Once the arrogant intruder had left, the blankets were lifted. Rei and her were free to move, and Cora couldn't help but let out a deep sigh of relief. Kenia, the female elf, had offered her hand, which she had accepted. By now she couldn't feel her legs or arms from laying there so long. She shot a dark glare at the ground to release some of her pent-up frustration, then glanced at Rei. Her gaze told him she wanted to talk, but not here or with the Elves nearby. She wanted to discuss what had just happened and what it meant for them. They were in terrible danger.

With a pleasant smile, she turned to face Rei, Kenia, and Malachi. She listened to them patiently and avoided looking at the squirrels.
"Yeah, cleaning up would be great." She looked at her clothes and another sigh escaped her. She had dried blood all over her and mud now, too. She wasn't sure if she had even been this filthy in her life. "Thanks Kenia, for the clothes."

Corvina nodded to her and began to stretch gently. She didn't know how to respond to eating the squirrel. Nauseated, Cora moved towards the front of the cave and looked out over the forest. Wherever they were, it was definitely beautiful. Despite the dangers, she wondered if life here could be better - better than her life on Earth. It did not look promising, considering the nbumerous ways they had either died. She glanced back at Rei and offered a sweet smile and sat down against the cave wall away from the fire.

Belladonna listened to the faun explain this world's situation: an evil king, magical powers, and being in danger. She couldn't help but chuckle at it. Was this a joke? Was she going to wake up and have to explain to Lysandra her magical dream? She didn't let her derisive laughter linger; he even coughed to cover it up. The faun's next move surprised her; he was handing her a peach. Despite it being bruised, her eyes had lit up. Peaches were some of her favorite fruits. A rare, genuine smile poked at the corners of her mouth but she didn't dare let it show. Bella went to thank him, express her gratitude and offer more condolences, when a stranger entered the room. The man was clothed in white clothing and had a hood on. She eyed his facial expressions then his hands which she could tell was holding onto something. It didn't take long to discover what the item was: she watched with minor shock as he stabbed the already-deceased human. It was not an unusual sight for her, though her stomach clenched with knots. She gripped the peach gently and set it in her hoodie pouch as not to let it be ruined. She would be damned if she lost her peach. Her stomach rumbled to protest the delay of food and she ignored it. "Shut up you bastard. You can do this."

A familiar and dreadful memory tugged at her mind's eye, however she couldn't bring herself to dwindle on it. The faun, whom she could tell was not used to violence had let out a horrific scream. It made her wonder how many people or creatures would hear it and start coming towards them. Her mind raced. She had to escape from this fucking mess, but how? God knew what else lurked behind these walls. It was evidently dangerous for her too, being that this "Evil King" was out there. She scoffed and glanced around to see if anyone had heard the faun's scream. Before she could process a thought or action, the murderous scum drew the curtains and turned to address them both. Why he had felt it necessary to stab the already deceased man, she wasn't sure. His words caused more derisive laughter to fill her but she remained impassive.

Who was he to demand that they come with him? What was he going to do if she resisted - stab her? This man had it coming if he thought she was easy prey. Besides, it wouldn't have been her first time being stabbed and she was well-aware of how to bandage and clean the wound. Healing, though, would been an issue. Bella was aware of her stature that reflected the aura that she was helpless. In her leggings pocket, she had pocket knives stashed and also a smaller knife as well. She was holding onto the blade handles gently, as if she weren't grasping anything. Thankfully, her long hoodie was able to hide the evidence.

