Bart recoiled a bit at Alicia, not especially used to people speaking quite like that to him, at least not in a very long time. He closed his eyes, and inhaled, before looking back over to Alexandra, who'd kept laughing. He was almost concerned the woman has some kind of madness. While he was all for laughing with her at the start, this seemed a tiny bit... unhinged to say the least. Not that he could blame her, Bart himself was holding onto the flayed bits of sanity that he had left. He almost wanted to reach out to stop her when he saw her running out, but quickly saw that James, (That was his name right?) had morphed back into a man, which acted to relieve a tiny bit of stress. He saw Alexandra seem taken aback for a moment, but at this point, she was too crazy to call, so for all he knew she could have seen a butterfly.

He was contemplating heading out to join the others at this point, knowing there were no more wild boars to be feared. On one hand, it's be good to go out, talk to others, and go into what would hopefully be a nonexplosive situation. Having a moment of peace would help a lot for sure. On the other hand, if anything crazier happened, he might snap, and breaking down into a puddle of tears in front of people he'd be spending a large amount of time with would certainly be embarrassing. He didn't think he if was quite at that point yet, but god if he wasn't nearing it. Making a decision, he gingerly inched out, taking one last look back at Sophia, and jerking his head forward, signaling to follow if she wanted.

Bart started walking towards Alexandra, and squinted out into the distance, seeing some kind of glimmer, or distortion. Normally, some he'd right off immediately, but today, he knew it could be anything. He closer at it, but couldn't make heads or tails of what it was at the distance he was at. This made a stop for a split second; he did want a break from the weirdness, but he knew it would be pretty strange he he just suddenly turned back now. Instead, hew forced himself to continue forward, hoping against hope that things wouldn't get too strange. He just actively tried to look away from the shimmering light in front of him, still stealing a glance every few seconds, but otherwise, forcing himself to look towards Alexandra and Alicia. "So... Where'd The Hat run off to then?" He asked, making conversation. Based on her earlier comment, he assumed she must have a pretty good idea, "Are tours still happening?"

Adalene gave a surprised "Hmm." When she said that the husband had cheated. Whatever, her relationship drama wasn't her business, so she wasn't going to push. She was quite sure she'd find out everything in time anyway. "That's fine." She said following after her. "I um, didn't get your name though." She said, stepping ahead of her, and opening her own door. This lady seemed a bit hasty, but she was in a pretty emotional state, so she could understand that, she supposed. She stepped into her apartment, and looked back at the girl. "I don't have a home phone, but you can use my cell." She said, reaching it into her pocket, and holding it out for her.

She then pursed her lips, "Did you forget yours in your apartment? I could go get it for you..." She offered. If this guy really did cheat, and would have the audacity to give this girl a hard time, Adalene would love nothing more than getting to hand this guy his own ass. Plus, it'd give her more insight into what was going on, and she'd be lying if she were to say she didn't enjoy the drama at least a little bit. She looked back at the girls apartment, hoping she'd give her an excuse to head over there. It would certainly be more interesting than anything else she could be doing.

Martha Waters

Martha laid her pencil down on her desk, finishing up the last of her homework. It was tough, working in Japanese constantly. She'd been learning in school for the past few years now, and was almost conversational, but this was on another level. Her new school spoke, and wrote in it exclusively, and her host family, while having a passing knowledge of English, wasn't going easy on her. She frowned at the paper in front of her, confident she'd made several mistakes, but was unable to properly catch them. She knew she could go to her host mother, who'd seemed kindly and cheerful, but Martha has bigger things on her mind than homework. The Hex Night; The real reason she was here. She rose from her seat, and opened up her window. Yes, she needed to get out of here without alerting her hosts, and the window served her well in the past. She propped up her glasses, and gracefully slid outside, closing the window behind her.

She took in a breath of fresh, evening air, and quietly said to herself, "Alright, now let's find a place to get set up." The most difficult thing about this would be reconnaissance .She normally liked to perform hours, if not a whole day's worth, but as she would be actively hunted, that might not work out the best. She could, however, get herself to a defensible position, and lay a few traps for her eventual prey.

