So that husky is miss Avery's dog. A fleet of birds soared pass Kurokono's sight as the red haired girl walked away. Something's odd... The wandering swordsman turned to observe at those birds. He had learnt to pick up the subtle signs after facing assassins hired by slavers a few times over the past few weeks.
And he was still alive after all this. He wasn't sure why, but its better than getting dragged down to that King Yama guy. "I'll be back in a bit,"
Kurokono headed for the back alley. He did notice the stray dogs barking more ferociously than usual. And as expected, he has company. He adjusted his single edged sword that lies beside his waist, ready to draw at any instant. Its better to have the assassin settled at a more quiet place. "Show yourself, I can sense your presence." Kurokono let out a piercing look, as a flock of crows went fleeting away from the slums, as if it is running away from something. Way more birds than usual, this guy isn't a small fry...
Two figures emerged from the shadows, a man with a wooden staff and a girl with a longsword. Both of them are roughly the same age as him, but there is something a bit different with the girl, she has cat ears just like the other girl that he met in the slums. The asssassins wore grey robes, made as if to blend themselves with the alley.
Two on one isn't very fair, but I'm in no position of complaining... Kurokono picked up a small wooden piece of the back alley that is obviously snapped away from a crate. As the crows went shrieking away, Kurokono charged at them with his right hand holding his wooden piece and his left still holding his undrawn crossguard.
"Al---" As Kurokono expected, they've hired magicians this time. The 'ronin' jammed the wooden piece into the man's mouth with one strong thrust before he could even finish the incantation. The wooden splinters crushed down his throat, puncturing his neck and killing him.
Not letting down his guard, Kurokono turned to face an oncoming downward slash from the demihuman. With one swift step, he slammed his sword handle right onto her wrist. The nekomimi loosened her grip while the swordsman stepped briskly to the side to avoid the sword that is still moving from gravity.
"Tell your boss to appear to me personally, I'm sick and tired of this mousehunt. You can address me as the ronin Kurokono." Unsheathing his sword, he pointed the tip in front of her face, kicking her fallen sword further away from her reach. Fortunately, that girl quietly scrambled away. he doesn't like to kill people like them.
"Whew---" Kurokono cleaned the blood off his wrist. "Will have to dispose this corpse, a messenger would work better than sending severed heads..." He personally doesn't like dealing with those mess, but he hoped that he would lure their boss out after this. And turns out he got too tensed up, for those people being stupid enough to cast magic at close range. And here I thought I'll see people that fights in battlefields, killing magicians with a wooden stake, how did I end up fighting vampires...?
"Al Huma," Kurokono casted an ice blast, crushing the corpse into unrecognisable pieces. Using his sword, he chopped away the stubble of ice that got stuck together with his hand.
"Sorry, took you guys long enough--" Kurokono ran back to the group not long after, his right hand was somehow encased in a piece of ice in the middle of the day. It was melting naturally still.
Klaus was glad that the trolls are as stupid as usual. Stupid enough to attack someone from the wrong side. The only thing good about them is their brute strength. But, their attacks are so blind & predictable that they look like a still target to the white haired knight. And here she thought the fiendish forces have grown. That overcomplacent mindset was what she would have years ago, but the foul shards are at loose, borders had been threatened, and now orcs could even make a surprise attack here.
Pieces by pieces, Klaus disassembled the troll's right arm, her piercing blue eyes maintaining sight towards the one-armed troll. She tensed her grip on the handle, trying to treat the fight with the troll as if she was fighting Sir Tyaethe. Though the difference between the two is like the sky and the earth, she was trying to be alert for anything out of the ordinary. "Troll meat don't taste very good." As much as a glutton Klaus is, she wasn't going to feast on those disgusting stuff again.
Thick smoke, Janet was to blow everything within apart with cannon. But cannons leave behind too much soot, I'll have to use a better explosive: myself. With a few uses of Burst Steps, Janet sent herself up into mid air and crashing down into the thick smoke. She continued adding explosions on her heels to add as much speed on this landing. "Heaven's Lance," Janet's whole body ignited upon the activation of her strongest technique. An enormous fireball comparable to the tavern explosion engulfing the front of the ship, clearing the black smoke away mercilessly.
