‘…’ Valerie did not reply to Claire’s apologies for Ralia’s actions, merely turned towards the bets now. She frowned as Claire put her bet on Grassball, but refrained from commenting on it. With all that done, it was simply a matter to wait for the race to start.
The call for the race to begin sounded off…
And the absolutely first thing, out of the gates, what happened was that both Empress and Zodiac spun and unleashed a Drill Peck each at Dread Divers, who called out in pain as he was hit and was launched backwards, straight into a panicked and surprised Lucky who was hit by the sudden missile that was the hit Dread Divers.
The only Dodrio that actually ran for the goal was Grassball.
Dread Divers quickly got up, glaring with all his force at Empress and Zodiac with all three heads… and then he Thrashed himself into combat, Empress and Zodiac meeting him with stride. A fierce fight with Drill Pecks, Trash and Tri Attacks flew off in various directions, with an excited audience that somehow relished in that it was a battle and not a race, while a panicked Lucky somehow snook off and took off after Grassball, quickly catching up.
The smoke settled… and Dread Divers still stood. Empress and Zodiac both lay fainted at his feet. Then, Dread Divers took off like a dark bolt towards the front line, after Lucky. Visibly straight after Lucky. Lucky noticed, and with a panic in all three pairs of eyes she jumped off the race-track, hiding at the wall. Dread Divers dismissed her as unworthy, and then dashed after Grassball. Dread Divers easily caught up with the shiny Dodrio, much faster in his strides. If Dread Divers won, Valerie would still be the one to win the bet. Dread Divers, in all his violence, aimed in a Trashing kick at Grassball’s back…
And Grassball tripped on her own, meaning all the force of Dread Divers’ destructive Trash kick went straight over her back at full speed. Because of the angle of the kick, Dread Divers flew off with a panicked shout, the force of the kick that did not impact carried the confused Dodrio way overhead and into the wall on the other side of the race-track, crashing into it with enough force to cause a Dordio-shaped hole to crack open. Dread Divers hurt himself in confusion! Dread Divers fainted!
Grassball stood up, shook her three heads, and waltzed over the finish line.
Claire won 10,000 coins!
A massive amount of cheers erupted around the audience, apparently thinking this was the greatest show in quite a while. Valerie, meanwhile, just watched with somewhat empty eyes while Claire no doubt had some form of reaction. Eventually, Valerie simply sighed, and then turned around as if to leave. Before doing so, she opened her coin case and dumped an additional 10,000 coins onto the table next to her.

‘Congratulations. It would seem you have won. I’ll be taking my leave for today. Tonight, you’re the Queen of the Game Corner… whoever you are,’ Valerie said, because Claire never introduced herself. With that, and with a Fletchinder on her shoulder, Valerie walked to leave. There were numerous people, those same fans of Valerie, that were looking at Claire with some degree of awe now.
‘I can’t believe it…’ ‘The Queen… lost?’ ‘Who… who is this girl?’
They sounded an awful lot like Claire had won in something more than just a game of chance.
Also, because Dread Divers had KOd Empress, Zodiac and then himself, the Dodrio races with be called off for the reminder of today, attraction closed, look elsewhere.

Worldedge City
A rush of energy flows with the wind that breezes through the alleys of the city. Somehow, you feel lighter, like some strange weight has been taken from your shoulders. Looking up, tall, massive structures, structures seeming to defy gravity and common sense grows, stretching high into the sky and far down across the cliffs. The people look calm, focused on their duties and sprawling in their number, holding a vital position in all the businesses of Isson. The design of the streets are narrow, illogical and unstructured, feel like they would be easy to get lost in, yet it is as if you’re being guided by fate’s hand and you’ll arrive where you were intending to go. In the distance, always watching, the peaks of a distant mountain rises. You are now in Worldedge City.
Isson’s largest city. It grew into place at both sides of Mt. Edge as efforts were made to dig through the mountain and join the northern and southern landmasses, it was known as two different towns until the use of Abras as public transportation method within the city was widely adopted and the city grew to become known as one single entity. Widely accepted is the idea that a mystical energy of some form within Mt. Edge surges around the buildings, calling Psychic Pokémon towards the mountain and therefore the city. People living here have easier time feeling at ease with the world, and the laws of gravity doesn’t apply as they maybe should to the buildings around here. From this would Isson’s most successful city grow to be, at the place where two or more worlds connect. So was Worldedge City named.
It should be noted that being called a “Worldedge Resident” has some negative stigma attached to it. If you are one, you’re interpreted as a lazy individual who has it easier than the rest of the world, happiness coming naturally to you and you probably see yourself as superior to the rest of Isson, and you might not be entirely sane or yourself due to constant exposure to the energies of Mt. Edge. Of course, this is a stereotype that most people recognize and can see past, but there is no smoke without fire, so to say. There those who are very distrustful of the energies of Mt. Edge and would rather never subject themselves to it. These particular dislikes compounded and grew strong enough in some people that the Crossing was created just south of Worldedge City just so those individuals could get past without entering the city.
The city is comprised of six different districts. Three districts on each side of Mt. Edge, stapled on top of one another by the way of leaning on the cliff sides and mountain as well as giant pillars, taking advantage of the strange physics around Mt. Edge. Exits out of the city are on the middle districts of each side. Each district have their own Pokémon Center and Pokémart, but otherwise have their own unique features.
Connected areas: Route 10. South of Worldedge. A farmland employing multiple psychic Pokémon from Mt. Edge to help with the crops. Route 13. West of Worldedge. A slightly disturbed route, which attracts electric Pokémon due to the proximity of the power plant. Mt. Edge. The mystical mountain at the heart of Worldedge’s unnatural existence. Few people actually cross its fabled tunnels, most just teleport past. Route 18. East of Worldedge. A calm stretch of land going from Worldedge to Witchpeak, part of the Allmass Cycling Circuit.
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in cities~ 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the city to any of the connected areas. 350P if you need to Abra to the other side of Mt. Edge for it. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Places. Visit any of the places in the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things.also 6.3. Any of the notable places unique to the various districts. 7. Abra Teleport. 350P, and an Abra will teleport you to the other side of Mt. Edge.

Entertainment District
In the depths of Northern Worldedge City, common sense goes out the window. Given all the buildings on top, few actual lights come down here even during the day, but all the blazing lights in this unnatural city-scape more than make up for it. Plenty of the skyscrapers holding up the Commercial District above have some form of advertisement, and each open door opens a new possible way to spend money in these depths of entertainment, probably with some form of Pokémon logo. Down here lies the most famous and populated Game Corner on Isson, where thousands of P are being wasted every day, and houses for unofficial Contests or Battles for money and prices are sanctioned and bet upon for the enjoyment of viewers and participants. It truly feels like if one never got bored, one would probably never run out of things to do down here… assuming the wallet didn’t run dry, that is.
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Game Corner. Only play with as much you’re willing to spend! 2. Countless restaurants, stores, cinemas, show-houses, amusement-parks, whatevs. You can waste the rest of your money here, on whatever you want! 3. PokéMania! Do battle for the enjoyment of the viewers, and have sudden strange rules applied to every battle! Fancy prices~ 4. Contest Clarity. Forget all ranks, here we do contests for the show, and the show alone! Oh, and for cash prices~ 5. Deep Dark Depths of Worldedge. This city feels like it goes on forever! How far does it go…? 6. A place you’re too young to visit…
Commercial District
Squeezed in-between the Residential District and the Entertainment District lies the Commercial District. It’s a long, winding corridor of tight buildings with many bridges and storefronts, and it all leads up to the Worldedge Department Store, the biggest Pokémart in Isson. If you somehow cannot find what you’re looking for there, then you’re probably all out of luck. It isn’t all there is here, however. Among the corridors is the House of Trades, where people can sit at computers and request trades with all other people that have ever been there, as well as the Psychic Train that uses certain teleporting abilities to achieve transportation to a distant town. Or, if those don’t reach where you want, you can just call a Freecape Ferryman and s/he’ll fly you there, assuming you have the cash. Also here, lies the store where the infamous inventor Russel sells his products. Perhaps, if you’re lucky, the fool’s things actually work for you? No guarantees, though!
Notable Places:
1. Worldedge Department Store. Products from all over Isson gather, right here. The largest store of Isson. 2. Worldedge Trade Station. A place where people can come trade Pokémon and items with people from all over! 3. Pokémon Groomer. For a price, you can have some professionals treat your Pokémon like royalty~! 4. Psychic Train. Runs along spiritual tracks to lead somewhere else in the world. The trips are one-way only. 4.1. Justroad City/Gentlevale City/Witchpeak City. 500P 4.2. Bigfjord City/Freecape Town/Raremine Town. 1000P 4.3. Redcoast City/Rainrock City/Pureplain City. 2000P 5. Freecape Ferrymen Phone. A phone linked to call a Freecape Ferryman, who can Fly you somewhere in the world for a considerable price. 6. Food Stands. Hot dogs to ice creams. Pretty good. 7. Inventor Russel’s Store. Russel, crazy inventor. Who knows what he might have for sale? He’s also known to give random stuff or quests to trainers passing by, giving them cash as incentive.
Residential District
On the absolute top of the northern districts, you’ll find the place in Worldedge City with the freshest air. While the building architecture still might require a raised eyebrow, the atmosphere is healthy and playful, many families making their life here on top of the Commercial and Entertainment districts, where they work. Schools and little parks for children to learn the ways of Pokémon exist, and there is nothing saying those older cannot use them too. The Little Cup stadium is here, allowing the children to watch and perhaps participate without straying too far from home. Yet, among these buildings live a few of the most noteworthy individuals in Isson. Like the rumored and powerful Crone, who has to be battled by a strong trainer every once in a while or she will stir up trouble, or like the empty mansion that supposedly belongs to the Champion…
Notable Places:
1. Practice Park. A little park in the residential district where children can catch low-level Pokémon and train for the real thing. 2. Pokémon Day Care. For people to leave their Pokémon while they’re doing something else. Some people don’t like PCs, so~ 3. Little Cup. A small stadium for battling. Levels 15 and lower, only. 4. Champion Estate. The Champion supposedly lives in this mansion here. It looks abandoned. 5. Creator’s Apartment. You instinctively know where this place is somehow, despite nothing advertising it. It’s visually an ordinary apartment. The door is open. 6. House of the Crone. Signs say “We appreciate people challenging her to keep her from being bored, but only if you are confident in your strength.”
… Then there’s Mt. Edge, splitting the city in half, the ominous peaks having something unfriendly in their jagged shapes to deter any potential hiker wishing to take on its tunnels…
To reach the Northern Districts, you’ll need a Abra to teleport you or walk through the tunnels of Mt. Edge.
Information District
No, they’re not exclusively witches around here.
A common and calm area of Worldedge City, this district attracts those who would fancy themselves scholars. They may seek to share their knowledge at the multiple cafés spread about, read up at the library, check into the museum or any number of things. There aren’t that many things here that would keep a Pokémon Trainer dawdling around for long, and most residents here are fine with that. It is still quite the spectacle, walking on the bridges between these pointy buildings, finding the streets and wondering how you're not lost yet in this maze of stairs and bridges, never touching the ground. Far above lies the Mystical District and there are plenty of stairs up, and down below is the Industrial District… It may feel a bit enclosed. Most notable in this area is most certainly the famous Professor Dunstan’s lab and residence, which he mostly leaves to his companions as he spends a lot of his time in the other lab in Raremine Town as well.
Notable Places:
1. Guide Booth. Because finding your way in Worldedge City can be a challenge! 2. Gossiping Cafés. If you want to hear the useful kind of gossip, sit in among the intellectuals. Ask and you may be surprised at how much you can learn! 3. Sir Know-Em-All. A famed Psychic. If you can think of a person, Sir Know-Em-All can tell you where to go to meet them! 4. Professor Dunstan’s Lab. A legendary researcher of Legendary Pokémon, do you have reason to seek his counsel? 5. World Library. With the backing of Professor Dunstan himself, this library has all the information you could possibly seek… probably. 6. Isson Museum. Don’t feel like travelling to all the corners of the world? Don’t need to, the museum has gathered up the noteworthy things from all its corners! 7. Move Tutor Mansion. A gathering-spot for those talented in teaching Pokémon moves they wouldn’t normally learn.
Using elevators or teleportation Abras, one can easily access the other districts around Worldedge City, so here’s the other options.
Industrial District
There is no way this place can have screwed-up gravity and emotional influence without companies trying to use it for their own gains. The factories of Worldedge City are far below the Information District, down at water-level, where at the base of Mt. Edge countless machines tumble and toll for the continued success of man- and Pokémon-kind. Being below two other districts the Industrial District is naturally dark, even during the day, but countless lights shine it up and the workers do not mind one bit. They have their own marketplaces, their own little residences and they certainly earn enough to make their own lives when it comes to that. But, among the factories and warehouses are those that stand empty, and one might have to wonder what’s actually inside them sometimes.
Notable Places:
1. Factories. Produces everything from Pokédolls to furniture, and who-the-heck-knows. 2. Abandoned Factories. Produces everything from Grimers to street thugs, and who-the-heck-knows. 3. Warehouses. Storing items from factories, some more well-used than others. Some opens by keycards. 4. Request Center. A certain camp of individuals that can take your requests for Pokémon or items you want, and they might come back and provide them for you. Sounds easy, right? 5. Sketchy Entrances. … The heck are you doing down here? They hid these things down here for a REASON, normal people wouldn’t normally ever need to see them! 6. ???. Trigger a “random” event. Not sure why you’d be walking down here, but. 7. Claire Specific: Entrance to Factory. Uxie showed a path into a not-so abandoned factory.
Mystical District
The tip and top of Southern Worldedge City, here the power the mountain provides is enough for certain buildings to float in mid-air. Assisted by Psychic-Pokémon, the upper echelons of the city contains a significant price-tag for those who’d wish to live here and so filters the more common men to the levels below, yet there are activities that draw trainers up from the depths. First and foremost is the Pokémon Gym, floating above their heads, and also the Worldedge Floating Stadium, the largest and most amazing of the multiple stadiums in Worldedge City, where the most epic of battles in the city are fought and watched. Truly, these streets so high above the rest leave a certain impression as one walks here.
Notable Places:
1. Pokémon Gym. Worldedge City Gym. It’s one of those towers floating in mid-air… You need to fly to get there. 2. Worldedge Floating Stadium. Worldedge’s biggest stadium, floating over the city. Have Minor (level 25-minus), Middle (level 25-50) and Major (level 50-plus) cups. 3. The Villas of the Rich. Not that there’s much you could potentially do with them, but they’re here. 4. Orlando’s Spiritual Dojo. A dojo focused on discovering one’s spiritual self. Often takes trips into Mt. Edge. You can join an expedition for protection, or challenge them! 5. Marilyn’s Divination. Tell her where you’re going next, and she can divine your luck and what to look out for when there! 6. Gym Leader’s Home. … So, those who can’t get to the Gym themselves are sometimes known to wait for the leader here. It’s a little frowned upon.
‘Aww,’ Jamie made a little disappointed noise at that Eryn didn’t actually know where Mawiles came from. ‘Guess I can ask the staff, though!’ Then there was the little part about sharing contact information in case Eryn finds something about those rocks. ‘Oh. Yeah, sure! I hope you’ll find something, then! I look forward to hearing from you again!’ Jamie said, excited.

Adrian indeed bolted when Eryn started lecturing him, along with a frown and a click of the tongue. So, he was off, leaving Eryn lecturing thin air. Later, though.
‘I wasn’t celebrating early! I knew I’d lose to the next Pokémon, I was just celebrating having taken down at least one Pokémon…’ Mason defended himself with a sigh. Then there was the part about the Frozen Cave, and the question about if he did mining. ‘Well, er, not extensively. I’m not cut out for physical labour, you know? But I did find the bell in the ice. Which is weird, aren’t those bells a relatively recent invention, in comparison? Eh, I don’t know,’ Mason finally said, and probably stood up to walk off somewhere about now.
Against Wilhelm’s Magnemite. Eryn used a Potion, which regained around half of Kylie’s health, but then another Thunder Shock bit off around 30% of her max health. Kylie then went in to bite. Bite was the stronger move, but this was offset by the fact Kylie was no Dark-type, while Magnemite was an electric-type doing electricity… but that was in-turn offset by that Kylie managed to Critical Hit Magnemite with one fierce Bite, as revenge for that previous Thunder Shock! After that, it became a pure Thunder Shock VS Bite battle, on roughly even terms… However, in the end, Magnemite’s best stat is its Special Attack and with decent defense, while Kylie’s special defense wasn’t as formidable, so after an arduous battle Kylie fainted first. Magnemite was about to basically faint, however, and would be knocked out by whatever Eryn sent out next.
‘I know, right? I’m pretty proud if him!’ Wilhelm said when Nuzleaf came out, the Grass-Dark type ready for battle.
So, without Kylie’s Taunt, how would Eryn start out this battle? Continue with the same strategy, just remove the first part? If so, I can just edit in here.
‘Huh? You mean you’re actually blind? Those sunglasses aren’t because you’re supposed to be cool bad guys?’ white-haired guy asked, looking towards the video.
‘Don’t be fooled!’ red-haired guy called. ‘It’s probably prepared deflective evidence! Like Team Amethyst would go out on missions DRESSED as Team Amethyst members, right!? Being in disguise makes a lot more sense!’
‘… Yeah! You’re right! They probably paid people to dress like Amethyst members and then filmed them! And we DID catch them hunting dragons! Makes sense!’ white-haired guy nodded.
‘Y-you’re just grasping at any straws to accuse us, aren’t you!?’ Vivia complained at them.
‘Quiet! Come quietly! Gastly, Hypnosis!’ red-haired guy called, pointing forward. With that, Hypnosis and Thunder Wave headed for Vivia…
‘Iip!’ Vivia yelped back, closing her eyes a bit as the waves headed in… and Goomy frowned (as best a Goomy can frown), and called out. ‘Goomy!’ With that call, Protect blinked into existence, a white barrier erected which deflected the waves. Vivia blinked a bit in realization as she’d been protected.
‘Darn, they’re defending themselves!’ red-haired guy told, about the mere act of raising a barrier.
‘As if Amethyst would come without a fight! Let’s go!’ white-haired guy called… yeah, no, no way to escape this!
‘G-geesh!’ Vivia sounded annoyed, now. Taking out a Pokéball to join the battle. ‘Venonat, go!’
So. JoJo and Venonat VS Gastly and Mareep. Realizing the threat of a Psychic-type against his poison ghost without a ghost-type-move, Gastly was commanded to Hypnosis at JoJo immediately. Because of the time for the waves to get to him, JoJo successfully duplicated himself with Double Team, successfully dodging the waves, while Venonat managed to dodge out of the way of the Thunder Wave heading for her! Venonat countered with Disable at Gastly, successfully Disabling Hypnosis! Since putting the enemy to sleep was Gastly’s whole plan, the enemy panicked a bit…
Gastly shot a cloud of Smog at JoJo, while JoJo replied with a Confusion! Despite Double Team, the smog managed to collect around the correct Ralts, causing Super-Effective poison-damage against the fairy-side of JoJo, while JoJo shot a Confusion that made the entity of Gastly recoil and take heavy damage. Basically, both Pokémon did considerable damage at one another. Meanwhile, on the other side, Mareep Thunder Shocked Venonat… but got itself Supersoniced in return!
Then, luck took a heavy turn, because not only did Gastly hit with the next Smog, the next Smog became a Super Effective Critical Hit at JoJo! That became too much, unfortunately. JoJo fainted. On the plus-side, that last Smog made Vivia realize the threat of the opposing Gastly, and commanded Venonat to use Confusion on it, and so the bug used its Psychic capabilities and struck another Super Effective blow against the ghost, and given how fragile Gastly is two Super Effective blows was too much for it and Gastly fainted! Meanwhile, in its confusion, Mareep managed to charge into a tree and hurt itself in confusion!
Skylar now sent out Paradise, while the red-haired Virtue grunt sent out Spheal. There was a blink of ‘hold on’ when that happened.
So, while he’d use Rollout against most Pokémon, he did know his type match-ups, and commanded Spheal to use Powder Snow against Paradise. This did not happen before Paradise sent Razor Leafs into both Spheal and Mareep, dealing Super Effective damage to one of them! This is when Mareep shakes off Confusion and attempts to Thunder Shock at Paradise, but mid-move the faster Venonat calls Disable at Mareep and prohibits the electric sheep from casting bolts! Spheal called a Powder Snow on Paradise, however, which hit her and caused some terrible x4 Super Effective damage! Paradise is a sturdy girl, though, and took the damage in hand, and just replied with another Razor Leaf, which with another Super Effective hit took down Spheal and did more damage to Mareep! That, combined with Venonat doing another Confusion on Mareep, took the sheep down!
Then Grimer came out. On his own. … Paradise Stomped and Venonat Confusioned, and that’s the end of that.