She titled her head as if she were examining a new specimen under a microscope. She fought the urge to raise her brows and took a silent deep breath. With a calmer demeanor, she turned to face yet another creature enter the room, this one addressing the "Dark Elf" as he had been called.
What the hell is a Dark Elf? She quietly sighed as not to draw attention to herself. Bell wondered if she could play deaf; would they know what that was? She glanced at the two animal-creatures; the newest one had razor-edged fans. What a delightful invention. When this bullshit was over, she wanted to inquire where to find one in case another lunatic was nearby. There was a lingering pause; then Bella looked at the new man and stared at him with confusion and innocence. She would need to retain her itch to strike him; it would not bode well for her to create more enemies. Besides, if people thought she was defenseless, she would keep the upper hand - at least, to a point. She had no idea where she was or what these creatures used for self defense but it would be clearly different than her life on Earth.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Dark Elf, can you please explain to us all nicely why you felt the need to stab this poor man?" Her eyes began tearing up. The bastard was a nazi, she could tell by his uniform. She retained the urge to sigh in disgust and instead allowed her sadness and grief to display. "It seems he already was passed. My friend over here was already distraught. Besides, I think we would all be interested in knowing why you would like us to come and where, exactly, you'd take us. Pardon me, Sir, but on Earth, we like to acquaint ourselves and not skip the formalities. Seems abrupt to me. Is this a custom of yours?"

Bella remained silent to allow him to ponder her words; then glanced at the other creatures. Clearly humans were in danger. How many people had decided to follow her? Uneasiness gnawed at her. Her hands were motionless, but her mind was screaming at her to run. Indeed she would if it came to it: she was next to the door. Where she would go, she didn't know;perhaps back to the Godforsaken forest? Bella's mind raced as she assessed the situation and awaited the next move. Whatever it was, her muscles were tense and ready to jump if necessary, though outwardly she looked alert and calm.

Belladonna looked at the faun, then at the newcomer. She watched the reaction closely and with curiosity: infirmary? That fascinated her. She needed to go along with this plan and see where it took her so she could escape the crowds. The faun's pleasant words caused her to nod and smile, though she didn't know if she could trust him. Bella glanced around swiftly, noticing more of these creatures were either beginning to lose interest in her as she followed him. She sighed with relief, though her left hand never left the pocket where she stored her gun. She had no idea if she would have to use it or not. She prayed she would not but if push came to shove... She wasn't going to allow one of these weird creatures to harm her when she hadn't asked to be in this Godforsaken city.

Bella could decipher the faun's emotions: his worried tone was badly masked and his eyes were filled with emotion and fear. She knew the look of fear, anxiety and emotion in someone’s eyes; she had robbed even places to understand it. She knew she would have to be sympathetic and kind in order to win his trust and help. The mere thought made her squirm uncomfortably in her skin and she wished she could peel it off. She had no idea if this was some kind of hell for her previous life but she wanted to escape it. Then again, maybe this was a dream and she would wake up a home and Lysandra would be nearby her, with popcorn and Ginger and Lemon tea... Her heart rate elevated briefly at the thought and a lump formed in her throat. She was a long way from home, or even Earth. She couldn't help but feel frantic at the fear Lysandra was probably experiencing.

When Bella entered the infirmary, she was taken aback by the beauty it held. For a moment, she did not follow the faun as she glanced around. Her gaze settled on the fountain. A sense of calm filled her. She had always loved water, despite nearly drowning at the ripe age of eleven. She had found peace with it as long as she didn't go in it. She shuddered at the brief memory. Her hands became clammy and heat rushed to her face. If Charis had not tried to make her cliff dive, she would not have nearly drowned. It was as simple as that. There wouldn't have been any drama, nor near death experiences. Belladonna stood there, engulfed in her memory.

Belladonna snapped back to reality and was astounded to find she was trembling. Tears were streaming down her face as she took deep, shuddering breaths. Fury, mixed with grief and untamed rage, were pulsing through her veins. Her mind was rushing with the heat of the memory and the terror of hearing the others clamoring to revive her. She took a moment to pull herself together. She sniffled, rubbed her eyes with her sleeves, and then straightened up. No, they were not here. She was far away from them and they were stuck in a high security prison. They were probably trapped with people the gang had stuck in there. The irony of the situation caused her to snicker and then clear her throat.

As part of her custody agreement with Lysandra, she had been ordered to go to counseling. She had been told to think logically during one of her panic or anxiety attacks and ground herself. Given the climate of her new situation, it was not easy. She took several more deep breaths and glanced around. She could hear the fountain water splashing playfully around in the courtyard center. She could see the beautiful willow tree, its branch hanging gracefully in the fountain water. There wasn't any noise, save for the fountain. She saw the bushes, the trees... Her mind began to slow down and take in the scenery around her. Bella took several more deep breaths and unclenched her fists, which were almost bleeding from her nails digging into them. She stretched her back to help loosen up her tight muscles and roll her neck. This provided relief for her and helped her relax more.