Martha made her way though the city, and thought as she went. She wasn't made for direct confrontation, at least not in the way some of her more spectacular "Sisters" were. Sure, she couldn't light a building on fire, or destroy a monster with but a thought, but she didn't need to, the way she saw it. Her powers were a toolbox, that if used correctly, would guide her though any struggle. She couldn't be snuck up on, and her reaction time was better than anybody else's, possibly in the world. Those two alone made her formidable, not to mention her signature. She smiled to herself, and slipped away into an ally way. Time to start planning

Bart gave Sophia a look of disbelief as he looked from her, to the boar that was previously James, and his very sharp looking tusks, and back to Sophia, while Alexandra broke out in laughter. "You're... not serious are you?" He asked. Having just died a few hours ago, he wasn't quite in the mood to do that again. Not quite else knowing what to do, he found himself laughing along with Alexandra. He wasn't going quite as crazy as her, but he did find himself buckling a bit, and putting his head in his hands, before shaking and straightening himself, a smile now on his face. "No, no I don't think we should do that, not unless Alexandra or I have super strength that is." He said. He always thought that would be a useful, but boring ability to have, besides the fact that it on it's own would cause more problems than solve, it was just too vanilla.

Bart continued to gaze out at the boar, when he noticed Alicia come into view. If anybody could handle this, surely it would be her, right? She was the most experienced Paradox here, to his knowledge. He stuck his head out the door, and waved out to her, a concerned look on his face. "Hello!" He called out, "I'm afraid we're a bit... stuck." Making his unwillingness to deal with the situation at hand apparent. He was by no means a brave man, and knew this was far out of scope for him. "Do you think you could maybe give us a hand? The Hat seems to have disappeared at the worst time..." He said with a smile. He didn't like seeming useless, but he simply wasn't able to wrestle down a boar. He knew his limits, and he knew he had to respect them. He looked between Sophia and Alexandra, hoping for their sake, and his, that they felt similarly.

Adalene frowned, "Well, I don't have a car, so I can't help you there." In truth, even if she had one, she wouldn't bring he up anyway, that would destroy her schedule for days. She paused for a moment, considering what she was about to do. Inviting a stranger into her apartment, especially with everything happening recently, might not be the best idea, but if she had to bet, this woman had nothing to do with any of her own worries. "If you have nowhere else to go, my apartment is open." She said, smiling. She really didn't see this girl as any kind of threat, why would she? And she was curious as to what exactly went down.

Adalene looked back towards the door with a grimace, "I can't imagine he's too nice, so I don't blame you if you wanna get as far away as possible though." Honestly, it made her more angry than anything that partners thought they could treat each other with any kind of violence, threatened or otherwise. If she were a lesser person, she might go in and scare the crap out of that man, but that was far below her. Her hand clenched a bit behind her back, as she shook her head. "I can promise I won't let him bother you though." She knew she could absolutely guarantee that, not many men could beat her in a fight, or even intimidate her, and she didn't imagine this man to be the type of person with the patience required for martial arts.
Stupid question.
Martha doesn't speak Japanese, how do I deal with this?

Bart smiled as Sophia took and drank the water, and in general seemed to calm down. He gave a sideways look at her, "What exactly was going on though?" He asked, very curious about the particulars of her ability. He didn't want to come off as insensitive, so he left the question hanging there. He glanced back at James as he was apparently preparing a second glass of water for Sophia. He took a small step to the side, to make room for him, and gasped as something impossible began to happen. To Bart's horror, he watched, paralyzed with a mix of fear and awe as the man in front of him began to transform into a boar. A scream erupted from his lips at the horror before him, before stumbling back and falling flat on his ass as the man turned boar ripped it's way out of the kitchen house.

Bart looked up at Sophia and over at Alexandra, and with a shaky voice said, "H-how? What? I.. I.." Grasping for words. What the fuck was that? He guessed it had to be an ability of some kind, but fuck is that wasn't absolutely terrifying. He flipped over onto all fours, and pushed himself off the ground. "Should we get... somebody?" He said, the worry evident in his voice. He didn't want to run off and leave these two alone after what just happened, or go out alone while James was running around as a boar. He didn't know human he was right now, and he didn't want to find out the wrong way. He inched towards the door, and looked hopefully at Sophia and Alexandra. "I don't think the others mentioned where they were going exactly, did they say anything to you?" He asked, looking at Sophia, knowing she was originally with another group before coming back in, shock still ringing through his voice as he was processing what he just say. He didn't hear any screaming outside, so he was relatively certain that wherever the others were, it wasn't near them.