‘G-gah!’ the red-haired one jerked back as the last of their Pokémon fainted and was returned to the Pokéball.
‘H-how did they-!?’ white-haired guy asked, confused.
‘Y-you haven’t heard the last of us!’ red-haired guy called, pointing at them.
‘Th-the higher ups will hear about this, and then it’ll be OVER for your little schemes, you hear…!?’ white-haired guy called… and then both of them dashed away in all haste.
‘Ooogh… I can’t believe them…’ Vivia just said, shaking her head at them where she still held the umbrella, and holding Goomy close to her. ‘Thanks for defending me, Goomy. And thanks for fighting them off with me, Skylar. And thanks, Venonat, Paradise, JoJo,’ she told, first to Goomy, and then to Skylar, and then to the partaking Pokémon. ‘Goomy!’ Goomy called out, happily enough, and Venonat returned to her trainer, happy enough too. With that done…

Route 3
Route 3 is partly covered by the Silent Forest, but a path has been made through the trees for people travelling by the northern path from Rainrock down to Highhill and onto Pureplain. It is a fairly decently travelled road, as it’s the main road from Pureplain to the other cities of Isson. But, that doesn’t change that it’s almost constantly under a heavy downpour from the many clouds known to gather in the routes around Rainrock City. The atmosphere is constantly damp, thanks to the rainy weather. Chances are large that Pokémon preferring a rainy day will be found in this route.
While there’s likely a road for vehicles, the route for travellers is much different. With the proximity to Highhill, there’s actually a fair amount of hills in the area, and the route goes up and down. The path itself is fenced in with wooden fences and stairs up and down the hills, following those would lead to a fairly easy traversal to Rainrock City. But, step outside, and you’re officially in Silent Forest. The path is mostly cobblestone and stairs. The trees are mostly green with leaves but some blossom in pink or stranger colors. And of course, plenty of Pokémon if you just stray slightly from the road.
Due to the high amounts of rain and vegetation, few people live on this route, and besides the route itself there’s little in the ways of civilization. Just a very long, very wet route, with two splits. One near Highhill Town going deeper into the forest to the Silent Shrine, and one close to Rainrock east for those heading to Route 4 and Mt. Strength or Stillwood Village. Regardless… the rain will feel like it ends very suddenly, in either of those directions. But it has been like that for so long, people have just accepted it. “It rains on Route 3”, “water is wet”. And so, reality continues.
1. Find Pokémon. Feel free to specify searching for a specific kind, if so. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. There should be some here and there. Note, some may challenge you, regardless. 4. Talk. There’s some travellers traveling along the rainy route. They can be talked to. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Team Virtue members. You could, like, follow them. Or something.

I see,’ Jacques said, having gone down on his knees next to Amelia on account that she’d fallen to the ground. ‘Sylvia, the girl with the Seviper, claimed it looked like Angelique had Cofagrifus attack you, which your teacher then defended you from. If so, that’s a grave offense on her part. Other than that… we didn’t even know Darkrai was sealed there. Makes us wonder why Angelique knew, or better yet, why Team Virtue of all people apparently knew. What else do they know that we don’t? Hmmm…’ Jacques questioned, crossing his arms, looking troubled.
Amelia decided to open the Pokéball given to her by Angelique put Jacques in an alert state, and then Amelia clutched her head in pain as she heard the message. When she returned… a Pokémon stood between herself and Spiritomb, one which actually was the very same as one Joshua had.
Pokédex Entry #461 - Weavile, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. They live in icy cold regions in groups of four or five, using symbols they carve into into frozen trees and ice to coordinate and take down their prey. Meals are carefully divided between the members of the group.
Jacques was where he was, though he had a serious expression and held forward an open Pokéball. When Spiritomb didn’t do more…
‘… Weavile, return,’ he called the Pokémon back and adjusted his hat. ‘Just in case,’ he told, simply.
With that, then, Amelia got to her feet, Jacques offering his hand to help her up if so needed, otherwise he simply stood up along with her, looking at her observantly as it was clear she’d obtained new-found determination. He listened to the words she said, and part-way through that he pulled on his hat over his eyes for a bit.
‘No adult should force a trial upon a child if the child doesn’t want it or doesn’t know they’re taking it, especially if it leads them into a clash between Legendary Pokémon. If ever you don’t desire to play along with her schemes, I ask that you call an adult,’ Jacques said. Now, for gameplay reasons, I don’t want you to have an Elite Four’s phone number in your pocket, otherwise he’d totally have offered his.
Then he raised his hat again as Amelia asked about the person in charge of the PC system, which simply caused Jacques to chuckle a bit, then looked at her with a sly little smile.
‘Why, for your particular group of trainers, that would be Professor Kalmia herself. She wanted to be able to examine the Pokémon in their state within the boxes, in order to further her own Pokémon research. She’s a young Pokémon Professor still, yet to find her own personal field to specialize in, but she does have a bit of a flair for the technological side. You do have to understand, though, the limit of six Pokémon per person is in place to limit the firepower each individual trainer can muster on their own, and also because it was the decided number for competitive Pokémon battles. Without this limit, hostile trainers could have raised armies on their own, stubborn trainers might try the quantity over quality approach to battle, and we couldn’t have that. Still… perhaps Kalmia could work something out?’
And that’s about that. She’s currently in the Bug Garden of Raremine Town.
Raremine Town

Raremine Town is a moderately large, bright town on the edge of the only desert in Isson. By some twist, the largest mineral deposits in the land is located right under the desert, making it an attractive place to build mines. From that, Raremine Town naturally sprung into being as a merchant town on the edge of habitability from where the mineral could then be delivered to the rest of Isson. The temperature is hot, sun blazing down on this land where plains slowly become desert, the atmosphere dry and unfriendly… yet, life and trees blossoms among the buildings of Raremine Town.
The ground is still the grass from the Vast Plains, with buildings on top of them. The modern houses stand tall with plenty of architectural skill put into them, tools for building and living sold inside the houses. Everywhere, one can see workers walking about, but they’re happy workers, with their families living close at hand in the town and with the finest equipment available. Oh, and of course, plenty of Pokémon that assist with the finding of ores and such! The trees, which appear to have been planted and grown all over town by the residents themselves, gives plenty of homes for local Pokémon to live.
Overall, it’s busy, with people walking and talking all over, an active town indeed.

They can give tips about the desert! 6.5. Research Lab. For archaeologists, those who want to talk to Dunstan and those who want to resurrect fossils. 6.6. Stone Store. Where all the stones of the Desert Mines or Frozen Cave eventually end up! Lots of evolutionary and other kinds of stones! 6.7. Bug Garden. A garden within which bugs thrive. Vivillons can be hired here for tracking down the Mythic Oasis! 6.8. Warehouses. Because the things they mine here needs somewhere to be stored. This includes Ancient Pokémon, apparently, as some of the warehouses are pens.
Connected areas: Route 6. The Vast Plains open up to the north of Raremine. The shorter paths lead to Route 8 and 16, while west far enough leads to Lakewatch Town. Route 7. The single rocky desert of Isson, it connects to the Desert Mines, the Old Tombs and to the Mythic Oasis.
So, it turned out Throh was on dramatically lower level than Erza’s Pokémon.
Shadowfang got hit with one Power-Up Punch first, but ran by Meditite then to go strike at the Biding Throh. Between Princess’ Gusts and Shadowfang’s Tackle, Throh took too much damaged and fainted under their unified assault. … Unfortunately, then came Meditite and slammed into Shadowfang from behind again with a Power-Up Punch, sending Shadowfang flying, fainted. Then it was Meditite VS Princess, where Meditite had +2 attack due to Power-Up Punch. However, in this battle of distance-fighter VS close-combat fighter, Meditite floating after Princess couldn’t land a good hit on her while Princess just did Gust, after Gust, after Gust.
Finally, Meditite fainted, and Princess was around 63% health left.
Shadowfang grew to level 15! Princess grew to level 15! Erza was victorious! Erza gained 2P for winning!
‘Oooooooooooooooouch…’ Charline sounded out, grinning a bit.
‘What was that about “eating him”?’ Dale asked with a smirk.
‘I may have held back too much~’ Charline sounded out, mildly playfully. ‘Whelp, back to punching punching-bags with me~!’
‘Heh, my turn,’ Dale told.
And then, during the battle…
Both Erza’s Pokémon actually held the speed-advantage against his opponents. Meaning, Croagunk just suddenly blinked as Flora unleashed a cloud of paralyzing powder over him… unfortunately Croagunk’s Mud Slap meant Summer missed Confuse Ray, the glowing ball of confusion-inflicting flying past the frog!
Confuse Ray flew on through the crowd and hit a random Hitmonlee… who blinked in surprise as he was delivering a flurry of kicks into a punching-bag. Confused, Hitmonlee stumbled a couple of steps aside, and then continued with the flurry! … Not realizing he was aiming it straight into the wall of the already breaking building! Hitmonlee’s feet had already created numerous holes and cracks in the wall when he was jumped by numerous shouting humans and Pokémon trying to stop him from damaging the building any further…
Regardless, missing Confuse Ray meant Croagunk wasn’t confused when he- when he couldn’t move due to paralyzation! Though, then Summer took a heavy hit from Power-Up Punch from Makuhita, which also raised Makuhita’s attack. That one hurt. So, next they shot Stun Spore and Confuse Ray at Makuhita! This time, both of them hit, Makuhita ending up Paralyzed and Confused both…
Makuhita grinned. Guts boosted his attack further due to paralyzation! … He just needs to hit!
Croagunk managed to move despite paralyzation and shot a Mud-Slap at Flora, that hit and did regular Mud-Slap damage and reduced accuracy a little!
Then Makuhita aimed! He wanted to slam Summer with his Guts- and Power-Up Fist- infused fist of super-power! He directed backwards, aaaaaaaand-!
-Fell over in confusion and slammed this awesome power straight into the floor! The massively powerful blow split the floor-plate apart, sending cracks in all directions and leaving a huge Makuhita-fist shaped indent! Critical Hit! … Against the floor!
‘Why do trainers keep using confusion as a weapon against us!? It keeps making our Pokémon damage our own building! Hahahaha!’ Hector laughed about it.
So, Makuhita did HEAVY damage against himself in confusion, due to how powered-up he was. Still, the battle wasn’t over yet. Both Summer and Flora had been Mud-Slapped, Croagunk’s only damage was being paralyzed, and Makuhita was still heavily powered up, despite Confusion, Paralyzation, and heavy damage.
Pichu came out, and darted using his best stat towards Zygarde. Zygarde, with ferocious speed, lifted his front legs and stomped into the ground. Pichu jumped, we’ll say, and managed to escape above the sand-shattering attack to land upon the dog’s skin and gave it a nice little Sweet Kiss. Confusion curled through the dog, as did paralysis because of Static, paralysing on contact, and some Leech Seed energy passed to Pichu. Zygarde basically immediately knocked off Pichu and slammed down with an awesome Bulldoze, but Dawkin had already called back Pichu to exchange for sending out Wooper, who took the Bulldoze instead, but then got back some Leech Seed health.
Zygarde’s next motion was to stumble and knock his head into the sands, taking damage in his confusion. Wooper shot a Water Gun at him, and Leech Seed drained him extra. Zygarde now looked exhausted and damaged, not much left.
But Zygarde locked his eyes onto Wooper, growled a bit, and then charged for a Dragon Breath! … Except, he forgot to open his mouth in confusion. Zygarde blinked a bit in surprise, and then… the dog promptly exploded into numerous pieces in an explosion of purple dragon fire that came from within!
‘Aaaah! Zei!’ Florrie called out in panic.
Now, a Pokémon exploding would normally be pretty horrific to witness… but, there wasn’t any of the usual byproducts, like, internal organs, or whatever else an actual exploding living being would have produced. Instead, what flew about was…
Small, clearly alive little green things that landed a bit here and there where they felt like. Only one of them seemed really alive, having flown straight upwards from the place where Zygarde had stood, and then landed straight down, only to slowly rise up and look up at Dawkin.
‘… Zy?’ it asked Dawkin.
Then it was promptly snapped up into Florrie’s embrace, before she went after the next little cell that was crawling off in random directions!
‘H-help me gather them up!’ a rather alarmed Florrie requested.
Well. Regardless. He’d managed to beat Zygarde, here, anyway.
Cacnea grew to level 15! Pichu grew to level 12! Wooper grew to level 14! Dawkin was victorious! Dawkin gained 522P for winning!
Eventually, no matter if Dawkin helped or not, the Zygarde cells were eventually gathered up and Florrie brought out a green object resembling a truncated octahedron, which she put the cells inside. She breathed out a bit in relief when they’d finally been gathered.
‘… So, uh. Who are you? Why does your machine thing know of Zygarde…?’ Florrie asked, eyeing Dawkin suspiciously.
Dawkin's Cacnea came out and took Dig pretty well, decreasing the damage of the blow from underneath considerably. In return, Cacnea managed to throw her Leech Seeds onto Zygarde, the dog twitching as its health was being absorbed.
‘Oooh! Grass-type… that means… Dragon Breath!’ Florrie commanded, and the dog spun around and breathed a massive blaze of purple fire at Cacnea. It hurt badly, despite being Dragon-type and not fire. Cacnea used Absorb on Zygarde, but the dog’s part-dragon typing meant it was somewhat protected against that, and Zygarde committed to another blazing Dragon Breath, and Cacnea hadn’t recovered enough damage to survive another one of those. Cacnea fainted.
‘K-kih… Leech Seed… I need to do this, quick…’ Florrie said, turning to face Dawkin’s next opponent.
Due to Leech Seed, Florrie will favor the weaker Bulldoze over Dig, as it’s a single-turn move, and use it against Atlas, Tyrunt or Pichu if any of them is her opponent. If against Wooper, though, Florrie will have Zygarde use Dragon Breath, which will still take a hefty amount of health due to the power of the move. Florrie most certainly sent out a powerful Pokémon for Dawkin to face, but Leech Seed was slowly sapping away the dog’s health, making Florrie go all out…
Vivia looked at Skylar, eyes wide and hands somewhat shaking as she let Skylar inspect Goomy, who in turn was looking at Skylar in mild confusion. And then…
‘Iip-!?’ Vivia made a frightened little noise when Skylar’s tone changed. Aaaaaaand then she shouted to her to show her where she found Goomy. ‘Aah-!?’ she stumbled back a bit, pulling back Goomy until she’d properly processed what Skylar had actually said, Goomy shaking a bit from the sudden movement. Then, she blinked, and actually understood what she’d been asked.
‘Ah. Yes! Sure!’ Vivia called out, apparently alright with this, getting a smile and regaining some colour to her expression and some determination. ‘J-just, like, bring an umbrella, maybe!’
Umbrellas could be bought at the exit towards Route 3, for 50P a piece.