By the time she had stopped being an emotional idiot (which she hated), she had almost lost track of the deer. Her subconscious mind had kept working and remembered where he had gone. She sighed and took a few steps forward and hesitated. He was going through something right now. Should she interrupt him? It wouldn't hurt to understand the context of the situation. Bella strode towards where the faun had disappeared to and watched from afar. There were more humans, but this one was dead. She wondered what he had died from. She didn't want to come too close and interrupt, so she waited idly.

As the deer performed his ritual, Bella couldn't help but stare. He, or it, seemed too emotional to be spoken to right now. As if reading her mind, the faun sat down and began to play an instrument from its' bag. Bella almost smiled; the music was calming. It helped her mind ground itself more. Belladonna took a deep breath and gently walked up to the door and into the room. She took extra care to walk slowly and silently, as not to startle or upset the deer. Once in the peripheral vision, Belladonna finally spoke.

"That is beautiful. Your music is pretty cool," Bella struggled to find more comforting words and adjectives. Remember, you have to be nice and sympathetic. This man is not your enemy, or yet, at least. Be kind, like Lysandra would want you to be... You need allies and you also need food so don't be a dumbass. She breathed in and out once more, and smiled sympathetically and offered her hand for him to hold if she wished. "I'm sorry to hear about your friend passing. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Bella looked around for a chair but found none, so she stood against the wall with her arms crossed loosely. She titled her head and waited for a reply, all the while scanning the room for any dangers. She had kept a distance from the window and out of the line of vision. She was not sure if she had been followed or what the hell would happen next. Hopefully they could find food soon or else she would pass out next on this poor faun.

Bellona

Time: Midnight - Dawn of the First Day
Location: In the woods near Roshmi City > Roshimi City

For the past seven hours or eternity, Bellona had been trudging through the forest. A random portal had opened and pulled her into this mysterious, never-ending forest. She was cursing by now both mentally and out loud, due to her stomach rumbling and her eyes fighting to stay open. She was shaking and glaring at everything in her path. Prior to her unfortunate circumstance, she had been on the couch, snuggled up with a blanket and a bowl of popcorn. Bell had been waiting for Police Sergeant Lysandra to come home and watch a Halloween movie with her. More than likely now it would never occur. Would the Sergeant think she had run away? Her heart dropped. They had finally began to trust one another a bit. Now that was gone, and she had no way of returning home. The possibilities of her existence here ran through her mind, both logical and illogical. Was this a sick joke by Sandra? Had the gang escaped and poisoned her tea with drugs?

Bell gritted her teeth and wished she knew how to hunt so she could kill one of the squirrels that kept throwing acorns at her. She turned to glare at it and brandished her gun threateningly at it. She always kept on her out of terror that Charis or Embry would find her again. The squirrel chattered and dashed off, causing her to smirk. She then turned to continue onto the wooden path she had found. To her distress, she saw nothing more but more trees. Bell let out a frustrated yell and kicked a nearby log out of her way. It flew a few feet away and landed on the ground. She had no idea why she was here or why, but whoever ran this forsaken joint would be receiving an earful from her. She glanced around at the owl hooting, the deer pacing about and the other woodland creatures surrounding her. They didn't seem to be afraid of her in any way. She found herself perplexed by their calmness.

As soon as Bellona felt as if she might give up and shoot herself, large buildings loomed into view. She let out a loud sigh of relief and glanced apologetically at the log she had displaced. She turned away from it and trudged towards the city with a scowl. Her leggings were soaked with mud and her sweatshirt was in dire shape. This did not help soothe her scowl; she was going to find a way to clean it or else she'd rip someone to shreds. It had been a gift from Lysandra and she would not let it tarnish. Bellona came to the edge of the city and stared with awe. The most psychedelic experience awaited her. Now she was sure she was on something strong or this was a screwed up dream she couldn't escape. There wasn't any logical reason that there were demi-humans here. She watched the activity with awe: they were milling around, going in and out of shops and acting as if nothing were wrong. She saw tall people with pointed ears and even a few fairies. Their clothes looked odd and were weirder than anything she had seen in her life.