"Who are you calling a bitch?" Egwene crackled her knuckles as she looked at Zarin whose lifespan is about to shorten throughout the training. The winter training proved useful. It wasn't the toughest training she had ever encountered, but it has a huge depth of content to learn. And there a whole new world of possibilities with her weapon. And her weapon's true form is as disgusting as she thought. For it to have a holy affinity...
And Dissonances, the winter of trying out her new attained abilities on Zarin 'accidentally' has worked very well. With one draw of her sword, Egwene's sword whipped out towards the dissonance, the blade stretching out and biting it literally whilst emitting its iconic scream. With one twist of her wrist, she added the force of her attack.
Egwene had heard from the <<not black sword>> Gradon that they have to be taken away quickly. Well, can't be helped, time to call him out... She retracted her sword quickly like a grappling hook that was still on the dissonance, sending herself up in the air. "Xosun!" Egwene's vessel vanished as a four-headed silver hydra appeared behind her, the four necks sending itself towards each dissonances.
Klaus shook the blood off her blade after making short work of the group of orcs, her pair of eyes fixated against those walking siege engines: the trolls. She knew better not to wrestle them in brute strength. Not to mention, they don't respond to pain. Fortunately, that works both ways for them, they are pretty dumb on the bright side.
Klaus extended her sword forward, the tip pointing a bit higher than her usual stance. The gigantic trolls arm are as good as a Zweihander. She angled her blade with a slight slant, with the intention to receive the trolls attack.
The troll swung its arms down her. Klaus raising her sword, had the troll's arm slide against the side of her blade, gently redirecting the troll's attack away from her head. The troll's right wrist that had missed the intended target had severed off in an arc at the end of the first exchange from the one slash from Klaus. If it was a fight with a human, the battle would conclude like this. But they're trolls... She has to disassemble the troll bit by bit. Their head are far away from her sword's reach, the arms are the easiest target right now. Its as troublesome as working on a wooden puzzle, she has to take out the pieces one by one before she could literally get to the heart of this.
"Really, you guys annoy me to no end..." Janet sent her spear straight down the dying pirate to shut him up amdist the rising smoke. "I don't know what the smoke would do to us, but we'd better get back to the deck, a smokescreen is a pain in the ass to deal with." Janet walked up the stairs leading to the deck, to get a better view of their current situation. Her hands were clutched on the spear, ready for any oncoming enslaught.
Here is Egwene's Bankai Spirit, took longer than expected, caught a bad fever.
Vessel: Egwene's Vessel is a longsword in its Dormant form. When active, her longsword would glow white, and it will scream and laugh literally. After the winter training, her longsword can change into something literally alive and able to extend and bite enemies like a Hydra's neck.
Name: Xosun Gnarledgalls Title: White Gleam Gender: Male Element: Light Rank: B Height: 10m , each head is 1m Weight: The weight of seven swords
Appearance: Xosun is a Four headed Hydra, it gleams silver in colour. Each of its neck move individually, all four of them can stretch to bite their prey. The brown eyes are narrowed, as if its closed all the time. The mouths have four sharp molars. Despite its size, it has thin legs, as if it grew only to support itself inland. Its grey wings are like a sword crossguard, built more to glide than flight. Beware of its deadly bite!
Personality: Xosun the White Gleam has a foul personality despite the holy affinity. Even the notorious owner has quite a disdain to him. He is a wild spirit that is very disobedient. It is very sadistic, preferring to butcher up enemies, and if intelligent, might use its power to keep them alive.
Powers: Healing Bite(s) - Xosun is able to apply healing power to its bites. Unlike Healing Sword, the receiver will feel the bite, and it can be used for torture. It can heal up the the number of heads Xosun have.
Four Swords style - Xosun's necks can be used as blades that cut & slash enemies. Or thrust enemies with bites.
"Rocket punch," The Legion Pirate that grabbed her spear had just saved her from taking the extra effort to send another piercing attack, as her other free hand blasted him away like a rocket. She then made way to stab the remaining legion pirates normally, piercing their neck and their chest.
But, what annoys her is that there is no response from Kyy or anybody, her voice did not reach them. In short, both of them are stranded from the group. "We'd better get going, gotta regroup with those bunch, as long as we do not take the Captain's head this wouldn't be over." Janet went ahead to finish her job.