“DON’T LET YOUR CHILDREN HOLD DRIFLOONS!” - Sign at the entrance of Route 3. There are some Bellsprouts just outside the fence just rooted there looking around, and some Shroomishes resting or moving about with frowns on their faces.
Pokédex Entry #69 – Bellsprout, the Flower Pokémon. A carnivorous plant, it traps and eats bugs to eat. It can root itself deep into the ground to drink, or uproot itself to move. It’s skinny body is extremely flexible to avoid attacks, and its speed with its Vine Whips at prey are said to be blindingly fast. It loves hot and humid places.
Pokédex Entry #285 – Shroomish, the Mushroom Pokémon. It lives deep in dark, damp forest where it eats the composted soil and fallen leaves. By day it remains still in the forest shade, by night it moves to eat. If it detects danger, it can spout highly toxic spores from the top of its head, strong enough to make trees wilt.
However. Skylar was going to go past the edges of the route. He was following Vivia, who was calling him to walk off the beaten path. It was a journey down a steep forestside, on the way down to the waters to the east…
‘There’s a couple Carnivine up there, so make sure they don’t… catch one of your birds, or so, not that I think they would..’ Vivia cautioned, pointing for any birds that may be out. Not that it was needed. Hanging from the treetops was a couple of the open flytraps, awaiting prey.
Pokédex Entry #455 – Carnivine, the Bug Catcher Pokémon. It walks around on its tentacles in search of a tree branch where it can dangle down to lay its trap. It attracts prey with its sweet-smelling saliva, then chomps down on it when it enters its mouth. It takes a whole day to eat captured prey. Commonly found in marshes and wet forests.
Eventually, they came down to the waterside. Alike Highhill Town, Dragon Lake stretched out far, but here there was a bunch of thick forest hanging about at the water’s edge hanging out, and there was the constant downpour of rain from above. Floating in the water just outside were a couple Lotads…
Pokédex Entry #270 – Lotad, the Water Weed Pokémon. They live in clean ponds and lakes, where they float with their large leaves above the surface, and they serve as ferries to smaller Pokémon. They rise climb ashore only in search of cleaner water. If it’s dehydrated, the leaf will wilt.
… No Goomy’s to be seen, though.
‘It was about here… hey, Goomy?’ Vivia asked, holding an umbrella in one hand and had Goomy on her palm and a bit of her arm leaned against her stomach. ‘Could you help us find your friends?’
‘Goom…’ Goomy said, sounding really unsure.
‘E-eh? No?’ Vivia asked, unsure. So, seems like they were looking on their own. ‘W-well, it’s a rare Pokémon! We might be looking for a while…’
Seabreeze, with the use of Keen Eye, would catch sight of something, though. It wasn’t a Goomy. It was a small lizard of a Pokémon, attached to a tree high above them, silently blending into the foliage and simply watching them. However, Seabreeze’s eye saw the Pokémon, and could in turn point it out to Skylar. If he did…
Pokédex Entry #252 – Treecko, the Wood Gecko Pokémon. A territorial Pokémon known to nest inside large trees in the forest, guarding it from anything near. It has small hooks under its feet, allowing it to scale vertical surfaces. It’s famously stubborn, known to not budge an inch no matter how outmatched the opponent has it.
… That was a thing. So, then, time to either expand the search or take action to any of the sights that had been seen, or-
‘HOLD IT-’ ‘-RIGHT THERE!’
-And suddenly two dudes came stumbling out of the woodwork. Notably, neither had an umbrella and were drenched from head to toe. Still, the clothes they seemed to wear were notably stylish and entirely white. Almost like-
Two of them with almost identical clothing, one of them has red hair.
Two Pokémon had come out with them. One was a floating ball of gas grinning at them…
Pokédex Entry #92 – Gastly, the Gas Pokémon. It is comprised almost entirely from almost invisible gases that it has complete control of. It usually defeat an opponent by shrouding them in its own poisonous gases, which causes most beings to faint. Due to its weight, it will be blown away by wind and therefore takes cover.
… and the other was a similarly stumbling electric yellow sheep which static electricity looked like it had taken along half the forest when it came out by the water-side.
Pokédex Entry #179 – Mareep, the Wool Pokémon. It rubs together its coat of wool to generate static electricity that is stored in its fleece, which can more than double in size with enough electricity. This is how it keeps warm, so it discharges the electricity come summer when it’s not needed. The bulb on its tail grows more brightly the more electricity is stored.
This is the part where the two guys pointed accusing fingers at Skylar and Vivia.
‘Surrender! You’ve been caught dragon-poaching, red-handed!’ the red-haired one declared.
‘You got one, and now you’ve come to take the rest! Scum!’ the white-haired one claimed.
‘Huh? No, we were just going to-’ Vivia immediately tries to defend, blinking in surprise at them.
‘Don’t play dumb, we know who you are! A guy and a girl, just like in the reports!’ the red-haired one continued.
‘And hunting dragons, it can’t be a mistake! You’re the Team Amethyst duo sighted around here, in disguises!’ the white-haired one accused.
‘Wh-what? No, you got the wrong-!’ Vivia tried, but was interrupted.
Team Virtue Grunt Duo Randy & Mark would like to battle!
‘Ghastly, Hypnosis!’ the red-haired one commanded.
‘Mareep, Thunder Wave!’
‘Gaa-aastly~!’
‘Mareeeep…!’
The two Pokémon called out as one shot out sleep-inducing waves and the other shot out paralysis-causing waves… at Vivia. They were aiming directly at Vivia, the girl’s eyes widening a bit as she realized.
What would Skylar do?
First things first, Goomy here knows Protect. The first Hypnosis and Thunder Wave will be deflected by Goomy suddenly throwing up a defensive barrier at the last second, Vivia yelping back until suddenly the attacking waves strikes a white protective barrier… but Skylar might not know that, so maybe he does something first. This’ll make the two grunts decide to go after the Pokémon first.
The strategy is fairly simple. Both start out with Hypnosis and Thunder Wave, each, to target any Pokémon attacking them. After every enemy is hit by a status-effect, Mareep will start Thundershocking while Gastly will continue to Hypnosis in case any wakes up. Gastly will Mean Look, ensuring nobody can escape, if there’s no target to Hypnosis. Gastly’s Levitate makes immune to Ground-type, Mareep’s Static can paralyse on contact.
If Gastly or Mareep is taken out, they’ll be replaced by the following Pokémon on the same side.
Pokédex Entry #363 – Spheal, the Clap Pokémon. Known to be bad at both walking and swimming, a Spheal’s preferred method of travel is rolling. Its thick fur shields it from all cold, and they’re known to drift to new locations on icebergs. When they’re happy or eating, they tend to clap their tiny limbs to show appreciation.
Pokédex Entry #88 – Grimer, the Sludge Pokémon. Said to be born when the light of the moon hits sludge pumped out of factories. It drinks wastewater along with the waste of factories and loves anything filthy. Each Grimer is composed of different germs, and Grimers share bits of each other to one another to create new poisons.
That is, if Gastly’s taken out Spheal will replace, and if Mareep’s taken out Grimer will replace. Ice Body and Sticky Hold will not affect the battle. Spheal is going to go Rollout at any birds, using trees to try to roll and ricochet towards them, and in absence of those at anything else, trusting Rollout’s gradual increase in power. Grimer will try to Poison Gas any remaining Pokémon, and Mud-Slap any ground-based Pokémon, and Pound otherwise.
Notable is that Vivia will not stand idle. She’ll send out Venonat and attempt to send Supersonic at the opponents and Disable Hypnosis as well as Thunder Shock. If Venonat is taken out she’ll send out Scraggy to Sand Attack or Feint Attack where applicable. She’ll keep Goomy safe and close to her for this battle.
Farfetch’d looked over the berries presented. Now, Tanga Berries are specifically for bugs to like, apparently, Spelon Berries are so spicy that even Pokémon that aren’t fire-types will breathe fire after ingestion, and Chesto Berries are famously exceedingly tough to chew… so Farfetch’d snaps up that exceedingly juicy though sour Aspear Berry that Erika still has.
‘Farfetch'd,’ the bird will state, as he was offered to get more in exchange for some help training. Sure, then!
Training-time!
Sno had an easy time training well. Look at all these birds! Just throw Powder Snow, and with Farfetch’d helping it was a cakewalk! Though, the lack of resistance meant she took some damage back, too. Down to around 40%.
Sno grew to level 15! Sno learned Icy Wind!
Now, Eep didn’t have any Rock-type moves to take advantage of the type-advantage, but enough birds tried to tackle him to allow him to train pretty efficiently with Constrict, plus Ingrain meant he could always just heal up whenever and never had to return to the Pokémon Center, so.
Eep grew to level 14! Eep learned Confuse Ray!
Tara was not a stranger to training on Mountain Valley. In fact, she knew where to do so. See, all those Skiddos? Pecking them is exceedingly efficient for a bird! Tara was somewhat tired already, but some form of training could be gained anyway, especially with Farfetch’d’s help.
Tara grew to level 14! Tara learned Mist!
Chic also benefited from Skiddos. Some roasted grass-goat did the chicken good. Chic took some damage from their retaliation, but only to about 65% health, and was now strong enough to line up with Sno again.
Chic grew to level 15! Chic learned Peck!
Then Chu. … Chu was the star of Mountain Valley, throwing down Thunder Shocks like it was nobody’s business. The training went EXCEPTIONALLY well for Chu, what with all these birds to fry, and a resistance towards flying types to boot. Chu went up and came in line with the rest of Erika’s strongest, only damaged to like 75%.
Chu grew to level 15! Chu learned Electro Ball!
Finally, Kay. Kay had a bunch of bouncing Spoinks over there that she could target. The Spoinks didn’t have any attacks that could hurt Kay, all their Psychic-moves unable to hit, and as such Kay did pretty well.
Kay grew to level 15! Kay learned Psywave! Kay learned Topsy-Turvy!
Farfetch’d lands near Erika, breathing out in relief. Honestly, that was quite a work-out for him, too, he took notable damage from helping out, but he looked pretty proud of what he’d achieved.
There, some training done! Now, what?
Currently in Mountain Valley.
Mountain Valley
Pressed in between Mt. Strength and Mt. Chill, the Mountain Valley are a set of highlands that someone decided to make a thin but traversable road that can be travested by walking. At the edge between where it’d be too cold to climb due to cold, this mountainous region is filled with green hills with plenty of grass and plenty of winds. Here, many bird-Pokémon enjoys floating on the winds or eating small bugs in the many botches of grass around in this area reasonably untouched by human hands. In the north, the jagged peaks of Mt. Strength looms, but to the south the far taller frozen mountain range of Mt. Chill towers above… but that doesn’t affect those who travel this windy road right now.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. Though most people around here seems to just be people enjoying the view together or alone. 4. Talk. There are some people around, enjoying the evening in the woods. Maybe speak with them if you want. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Area Specific: Climb. Not the recommended path onto Mt. Strength, but it looks like you could theoretically climb with the right tools. Mt. Chill is way too steep, though.
Connected areas: Stillwood Village. A village hidden inside a forest, connected by the Mountain Valley road. Route 10. The farmlands feeding Worldedge City awaits to the east, giving a mystic feeling.
‘Hmpf. All on the one you know nothing about. Very well,’ Valerie simply commented, and then placed her own bet. ‘I don’t think Empress is out yet. Let me match your bet, 500 coins on Empress,’ Valerie said, gently rocking Togepi against her bosom. It seemed like it was a bit sleep-inducing, Togepi yawning and relaxing in the motherly grip.
The race was on! … And basically the absolutely first thing that happened out of the gates was that Biscuit pecked one of Dread Diver’s legs, making him stumble over and roll of the ground!
‘Poor soul. Biscuit wanted to interfere with Empress, but Empress was on the other side of the starting-line. He couldn’t possibly catch up with her. Hence, he went for the next-best thing; the newcomer,’ Valerie told, with a bit of false empathy in her voice.
However, the next thing that happened… Dread Diver turned around, all three heads in unison, and looked at Biscuit. Biscuit looked a little surprised, not used to that… when Dread Diver dived him. That… was Trash, the move where Dread Diver basically went ballistic and flailed every possible leg and head at Biscuit in one dreadful combo, blasting Biscuit down into ground and hitting over and over and over again. Biscuit fainted!
‘… Oh, my,’ Valerie stated in slight fake fright at the thing that just happened. ‘Perhaps the Dread Divers live up to their name… yet,’ Valerie said, turning to those actually dashing. There were only two. Lucky was taking it easy again, charging up for the next race, and Grassball didn’t even leave the gate. Grassball’s rider was talking to her from in front while patting her heads, looking like they were having a pretty emotional conversation for some reason. That left only Empress and Zodiac racing for the finish, Empress slightly ahead of Zodiac.
‘It seems that Empress will maintain her win strea-’ Valerie started saying in a content voice… when Ralia appeared on her head. Valerie blinked, and on pure instinct, she jerked to, gripped Togepi in a single arm and swiped with her other over to knock Ralia off, like if a large fly had landed on her. It didn’t matter if Ralia was hit or not. What mattered was that Togepi saw it.
‘Togepi…!’ Togepi called out in slight fright and in objection, blinking up in surprise at Valerie. Valerie blinked down at Togepi, starting to register what just happened, and then looked towards the races, mouth hanging just the slightest open.
Done Trashing Biscuit, Dread Divers’ heads turned around, glaring at those he could never catch up to… when all three heads yelled out in unison, and a Tri Attack flew in a spiral straight across the racing-field. It soared right in, and Zodiac was reigned in a little… leaving Empress in the way. The blast hit Empress’ legs away from down under her, meaning she fell and rolled and ended up on her side, kicking to quickly get up to her legs again. Zodiac ran past…
Zodiac won.
Neither Claire nor Valerie won this particular race.
For the sake of the bet, Valerie has 1160 coins total, and Claire has 940. Valerie is still in the lead.
‘Hmpf, I think I’m done betting for today,’ Valerie turned and glared a bit at Ralia, lifting a Pokéball and calling the mildly upset Togepi back into the ball. ‘But I’ll do one last bet, for the sake of finishing your challenge,’ she said, looking over at Claire.
… When Empress and Zodiac came back to the starting line… they both appeared shocked at the knocked-out Biscuit that lay on the sidelines, his rider forced to call him back and retreat from the races for now. A glaring stare-down took place, between Empress, Zodiac, and Dread Divers. It was clear the former two did not agree with what he had done to Biscuit, or of the Tri Attack he’d sent at them. They didn’t agree with Biscuit, either, but Dread Divers was far worse. Even back in the boxes they started with, the three did nothing but glare at one another. The only two that looked focused on the race was Grassball and Lucky…
Order for the next race is, from left to right… Lucky, Dread Divers, Zodiac, Empress, Grassball. The three powerful racers in the middle, the less so ones on the sides.
‘… 100 coins on Lucky,’ Valerie told simply, not waiting for Claire to bet first this time. She crossed her arms watching the race, Fletchinder flying over to land on Valerie’s shoulder as there no longer was a need to warm Togepi’s bath.
What would Claire do, for the final bet?
And I realize she and Ralia might want to react to Valerie attempting to strike the Ralts for landing on her, in which case feel free to react to that and I’ll have Valerie react in turn in the next post.
‘Aww, she’s cute! So elegant!’ Jamie said with a smile, having no idea she was just feeding Kylie’s ego, or something alike to that. Onto battle!
Buneary used Baby-Doll Eyes! … It had no effect whatsoever! If that was because of Hyper Cutter, or because Kylie knows all about such tricks and sees straight through them, is up for discussion! Regardless, Buneary then went forth to Pound at her! … The ears she tried to pound into the steel fairy hurt Buneary more than Kylie! Suffice to say, Kylie had no problem whitling down Buneary’s health with Fairy Wind and then Bite with little to no damage in return.
Dei VS Hoppip. … Ember blasted the flying bit down before it ever reached him with a Tackle!
Finally, Jamie’s most competent Pokémon, Eevee, the one she wanted the rocks for! Kylie met the creature, and when the Sand Attacks came Kylie unleashed her Sweet Scent, distracting the target and making Eevee make subconscious sounds from liking the smell, allowing Kylie to locate the opponent! Finally, it came down to a Bite VS Tackle contest, and while Eevee’s Tackles hurt more due to Adaptability, he was still tackling a steel fairy and Kylie won out eventually!
Kyllene grew to level 15!
Eryn was victorious! She gained 552P for winning!
‘Ow! Not only elegant, she’s strong, too!’ Jamie said with a smile towards Kyllene. ‘Where can I find one of those?’ she asked, looking to Eryn. Then, Eryn asked about Ice and Moss Rocks. ‘Oh, so, they’re special big rocks for Eevees to evolve into their Ice or Grass-type evolutions… Now, I’m pretty sure the Ice Rock is up there somewhere…’ Jamie motioned towards Mt. Chill and/or Frozen Cave. ‘Though, it kind of scares me to go looking for it in such a cold environment. The Moss Rock, though, is supposed to be in a forest around here…’ Jamie sighed and shrugged. ‘… But which one? Stillwood? Silent? Infested? If it’s in Endless Forest, then forget it, we’re never finding it. Hahaha. The next step might be to ask some villagers and see if they know…’ So she said, and sighed.
Moving on.
‘Hmpf! Sure! No way you’ll win! Let’s warm you up, first!’ Adrian said, throwing out Koffing first. … So, Poison Gas did NOTHING against Kylie, her steel-type protecting her fairy-side from the poison, and suddenly Koffing didn’t look so happy anymore. All it had was Tackle. Kylie took it down swiftly enough, basically without damage. Kylie was then faster than Roggenrola, Fairy Winding the rock-creature with poor Special Defense, Roggenrola had time for one more Sand-Attack before Kylie Fairy Winded it to fainting.
‘… Hah! Strong little thing. Well, how about THIS!?’ Adrian told, sending out Gible to face her. Being faster, Kylie sent a Fairy Wind, overpowering the sand attack and doing heavy Super-Effective damage to Gible. Gible responded… by unleashing a- and here’s where the GM remembers that Fairies are completely immune to Dragon-type attacks, not just resists them. Well. Adrian clearly somehow forgot this, alike the GM, despite being a self-proclaimed know-it-all. He blinks a bit in surprise as Gible faints to another Fairy Wind.
Kyllene grew to level 16!
Eryn was victorious! She gained 5P for winning!
‘Gah!?’ Adrian recoiled. ‘Wait, what? No! I KNOW that! If I got that question on a test, I’d ace it every time! So why did I…?’ he blinks a bit in confusion. Then, Eryn asks where he got the dragon from. He pauses for a moment, then grins at her.
‘… Hahaha… You can’t, normally, get a dragon anymore…’ he tells her. ‘The Gym Leader of Lakewatch, Lesley, and her Lakewatchers, as well as Team Virtue on the western side, they’re all watching. Making sure people don’t poach dragons like they used to. It was a very lucrative business. BUT! But, but… There’s a darker side of Lakewatch Town. Ask your way around there, you’ll find a crowd that can catch whatever you want, with any means necessary… as long as you have the money. I bet that’s what SHE did, that pink-haired girl in a blue cap whose dragon burned down my whole team… Hah, nobody’s honest anymore…!’
… So Adrian said, before he turned tail and ran. Next opponent.
‘Heh? Zorua and no illusion? Well. Bronzor, TACKLE!’ Mason shouted out, and Bronzor flew in to tackle. This match-up was a bit tricky, as Steel secondary type meant the match-up was neutral. Bronzor’s exceptional defense was higher than Eri’s attack, and despite Bronzor’s low attack-power Eri’s defense wasn’t very good, either. However, Eri had a more effective attack in Pursuit, and eventually took down Bronzor, but not before racking up considerable damage himself.
Against Gothita, Eryn pretended to change Pokémon into Diglett… And then Diglett and Gothita both did Fake Tears on one another, both Pokémon crying wolf tears in one another’s faces. Both Pokémon’s Special Defense were sharply lowered. Gothita’s Competitive activated, sharply raising her Special Attack… Mason grinned. ‘Diglett knows Fake Tears? Eh, no matter. You realize how much you just boosted my next attack’s power, right?’ With Diglett’s Sp. D sharply lowered and Gothita’s Sp. A sharply raised… ‘Gothita, Confusion!’
And Gothita cast Confusion! It didn’t affect Diglett. ‘… Huh? How didn’t-’ Mason’s eyes widened. ‘YOU TRICK-!’
Aaaaaaaaaaand then Eri went in and Pursuited Gothita to defeat, Gothita’s panicked Pound doing a little damage back and breaking Eri’s illusion but it was far too late. Gothita fainted after the second Pursuit.
Erebi grew to level 14!
Finally, Woobat VS Onix… Mason frowned. ‘This isn’t an illusion again, is it!? I frankly don’t care if I’m tricked again, I just refuse to use Confusion again until I’ve- GUST!’ … And with that, Woobat broke Eri’s illusion first thing with a Gust, Mason standing up triumphantly and pointing in glory. ‘HA! GOT EM!’
So, Woobat still took a Leer and a single Pursuit, heavily damaging the bat, but Woobat still prevailed over Eri on account of the damage he’d taken against Bronzor. ‘YEEEES! I KNOW WE CAN’T BEAT WHAT COMES OUT NEXT, BUT WE GOT THE ILLUSIONIST! WELL DONE, WOOBAT!’ Mason called, dancing. ‘NOW, WHATEVER MONSTER SHE SENDS OUT NEXT, WE’LL FACE OUR DEFEAT WITH DIGNI-’
Eryn called out Tula.

