It didn't used to take so long to recover. When I was younger I was told a kiss would make it all better. These days, by that logic, I'd need to be a porn star.

Might not have internet tonight. Travelling into an area I don't know well. My wifi hub may not have cell towers to use. Should move by the next day though.

Work is a little nuts. Long days, little time off. Going to be a little slow on replies. Bear with me.

The link above is a timeline of a Walking Dead type necrovirus. The spread does not even become apparent to the public until Day -5 (5 days before the start of the RP). Conspiracy nuts noticed something amiss Day -9. After Day -4 thing start to get pretty crazy. At the start of the RP there are 20 million zombies in the US, approaching 10% of the population.

This is what the group can expect as time marches on.

I am looking for literate writers who can manage 3+ decent paragraphs a day. (Yes, I understand RL happens. Give us a heads up.) I also understand that in conversations a short reply is better than rambling (my own bad habit). Just don’t make every post that brief. It gets hard to respond to.

Now then: Variations from the two links above. I prefer something a little closer to Walking Dead as to how it spreads. So … ignore the very early history. Basically I don’t want an airborne necrovirus that kills and reanimates. I didn’t like the story of P49. I want a bite to be required, possibly death. Initially death won’t do cause turning automatically. In fact, only about 8% likely. This will increase with tie.

VN08b
This is the airborne strain of the virus. It causes people to turn when they die. It's spread rate is incredible. By Day +13 nearly every human on the planet will be infected with this strain. The "disabled" percentages listed day by day will give the chance of such infection. Note: isolation in a bunker can prevent this.

VN08c - current strain
This strain is not airborne. It is only delivered by bite/saliva (so far as is known). Scratches are not enough. The bite must break skin enough to enter the bloodstream. It takes only a minute to circulate through the body. The disease may be resisted, but it is very unlikely.

Incubation 2-4 days
Stage 1 1-2 days Flu / Pneumonia like
Stage 2 1-3 days Disabled - bedridden
Stage 3 Death
Turn 0-12 hours

Setting

google.com/maps/place/Rockmart,+GA+30…
Initially, the setting will center around Rockmart, GA at the feedmill there. But this is not going to be a permanent site. This is where I have 3-4 ‘groups’ uniting, but with the threat of both human and unliving armies approaching. One of my groups has a military APC, but will abandon it in favor of something faster and not so much a fuel guzzler. There is a WalMart Supercenter just east of the feedmill, but by now it is getting pretty picked clean. There aren’t too many zombies in this area. But I have plans for a fairly large army of undead to enter the area.

Characters
Yes, you may make either a character, or small group. Most of my groups are only 2-4 characters. (One is larger, but with only a few names. They are 2D cutout characters, just extras. The convoy with the military APC came across survivors at a mission being messed with by some bad guys and put a stop to it.) Exact format is not set. I DO ask, however, for NO Animated gifs (or hide them). I have extremely bad eyes and can’t read around them.

Also, make sure you give an idea where your character (or group) is, how they are travelling, evading trouble if on the move, etc.

The one single trait I look for most in group characters is loyalty (or at least the potential). That is the trait that kept Walking Dead running so long as a TV show.

About Roleplay
You are allowed to use any knowledge you could have about zombies - ie Walking Dead show, etc. That doesn't mean your knowledge will be correct. But if you think it takes a head shot and that is working, why argue about it?
Well, it is tagged as small group. Sooo... I am at work right now, but will get to work building the RP. I am not overly fancy about that. Yes, multiple characters are allowed. I may add some extras as cannon fodder and gore - or be liabilities.
Yeah, that's the trick, isn't it. Need people.

This is what the group can expect as time marches on. I have yet to decide where the RP will commence. I am leaning toward NW GA.

I am looking to pair up my female non wiccan ... with a wiccan. My real world knowledge of Wicca is rather limited. Yes, I have had quite a few wiccan friends, but was honestly the outsider looking in. At that time I was in a relationship with one and wanted to understand their beliefs.

Anyways, I tagged this Advanced, but high casual works well enough.

An FxF would also work, but my character is hetero, so that wouldn't be a romance.

I tagged this both school and 18+ ... which we go with depends on the age. My character is designed as age 15-16 and having just moved to a rural setting. (She is leaving behind some very bad mojo.)

I tagged Slice of Life, but we CAN introduce some fantasy elements (like The Craft) if we have a plot in mind. I would prefer to stay away from very dark genres though. My character is recovering.

****************

Diane Matthews. She was the new girl at your school - a transfer student. The day she arrived she was dressed in clothes that looked like something she bought at Goodwill. She was dropped off at the school on her first day by a salvage yard business truck. This was caught on video by some of the more popular girls on campus who decided to have some “fun” by starting threads in various social media forums. They gave her the nickname Junkyard Jane.

Diane was a music student for her first period class. She had decided to keep her guitar for school locked up on campus in the music department. Someone broke in and filled the case with trash.

Now one would have expected a girl to break down after an incident like that. Not Diane. No, she was made of tougher stuff. She just took the guitar home and returned with another after the weekend. She also showed up dressed in a fresh wardrobe, complete with having pampered herself at a salon. Posters encouraging recycling showed up on campus with herself dressed up as a superhero posing with other superheroines and claiming the name Junkyard Jane. Perhaps the best one was with She Hulk. The caption read “Go Green. Recycle. There was website info at the bottom.

So who were you? She was a 10 and you? To her you would probably be invisible. And yet there was a chance. She didn’t seem to be trying to catch the eyes of any guys on campus. Maybe there was a chance for you.