What the hell is this? Where am I? she thought with a lingering groan. There didn't appear to be any humans here. She felt a chill run up her spine at the mere thought of being the only one in a miles radius. Maybe there was a reason, good or bad, she wasn't certain. Bellona pulled her hair into a messy bun and tucked the loose strands behind her ears to conceal it. To be safe, she pulled her hood up and tightened it around her head. She was going to stick out like a sore thumb with these... creatures. Bell slid her gun into her pocket and swallowed. Wherever she was, she was going to find a way to go home. Bellona stood up straight and began to walk slowly into the city; then once she gained momentum, sped up. She kept her head down so she wasn't bringing attention to herself. She kept her eyes up and desperately wished she could find a coat and food. By now, her stomach was rebelling at the lack of food. "Oh shut up, you miserable bastard," she thought to herself, "You've gone longer without a meal you spoiled bitch."

Bellona thought perhaps asking for help or directions would end up being detrimental to her situation, so she continued forward. The most strange creature crossed her path and she moved backwards to watch. There was a young man with a human face, but the body of a deer waist down. Bellona couldn't help but stare. He even had small antlers. Mesmerized, she rubbed her eyes and continued to stare until she realized how rude she was acting. Bellona tore her gaze away and knew she had to speak to someone. Oh God. Bellona glanced back at the forest: either it was solitude, or speaking to one of these... creatures. She hissed under her breath and knew she would never go back home without some help.

With a deeper sigh to release her frustration and anxiety, she pulled herself together and relaxed her body to give off a pleasant aura. Then, as if she owned the city, she strolled over to the human/deer and spoke softly, but confidently."Hello sir, how are you? I'm a bit, err, lost. Do you think you could help me please?" She smiled sweetly and folded her hands together neatly. Bellona glanced around and noticed some of these folk were beginning to stare at her. Now she felt unsure of her actions and worry was beginning to creep in. The hairs on the back of her neck were sticking up. She stuck out so much; this was a terrible plan. Bellona glanced around nervously, then stared at the deer urgently, "I think it may be best if we were to go somewhere else, too, should you be willing to help me."

Cora had been trying to listen when Malachi stuffed them on the ground and stacked them. It worked well for now; it was all they had. She curled her legs up into a ball as best she could to try hiding her limbs. She was so close to Rei that she could almost hear his heart beat. She stared with wide eyes and swallowed. The urgency and fear was palpable; part of her was trembling.

They were in a scary new world with a new threat every five minutes it seemed. She sucked in a deep breath, trying nor to be obnoxious and breathe in Rei's face: dark hair and topaz eyes. She tried to focus on it instead of her fear and anxiety. Her heart sang another story, one of distrust, panic and unsettled grief. She looked away. No matter what their situation was, it didn't give her permission to become attached to anyone. She wondered what this hellish world in store for them beyond this muddy cavern.

With a sigh, she wondered when the hell this guy would leave. She bit her lip as Terneus boasted his introduction. Cora's once impassive expression turned into a mocking grin. She bit her lip and shut her eyes and tried not to laugh. What a narcissistic piece of shit. She rested her head back on Rei's arm after lifting it to listen. Their voices were muffled but she could make it out. He reminded her of Gaia; the mere thought of her made her swell with anger and force herself not to feel anger. She didn't want to activate her flames. That would be terrible for Rei and the others as well. She took slow, deep breaths and shut her eyes. She began to practice her breathing and reliving the meditation she used to lull herself to sleep.