Tula Struggled into Woobat’s face, taking the last of the bat’s health! Woobat fainted!
Tula grew to level 13!
Eryn was victorious! Eryn gained 795P for winning!
‘Uuuuuuuugh… D-did it HAVE to be a Magikarp…?’ Mason asked, cradling his Woobat. Then Eryn asked about the Frozen Cave. ‘… Eh. It’s long and winding, treacherous. It’s safe for the most part, but you might slip and slide way further in than you ever intended to go, and there are Glalies in there on way higher level than the surrounding Pokémon who freeze people solid. Don’t enter without an Escape Rope. But, on the outer part are the mines, where miners make a living mining artifacts, fossils and Pokémon out of the wall. I found this thing? It’s what my fortune led me to, but I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do with it…’ Mason said, holding forth a strange bell, right over his Woobat. ‘Want it?’
Eryn was offered the Soothe Bell!
Onto the final opponent!
‘Oh? Sounds interesting. I might take you up on that!’ Wilhelm said with an ignited smile, and then the battle was on. Sandile Sand-Attacked Kylie, but she was quick to Sweet Scent that. She then resisted the Dark-type Bite, while she was Super-Effective against his Dark, and so Kylie was a swift victor. Then, Magnemite came out. Kylie was the faster opponent, so she Taunted, ensuring Magnemite couldn’t Supersonic her. Instead, she found herself Thunder Shocked! It hit somewhere sensitive, so Critical Hit!
Suddenly heavily damaged from that Critical Hit Thunder Shock, Eryn attempts to return Kylie… but can’t! Magnemite’s Magnet Pull means Kylie cannot escape battle! Magnemite charges for the next Thunder Shock!
Florrie helped as she could with crawling up as Dawkin helped her up, breathing in mild panic as she finally got up. Then, yes. Because trainers have to battle.
‘W-wait, that one’s part rock, right…!?’ Florrie blinked into realization, and quickly pointed forward. ‘Azurill, Water Gun…!’
It was indeed, as the little blue creature sent out a spray of water at Atlas, who took the Super-Effective hit… but with Azurill lacking a water-type, for some reason, it didn’t do as potent damage as it could have, and nothing in comparison to when Atlas reached Azurill and dealt a heavy hand of Super-Effective Metal Claw, the lack of water-type failing to protect the blue thing from the damage. Atlas easily overcame the opposition. Thooouuugh, Azurill was too low-leveled to obtain another level for Atlas.
‘Oooooh-!’ Florrie made a disturbed noise. ‘S-Sandile!’
From overleveled to underleveled in comparison to Florrie’s team, Tyrunt VS Sandile turned out to be a bit more interesting. Tyrunt has an awesome Attack stat and a decent Defence stat, while Sandile had subpar defenses albeit strong attack. That said, Bite was a far more effective attack than mere tackling, and as such Tyrunt’s health depleted more rapidly than Sandile’s. No worries, however, this gained Tyrunt a bunch of experience and a quick change to Wooper meant Sandile didn’t stand a chance against the next Water Gun.
Tyrunt grew to level 8!
‘A-ah! Sandile…’ Florrie looked a bit shaken, taking back Sandile to his Pokéball. Florrie paused there, standing motionless, like if she had nothing else to come with…
Except, there was no notice in the Pokédex about him winning and getting money for it.
Florrie hesitantly takes out another Pokéball, her eyes somewhat wide, as if startled by your strength when it really is just that she herself is pretty weak. She freezes for a second, looking like she doesn’t really know if she wants to send this one out, but then she bites it together, and-!
‘H-help me, Zei…!’
The Pokéball hits the sand, and opens, and a dog of some form jumps out to stand in between Florrie and him. A curious dog with a green scarf, of a kind that Dawkin has certainly never seen before…
Pokédex Entry #718 – Zygarde, the Order Pokémon. Born from many separate cells, this form is born when around 10% of Zygarde's cells have been gathered. This form is skilled in close-range combat, its sharp fangs make short work of enemies, but it’s unable to maintain this body indefinitely. After a period of time, it falls apart.
And, assuming he did the scanning with the Pokédex that then spoke out loud…
‘E-EH!? H-HOW DOES THAT MACHINE KNOW THAT!?’ Florrie asks, exceedingly alarmed for a moment. ‘E-er, wait, you can tell me after I’ve beat you…! Zei, DIG!’ Florrie commands, and the dog suddenly jumps, starting a flurry of clawings straight down into the sand, which Zygarde promptly disappeared into. There was a movement in the sand where the dog was crawling through, heading at a high speed to under whatever opponent he was currently facing, intending on bursting out to damage the opponent and then quickly diving back in, or pursuing with a Bite if the opponent was damaged enough!
So. In battle, Zygarde has Bite, Dragon Breath or Dig, depending on what is most effective. Dig is the go-to move, where Zygarde will dive into the sand in order to seek out where to erupt from underneath and strike harshly against an opponent! How would Dawkin answer this?
Aegislash made one last gesture to Amelia for gratitude and then she was on her way again. Jonas was in position to escort a confused and dazed boy home from the tomb, and that was that, with all hope. She made her way back across the desert, managing to avoid getting into trouble, and also made it back to Raremine Town without any issues.
Raremine Town

Raremine Town is a moderately large, bright town on the edge of the only desert in Isson. By some twist, the largest mineral deposits in the land is located right under the desert, making it an attractive place to build mines. From that, Raremine Town naturally sprung into being as a merchant town on the edge of habitability from where the mineral could then be delivered to the rest of Isson. The temperature is hot, sun blazing down on this land where plains slowly become desert, the atmosphere dry and unfriendly… yet, life and trees blossoms among the buildings of Raremine Town.
The ground is still the grass from the Vast Plains, with buildings on top of them. The modern houses stand tall with plenty of architectural skill put into them, tools for building and living sold inside the houses. Everywhere, one can see workers walking about, but they’re happy workers, with their families living close at hand in the town and with the finest equipment available. Oh, and of course, plenty of Pokémon that assist with the finding of ores and such! The trees, which appear to have been planted and grown all over town by the residents themselves, gives plenty of homes for local Pokémon to live.
Overall, it’s busy, with people walking and talking all over, an active town indeed.

They can give tips about the desert! 6.5. Research Lab. For archaeologists, those who want to talk to Dunstan and those who want to resurrect fossils. 6.6. Stone Store. Where all the stones of the Desert Mines or Frozen Cave eventually end up! Lots of evolutionary and other kinds of stones! 6.7. Bug Garden. A garden within which bugs thrive. Vivillons can be hired here for tracking down the Mythic Oasis! 6.8. Warehouses. Because the things they mine here needs somewhere to be stored. This includes Ancient Pokémon, apparently, as some of the warehouses are pens. 7.1. Amelia. She’s still in town, Dawkin could go see her if he wanted. 7.2. ???. A girl in a dark dress with a Seviper slithering behind her is in town. Wouldn’t be that special, but people are turning their heads in interest like she’s well known.
Connected areas: Route 6. The Vast Plains open up to the north of Raremine. The shorter paths lead to Route 8 and 16, while west far enough leads to Lakewatch Town. Route 7. The single rocky desert of Isson, it connects to the Desert Mines, the Old Tombs and to the Mythic Oasis.

In any case. Amelia heads for the Bug Garden after resting for a while. She intentionally went to check on the Shedinja…

Pokédex Entry #292 – Shedinja, the Shed Pokémon. A discarded bug shell that came to life. No matter what, its body will not move, not a twitch or anything, floating around instead by an unknown means. It appears without explanation when Nincada evolves. It is said that if you peer into the crack on its back, it will steal your soul.
Amelia just turned the corner into the Bug Garden tracking the ghost she was sensing within it when the very individual she was going to check on Shedinja for was standing there, holding said shed-Pokémon in her hand, looking at the unmoving husk of a ghost-Pokémon. However, when Amelia came in, the woman turned to look at her instead. The aura that usually followed Angelique wasn’t there… no, that wasn’t it. It was there, but it was far more faint than ever before. This is perhaps the moment Amelia realizes Angelique has the ability to reign in her aura if she wants to sneak up on someone who can sense it.
She’s now in the Bug Garden.
The bug-garden was indoors, a pleasant atmosphere in here where trees grew happily and the bugs could thrive. At the door, there was a place where you could hire the Vivillons for 750P. Inside the garden one could look at the many plants with food for the bugs, numerous trees standing about and a fountain in the middle. This was probably the fanciest place in Raremine Town. There were a few gardeners about, but otherwise it was all Pokémon. On the ground Scatterbugs and Spewpas strayed about, and in the air or on the trees fluttered Vivillons…
Though Amelia probably wasn’t concerned with any of those right now, given who was standing before her.
Angelique turned and looked towards Amelia. She started speaking.
‘Adequate aftermath achieved and appreciated. Clairvoyant’s competency kept curbed, sentinel’s shelter shielded as well as suppressed, but botheration bridled beautifully. Abutting ambition anticipated as ashes at archipelago, calumniator collects clues covering contingency. Endure expeditions, extract experience, expand endowments. Current capability capitulates, confronted crisis colossal. Ripen, recover, rebound, return robust, then the temple will welcome. Prayer for positive prosperity.’
… It was probably as hard to decipher as usual…
Angelique put Shedinja back on the tree next to her I can imagine Amelia might tell her to let Shedinja go, here, but honestly, she wasn’t here for Shedinja, and then start to advance on Amelia. One of her hands went inside her clothes, looking like she was fishing for something as she got dangerously close-
‘Angelique.’
So called a somewhat familiar voice from behind Amelia. Angelique abruptly stopped moving, frowning.
Behind Amelia stood a man in glasses, white hair, a suit and a top-hat…
Behind him stood the pink-haired girl with the Seviper that had been pursuing Angelique earlier when she and Dawkin had encountered her last time they were in Raremine Town.
Pokédex Entry #336 – Seviper, the Fang Snake Pokémon. It hides in grass and strikes unwary prey with venomous fangs. It whets its bladed tail on rocks to prepare for battle, said blade oozing of horrible poison. It shares a generations-long feud with Zangoose, the two rivaling species battling endlessly throughout history.
Angelique looked away. Her expression looked unamused. Jacques stepped forward, and looked directly at Angelique with his little smile.
‘Angelique. I’m going to have to ask you to come with me. You need to explain a few of your actions these last few days. See, if you misbehave, it’s going to reflect badly on the Pokémon League. Hence it’s my job, as the top member of the Elite Four, to ensure you, as my subordinate, behave. See my problem? It was, after all, only because of my word that you didn’t outright become a wanted criminal last time we cornered you. Do consider your title and your position before you cause more trouble, alright?’
Angelique stood motionless for a bit. Then, she retrieved a Pokéball from her pocket, and lobbed it lightly towards Amelia. Without even looking to see if she caught it or not, Angelique silently turned to wander out of the Bug Garden, past Jacques and past the girl with the Seviper, the latter of which turned to escort Angelique somewhere. Without touching her, Angelique walked on her own.

Pokédex Entry #442 – Spiritomb, the Forbidden Pokémon. A Pokémon formed by a multitude of spirits bound together by an Odd Keystone. They were bound into the fissure of the stone with a dark spell many years ago as punishment for their mischief and misdeeds. If freed, it is known to be as aggressive and mischievous as ever.
Spiritomb turned and looked around. Her gaze fixed on Amelia.

I’m sorry you had to be drawn into this little event,’ Jacques told her, bowing and pulling his hat a bit as he said. ‘I heard that you saw the state of Old Tombs, as well as encountered Angelique here in Raremine Town and engaged in a battle, as far as I heard. If I may, could you provide your witness testimony as to what Angelique has been doing in this area, as well as guess as to her motive? It’s terribly hard to figure out why Angelique does what she does, you must understand…’ Jacques asked, his expression a bit softened compared to how focused he is when amusing himself.
So, Celebrity hid somewhere while the rest did their best to act natural. A couple of coins were left on the ground, and it didn’t take too long for a Murkrow to notice. A Murkrow blinked as the coins were located, so the bird swooped in-!
And landed on a building overlooking the area, looking about. Seems he was a bit suspicious. Wasn’t this just a tad, little bit convenient? … Hm. … Nope, too suspicious, and aware of that there were in fact awake trainers nearby. Murkrow waved his wings and flew-
-unknowingly straight over Celebrity’s hiding spot, where she promptly started singing to him. Murkrow spun, trying to avoid, but unfortunately it didn’t roll Insomnia (which was an option for Murkrow) and as such collapsed in a pile a bit further away. Celebrity shot a Disarming Voice at Murkrow, doing significant damage, and also woke the Murkrow up!
Murkrow got up and tried to dart away, but before the black bird could, Skylar threw a Pokéball! The night did not decrease Skylar’s accuracy in the slightest!
The Murkrow panicked, trying to flee, so Skylar was forced to catch him while he was awake, but given the considerable damage Celebrity had done… Murkrow was absorbed into the ball, which fell onto the ground.

'Skylar, I…' she said, short of breath, and also almost stumbling on her own legs as she came closer. 'I found something on Route 3, and it… and it…' she said, wobbling lightly on her feet, her tone sounding so cracked and like she might start sobbing at any moment for some reason… until she came close to Skylar and she could-
'ISN’T IT ADORABLE!?' Vivia asked in almost a shriek, holding forth the creature she’d been carrying up close to Skylar’s face.
Pokédex Entry #704 – Goomy, the Soft Tissue Pokémon. Known as the “weakest Dragon-Pokémon”. As it’s composed mostly of water it lives in damp, shady places so its body doesn’t dry out. It’s covered by a slimy, slippery membrane that makes attack slide off harmlessly, but they’re very sensitive so touching it is like a shock to it, leaving it unable to move.
'… Goomy?' Goomy asked, startled by Vivia’s movement to show her. Notably, Vivia’s exceptionally carefully just holding her hands under the creature, creating a little platform for Goomy to sit on rather than grabbing the blob in any way.
'C-can you perceive it? It’s, like, all blubby and flubby and...' Vivia brought it back to her, her eyes behind her glasses tearing up above the absurd dragon-Pokémon. 'Aaaah, it’s so cute… I just want to grasp around her and squeeze her, but I’d hurt her if I did that… It’s such… anguish…!' Viola quivered a bit as she complained, her hands shaking under Goomy, who looked a bit uncomfortable holding onto the shaking hands…
… So, apparently Vivia found herself a Goomy on Route 3. That happened.

