If the Earth is flat, then how does one explain tens of thousands of people all across the globe in various space agencies not ONCE leaking that it's all a lie and everything's flat?

Bio

I'll be honest, I don't wanna put a bio up cause I'm afraid I'll scare people off by writing plainly, but not really interested in taking a bunch of time for am that formatting.

So if ya wanna chat, do send a PM!

If you're a friend of mine and wanna see the bio filled, and wanna write a truthful description of yours truly, lemme know! A description from a third party is alwayd the best kind.

Juran Border Fleet

The Marine shuttles approached and docked with the unfamiliar ships, using adapative airlocks that fit around and then sealed against foreign locks, before a dozen soldiers from every shuttle marched onboard. Each one was wearing light armor, with shoulder-mounted pulse lasers, carrying forearm-covering scanners on one arm and the handle to an unactivated energy weapon in the other. They fanned out, scanning for anything amiss for ships of the sort- major warheads, such as nuclear, thermobaric, thermonuclear, hydrogen, or antimatter sorts- and interesting technology. They thoroughly combed each ship, working in groups of two, cross-referencing the scanning data from each Jura with the others of each group, their Shipmaster watching the map grow in realtime. Meanwhile, the rest of the Juran fleet watched, passively, waiting for a report from their soldiers before they did anything else.

In the distance, the speeding reinforcements met up with and joined the border fleet, bolstering their numbers from measly to lowly.
@CowboyCommando
Modern day: See the EM Drive.

In the roleplay: The Jura use sublight drives on warships. Plus heavily optimized and evolved FTL drives for fast intergalactic travel. The Jura can use antimatter as a source of energy- fusion energy can't beat antimatter. And while not every ship is antimatter, many of them are supported with antimatter-related technologies. Antimatter has a habit of messing up the norm.
@o0V0o
That's my point tho. We have railguns now. As experimental prototypes. By the time the Jura went to space, cannons had been replaced by railguns because they were, in comparison to space-age interstellar-capable tech, simple and easy to produce and use. I figure this will be the case in space. Especially since cannons fire rounds that are so comparatively slow that spaceship would be able to dodge it really easily.
@Lucidnonsense
Copy-pasting.

I guess you could ask a mod if they could move it.
I have interest in type 1 and 4.
Just gonna throw this out there:

Humanity is NOT a spacefaring species. Tech hasnt developed enough. However, we do have working theories on producing antimatter, and working designs for railguns
Do note: unknown entities in orbit of any major Juran planet is a fire-first-ask-questions-later zone. Especially considering that the major planets have a large tract of newer, freshly colonized sector of space between them and neutral/unclaimed territory.
I hope he lies. I wanna see understrength Jurans vs outgunned Rurnians. I mean, if the Rurnians managed to prove themselves worthy of respect and independence by beating off the superior Jurans, then the Jurand would be more inclined to vargaining, rather tyan dominating. Why crush strong spirit, when you can harness it?
@Oblik

If the Rurnian territory is a round sphere, then the Juran have encompassed it to cover nearly half of its surface area.

The Juran can be both very command-and-conquer and surprisingly stand-offish.
@Oblik
Ah, for the sake of accuracy:

The Juran know the Rurnian's language because they've been spying on them for ages, and have considerable experience with learning alien languages. Meanwhile, the Rurnians have never ventured out of their space (as you said), and thus would have no idea who the Jurans are... The Juran sent a message to them using Rurnian language, and so they wouldn't have even the slightest sample of the Juran language.

Just something to consider- you can't know what you've never seen or heard.
