Well this is probably one of the games with the most players since a few games. The stats look simple enough, I don't see much of a problem with it.

La Ortija - SIMA Mega Corp Skycrapper Headquarters

A hundred screens can be seen in the walls and windows of the CEO office at top of the building, "La Ortija" , the tallest skycrapper in the whole metropolis of Lima if not in the whole south of America. Its position was just right off the shore, next to the island San Lorenzo where one could see the green cliff just above the sea level, over a hundred skycrappers could be seen from this place and it was all thanks to this corporation and the effort of its CEO. Enrique Francisco Castilla de Casales.

Over these last few twenty years, he had led the company through several crisis in south america, Asia and even Africa, selling simple yet effective weapons to the involved parties, but most of the time to those sides that would benefit him the most in the long run. As he walked to the window, he waved his hand and the whole screen that portrayed news all over the world, stock prices of rival companies and even his own manufacturing producing the weapons he would sell later simply vanished and allowed the sunlight to enter.

A sea overflowing with freight ships was all that Castilla wanted to see, some of those ships were probably even his and some not so much. Lately, he had seen a decrease in the volume of weapons shipped, so far it seemed that the guerillas in the Amazonas and other border had come to a somewhat standstill, but that didn't meant that the nations of south america would no longer buy weapons in the contrary, it was more as if they were going to prepare for further conflicts, however, for that to truly reflect on his sales would still take some time.

In the meanwhile, he decided to focus on two things. One to sell weapons and second to increase the demand of weapons.

[Servicios Industriales Maritimos]

Corporation Slogan: "A taste of salt and smoke"
Headquarters: Metropolitan Lima - Perú
Major Industries: [WEAPONS]
Minor Industries: [SECURITY] [HEAVY MANUFACTURING]
Starting Trait:
- Private Wealth: Company starts as a Close Corporation and with +1d100 Millions
History: Originally a state owned company of the Republic of Perú focused on servicing its navy and nothing more, it did its job well for around two hundred and twenty years, until the state needing money or perhaps wanting to reduce expenses finally sold it in a bid to Enrique Francisco Castilla de Casales, a man who had inherited his wealth and had decided to make use of it by joining the weapons bussiness, such feat was in no way easy when major defense suppliers already existed in most parts of the world.

Suffice to say that Castilla made his way either with his own money or witts, often supplying minor countries with cheap alternatives to the high tech and expensive defense systems offered by competitors.

A Map of Paraka

The history of Paraka starts way before the colonization of the continent by Euranians, it starts with the Atwantar Empire which had unified many of the fledgling kingdoms on the region, however, as soon as it reached its prime disease ravaged the empire and what remained was a shadow of its former self, which would have been conquered by the Euranian colonial powers of the time if not for the staunch resistance of its population and pretty much lots of luck, from invasion fleets sunk by a storm to a famine because of colonists not adapting quickly enough to the conditions of the continent.

Once it became clear that the Atwantar empire wasn't leaving, the Euranians decide to negotiate be it for treaty ports, labor, etc, which the Atwantar empire had to accept for it lacked much of the necessary strength to really expulse them from the continent, as such, the Atwantar empire tried to thrive in harsh conditions and it recovered to a certain extent, however, with time Euranian values travelled to Paraka and they were welcomed by the mixed population of the coastal cities, which soon enough prospered and started the freedom movements against the authoritarian council that had taken hold of the empire politics, it is enough to say that they won albeit at the cost of becoming almost a puppet of the Euranians who had supported said movement for more financial gains.

It was only until 1792 after a war in Eurania that kept most of the nations there busy that the protectorate of Paraka became the Republic of Paraka and thus declared itself independent, however, it was only after 1812 that the Euranians finally recognized Parakan independence and thus the modern history of Paraka started.

The Vashaqamak's The Affair of the Ticket Price

In light of a recent discovery in the mistake on the ticket price of the Exhibit, the ministry of finance quickly changed it on announcements and posters, thus making the ticket price 1 cent per person. Several posters have been changed and an apology has been given. The Vice-President who doesn't exactly thinks fine of mistakes has fired the persons in charge of the ticket prices and also apology in other meetings and asked the newspapers to inform of this mistake.

As well, as the funds for the exhibit had to be raised in $100,000 to counteract this mistake with PR campaign.

It is said that Vice-President was almost as red as blood when he was informed of the mistake and after hours of reprimands, continued the organization and rectified the mistake, even if at the cost of a couple of jobs.

OOC: Price of the ticket for the Vashaqama's exhibit was changed to 1 cent per person.

Alongside the new announcements, a listed was published announcing which companies had been invited to the exhibit.
-Paraka State Industrial Services[Arms][Paraka]
-Arsay Electric[Electricity][Paraka]
-Marsaran Studios[Moving Pictures][Paraka]
-Karqasia Auto Co. [Automobiles][Paraka]
-Eastern Pictures[Moving Pictures][Paraka]

The rest of foreign companies that wish to attend will have to pay a fee of $10,000 and pay for their own expenses.

Finally, this is how the Exhibit has been organized:
Entrance Fee for Foreign Companies: $12,500
Entrance Fee for National Companies, not invited directly: $5,000
Entrance Fee to natural persons: $0.05

All the money collected by the fees will be equally divided for the top three national companies.
The Republic of Paraka

The Vashaqamak's Industrial Exposition Announcement

It was on the newspapers, it was on the walls and most importantly it was being heard right at this moment, in the grand plaza of the republic, where the vice-president was announcing to the whole public that he had been given the honor of organizing the Vashaqamak's Industrial Exposition to be held from October to November of this year, barely a couple months away. After all, the exposition wasn't meant to be a grand event the likes of the Marsera World Exposition in 1899 or the Grand Exhibit of Vermaka in 1902, for it was meant to promote science and invention to a broader public, to the working class and everyone who wished to attend.

The price of the tickets was barely $2 dollars, less than 2% of the average national wage and although truth be told, the fair was paid by the citizens of the republic, it also meant that many more could attend in stark contrast with other private expositions and exhibits, which were meant to have a profit, although, sometimes they didn't achieve their goals.

Many companies were expected to attend both national and foreign alike. Be it arms companies, railway companies, the newest airship companies, the automobile company. For many this presented an opportunity like never before, for some it meant a waste of public taxes and for others the chance to present to the wider Parakan populace their inventions.

One of the posters for the exhibition portrayed the typical street's man family, all taken by the hand going to the exhibit and below it in big letters said "They will go see the future, will you?" . It had been made by artist Ñaran Iqtay, a not very well known artist but with a style that certainly appeal the common populace.

The Recruitment Campaign of 1905-1907

With Tensions rising on Eurania and with newly found political will to strenght the army, the minister of defense Ameyalli Coeget had been assigned to conduct a recruitment campaign around the country in hopes of having a big enough army to protect the peace of the republic, for the motto of the campaign was "Peace through Strength"

For the state of the army had long been neglected and many historians and contemporaries will agree that it was because the republic of Paraka had never seen a need for a big army, after all, it was isolated from the rest of the world by two large oceans and its two neighbours didn't pose much of a threat to the republic, however, president Armaq Talaqo had long been a man who wished to see the Republic strong and healthy, stable and prosperous, without corruption and without fears.

Soon enough, recruitment centers were established on major cities and thus the recruitment campaign started.
