Arthur's first clue that Andy wasn't doing alright was her failure to respond to his inquiry, and his second, much more obvious one, was the massive bolt of lighting getting thrown at his face. Watching the bolt start to form in his fingertips, he knew a lot of pain was coming, and he was helpless to stop it, or even really brace himself. The first thing he noticed was the fact that he was no longer under the tree anymore, and was now floating in midair, as his skin charred from the raw energy coursing through it. He'd scream, if he felt able to move, but the electricity made it very difficult to do that.

Crashing onto the ground, he was lucky to not hear any of his bones cracking. As he was grounded, he briefly felt angry, but he was quickly conflicted on that. He really shouldn't have pushed her out of that tree, and he could understand her response. Still, he hurt, bad, and his ankle was throbbing. Right now, he had to avoid talking to Andy, or he was likely to explode on her. Looking weakly up at Eva, he nodded weakly. Apparently, Andy wasn't the only thing pissed at him, since that did just about nothing. "Can we try that again please?" He coughed, and when he was given his second, he gulped it down quickly. Feeling his burns and sprain fade away. He hobbled to his feet. His face was red, embarrassed not only from his injury, but from everything about the situation.

As he stepped through the portal, Bart gave a nervous look, worried for anybody that might not make it. James was disappearing when he left, so he could only assume he hadn't made it. An upsetting fact for sure, but he honestly didn't know what he could do about that. Perhaps if they hadn't gone to Cairo to search for their enemy, they wouldn't be victims of the collapse of things in Cairo, but there was no way for him to know that for sure. Turning back to the Watch, he quietly said, "Physically yes, I think so." He gave a look over himself, as if to check to confirm that a part of himself hadn't somehow gone missing.

If there was one thing to be thankful for, this place was much calmer than the disintegrating Cairo. That was probably one of the reasons he was able to hold himself together at this very moment. The other being him holding onto the hope that Faith had made it through alive, wherever she might be. He didn't think he could take the loss of the closest friend he had, on top of everything else happening to them all. He still had no earthly idea where they were now though, looking between the two trees. This place was odd, wherever it was, and he didn't suppose much would be accomplished by sticking around.

Time to run, and go through another portal, it seemed. Steadying himself, he took one last look around at the ever deteriorating Cairo. Things had gotten so bad, so quickly, to the point that it finally started to sink in exactly the magnitude of threat they were up against. It seemed reality was dying, he didn't have a better way to describe it. Attempting to fix something like this, with the resources they seemed to have would be like trying to fix a Ferrari with only spare parts in a junk yard. Technically possible, but a monster of a challenge that, even if they made all the right moves, would still require a good deal of luck.

Still, they had to try, even if the task was insurmountable, there'd be no point in just letting this come to pass. Watching Giosue go through the door, he gritted his teeth, and knew his time in Cairo had come to an end. Waiting for others to get through would do no good for him, especially considering the possible instability of this portal. If he got trapped here, he would surely die again, and he wasn't ready to do that. Taking one last look at the dying world around him, he followed after the Watch, and stepped through the portal, wherever, or whenever it might end up taking him.

Arthur squirmed as the vines wrapped around him, and laughed a bit as he soon found himself stuck, upside down. It was a little humiliating, but who would he be if he couldn't laugh at himself? As she struggled, he found himself thinking about what he could do to actually get out of this, not one to give up so quickly. Writhing, he managed to slip out, and land on the branch without falling down. Staggering up with a smile, he said, "That'd be no fun for you either, playing with no opponent would be boring." At that point, he knew another zap was coming if he didn't do something, so he did.

"I like my hair the way it is though, thanks." He then placed an arm on Andy's shoulder saying, "See you on the ground!" and gave her a shove off the branch, sending her falling to the ground. Dangling his feet from the branch, he looked down at the people. He was sure Eva was gonna try to wrap him up again, but he got out pretty easily, so he wasn't concerned with that. He hoped Andy was fine, not wanting to have actually hurt her. He did call down, "Are you alright?" watching to make sure she could get up without issue.

Things were getting chaotic now, the ceiling disappearing, the smell of sulfur, and the return to life of the previously dead.He gave a worried look to Andromeda as she mentioned this sort of thing happening when time was damaged in her timeline, whatever that meant. That on it's own sounded patently horrible, but Gio compounded the hopelessness of the situation by saying that it would be more accurate to describe the situation as one of a much larger scale. Time itself seemed to be dying, something that could not be good news for the Watch, given how closely he related to the concept. He worried what might happen to Gio in the wake of all of this.