Highhill Town
Highhill Town is a small, lively place that has seemingly stood atop this hill from time immemorial and never really changed. The atmosphere in Highhill Town is much fresher than surrounding places, the buildings are older and the work as honest as ever. The old town is populated by elders and younglings aplenty, and the town has a culture of their own. Plenty of Pokémon assist with the work, either as work-force or the animals that work is being done on.
One usually only crosses Highhill Town on a trip to or from Pureplain City. Regardless, it is a place of beauty. The fields around it are cultivated by hard-working people and Pokémon while the lake to the east gleams in the sunshine as fishermen attend it. There are small roads of asphalt spiraling up the hill to lead to all the old buildings, and children playing around in stairs or nature is very common.
It is said that a trainer praying at the nearby Silent Shrine will be blessed on their journey, so many travel to Highhill Town just for that. There’s also a set of very ancient rocks spread about town, pointing out towards the lake on top of the hill with some engravings. What they mean? Nobody knows. Also, Highhill Town is the residence of a certain Move Changer, whose abilities are sought by some new trainers. What he can do? Visit him to find out.
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in towns~ 2. Talk. In cities and towns, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the town to any of the connected areas. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Buildings. Visit any of the facilities of the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Pokémon Gym. ??? 6.4. Docks. For fishermen or perhaps a ticket across Route 14. 6.5. Ancient Rocks. Of completely unknown origin, ancient writing on them. 6.6. Ranch. There are ranches around Highhill, if you stand to gain from them. 6.7. Move Changer. We can guess from the name, but what can this man do? 6.8. Mayor’s House. If you see reason to visit, it’s right by the rocks.
Connected areas: Route 1. To the south, is the common route of first journeys. Green and straight. Route 3. To the north, the route to Rainrock or the Silent Shrine. A wet woodland. Route 14. To the east, the lake known as the Dragon Lake, potentially for crossing. Path to Silent Shrine. To the west, the Silent Forest and the path to the shrine within.
So, the battle began, and Erza sent out both Shadowfang and Princess at once, and-
‘Wait, hold on, it’s a double battle-?’ Charline asked, in surprise, because she’d totally sent out both her Pokémon only so that they’d be seen, still intending that it’d be one-on-one after that, but-
‘SURE! DOUBLE BATTLES, GO!’ Hector didn’t even hesitate.
‘Gah!’ Charline recoiled a little, then grinned. ‘Well, gotta adjust my strategy a bit, then!’ Because double Bide is NOT A GOOD STRATEGY.
She does, however, still command Throh to use Bide when she realizes a Gust is heading for him. Meditite, however…
‘Meditite! Power-up Punch the Pooch! You can win that!’ Charline commanded, and Meditite hovered forth at Shadowfang, while Throh was charging Bide at Princess. Shadowfang would still be able to get off the Howl, increasing his attack, but perhaps Charline’s change of strategy will cause one in Erza as well?
Meditite is going to charge Shadowfang, trying to Detect at bites and trying to Power-Up Punch when given an opportunity. Meanwhile, Throh is going to try to Bide Princess, and after that attempt to run after her for Power-Up Punches.
After that!
Summer proceeded to make a harsh sunlight inside the dark dojo!
‘Gah! B-Boss, it’ll be dangerous to train in this sunlight! We’ll dehydrate!’ a Black Belt called.
‘POWER THROUGH IT!’ Hector called, grinning, sweating where he just stood with arms crossed. ‘SHOW THE HARSH SUNLIGHT WHOSE SUPERIOR! KEEP TRAINING, AND GET PLENTY OF DRINKS!’
And so, those that weren’t partaking in the battle continued training in the harsh sunlight that Summer had called indoors…
Croagunk does not have Dry Skin. Are you saying Erza’s good enough a Pokémon Trainer to know Croagunk COULD have had Dry Skin and that the sunlight would have been damaging to the Toxic Mouth Pokémon?
With the sunlight, Dale figured Summer to be the more dangerous Pokémon and Makuhita flashed up to her and slammed with Fake Out, causing her to flinch and made her an open target as Croagunk dashed forth and broke the floor open to get some mud from underneath and throw it at Summer, doing light yet Super Effective Ground-type damage and decreasing her accuracy.
‘OY! WE’RE GONNA NEED TO PAY FOR THAT!’ Hector called, meaning the floor that was just ripped up.
‘Eh, put it on my tab!’ Dale called with a wide smile, sounding like it really didn’t matter all that much to him.
This meant, though, that meant Flora could use Growth, prompting Dale to go a little ‘oh, darn’ as Flora’s stats were boosted greatly by the harsh sunlight.
‘Croagunk, go after Budew, Mud Slap! Makuhita, stay on Vulpix, Power-Up Punch!’ … Dale also has switched his tactics enough to warrant player input. Makuhita is on Summer, not intending on letting her target Croagunk and intending on Power-Up Punching up close, because Croagunk already Mud Slapped her. Croagunk, the poison type, was of course sent after Flora as a grass type, intended to resist the Mega Drain and then Mud-Slap to get down Flora’s Accuracy before Power-Up Punching despite Not-Very-Effective to eventually do significant damage to Flora. What will Erza command?
Against Madeline, later.
The first thing that happened was that Mankey and Hawlucha both charged forth, intending for quick close combat! Mankey at Vee, and Hawlucha at Pharia! They know no fear! … That’s when Vee Helping Handed, powering up Pharia’s Thundershock! It blasts the flying wrestler, cooking the Pokémon excessively and making it collapse onto the ground! … But wait, it just precisely wasn’t done! Hawlucha managed to precisely reach Phario to deliver a single blow of Power-Up Punch! … Didn’t do nearly as much damage as Pharia did to Hawlucha!
Vee then Quick Attacks away, before Mankey could reach him, straight into Hawlucha and knocks out the last of Hawlucha’s health. Meanwhile, Pharia turned and Thunder Waved Mankey, the pig monkey unable to avoid the paralyzing waves! And from here… Mankey was completely unable to overcome his paralysis as he came under constant fire, Pharia shooting Thundershocks and Vee Quick Attacking into him, disorienting Mankey until he couldn’t take anymore and fainting, providing Erza with his easiest victory!
Vee grew to level 15!
‘Aaah, no way…’ Madeline complained as she watched the result. ‘… Guess that’s what happens when you’re allowed to customize your team for what you’re fighting, huh! Don’t get used to it!’
Erza was victorious! Erza gained 52P for winning!
‘… Don’t look so disappointed! We’re all pathetically poor at this gym!’ Madeline announced like proud of this fact.
Anyways, Erza had two fights before that one that didn’t go quite as smoothly! What does he do in those?
It looked like the surrounding Onixes were pretty pleased with Eryn’s fright. There was something of a pleasure in being in a position of power, after all. Then, when she showed her gratitude for the egg offered to her, they also looked pretty pleased with themselves, above all the Onix she was thanking.
‘On-on-on-on…!’ the Onix laughed about making that child to be stronger than him, and then he looked her straight in the eyes with a focused glare. ‘ONIX…!’ He called out, and that translated into I’M COUNTING ON IT…!’
The mother Onix merely continued to glare at her, but with Eryn’s proclamation that the child would be safe, she gave a little grunt that may have been an acknowledgement. Maybe. In any case, she picked up the egg and moved on.
‘Diglett!’ the Diglett that had followed her called out to her happily, one final time before she went out and Onix slammed the entrance and caused it to collapse, ensuring nobody would be using it to enter directly into his domain. Still, if Eryn wanted to go back, she’d soon have her very own Onix that could open that very same path, now, wouldn’t she?
After the little clarification with Eri, they headed on towards Lakewatch Town, heading over the waters in order to get to the Pokémon Center.
‘Hello, and welcome to the Pokémon Center. Would you like to rest your Pokémon?’
Assumingly, yes.
‘Okay. I’ll take your Pokémon for a few seconds, then.’
She’d then accept the Pokéballs and put them into the machine, and…
‘Thank you for waiting. We’ve restored your Pokémon to full health.’
She says as she hands the Pokéballs back. She then bows to her customer and gives a friendly smile.
‘We hope to see you again!’
‘Oh? A Pokémon Egg? Let me see,’ the nurse says, curiously looking over the egg as Eryn came with it for examination. The nurse brought forth numerous equipment to listen in on the egg, shone a little light at it with a special machine, inspecting it with a Chansey standing nearby…
‘It appears to be pretty close to hatching!’ the nurse says, a mild touch of excitement in her voice. ‘Keep travelling like you have, and it’ll come out soon! It’s still a little ways off, but it’s close! … Oh, and, with the shape of what’s inside it… perhaps give it a wide berth when it hatches, okay? The child is going transform, just like in normal Pokémon evolution, so it may come out of the egg considerably bigger than the egg itself!’ the nurse cautioned.
So, that said! Eryn checked with surrounding trainers about Pokémon you could find near here…
Route 14 has Magikarp, of course. She’s also cautioned about Carvanhas, who have a tendency to be violent. Otherwise, there’s a decent mix of tadpole Pokémon and various duck Pokémon…
Route 5 is primarily grass-type, with Oddish and Deerling being the most obvious Pokémon, but with odd bugs like Caterpie and Scatterbug around. Also, some electric rodents can be found among the trees…
Route 6 is, like, a safari. Honestly, go there yourself, if you want to see what you can find, just don’t train there. The Vast Plains, as they’re called, are way more dangerous than the other Routes around here… So she’s cautioned.
Frozen Caves… First, she’s told there are miners there that mine things out of the ice. Ancient Pokémon and items can be retrieved from there! Really exciting! Otherwise… Swinub, Delibird and Sneasel show up pretty frequently. Just watch out for Glalies.
With that out of the way, heading for Route 5!
Route 5
Just as Stillwood Village is the least visited settlement in Isson, Route 5 is among the least travelled routes on Isson main landmass. The route is a steady incline from Lakewatch Town to Stillwood Village, with some elements of the base of Mt. Chill nearby, the waters of Dragon Lake next to it too, sporadic forest from that surrounding Stillwood Village and some of the plain elements from route 6 as well, along with a very traveller-friendly road makes Route 5 perhaps one of the most naturally stunning routes of Isson. There are no roads for asphalt here, only travellers are explorers seeking or exiting Lakewatch Town for some reason, as well as Pokémon trainers on their journeys.
A peaceful route without any real dangers, it still offers a lot of variation. Walk on the west side by the waters of Dragon Lake to potentially encounter some Pokémon of the lake. Walk by the mountains on the east and perhaps feel some of the radiating cold of the range of Mt. Chill to perhaps see some more mountainous Pokémon or maybe an ice Pokémon that stumbled out of their caves. The route is a bit cold, attributed perhaps best to the proximity to the Frozen Cavern, and it gets colder the closer the mountain you go. Multiple rivers run down from the mountains, part of Mt. Chill that melts, but efficient wooden bridges help passage over. And of course, patches of forest here and there.
The south of Route 5 opens up towards what people call the Vast Plains, or simply Route 6. There parts of the Endless Forest spread out to make things a bit more covered in trees, but as soon as you leave this forest, all you’ll see is plains as far as you can see, and that’d be Route 6. On the other side of the route is the forest that covers Stillwood Village, you need to enter the forest to get to the village. At the middle by the lake is Lakewatch Town, resting a bit above Dragon Lake. And, of course, the passage up to the Frozen Cavern lies up that hill, for those who want to brave the range that leads towards the enclosed and frozen Route 9 on the other side.
… And as one travels Route 5, one might realize that the route’s grass contain many Deerlings walking around, enjoying the relative lack of humans and other dangers. Upon approach of any humans the timid Pokémon are however quick to run and hide in any patches of tall grass or forests they can find. Most of them are pink in color, not really helping them hide anywhere as their spring-form’s really colorful, but closer to the Frozen Cavern there are Deerlings that still haven’t shifted from their winter form.
Pokédex Entry #585 – Deerling, the Season Pokémon. A Pokémon known to live in mountain grass, it changes it’s appearance based on current temperature and humidity, effectively giving it a new form for each season. People used them to foretell the current season. They live in herds and are very timid with other living beings, hiding quickly.
And, also. Every here and there on the route there’s a couple of rather distinct leaves just sticking up at random, sometimes in very odd locations like in the middle of the road or right in the middle of nowhere. If Erika couldn’t figure it out by herself, Ewan could point it out for her. They’re sleeping Oddishes.
Pokédex Entry #43 – Oddish, the Weed Pokémon. During the day, Oddish finds nutrient-rich soil to sleep in and absorbs, specially preferring cold soil. When touched by the moonlight, it then pulls itself up and starts wandering, spreading its pollen and looking for a new place to sleep. If it is pulled up by an aggressor during the day, it shrieks out loudly.
… So, yeah, it’d find plenty of cold soil on this route next to the Frozen Cavern. Natural Oddish habitat.
That’s what was immediately obvious, but surely, there was more waiting around here, largely depending on where they’d look. Now, then.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. While not many, there are still trainers and explorers in the area, mostly trying to get to the next. 4. Talk. You could seek someone out to talk to them, if you want to. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Area Specific: Random House. Uh. There’s an excessively out-of-place red house in the middle of the route, the door standing wide-open. … Want to visit?
Connected areas: Lakewatch Town. On the south-west of the route, Lakewatch Town lies adjacent to the lake on the road to the Wet Caverns. Stillwood Village. In the north lies the forest which hides the village, Mt. Strength lying behind it.. Route 6. Vast plains start in the south-east, this route leads towards Raremine Town. Frozen Cavern. After an incline up to the ridge of Mt. Chill, a cavern of ice could guide the way to Route 9 and Cooldome City. Endless Forest. To the south, a dark forest looms. There are no indications as to why you’d ever want to go there.
Training here goes fine for Dei and Kyllene, the Grass-types of this route having a hard time damaging either of them… but they also find themselves pretty superior to the average level of the Pokémon of this route pretty soon. Eri had a bit more trouble, on account of that the local Pokémon could actually damage him, but that was fine with a few more visits to the Pokémon Center. However, for Tula, she had to stick to attacking bugs, as the alternative was plants or electric rodents, not the best to challenge as a fish. But, some bugs did the trick.
Dei grew to level 14! Kyllene grew to level 14! Kyllene learned Sweet Scent! Erebi grew to level 13! Erebi learned Fury Swipes! Tula grew to level 12!
Anyways. Let’s find some trainers.

Pokédex Entry #427 – Buneary, the Rabbit Pokémon. It rolls up its long ears, then unrolls them with great force to slap enemies. This attack stings enough to make adults jump and crush boulders to dust. It uses its ears not only to attack, but also to sense danger--they stand straight up when it senses a threat. Its fluffy fur lets it sleep in warmth and comfort on cold nights.
Will start out with Baby-Doll Eyes to lower the opponent’s attack, and then dash forth to Pound.
Pokédex Entry #187 – Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokémon. Known to drift on winds, Hoppip is known to clutch to others of its kind to not be separated or to prevent being blown away. It is so light, even the gentlest breeze can lift it. When Hoppips gather, it is said spring is on the way.
Will Tail Whip and then Tackle. If it isn’t damaged fast enough, Synthesis will keep it in play indefinitely.
Pokédex Entry #133 – Eevee, the Evolution Pokémon. It’s a very rare Pokémon known to have a very unstable genetic makeup. Depending on where it lives, it is known to use evolution into different forms as means to survive harsher climates. It has eight currently known evolutions.
Will Sand-Attack, potentially Tail Whip and then Tackle. Adaptability gives its Normal-type moves a considerable strength bonus!
There was a young boy walking around on his own. Though, approaching, one could easily be surprised with the proud tone he started talking with.

Pokédex Entry #109 – Koffing, the Poison Gas Pokémon. It fills itself with lighter-than-air gases to float, and concocts them into poisonous gases within. When agitated, it expels the gases within into a poisonous smoke-screen. However, it can fail the process and randomly blow up. At higher temperatures, it is especially prone to blowing up at little to no provocation.
Will Poison Gas at its opponent, and then attempt using Smokescreen to keep a distance and Smog when it has the chance to attack.
Pokédex Entry #524 – Roggenrola, the Mantle Pokémon. First discovered around a hundred years ago in an earthquake fissure, it was compressed to be hard as steel underground. Inside each there is an energy core that keeps it moving. It’s only anatomy is the hexagonal ear in front, making out the world through sound. It has a tendency to move towards sounds.
Depending on the opponent it may Sand Attack and Harden, though otherwise it might just go for Headbutt. Sturdy means it cannot be taken out in one move!
Pokédex Entry #443 – Gible, the Land Shark Pokémon. It lives in holes in caves warmed by geothermal heat. It awaits prey to stray too close to said holes, and then pounce out to bite them. While usually found underground for heat, they’ve been known to venture into colder climates while huddling together with others of its kind for warmth.

There was a guy with blue hair wrapped in a blanket lay collapsed on the ground. Upon further examination, it appeared he wasn’t actually in danger. Just freezing.
‘M-my fortune (that I told myself) said a trip into the freezing caverns would help me…’ Didn’t sound like he appreciated the trip. Then suddenly, he blinked up at Eryn and jumped to his feet with an eager expression, despite the red nose. ‘… You know what would heat me right up? Establishing my dominance over you! BEND TO MY WILL!’

Pokédex Entry #436 – Bronzor, the Bronze Pokémon. They were found in ancient tombs, and implements shaped like them are too. Ancient people seem to believe the pattern on their back had mysterious powers. They are closely related to mirrors in ancient writing, yet no surface of it is properly reflective. X-raying it, there’s nothing inside.
Will use Confusion and Hypnosis in equal measure. Has Tackle if Confusion isn’t effective. Heatproof makes fire-attacks only do normal damage to it, despite Steel-type!
Pokédex Entry #574 – Gothita, the Fixation Pokémon. They’re always staring at something, especially trainers and their Pokémon, and can become so obsessed with watching that it doesn’t notice incoming attacks. It is said they’re watching something only they can see. Their ribbon-like feelers amplify their Psychic power.
May use Tickle, Play Nice and Fake Tears to weaken the opponent in some combination, and then go for Confusion. Has Pound if Confusion isn’t effective. Competitive will drastically increase its Special Attack if any of its stats are lowered!
Pokédex Entry #527 – Woobat, the Bat Pokémon. It inhabits dark forests and caves. It emits ultrasonic waves from its nostrils to learn about its surroundings. They’re known to attach to living beings, and upon separation they leave behind a heart-shaped mark. The mark of a Woobat is supposedly known to bring good fortune.
Depending on the opponent, will Confusion or Gust.
Then there was an older man coming walking about from Lakewatch Town on his own, looking a bit disappointed.
‘There’s supposedly some really cool ruins under Lakewatch Town, but you need Pokémon able to take you underwater to get to them. Highly inconvenient, don’t they know Ruin Maniacs rarely carry water Pokémon? Oh, well. Let’s battle!’

