I'm mostly active on weekends.
- I can be slow sometimes due to various reasons. Usually the aforementioned full time job.
- I like mermaids.
- 90% of my characters are African American. Yes, even for anime AUs, unless the story is set in Japan and the characters need to be explicitly Japanese. (and even then I *still* have at least 1 that counts) That said - if that bothers you or you feel as if you'll be obligated to comment regarding how unrealistic it would be to find a POC in such and such universe, I will kindly show you the back button on the browser. And if such unsolicited comments continue, they will be swiftly follow up by the back of my hand.
- I do not play canon characters. Too restrictive.

Okay, with all that out of the way, let’s get to plots and pairings. Those that are crossed off are currently being played.

- Star Trek? (possibly. I am dabbling, but I only have a spoonful of canon knowledge in the vast ocean of TV shows, movies and books. I also have a Klingon noblewoman I'm playing for a Discord server, as well as a 'homebrew' species.)
- Dresden Files - I have a fan setting, I guess? It's in LA, where the fake smiles, fake bodies, and fake confidence have given the White Court a secret stranglehold over the populace. The local Accorded Neutral Ground is an hole in the wall coffee shop that's owned it's plot of land since the Hollywood sign was just a blueprint...

"Alright. If it's just the two of us, I think I can handle it." Devika exhaled with relief. Not having a ton of people around on day 2 was definitely a good idea.

"So, I guess I'll just... watch you work?" She was actually curious about what Roxy did. "Maybe I'll learn something." She had to do something, so she started to needlessly organize the magazines. Maybe she could dust the table while she was at it. "So how many customers would you say you've got a day? I just want to be sure I'm prepared for when you do open the doors." Devika was desperately hoping their connection would get stronger soon. Otherwise Devika was going to have to be isolated in the middle of the city.

Well. That had been an adventure. Kassy stood, coughing in the exhaust of the bus as it took off, empty of the early students who had been on it. She’d never been on a bus ride that long. She groaned slightly and stretched, popping her joints reflexively. Humans were not meant to sit down for long stretches of time, she thought.

She gathered her heavy bags and approached the school, neck craning as she stared upward at the elegant building. It was a lovely place, full of brick walls and beautiful plants. It looked somehow older than it should have been. Once she was done gawking, she followed the flow. There were some other students here, and Kassandra simply traipsed behind them and hoped they were all going to the same place.

The crowd led her more or less inside the building, where she stopped at a extremely bored-looking receptionist’s desk to sign in and gather paperwork. Tucking that away into one of her many bags, she followed her nose to the scent of food. A late breakfast was better than none, and she filled her plate.

She hadn’t had but a bowl of cereal very early in the morning. Everything she owned or cared about was in her suitcases around her. Her stomach twisted slightly as she thought of her leaving home, for what may have been the last time. Her aunt had not bothered to drive her to the bus station, or even say goodbye. It was just another hallmark in their long and tested relationship. In a way, Kassandra was glad. No tears, no fuss, just take her shit and be done with it. To say she would miss the woman would be an utter lie.

But all the same, it would have been nice to have someone missing her back home. Some who gave half a damn.

Oh well.

At least there was food.

Kassy finished her plate of fruit and pancakes, then plugged her headphones into her phone and brought up a Queen album, almost silently humming along while she waited for something to happen.

Description: Kassy is full cheeked and plump, standing about 5’8. She has deep brown skin with short, curly white hair and sun-orange eyes. She usually wears feminine clothing and lots of jewelry, along with a favorite beaded headband, and a fleeting smile that many wouldn’t witness at first sight.

Personality: Kassy is quite shy around people she doesn’t know, and always seems nervous. Even in class she rarely speaks unless asked, and barely offers answers despite being more than competent in exams. It takes a lot of work to get to know her truly, but anyone who does will find a stalwart, caring young woman with a gentle heart and a strong sense of justice.

Crush: None yet.


Skills: Kassy’s favorite magics lie within illusions. She can already make herself invisible, and mask herself from sight and sound. She can make small illusions that she calls ‘distractors’ usually a fleeting shadow at the corner of one’s eye. She is also working on touch illusion, but can’t quite get father than a ghostlike tap on the shoulder.

Unrelated to magic, she is a strong, athletic swimmer honed by years by the ocean. She secretly learned staff fighting to try and defend herself. While she probably would feel terribly guilty hurting someone, Kassandra can fight for others.

Weaknesses: Kassy’s illusions can’t yet fool animals, as she has yet to learn to mask her scent. She’s also useless with electronics, cameras and the like as they’ll see right through her invisibility. Again, she is also very shy, and while not a coward at heart, is currently easily cowed when faced with violence against herself. Kassy seems very amateur compared to the bloodline she comes from, and it is rumored that she’s got some latent talent just waiting to burst out. Time will tell.


Brief History: To know the Keigwan name is to know Kassandra’s mother, Kaia. Kaia was one of the most powerful Tricksters of her generation, and could have taken any job she wanted. Instead, she set all of that aside and chose to marry an Aquamancer from a no-name family, and live out by the seashore. She enjoyed a quiet life with her husband and daughter for many years. One day, on a walk by the shore, Kaia disappeared like so many others.

Kassy’s father lost himself in grief after the loss of his beloved wife, and dropped his child off at the home of her aunt, promising to return one day. He never did.

Unfortunately, Kassy’s aunt was Kaia’s sister, and always jealous of the talent in the family that never came to her. She was a piddling trickster, barely able to conjure the most basic tricks, and was angered by the talent young Kassy already showed. In time, her jealousy and rage grew so great that she decided to snuff the girl’s talent one way or another. Kassy grew up with the notion that she was not good enough, not strong enough, and would never be. She also grew up with more than a few bruises.

Being shouldered off to the Academy was a godsend. Packing everything she owned and never planning to return, Kassy took the transportation to the school, desperate to escape.

Other: Kassandra sings like a honey-voiced angel. No one knows this, as she only sings when she's alone or thinks she is.