Watching him attempt to open a portal, and gritted his teeth. He had no idea what opening a portal would look like here, but he knew that the consequences of attempting would pale in comparison to the prospect of all of them being faced head to head with a Destruere with no real armaments. He readied himself to hurry through the portal, should it open; as far as he was concerned, he was among the last hope for the timelines, and he couldn't allow himself to die here. Should they die, all could be lost, even if Faith succeeded in her mission. Things were getting progressively more and more fucked, and he had no idea how to deal with it.

A lot of things happened very quickly, and very painfully. As Kristin was grappled, he was electrocuted, and he did not like that one bit. Taking a knee from the pain, another spark zoomed past his head, lucky for him. As he stood, he watched another bolt glade towards him, and locked eyes the demigod attacking him, shrugging off the bolt like it was nothing. "If you throw another lightning bolt at me." He said, drawing up his shield, with and even tone in his voice, "I'm gonna have to stop being nice." It was at that point the forth both came and he winced in pain. "Fine. Mean it is then." He said, staggering forward.

With that, he ran to the tree housing Andy, and tried something he'd never done before; climbing it. This was hilarious to watch. The twelve year old hugged the tree, and flailed his arms against it with confidence. However, confidence aside, he fell on his back, unable to get up the tree. Huffing, he glared up at her, stood up, and tried harder. Effort seemed to be the missing ingredient, as he found his way up the tree this time, breathing heavily as he did so. On the same level with Andy, he smiled and said, "Hello, My name is Arthur. I'd very much like it if you stopped that." He was being playful, knowing the lighting wasn't meant to offend, and that this was all part of a game. Still, there was only so much electricity a boy could take.

As James shifted into him boar form, bard looked on with a mixture of bemusement and surprise. Andromeda riding him at this moment seemed like a choice that might have negative repercussions. If she had fallen off, she could've gotten hurt, or if there was anybody in the barracks, this would force a confrontation. However, he was not going to try to tell the two of them what was best for them; he'd just be here to watch on, and be ready to act if something went wrong. Trudging along the path, he hoped that them searching for a Destruere was at least actually a step towards them preventing the End Times.

As the voices of the others drifted towards them, he immediately peeked up to the sound of Nancy; the Emendator actually being here was very good news. Them being all together, sans Faith of course, was such an important step. Not being scattered to the winds would mean they could actually present a unified front at whatever was to come. Then, he heard Alicia, a voice of a person he had thought was departed from them. Could this be more weirdness from the Haze? Or somehow a past version of Alicia? He didn't know, but this conflict between what he thought to be true, and what appeared to be stopped him from running up immediately. Instead he stuck close to the group, and continued advancing with them. A hopeful smile spread across his face though, if Alicia was alive, it'd be good to have their friend back.

"Sorry if I'm defenseless." He said, making conversation as they trudged along the creek. He was sure she knew that he was not exactly in a position to help too much, but either way, this would open the door for some tips on how to actually keep himself safe and be useful. "If I may ask then, any advice on protecting myself?" That would surely help both her and himself, if he could be a fast enough learner to actually implement any advice given.

As he walked, he looked over the water, and wondered if this was the place for them to be. He figured that children of Poseidon might be able to hide very well in the water, but then again, maybe there weren't that many Sea godlings. He hoped that they wouldn't be too vulnerable if there were in fact any of those halfbloods around, but then again, he was with Kristin. He was sure that if there were any major risks to them right now, the child of the Goddess of Wisdom would account for them.

Bart weighed Andromeda's point that somebody may need to keep him safe in the case of a Destruere attack, were he unarmed. That was, to him, a more solid point; he couldn't expect people to take care of him in order to keep everybody else safe. Something like that would quickly devolve into a "Who will gaurd the guardians" type of thing, and that wouldn't end well for them. Moreover though, he did still have the weapon the Gil gave him, so to say he was totally defenseless would be a mischaracterization. "I perhaps should have noted that I do have my knife on me at the moment, so I'm not totally defenseless." He shared, knowing that keeping the group aware of their present resources would be a crucial component for maximizing their chances of survival.

That being said, Gio was right, that they should focus on getting to the weapons first, instead of debating how to split up a hypothetical cache that was to short on resources. Out of what he could wield that was any good at range, he had options. Between spears and bows, if they were maximizing for power, he had to assume the deadlness of any kind of bow at range exceeded that of a spears, once you accounted for the reusability of the weapon. That being said, the spear could sort of double up, and keep him defended if something got close, though he supposed his knife might do a better job of that than anything else.