Pokédex Entry #551 – Sandile, the Desert Croc Pokémon. They live hidden in hot desert sands to keep their body temperature from dropping. It’s capable of submerging itself and swimming in sand, only its nose and eyes sticking up occasionally. Due to not being confident in hunting, it usually goes after things that have collapsed in the desert.
Will Sand Attack and then Bite. Moxie means its Attack will rise if it manages to take a Pokémon out.
Pokédex Entry #81 – Magnemite, the Magnet Pokémon. It floats by emitting electromagnetic waves from the units on its side. It is attracted to electricity and will home in and feed on it, in case of a shortage you might want to check the breaker box for Magnemites. It is eerily silent, known to appear out of seemingly nowhere with a sudden Thunder Wave.
Supersonic and then Thundershock. Magnet Pull means Steel Pokémon cannot escape.
Pokédex Entry #274 – Nuzleaf, the Wily Pokémon. It lives in densely overgrown forests, where it bores holes in large trees to live in. It pulls a lead from its head and makes a flute with. The flute, sometimes heard by forest-land travelers, have special powers that strike fear and uncertainty into people’s hearts. It dislikes having its long nose pinched.
Considerably more powerful Pokémon than the rest Eryn faced here! Will start the battle with Fake Out, meaning the first turn is cut for some immediate damage. Nature Power translates to Stun Spore on Route 5, so it will attempt to paralyze them if possible. It will then commit to Razor Leaf for damage, but has Pound if Razor Leaf turns ineffective. Early Bird means it will wake up quickly from sleep.
‘500 on Lucky, huh…’ Valerie commented on Claire’s bid, something about her tone there. Her hand wandered over to the bath where Togepi and Ralia was playing. She gently gripped around Togepi’s head with a hand, lifting him away from the play with Ralia.
‘Toge…?’ Togepi asked, a bit surprised, before he was dropped into Valerie’s sweet embrace, the queen holding him like a precious child against her.
‘1000 coins on Empress,’ Valerie said, finality to her voice. She then smiled down at Togepi, patting the Spike Ball Pokémon. ‘Don’t you agree, sweetie?’
Togepi looked a little confused, but smiled up at Valerie and reached for her with tiny arms. ‘Togepi!’ he said.
The race was on. To begin with, two of the racers were shooting off faster than any other. The two were Lucky and Empress. Zodiac was still not back at full speed, Grassball did the usual stumble, and Biscuit just didn’t have the pure speed of these two. It looked like it was an even match between Lucky and Empress, when-
-When Biscuit leaned forth to gain a spurt of speed, not catching up to Empress, but one of his heads got far enough to make a furious peck at Lucky’s leg. Lucky, who was focused 100% at running, suddenly caught the peck to her leg and fell down with three panicked yelps, Biscuit now pursuing Empress… but just wasn’t fast enough.
Empress crossed the finishing line first, scoring Valerie a win.
‘Yes, Biscuit will try to target the winner of the last race…’ Valerie said, patting Togepi while maintaining her queenly atmosphere around her. ‘… But with this starting-order, Lucky was placed between Biscuit and Lucky. Biscuit will attempt to attack, but he won’t be able to reach Empress because Lucky was in the way. Hence, he’ll interfere for Lucky instead, meaning Empress got away with the win, Zodiac taking second place. … Besides, it’s very rare for Empress to only win once. Normally, she wins at least two or three times in a row before she becomes too placant,’ Valerie stated, as if she had it all figured out.
Claire just lost 500 coins. She would have won a LOT if she’d won, but… Meanwhile, betting 1000 coins meant Valerie got an additional 400 coins for betting on Empress.
For the sake of the bet, Valerie has 1660 coins total, and Claire has 1440. Valerie’s now in the lead by 200 coins.
Biscuit is looking annoyed again, two of three heads glaring daggers at Empress. Empress, in the meanwhile, is walking back to the start of the race calmly, and in control. Lucky looks a little lost, the three heads pecking a bit at each other, trying to figure out what went wrong. Zodiac looks like he’s in full control again, though, the heads also throwing glances at Empress and Biscuit. And… there’s a bit of a commotion…
‘Oh?’ Valerie wondered, she and Togepi leaning a bit to look down. They were opening a sixth gate for another Dodrio… ‘… Well, I’ll be. Someone’s entered a new contestant.’
A new name showed up on the betting lists. “The Dread Divers”.
‘Hmpf. Horrible taste in names,’ Valerie commented. The odds for them… x3.
Said Dodrio was wearing black headbands on all three heads, glaring forward like not even acknowledging the other Dodrios. Empress, Zodiac and Biscuit all three looked a bit over the new contestants, Biscuit getting something mischievous in the eyes of two of three heads, though also taking the time to glare at Empress, while the rest just looked forward and focused on the race.
‘So. Our bet continues. Two bets left. You first,’ Valerie said, looking over at her.
The randomized order they’re currently running in, from left to right… DD, Biscuit, Zodiac, Grassball, Lucky, Empress.
‘Huff. Biscuit right next to the newcomer. He’s in for a rough first race,’ Valerie shrugged, apparently not even considering that a tip. Still patting Togepi who was pressed to her bosom, blinking curiously at the lined-up Dodrios.
‘T-tsk!’ Jenelle made an annoyed noise at Erika’s rejecting her, frowning and then pointing down at Farfetch’d. ‘Y-you haven’t seen the last of me! I WILL get you, at some point when there’s no trainer around to protect you! Mark my words…!’ … And with that said, Jenelle turned around and fled in full speed over the hill…
So, Jenelle’s parting words were in direct conflict to Erika’s comforting words to Farfetch’d.
‘Farfetch'd,’ the bird said in a neutral tone, looking up at her in confirmation about what she’d just said, nodding a bit as he was petted. She then offered that he could keep her company, which… ‘Farfetch'd!’ Farfetch’d was like “sure!”.
So, with Farfetch’d getting to play with Chic a bit, apparently, Erika focused on getting herself a Swablu. It didn’t take too long to locate, it was just a matter of finding a cloud that was a bit too close compared to how far away a cloud should be. The bigger problem was that… Swablu was flying really, REALLY high for Erika to actually be able to catch…?
‘Farf!’ Farfetch’d suddenly called, and the bird blew off into the skies, past the cloud… and then came down with multiple mighty TWACKS, poking down the Cotton Bird Pokémon with a bunch of stabs with the stalk, bringing down the startled Swablu into range of Sno…!
From there Sno could throw Powder Snow, hitting the cotton bird for super-effective damage, leaving it tired. Swablu attempted to use Sing to put Sno asleep… but Sno somehow managed to dodge the stream of sleep-inducing sound, or more likely, managed to overpower the desire to fall asleep and kept awake at all odds! Not having to deal with her Pokémon falling asleep, Erika threw a Pokéball!
Swablu was hit! The bird with cloud-wings was absorbed into the ball and fell onto the ground…
The ball rolled once! The ball rolled twice…!
… The ball rolled thrice!

Farfetch’d flew down, made a small loop in which he dramatically decreased his flight-speed, before calmly waving his wings for a light landing next to the Pokéball with Erika’s newly caught Pokémon.
‘Farfetch'd!’ Farfetch’d called out, proudly with a snort, raising and then slamming his stalk down into the grass. There you go, he helped. Basically.
Erika’s still in the Mountain Valley. What would she do next?
Mountain Valley
Pressed in between Mt. Strength and Mt. Chill, the Mountain Valley are a set of highlands that someone decided to make a thin but traversable road that can be travested by walking. At the edge between where it’d be too cold to climb due to cold, this mountainous region is filled with green hills with plenty of grass and plenty of winds. Here, many bird-Pokémon enjoys floating on the winds or eating small bugs in the many botches of grass around in this area reasonably untouched by human hands. In the north, the jagged peaks of Mt. Strength looms, but to the south the far taller frozen mountain range of Mt. Chill towers above… but that doesn’t affect those who travel this windy road right now.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. Though most people around here seems to just be people enjoying the view together or alone. 4. Talk. There are some people around, enjoying the evening in the woods. Maybe speak with them if you want. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Area Specific: Climb. Not the recommended path onto Mt. Strength, but it looks like you could theoretically climb with the right tools. Mt. Chill is way too steep, though.
Connected areas: Stillwood Village. A village hidden inside a forest, connected by the Mountain Valley road. Route 10. The farmlands feeding Worldedge City awaits to the east, giving a mystic feeling.
So, Dawkin was off to find a trainer to fight! It really shouldn’t take too long…
Except, huh. This was a desert. There wasn’t a lot of people out in the desert at this point. Someone off in the distance there… No, that’s Kristy. He didn’t want to challenge her. With that, he moved on for a while, searching across the desert for someone or something that looked out of place in the desert…
‘U-um, excuse me, up there?’ … He found something exceedingly out of place. He looked down into the dune, and found a girl. A girl with long, green hair, equally green deep eyes, that had sunk down into what appeared to be a conical pit in the sand, which appeared to have been created in the sand by some form of predator. Assumingly the scared girl looking up at him had fallen into the trap built by the predator, but then the predator had been like “wait, this isn’t prey, this is human” and then bailed. She had two Pokémon on her side that looked really unimpressed with her.
Pokédex Entry #298 – Azurill, the Polka Dot Pokémon. It lives by water. It’s big tail is packed with nutrition for it to grow, and is also very bouncy. Azurill spins its tail as if it were a lasso, then hurls it far, the momentum of the throw sends its body flying up to 33 feet. On sunny days they gather at the edge of water and splash about for fun.

Azurill looked like she was about to cry from the trainer being so helpless without them able to help, while Sandile looked like she was just about done with all this.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and assume Dawkin would help her up. If he wouldn’t, do tell without reading on, and we’ll edit the rest of the post.
‘U-um, thank you…’ the girl says after Dawkin has helped her up, eyes a bit wide still, looking up at Dawkin… ‘Ah, wait!’ she suddenly looks like she realized something exceedingly important. ‘Grandpa always said, “if your eyes meet, you must battle! That’s the law of Pokémon Trainers”!’ That supposed law is perhaps outdated in Isson. Despite this… ‘I-I’m sorry, but it seems I have to battle you…!’
Explorer Florrie would apparently like to battle!
Will use Bubble or Water Gun, or possible Charm if your Pokémon looks threatening enough!

Perhaps he wouldn't even help her up. In that case, tell me, and we'll redo it from a bit earlier. Perhaps he doesn't accept the fight, I can't decide that. Anyways!
Togepi looked a bit surprised when Ralia jumped down into the heated bath with him and hugged him, but nonetheless could sense that it was with happy intentions and wanting to play catch. Togepi smiled so happily and innocently.
‘Togepi!’ he called out, raising his tiny arms to play with Ralia.
Meanwhile, Claire put her coins on Empress. Valerie silently watched the situation as it unfolded, analyzing the different candidates with a focused stare…
‘… You’re right,’ Valerie says with a sigh, and then pulled out her wallet… ‘900 coins on Empress,’ Valerie said, placing nine times the funds on the table. ‘For the sake of our bet, we’ll say the both of us started with 1000 coins. Having lost 100, I have 900 left to bet,’ Valerie told, simply.
The race started, and… Grassball stumbled into a pile, Lucky’s taking it easy, Biscuit is still basking in his own success and Zodiac’s heads were squabbling due to their last failure. Empress easily outran the rest and secured a win.
Claire won 140 coins!
… But having bet all 900 of her coins, Valerie won 1260 coins. With that, for the sake of the bet, Valerie has 1260 coins total, and Claire has 1940.
The other competitors are getting a bit more back into the frey. Zodiac’s trainer yelled a bit at the Dodrio heads, and they got themselves back in order. Lucky had taken it easy last race, recharging for a potential spurt. Empress was eager to secure another win-streak. Biscuit saw Empress desire for a win-streak, and two out of three heads got something mischievous in their eyes. Grassball finally got up on actual feet and took three steps back to the starting point.

‘Hmpf, the next one should be a bit more difficult to guess,’ Valerie said, looking over at Claire. ‘Your next bet?’ she asked, focused.
Lundin’s Fine Establishment was indeed “fine”. They were crowded and tight on space, but Erza eventually found a table for all his Pokémon and himself. Here, different menus for different Pokémon was provided. Meals for plant-eaters, cooked bits for the carnivores, special water for those who live on that, even special bird-seed for Princess. The GM is abstaining from actually describing the food on account of a severe lack of knowledge within the subject, but rest assured they offered something delicious to every single member of the team, and also offered that he could bring some rations along for the road. Erza’s Pokémon had, mostly, definitely not been treated to anything so nice while out in the wild. It’s nice to be pampered, isn’t it? Overall happiness increased!
And so, filled with good food and re-energized to take on the world, the team tracked down the Pokémon Gym!
Erza tracked down the Gym quickly enough. It was an odd sight. In this town for resorts all the surrounding buildings around all seemed homely and inviting, but here was this was a grey warehouse. There were scaffolding covering the side of it, seemingly bent on repairing or maintaining parts of it that were falling apart, and multiple walls showed signs of previous maintenance or just had outright cracks in them. Also, there were loud sounds coming from within the gym. Cries could be heard from within, echoing between the walls. The only thing that looked like a gym about this place was the sign that stood on the outside.
Redcoast Pokémon Gym - Minor League Leader: Hector “The Fighting Challenge-Buster!”
‘Oh? Do my eyes deceive me, or are you a new trainer? No, not just a new trainer… a new Champ-To-Be?’ A guy who had been standing next to the entrance said, looking to Erza and then walking up to him with a smile.
‘Hello, there! I’m the Gym Guy! It’s my job to tell you about the Pokémon League, challenging the gyms and give tips about each specific gym you’re challenging, as well as tell you a little about the leader!’ he said, and then had a lot more to say. It was up to Erza if he wanted to listen or not, but here goes!
‘So, this is, as you no doubt understood already, a Pokémon Gym! The Gyms of Isson is divided into two categories, Minor and Major League Gyms. Each official town and-or city has a Gym waiting for you, which is one of the two! Defeating the challenge of the Gym earns you a Gym Badge, and there are nine Minor and nine Major League badges in Isson. You need eight badges of one kind to compete in the Pokémon League, against others of the same level! The winner of the Pokémon League then gets to challenge Elite Four and potentially the Champion!’
‘The Minor League is primarily for people to grow as trainers, compete in the League and learn more as they complete their Pokémon journeys, as well as for those who find they can’t beat the Major League Pokémon Gyms. The Major League is for those who wants to become the very best! It’s definitely recommended to start with the Minor League, and there’s plenty of rewards for competing in it, too! Good luck!’
‘Winning at the Pokémon League isn’t the only way to get to do the Champion Challenge, though. Any individual the Elite Four or the Champion judges worthy is allowed to fight the Elite Four and possibly the Champion for a chance to take the title! … But the normal way is most certainly to do well in the Pokémon League. Sometimes they even let multiple people who did well in the Pokémon League take the challenge, because the Elite Four aren’t immune to itching for a fight, too. But that’s for the future, back to the present!’
‘You’re here, at your first Minor League Gym! Hector is a user of Fighting-type Pokémon, a powerful type which smashes Rock, Steel, Dark or Normal types apart! But, they’re weak to Flying types, Psychic and Fairy types, so consider your team well! Also consider that Hector’s… well, he’s a bit of an oddball. He doesn’t typically just challenge people to normal Pokémon battles for his Gym challenge. Expect to be given a strange challenge he may or may not have made up on the spot! So, do you feel ready?’
And so, sooner or later, Erza entered the gym and announced his presence.

‘WELL YOU CAME TO THE RIGHT PLACE THEN!!!’ ‘MACHOOOOOOOOOOOOKE!!!’
Aside from the immediate reply from a man shouting while wrestling with a Machoke, the first thing that hit Erza as he entered was the smell of hard effort, likely to cause anyone used to the more proper class to flee in terror. There was no air-conditioning here, yet it very much felt like he had walked into a real gym, with all the efforts that went into that. Pokémon and people alike were lifting barbells, punching punching bags and sparring hard with different martial arts. Black Belts, Battle Girls and their Pokémon were competing both against one another and against their trainers. Numerous humans were trying to wrestle their Pokémon… with what appeared to be extremely minimal success on account of the strength of the Pokémon, but they were trying.
It quickly became apparent that the maintenance outside was because the residents of the gym were constantly hurting their own buildings. The roof where the chains were attached audibly croaked as the punching bags took superhuman hits, there were cracks all over the walls in places where opponents had been thrown, many of the walls were built out of considerably different materials, likely added later in order to keep the building from completely crashing down on the inhabitants. The screams were quickly confirmed to be either just trainers or Pokémon shouting out before a strike… or crying out in pain after one.
And… so many Pokémon. Yet, there seemed to be little distinction between Pokémon and person, each living being in here collectively trying to become stronger by themselves, using the same machines, using the same methods, and sparring against one another without bothering to think about genetic makeup. Only the detail that the Pokémon were way stronger than the humans.
There were Machops here and there, helping with bringing the larger Pokémon their equipment or training themselves, they seemed to be the helpers of the Gym, mostly.
Pokédex Entry #66 – Machop, the Superpower Pokémon. A Machop is built up by a special muscle, which despite its size makes it stronger than 100 humans and will never tire no matter how much it strains itself. This combined with their general availability makes them a common choice for helping humans with manual labours.
Pokédex Entry #67 – Machoke, the Superpower Pokémon. It is known to help people with extremely tough labour in order to toughen up. It’s muscles is as hard as steel, yet it still needs to wear a belt which holds back its energy in order to not tear itself apart with its own strength. It can pick up a truck with one hand, and will never get tired.
While there were plenty of Machokes, there was only one Machamp, standing looking over the room with pride in his face, four arms flexing.
Pokédex Entry #68 – Machamp, the Superpower Pokémon. It is known as the Pokémon that can supposedly throw 1000 punches in two seconds. Machamps are masters of many martial arts, and with four arms it can strike in many unexpected angles. They’re very quick to action, don’t think before they leap, and are absolutely terrible at any form of delicate task.
There were Hitmonlees kicking and Hitmonchans punching punching bags from different directions…
Pokédex Entry #106 – Hitmonlee, the Kicking Pokémon. It’s legs can stretch and contract for considerable range and its balance means it can kick from any position. After a battle, it rubs its legs to relax the muscles and release the tension. It runs smoothly with long, loping strides.
Pokédex Entry #107 – Hitmonchan, the Punching Pokémon. Said to possess the spirit of a boxer working for world champion. While seemingly resting it can throw punches so quick the eye cannot catch them, and their arms spin when punching to increase power. Trainers need to beware that they need to take pauses to rest every three minutes while fighting.
Medichams either sitting and meditating, some with their trainers, others were joining into sparring.
Pokédex Entry #308 – Medicham, the Meditate Pokémon. A Medicham has, through starvation, meditation and yoga, sharpened its mind to see the auras of others. It has a sixth sense which predicts the movements of its enemies, and fights with graceful dance-like steps to avoid attacks. It can hide its presence by merging itself with fields or mountains.
Throhs and Sawks were both active in the sparring sections, or just training to become more powerful…
Pokédex Entry #538 – Throh, the Judo Pokémon. It is known to make belts for itself out of vines, and increase in power when said belts are tightened. When it encounters a foe larger than itself, a Throh is filled with an irresistible desire to throw its foe. It changes belts as it gets stronger. In the wild, they always travel in packs of five.
Pokédex Entry #539 – Sawk, the Karate Pokémon. They train day and night without sleep in the mountains, seeking the most powerful Karate Chop. Tying their belts make them more fired up and therefore somehow stronger, disturbing a fired-up Sawk in the midst of training will launch them into an insatiable rage against their disturber.
A single Pangoro was walking through the gym, sometimes bellowing at random people or Pokémon who were looking tired, himself seeming to be some sort of motivational figure, as whoever was yelled at immediately redoubled their efforts while the Pangoro wandered on.
Pokédex Entry #675 – Pangoro, the Daunting Pokémon. It is known to be violent in battle, raging forth at enemies like in a berserker rage. To earn the respect of a Pangoro, a trainer will need to learn to fist-fight with it occasionally. It is, however, quite kind-hearted and will defend companions or the weak in the face of oppressors. Twitches in its bamboo leaf somehow allows it to predict an opponent’s moves.
‘DON’T SHOUT WORDS IN THE GYM!’ ‘YEAH, YOU CAN GET THE POKEMON RILED UP!’ ‘HEY, WHAT’S GOING ON!?’ ‘WE’VE GOT A GYM CHALLENGER!’ ‘OH, THERE HE IS! HE’S CUTE! CAN I EAT HIM!?’ ‘BLAST IT, CHARLINE, THIS IS A POKÉMON GYM, DON’T SCARE THE KID WITH YOUR-!’ ‘SAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK!’ ‘MEDICHAAAAAAAAAAM!’ ‘PANGOROOOOOOOOOOO!’ ‘HITMONCHAAAAAAAN!’ ‘MAAAAAAAAACHAAAAAAAAAAAMP!’ ‘GREAT, NOW YOU GOT THE POKÉMON SHOUTING!’ ‘BUT, HEY, THIS IS KINDA FUN, ISN’T IT!?’ ‘QUIET, YOU ALL! IF A POKÉMON LEAGUE EXAMINER SAW US NOW…!’
‘HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA…!’ the man who had originally shouted at Erza laughed, and somehow his laugh quieted the rest, as he got up on his feet after having been decked by his Machoke. He had slightly spiky orange head on the top of his head, but wore nothing on the top of his body, showing off an amazingly muscular body while his eyes focused forward, full of intent and battle-lust while stretching his muscles a bit after the battle, waving them about a bit. He was handed a coat by a Machop, trying to pull it on, wind up his left arm and glare eagerly at Erza all at the same time…
‘Going into a new gym and proudly announcing your intentions, full of vigour and determination? I LIKE YOUR GUTS!’ Hector announced, sounding pleased.
‘NOOOOW… What kind of challenge should I put you throoouuugh…!?’ Hector grinned as he thought, bringing one hand to his chin. ‘First things first! What level are your Pokémon!?’ Hector asked, excitedly. Apparently he was going to keep this in mind.
‘Hey, boss, can I have him!? His face is handsome, makes me want to dip it in soap and wipe the floors with it!’ the same Battle Girl that had made the comment about “eating” Erza asked with a grin.
‘It HAS been a while since we’ve got to challenge challengers…!’ a Black Belt told, giving a bit of a smirk as he did.
‘Oooh? Hmmm… Yeeaah… I got an idea. I GOT AN IDEA! A BRILLIANT IDEA!’ Hector announced, his eyes lighting up.
‘He’s excited about his idea. You’re in for it, now,’ a nearby Battle Girl turned and told Erza with a normal voice, giving him a smile as she did. There were happy murmurs around the gym.
‘LISTEN UP!’ Hector called, and all was silent. ‘You three,’ Hector said, pointing to the three that had just spoken. ‘Prepare two Pokémon each with which to battle our challenger!’
‘Remember that we’re a Minor League Gym, don’t overwhelm the kid,’ a Black Belt said from the back.
‘Pfth. Spoilsport,’ first Battle Girl said.
‘Alright, YOU!’ Hector tells, pointing at Erza. ‘You will face three of my Gym Trainers! They will each use two Pokémon, and against each of them YOU will only use two Pokémon! You can only use each Pokémon in your party against a single Gym Trainer, dividing your team in three! Show me that each section of your team is a mighty combatant in its own right!’
‘After each battle, EVEN IF YOU LOSE, move onto the next trainer! You’re not permitted to heal your Pokémon at any point! So, in the end, after all three trainers, you’re bound to have a group of pretty damaged Pokémon, won’t you? Well…’ Hector grins.
‘That’s when you, along with whatever might have survived of your team, faces ME!’ Hector announced, crossing his arms with determination. ‘After your fierce trials, when hope seems lost and you can only dream of a Pokémon Center around the corner, THAT is when your most horrific of trials materialize! Regardless of what state you’re in when that happens, I want you to FACE IT! TRIUMPH OVER IT! LET ME SEE YOUR DETERMINATION WHILE WALLOWING IN THE DEPTHS OF DESPAIR! LET ME SEE IF YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO EARN YOURSELF MY CHALLENGE BADGE! HAHAHAHAHA…!’ Hector laughed out loud. There’s numerous ‘ooo’s in the audience of gym trainers.
‘Hey! I really like this challenge! I gotta remember it for later!’ Hector says with a grin. ‘Though, you three! Show him ahead of time what Pokémon you’ll be using! That way he can properly strategize what Pokémon to use against each of you!’
‘Aw, no element of surprise?’ pouted the Battle Girl he’d be facing third. ‘Oh, fine, then.’
‘Alright, then!’ called the first Battle Girl. ‘I’m Charline, and I’m taking you on first~!’ she called, happy for some action, bringing out two Pokémon.
Pokédex Entry #307 – Meditite, the Meditate Pokémon. It is found deep in mountains, meditating for hours on end and surviving on a berry a day. It trains its spirit, and by heightening its inner strength it somehow achieved levitation. It also enjoys daily yoga workouts.
Pokédex Entry #538 – Throh, the Judo Pokémon. It is known to make belts for itself out of vines, and increase in power when said belts are tightened. When it encounters a foe larger than itself, a Throh is filled with an irresistible desire to throw its foe. It changes belts as it gets stronger. In the wild, they always travel in packs of five.
‘I’m Dale! I’ll take you on second!’ the Black Belt said, determined to do some damage, with two other Pokémon.
Pokédex Entry #296 – Makuhita, the Guts Pokémon. Its body has a specific makeup that gains energy from being hit. Each time it’s struck down, it rises using the energy from the hit and stores some of the energy for eventual evolution. It loves to toughen its body above all else, happily undertaking harsh training.
Pokédex Entry #453 – Croagunk, the Toxic Mouth Pokémon. Its cheeks hold poison sacks. It tries to catch foes off guard and jab them with toxic fingers. It rarely fights fairly, in order to ensure survival. While poisonous, the fluids from its fingers are significant ingredients in multiple remedies.
‘And I’m Madeline,’ the last Battle Girl said. ‘And I have a special little surprise for you today.’ That said, she let out her two Pokémon.
Pokédex Entry #56 – Mankey, the Pig Monkey Pokémon. It lives in treetop colonies. It is unsafe to approach as it is extremely ill-tempered and can become violently enraged for no reason, and when one of them becomes angry the whole colony follows suit. They are very nimble, escaping an enraged Mankey can be very difficult.
Pokédex Entry #701 – Hawlucha, the Wrestling Pokémon. Although its body is small, its proficient fighting skills enable it to keep up with big bruisers like Machamp and Hariyama. With its wings, it controls its position in the air. It likes to attack from above, a maneuver that is difficult to defend against.
‘Yeah. I have a shiny Hawlucha!’ Madeline boasted.
‘So you do,’ Hector said, in a tone that told that everyone in the room had heard that one before.
‘Now, FIGHT!’
And so, Erza would need to pick out two of his Pokémon to fight each team that the Gym Trainers were putting forward. I implore that those are picked before the following hiders for their battle strategies are opened. Otherwise, go!
Charline’s going to be cheeky and call Meditite to Bide just as Erza commits to the first hit. If Bide hits, Charline will have Meditite attack with a combo of Detect and Power-Up Punches! Pure Power doubles the Meditite’s attack stat!
… Charline’s going to be cheeky and Bide again! After that, Bind… which when it’s a Throh is a much more dangerous grappling move than when it’s any other Pokémon, hah. Otherwise, Power-Up Punch. Inner Focus prevents flinching!
Other than starting with a blindingly fast Fake Out to flinch the enemy, Makuhita will attempt to Sand Attack the opponent into missing to then strike it down with Power-Up Punches. Guts ups attack if under a Status Effect!
Croagunk is going to Mud-Slap to decrease the opponent’s accuracy, and then Power-Up Punch! Anticipation will make it shudder if the opponent has a super-effective move.
Power-Up Punch after Power-Up Punch. The enraged monkey will dart forward with its nimbleness to just punch and punch and punch. Anger Point will raise its attack if it takes a Critical Hit.
This one will intend to entirely sweep you. Power-Up Punch first, then Roost if it gets too damaged, then Power-Up Punch again. Limber prevents paralysis!

Wild Magikarps does not have the thought-process to think of Struggling to do damage, they just Splash. Hence, Mac was allowed to Scratch the poor fish with impunity to gain some arguably not-very-well-earned levels.
Mac grew to level 6! Mac learned Ember!
And as soon as Ember was learned, Karrablasts and Shelmets were easy prey, letting Mac combat some more competent enemies for better part of the night in order to get stronger.

Pokédex Entry #198 – Murkrow, the Darkness Pokémon. Commonly found near forests when it’s dark, they’re feared as alleged bearer of ill fortune upon those who see it. If spotted, it will attempt to lure the chaser onto mountain trials or forests where they’d get lost. It shows strong interest in anything that sparkles, and will attempt stealing it.
Couple Murkrows here and there seeking food and creeping by people’s windows to find things to steal or other things. They were only active when they believed everyone had gone to bed, when they could start their looting. They’d still avoid any humans or Pokémon that proved to be awake, but he could work around this. Skylar had failed to catch the previous Murkrow he had attempted to catch… but perhaps he’d be more lucky grabbing one of these now? He’d need to corner one, first, though.

Highhill Town
Highhill Town is a small, lively place that has seemingly stood atop this hill from time immemorial and never really changed. The atmosphere in Highhill Town is much fresher than surrounding places, the buildings are older and the work as honest as ever. The old town is populated by elders and younglings aplenty, and the town has a culture of their own. Plenty of Pokémon assist with the work, either as work-force or the animals that work is being done on.
One usually only crosses Highhill Town on a trip to or from Pureplain City. Regardless, it is a place of beauty. The fields around it are cultivated by hard-working people and Pokémon while the lake to the east gleams in the sunshine as fishermen attend it. There are small roads of asphalt spiraling up the hill to lead to all the old buildings, and children playing around in stairs or nature is very common.
It is said that a trainer praying at the nearby Silent Shrine will be blessed on their journey, so many travel to Highhill Town just for that. There’s also a set of very ancient rocks spread about town, pointing out towards the lake on top of the hill with some engravings. What they mean? Nobody knows. Also, Highhill Town is the residence of a certain Move Changer, whose abilities are sought by some new trainers. What he can do? Visit him to find out.
1. Find Pokémon. Can still search for Pokémon in towns~ 2. Talk. In cities and towns, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the town to any of the connected areas. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Buildings. Visit any of the facilities of the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Pokémon Gym. ??? 6.4. Docks. For fishermen or perhaps a ticket across Route 14. 6.5. Ancient Rocks. Of completely unknown origin, ancient writing on them. 6.6. Ranch. There are ranches around Highhill, if you stand to gain from them. 6.7. Move Changer. We can guess from the name, but what can this man do? 6.8. Mayor’s House. If you see reason to visit, it’s right by the rocks.
Connected areas: Route 1. To the south, is the common route of first journeys. Green and straight. Route 3. To the north, the route to Rainrock or the Silent Shrine. A wet woodland. Route 14. To the east, the lake known as the Dragon Lake, potentially for crossing. Path to Silent Shrine. To the west, the Silent Forest and the path to the shrine within.
(PpP - P per Person, the whole team are fed for free after)
1. Briger Burgers - 100 PpP. Just a street-stand selling burgers made by one guy named Briger. He has a Meowth that plays with the customers.
2. Lotad Loafers - 300 PpP. Questionable Lotad-themed place where the servers are Lotads walking on bridges between the tables. They sell sandwiches and quickly-cooked meals. A sign assures customers that you don’t eat Lotads.
3. Wiggly Waffles - 500 PpP. A colorful corner where this guy has a Wigglytuff that is supposedly makes amazing waffles! … And, uh, virtually nothing else.
4. Suns and Rivers - 1000 PpP. A decent place with a third-floor altitude giving view over Redcoast’s sunset, beaches and water, with decent food. Don’t exactly expect to be blown away by the culinary experience, but it’s good.
5. Lundin’s Fine Establishment - 3000 PpP. Just a really nice place in the middle of a very populated street that smells nice, looks pristine and serves well, both to you and your Pokémon! It’s typically very crowded due to its fame, however.
6. Dreamer’s Corner - 5000 PpP. In cooperation with Dreamer Studios and the Pokémon Contest Hall, this place allows you to sit on a special VIP restaurant seating that lets you eat while watching Pokémon Contests to the finest foods imaginable!
Erza's told that Lundin's has the best Pokémon food, though there are always fans of the other examples. A surprising amount recommend Briger Burgers, for some reason.
Vee VS Spearow. Spearow is what you might call a Glass Cannon, with high attack and speed but pretty fragile, compared to Vee’s pretty balanced set-up. However, Spearow proved to be lucky, too, as after Baby-Doll Eyes Spearow got in a maximum amount of Fury Attacks on Vee. Fortunately, due to Vee’s first move being on a range he got the upper hand in the move exchange, and two Swifts did enough to strike down the Spearow, but not before Spearow got in another full five Fury Attacks, leaving Vee pretty damaged. Though…

Taillow Pecked Mareep! … Then got zapped by Thundershock!
Ducklett shot a Water Gun at Mareep! … Then got x4’d by Thundershock!
Zubat Supersoniced and got Mareep Confused! … Mareep fought through and Thundershocked Zubat anyway!
Mareep grew to level 15! Mareep learned Charge!

A light shone in around the sheep Pokémon, as it was preparing to change into its next shape. Mareep is able to stop the evolution if she so wishes. However, if not, her shape’s going to elongate, from standing on four to standing on two legs, and…!
Pokédex Entry #180 – Flaaffy, the Wool Pokémon. Its fluffy fleece stores electricity, while its rubbery hide protects it from shocking itself. However, as it stores too much electricity, it develops patches where wool won’t grow. If its coat becomes fully charged, the tail lights up. It’s able to fire its “hair”, which zaps a target on contact.
Congratulations! Your Mareep evolved into a Flaaffy!

Now, against Ulrika.
Princess VS Vulpix. Princess started with Gust… only to find that the enemy Vulpix had exceptional Special Defense. She managed to relatively dodge an Ember, and then go in for a Tackle. There was a bit of a close-range struggle as Vulpix attempted to Ember at the bird up close, Princess doing more and more damage while Vulpix managed to get an Ember or two in in return. Princess was doing fine and about to win… when Vulpix turned and managed to predict Princess’ attack angle and blasted an Ember straight on. Critical Hit! Princess fainted. A heavily damaged Vulpix turns to face Erza’s next Pokémon.
Still going to get experience for that, though.

Against Mareep, it was Budew… for a second, and then it was Vulpix, which had around the same effect as Sunny Day as harsh sunlight came down. Vulpix got paralyzed by a Thunder Wave, but that didn’t stop her. It became an Ember VS Thunder Shock match, and due to the harsh sunlight shining overhead Vulpix held the advantage, firing until Mareep was a cooked sheep that fell fainted.
Budew grew to level 8! Budew learned Water Sport!
Vulpix grew to level 12! Vulpix learned Confuse Ray!
Vee VS Eevee. On account of this Eevee being male, it is not the Eevee from before. Baby-Doll Eyes and Tail Whip was exchanged, which basically neutralized the other, before one went to Swift and the other went to Tackle! And now… now was a performance where one were more skilled than the other. Vee had two levels on the Eevee, and Eevee over here was freshly caught while Vee was more used to trainer VS trainer battle by now. Vee pretty easily came out on top.

Budew VS Chingling… nope, psyke, Poochyena VS Chingling! Chingling’s Confusion didn’t go well. Chingling’s going to have to go with Wrap, then! … Yeah, no, Poochyena’s going to bite it to pieces.

Poochyena grew to level 13! Poochyena learned Odor Sleuth!
Vulpix VS Blitzle. Baby-Doll Eyes decreased Blitzle’s attack as it Quick Attacked away, and then it became a Ember VS Shock Wave battle. Shock Wave WOULD have been the stronger move… but Draught brought a scorching sun into the battle, as well as the fact the typical Vulpix has twice the Special Defense of a Blitzle, and so Vulpix could take the thunder way better than Blitzle could take Vulpix’s enhanced fireballs. Three Embers later, and Blitzle fainted.
Vulpix grew to level 13!
Budew VS Dwebble! Budew starts by using Growth, increasing its Attack and Special Attack dramatically! Dwebble starts shooting rocks at Budew, shooting three rocks but Budew managed to dodge one of them. Dwebble’s high attack still meant this stung! But, with enhanced power, Budew still went for Absorb! Growth had efficiently turned Absorb into Mega Drain, draining Dwebble of some health. Attacking Special Defense was definitely the right move on Dwebble, having weak such… but Budew had weak Defense in turn. In the next round, Dwebble shot a full five rocks into Budew, who barely held on, Absorbing health back but not enough to last another round.
Erza switched to Poochyena, who immediately performed pretty well dodging three out of four rocks of a Rock Blast. Dwebble now went for the super-effective Fury Cutter, while Poochyena went for Bite, and-
Poochyena bit first, causing considerable damage to Dwebble, but Dwebble sliced back and- yowch! Maybe Poochyena got a cool scar from it? … Critical Hit! Super Effective! Poochyena survived only with a slight bit of health on account of being the higher leveled Pokémon. … Poochyena then bit again, and Dwebble fainted.
Budew grew to level 11! Budew learned Stun Spore!
Budew probably became happier with Erza as a trainer, too.

Zigzagoon having Tackle, Growl, Tail Whip and possibly Sand Attack. Budew had Absorb and Growth. Pidove had Gust and Growl.
Vee, Princess, and Budew having no trouble rounding up the local Pokémon, the latter admittedly only against Zigzagoon and only after long battles against other Budews, but quite a few needed to defeat quite a few of them to level up, probably won’t achieve over level 13 on this route.

Back in Redcoast City, now. What would Erza like to do?
Redcoast City
Redcoast City. Named so for the beautiful twilights that this sea is said to provide on the nights by the sandy beaches to the immediate west. Perhaps it is due to the perpetual rain over Rainrock, but it almost never rains here, and what started out as simply a pathway between Worldedge and Pureplain grew into a small city in its own right. Here, people mainly gather for the outpost towards the sea and to spend a well-deserved vacation. The buildings here are a mix of old fancy styles rich people might appreciate and healthy modern buildings, many green trees and pools of water invite nature in here. But the city is also not big enough to intimidate the average visitor, many open spaces exist with fresh vacation-air going through town, a homely feeling. Redcoast is close enough to Pureplain to be able to partake in all sorts of worldly delicacies, and hotels as well as restaurants of the fanciest kinds exist along the streets. But these things isn’t the main reason why Pokémon Trainers would be coming to Redcoast City,
A Pokémon Gym exists, one which all Pokémon Trainers who wish to partake in the Pokémon League needs to enter eventually. It is said to be a run-down warehouse that emits an evil aura and cries of pain can be heard from within frightening those who’d wish to visit. For a Pokémon Coordinator, this is also the city where their adventure starts, with the Contest Hall allowing tryouts for the newest talents and Dreamer Studios allowing for training within the field for those wishing to take on the world. Closer to the water lies the Surfer’s Club, where one can partake in training and sports for those who wishes to ride their Pokémon across the waves along with other activities. And then, also closer to the sea, is a large building where Team Virtue resides in their West Base opposite their main base in Justroad City, reminding that this place us under their guard. They’re always accepting applicants.

Fortunately, Seabreeze only really needed to worry about Murkrows because all other wild Pokémon were too scared/intelligent to do anything but bail as long as Entei stood there. The legendary beast kept his eyes on Skylar as he approached… and gave a slight warning gruff of a sound, indicating that he wasn’t about to let Skylar touch his mane as things were. That said, Skylar was allowed to walk pretty close. Skylar asked his question, even while standing so close to the massive pressure of the fiery lion…
Entei nodded. With a slightly somber but slightly satisfied expression, the mighty beast bowed its head just the slightest before bringing it back up, affirming that indeed, this was the case. After this, Entei lowered his head to grab into the back of Mareep with his mouth, the Mareep giving a distressed little cry as the wool Pokémon was lifted up, and then Entei turned around and leapt back into the forest, quickly disappearing among the trees.
‘… There he goes,’ says the farmer, who just reappeared by the fence behind Skylar. ‘Well. I’m not going to deduct pay for that one, what could you have done? He appears every now and then, and, well. No worries. I have a LOT of Mareep eggs. I’ll consider it my offering, I suppose. If ya ever want to see him again, you can just work here, and he may show up,’ the farmer said.
‘In any case. That’s all I need you for. Well done,’ the farmer said, and handed over the payment.

Ranch. There are ranches around Highhill, if you stand to gain from them. 6.7. Move Changer. We can guess from the name, but what can this man do? 6.8. Mayor’s House. If you see reason to visit, it’s right by the rocks.
Connected areas: Route 1. To the south, is the common route of first journeys. Green and straight. Route 3. To the north, the route to Rainrock or the Silent Shrine. A wet woodland. Route 14. To the east, the lake known as the Dragon Lake, potentially for crossing. Path to Silent Shrine. To the west, the Silent Forest and the path to the shrine within.
Yamask followed after when Amelia went to the Golett and Honedge a bit further away. Golett stood straight and official, silent and on-guard like in the presence of a commander still, while Honedge floated with what almost looked like a frown on the face in the scabbard of the floating sword. Amelia started to explain the situation…
"… Lord Aegislash has allowed me to take you all out of the tomb and with me on my journey…"
Golett suddenly piqued awake, looking at Amelia, and then stepped forward and did a nod with its entire torso towards her. Apparently, that was all Golett needed to hear. The rest that Amelia had to say didn’t change that.

Honedge looked a bit more unconvinced, looking Amelia over for a bit. He looked over towards Aegislash a bit, and they stared at one another. Presumably, some form of contact was taking place, whereas Honedge was being given a bit of information about this individual who’d he be joining. Honedge eventually turned and looked towards Amelia, one of the eyes of the scabbard tilting a bit, as raising eyebrows didn’t really work on the eyebrow-less scabbard. Eventually, though…
‘… Honedge!’ Sounded like he’d accept the challenge.

On principle, the average Pokémon should not mind being placed in boxes, or the system would never have been implemented in the first place. That said, Pokémon can have individual preferences, you know the drill. I’ll leave that discussion for you to resolve.
When Eryn started talking about having him or another Onix in her team, Onix raised his head higher, to look down upon the little human talking. He kept still, Diglett doing the same, inspecting Eryn and letting her finish her little speech. After she was done talking, Onix kept silent for a bit, considering her words. Then… he directed his head closer and roared.
The cavern shook somewhat underneath her feet, many surrounding Digletts that were around fleeing, though not the particular Diglett next to her. It was probably hard to interpret the roar. Challenge? A command for her to get her ass out of here? However… a couple of seconds after the giant roar, the cavern started shaking once again. More shaking. From more than one direction.
Seconds later, another Onix showed up through a tunnel to Eryn’s right, the giant rock-snake emerging and standing tall. Then, another Onix showed up in a similar fashion to her left. Then behind her. Then slightly to her right behind and above her, a giant rock-snake looking on as the head stuck out of the ceiling. A final one in front of her to the left, emerging from the ground next to the Onix that had guided her here, placing herself next to him. Eryn and her Pokémon found themselves surrounded by five different Onix.
‘Oooooooooonnnniiiiix… Ooooooooonnnn…!’ the one she’d met roared more silently to her, pointing about his tail at the rest of them.
Translation for Dei and Eri: ‘If you wish to collect an Onix, there is more than me. I am yet beyond your power, but one of my kin here may not be… You’ll have to show your mettle in battle for any of us to join you…!’
He then turned and spoke something to the Onix next to him, and she gave him a bit of a glare. Yet, then she reached forth her tail… and placed something on the ground in front of them.
‘Ooooooonnnn… Niiiiiiiix…!’
Translation for Dei and Eri: ‘Alternatively, an adventure in the world at large is something I could wish for my child… You can make a powerful warrior out of what comes from this egg…!’
If Eryn checks the egg, it’s already close to hatching. She wouldn’t have to wait for long.
‘Diglett!’ Diglett called in amazement.
Eryn’s actions?
Eryn emerges from the mountainside a bit lower than the actual exit from Wet Caverns. She can see a road that heads up a hill into the mountain, but she’s to the right of the hill, meaning she needs to do a bit of a climb to get up to the road. There’s a great river and more mountainside to the right, stretching on to the right of the route, but at the very least it is not blocking the way the same way the mountain of the Wet Caverns is. She needs to get onto the road, because assumingly she wants to cross the bridge up ahead that will carry her over the river. She takes a couple steps, then-
The earth shakes behind her, and a loud crashing sound echoes behind her. Onix had collapsed the new entrance she had come through. A new entrance that went directly down into the territory was less than desirable, after all, and as such it was destroyed when the need that had created it was on her way. There was no going back that way… unless she came back with an equally powerful digger, anyway.
Eryn could head on, anyway. To the left was the great expanse of water that was Route 14, otherwise known as the Dragon Lake. Moving on from there, she could head forth to the town that awaited her. She had to cross a bridge, but when she got there, she found the place to be… partly submerged.
Lakewatch Town
As one looks upon Lakewatch, it is clear it was once built by the side of the water. Yet, over time, Dragon Lake has actually increased in volume, the water-level rising and swallowing the town. Then the natural conclusion would be to move the town back, follow the water-level, and rebuild at the new shore, right? That, does not appear to have been the thought that went through the minds of the designers of this Town, which is essentially placed out in the water on top of older buildings, the streets of the town flooded in water and to get around one has to make use of their many canoes or get on the back of a Pokémon. Quagsires seem to be strangely prefered, and there are Woopers hanging around in the waters blankly.
The town of Lakewatch rises fairly high for its size, and vegetation grows pretty freely around the buildings. Most buildings and streets have white floating cobblestone to walk on either side of the streets, with a river of water flowing in the middle. People here are highly accustomed to this, and the streets are constantly bustling with people heading back and forth, as well as people actually gliding down from the higher buildings from the roofs above using strange little paragliders. It appears people live in the higher floors, while business takes place on ground/water-level. There are canoes basically everywhere that anyone’s free to borrow, townspeople commonly jumping down on a canoe, using the force of the jump to drift it to the other side and then simply jump off.
Now, anyone could hear from the name that Lakewatch Town is the town that basically rules the Dragon Lake. The Lakewatchers are a group of people that regularly patrol the waters, and become friends with the dragons that live there. Tours by the Lakewatchers are the primary tourist attraction of the place, along with the fish that is procured from the same lake, and guides are trained to show the way in any surrounding areas. Their boats are also those who trade with the western side through Highhill, keeping the place alive and busy. Plus, there’s always the rumors of treasure or otherwise hiding deep in Flooded Lakewatch, and Descent Tower looms in the middle of town for those hoping to explore… but who really knows? It’s a nice and different place, definitely.
Pokédex Entry #194 – Wooper, the Water Fish Pokémon. It lives in cold water, sleeping on the bottom and seeking food by the shore when it's cold. When walking above water, wild Woopers cover their bodies with a slimy, poisonous film that keeps them from dehydrating. It's slightly dull-witted.
Pokédex Entry #195 – Quagsire, the Water Fish Pokémon. A very easy-going Pokémon, they swim about and don’t even mind if they bump their heads into things. When hunting, it simply opens its mouth and moves no muscles, waiting for prey to blunder in. When not moving, it expands very little energy and does not need food for a long time.
Note, one basically has to cross water to get through this town. It’s not going to be used to slow anyone down, but to be considered when writing a post about crossing it.
What would Eryn do here?
1. Find Pokémon. There’s plenty of water here. Could be any number of Water Pokémon in the different rivers through town. 2. Talk. In cities, there are considerably more people one can talk to. Talking can give you info on local rumors and such. 3. Exit. Exit the town to any of the connected areas. 4. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 5. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 6. Notable Buildings. Visit any of the facilities of the city! 6.1. Pokémon Center. Heal all your Pokémon. 6.2. PokéMart. Go to a store and buy things. 6.3. Pokémon Gym. ??? 6.4. Lakewatcher Base. From where Lakewatchers embark to patrol Dragon Lake. 6.5. Lakewatch Docks. For getting tours of Dragon Lake, just taking a ferry or fishing! 6.6. Explorer’s Guide Service. With all these strange places around, Lakewatch offers guides to the surrounding areas! 6.7. Descent Tower. A tower in the middle of town, with stairs down to Flooded Lakewatch. Come prepared for the underwater. 6.8. Back Alleys. … What? Lakewatch has a darker section? What are you talking about?
Connected areas: Wet Caverns. Water-filled caverns that are located to the east. There’s a small hill to climb to get to the entrance. Route 5. The main exit of Lakewatch, leading to a grassy incline connecting mountains, forests and plains. Route 14. The waters of Dragon Lake are also known as Route 14. It connects Lakewatch Town, Highhill Town and Stillwood Village.
Actually, Water Gun and Vine Whip has normal effect on Gible, part-ground type! However, does Jenelle know that?
‘Grr, dragon! That means Water Gun is ineffective! Alright! Panpour, use Scratch!’ Jenelle commanded, pointing forth.
She does not.
Panpours are faster than Gibles on average, so Panpour got in a Scratch on Gibs first… but then had a Sandstorm erupted into its face. After being buffeted once and getting that Gibs is pretty tough, Panpour used Leer to reduce Gibs Defense successfully, but was then hit in the face by a Sand-Attack. Now Panpour dashed in to Scratch again, but mid-sandstorm and with sand in the face, Panpour had a hard time hitting anything and was buffeted by the sandstorm, and Gibs just sent more sand into its face. By some stroke of luck Panpour managed to hit the next Scratch, but then was promptly Dragon Raged. Panpour stuck around by eating its Sitrus Berry and then tried to attack again… missing terribly and then fainting to the next Dragon Rage.
Pansear was next, revealing the theme of Jenelle’s Pokémon. It goes immediately on the offensive, which Gibs responds to by sending sand in its face. With Sand-Veil in place it means that Pansear misses all four of its Scratches as the fire monkey desperately tears into the sandstorm and, albeit the sandstorm dissipated after the second Sand-Attack, Pansear still missed and Gibs could just set up Sandstorm again and Dragon Rage the poor blind monkey to fainting again without having taken any damage.
Completing the trio was Pansage. It was Sand-Attacked in the face, but despite all of that, it still landed the first Scratch. Gibs had taken quite a bit of damage, now, but was still trucking and shot another Sand-Attack in Pansage’s face. Pansage missed the next Scratch, and then got Dragon Raged again, the dragon-type flames making the monkey cry out from damage and being flung back to eat its Sitrus Berry. It somehow hit the next Scratch, leaving Gibs with perilously little health left… but the next Dragon Rage took out Pansage as well, meaning Gibs had effectively taken out all of Jenelle’s Pokémon on his own.
Gibs grew to level 15! Gibs learned Take Down!
Erika was victorious! Erika gained 546P for winning!
‘Nooooooooooo! My Pans! I-it cost so much to complete the set…!’ Jenelle complained, placing her hands on her head in panic after they all lay defeated. She then looked to Erika in mild panic, then smiled a panicked businessman’s smile and held a hand forward to her.
‘H-hey! Y-you’re pretty good, but how about this? You let me have that Farfetch’d, and I’ll use the money from the client to order whatever Pokémon you want! No matter how rare, Team Amethyst can procure it for you! H-honestly, I’m more concerned about my reputation within the team right now than I am of the money, so if I get to seem competent, you can use it! I get the credit for catching the Pokémon, while you get Amethyst to bring you the Pokémon of your dreams for you, for no cost and no strings attached! Th-that’s a sweet deal, right!?’
So Jenelle attempted, desperate.
‘Far…?’ Farfetch’d asked, behind Erika.
What would Erika do?
… Now, if she declines, Jenelle is probably just going to reply to what Erika says and then run off in a panic with her fainted monkeys, so here’s the Mountain Valley again for the next action. Of course, the next action could be addressing Farfetch’d, but in case it isn’t.
Mountain Valley
Pressed in between Mt. Strength and Mt. Chill, the Mountain Valley are a set of highlands that someone decided to make a thin but traversable road that can be travested by walking. At the edge between where it’d be too cold to climb due to cold, this mountainous region is filled with green hills with plenty of grass and plenty of winds. Here, many bird-Pokémon enjoys floating on the winds or eating small bugs in the many botches of grass around in this area reasonably untouched by human hands. In the north, the jagged peaks of Mt. Strength looms, but to the south the far taller frozen mountain range of Mt. Chill towers above… but that doesn’t affect those who travel this windy road right now.
1. Find Pokémon. Can be specified what kind of Pokémon is being searched for, and how you search. 2. Train Pokémon. With this command, we can jump ahead in time and skip posting about grinding. 3. Seek trainers. Though most people around here seems to just be people enjoying the view together or alone. 4. Talk. There are some people around, enjoying the evening in the woods. Maybe speak with them if you want. 5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. 6. Hurry along. Intentionally avoid confrontations and try to get safely to the next destination. 7. Specify. If you specify what you want to do, the GM will take it into account and tell the result. 8. Trigger random event. Force the GM to use his imagination to make a scenario for you. 9. Area Specific: Climb. Not the recommended path onto Mt. Strength, but it looks like you could theoretically climb with the right tools. Mt. Chill is way too steep, though.
Connected areas: Stillwood Village. A village hidden inside a forest, connected by the Mountain Valley road. Route 10. The farmlands feeding Worldedge City awaits to the east, giving a mystic feeling.
It should be noted Claire left the roulette with 1130 coins.
Togepi looked a little confused at Claire’s suddenly patting him, but then looked up happily, waving his tiny arms at her.
‘Togepi!’
‘Biscuit, huh? You’re a bold one,’ the queen commented. ‘In that case, I shall bet 100 coins as well.’
‘Here’s a little primary,’ Valerie said, smiling as she turned to the race. ‘Lucky won last race, and Empress had a winning streak before that. Biscuit will always be annoyed at whoever just won, more annoyed the more they’ve won in a row. Lucky has a tendency to exhaust herself when she wins, so she rarely wins twice in a row. However, Biscuit will still go for her, and Empress is between Biscuit and Lucky. Now, Empress is usually skilled enough to avoid Biscuit, but she rarely performs well right after a loss due to the shock of losing a long winning streak, like the one she just had. As such, I believe the winner will be…’ Valerie held out her money and made her bet.
‘… Zodiac. He seems to have his heads on straight, today,’ she said, like she had solved the puzzle, her own hand going over to pat the Togepi as she did.
‘Toge!’ Togepi called.
And so, the Dodrios got into a row. Order was Zodiac, Biscuit, Grassball, Empress, Lucky, like the order of the bettings. Now, after a bit of preparation, a Bronzong’s bell was hit to call the beginning of the race…
And Biscuit starts the entire thing by ramming to the right, because that’s apparently allowed.
He misses Grassball, mostly because Grassball’s heads were still squabbling, but it took Biscuit straight into the side of Empress, who then carried them off into Lucky, the three heads of Lucky blinking in surprise before they were all bashed into the wall.
The only Dodrio to actually dash on was Zodiac.
‘… And there we have it,’ Valerie said with a smile. ‘Honestly, sometimes it all turns so predict-’ Valerie stopped talking, because Zodiac suddenly turned around right before the finish line. Togepi was still smiling at Claire.
Biscuit came skipping over, the only real survivor of the crash he had arranged for. There was somewhat of a glaredown taking place between the riders and the Dodrios, two out of three Biscuit heads giving what sounded like mocking laughter at Zodiac, whose heads were looking at Biscuit with what appeared to be malice…
‘… Oh, no,’ Valerie said, realizing. ‘Zodiac had enough. He… always did state his distaste for winning due to Biscuit…’
The two Dodrios charged one another, one with heavy justice and the other just enjoying being placed in this situation…
‘… But… Zodiac can’t beat Biscuit…’ Valerie stated out her realization…
… And so it was. Zodiac might be stronger, but Biscuit didn’t know the meaning of fair fighting. While the audience shouted the name of their preferred winner, Zodiac attacked with regular Fury Attacks… but Biscuit countered by using Pluck, aimed like one of Zodiac’s six eyes was a berry. Biscuit then proceeded to entangle them while Zodiac was in pain, wrapping leg over and tripping the other Dodrio.
This… was when Empress came running, having finally recovered from the crash and was dashing to go past the battle and finish first. It really looked like-
Biscuit threw Zodiac in a perfect manner to crash him into Empress and the two hit the wall in what looked like a really painful manner.
Two out of three of Biscuit’s heads laughed as they pranced over the finishing line.
Claire won 1000 coins!
For a total of 2030 coins.
‘Togepi!’ Togepi called out happily. Valerie turned her gaze to look at the blissfully ignorant Pokémon.
‘Deceitful little creature, aren’t you,’ the queen muttered. Then, she reached into her clothing…
And placed a rather large bowl next to Togepi.
‘Toge?’ Togepi asked. Valerie proceeded to take out a Pokéball and call out…
Pokédex Entry #662 – Fletchinder, the Ember Pokémon. A territorial Pokémon that will hunt other Fletchinders off if too close. It’s very fast, its acceleration from takeoff is famously high, though can only reach max speed when its flame sack’s gotten warm enough. When feeding it sets grass on fire from its beak, and then feeds on the bugs jumping out in fright.
‘You know what to do,’ Valerie commanded, while she was taking out a bottle of Fresh Water and pouring it into the bowl. Fletchinder nodded, and pulled its wings around the bowl, heating it up with Flame Body. Valerie then lifted and gently placed the surprised Togepi into the heated water…
‘Togeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…’ Togepi breathed out as he was allowed a very nice warm bath, a little comfortable smile on the little Pokémon present. Valerie then gave it an Oran Berry, Togepi blinking happily and then accepting the berry to eat as a snack in the pool.
‘Only the best for my precious companion,’ Valerie said, smiling oh, so kindly at Togepi.
‘Togepi~!’ Togepi called, happily. Fletchinder was dutifully heating the water still.
‘Now, then…’ Valerie turned to Claire. ‘It seems you have a 1000 coin head start, as the result of the most violent “race” I’ve ever seen. Very well. I would have simply matched your bet in all the races, but I feel forced to ask how many coins you started with? If I bet more than that, it would be fundamentally unfair,’ Valerie said, something sharp in her tone now. Claire proved to be a challenger, after all.
The Dodrios are brought back to the starting point. Most look pretty messed up after Biscuits last performance, though. Zodiac looks out of it, Lucky looks confused and Empress looks angry. Biscuit still hasn’t stopped laughing, and Grassball looks… normal. For now.
Now the starting order from left to right is… Biscuit, Zodiac, Empress, Lucky, Grassball.
So. Claire’s next bet? Valerie will insist on betting after her.
As demonstrated, with the exception of outside interference, anything goes on the Dodrio tracks. Only rule is to start at the same time and first one that crosses the finish-line wins. Usually racing is just a lot faster than trying to fight the others, though.