As Cora laid there, a sudden heaviness caused her glance over at her pockets. She moved her free arm to feel her switchblade and pepper spray were still in her pocket. Thank god, I'm going to need that in this freaking crazy place, she thought as she glanced at Rei who whispered an apology. "Me too," she whispered under her breath, hardly audible. "Hopefully it's over soon," she mouthed to him, afraid the elves might hear her.
Nikolaus
New York

Nikolaus smiled as she introduced herself. Her name was angel; how perfectly fitting. He grinned down at his hands and covered it with his hand so she wouldn't see. She really was perfect: tough, capable of defending herself and brave. Those were qualities hardly seen in people. Nikolaus cleared his throat and realized he had been too quiet. He sighed, then looked up once he had stopped grinning. "Hi Angel, I'm Nick."" He replied kindly, not giving or trusting her with his full name. He glanced back at her knee. "Are you going to take care of that? It could get infected and well, there isn't really a hospital anywhere nearby, I'd hate to see you suffer with it."

He had no idea why he was being so nice. It was frankly pissing him off. Perhaps it was due to being alone for over a year and a half while looking for his sister. His heart strings tug every time he thought of how long she was stuck in that hellhole. Nikolai felt like a complete failure; he felt he abandoned her now. He sniffled and looked at the locket absentmindedly and took it in his hands and let out another sigh. "What brings you to New York? How old are you?"

He glanced around to see if they were being watched or followed; in case they were, he tightened the scarf over his face and looked at the house quickly. He wanted to go inside, but he was certain that Angel would not follow. He bit his lip as his mind raced in a thousand different places. Niko knew if he was caught, then it would be the end for him. Poor Iris would be stuck forever with the Wolves. That could not happen. He glanced back at Angel and decided to give it a shot. "Would you like to come inside? I understand if you don't, seeing as you just met me." Nikolai glanced around again and took a half step back under the awning of his dilapidated house. "Or we can stay here too, whichever you prefer, Angel."

He still had no idea how someone so beautiful was left alone; or perhaps she was not alone. He didn't know, nor did he feel like pushing her with too many questions. He hated to overwhelm one of the only people he found himself able to talk with normally. It was strange. He vaguely remembered being more human and having friends before everything had gone to hell. Nikolai waited patiently for her reply and leaned against the door to his house.

As Corvina slept, her mind was filled with repulsive images, both past and present. Familiar voices and scenery drifted through her consciousness. Cold, snowy weather mixed with rainy drafts; a pair of skates laced up with bows; a handsome boy and then a shrill scream. Her mind raced with these images repeatedly, not allowing her to tune them out. She was twitching in her sleep, tossing and turning ever frequently. She muttered under her breath as well, though not in English. Her mind flashed forwarded to now: a dark-haired boy, a pair of Elves and then a skeletal dragon. Fire flashed through her mind and her hands being on fire. The fire wasn't burning her though. Was that real? It wasn't normal.

Cora woke up with a gasp and wide-eyes as she looked around with panic. She stared at the cave, willing herself to be at him and in bed. Perhaps she had smoked too much. God, she wished it to be true; but as her eyes adjusted to the dim light in the cavern, she found she was not at home and her reality was true. She stared as the latest dream replayed in her mind and she wiped tears from it. She sucked in deep breaths and looked over as she felt a sweater slip off of her. What, she thought, where did that come from? A moment later and Rei came into her vision. She found her had taken his sweater off of her and she couldn't help but blush. She picked it up before it hit the floor and stood up quickly. She went to present it back to Rei, to thank him for his kindness and generosity, but a loud, booming voice interrupted her thoughts. She jumped and looked to the front of the cave.

As if their life couldn't become anymore stranger, a giant skeleton filled the sky. His voice was drawling; it reminded her of an old villain. She tried to put a finger on who he reminded her of but her mind was racing. She listened carefully and dissected his words as he spoke. She couldn't help but let out another snort of laughter. The humans were dangerous? What was he talking about? They had nearly died a few times already and they seemed to be more in danger than the others. Clearly something was terribly wrong with this strange world. They handed out powers like candy to babies here as well. She was trying to piece it together in her mind. There were dots; she decided she'd interrogate them with Rei's help she hoped in order to connect them. He was the only one she felt comfortable with right now.

Despite the threat, her laughter filled the air as she gathered herself to address the others. Her snark matched Rei's as she glanced at him:
"He looks like Voldemort gone moldy," She turned to see the Elves by the front of the cave; Kenia was near the man named Malachi, right? She wasn't certain. Before she could ask or spit out more ruthless sarcasm, however, Kenia let out a curse and ushered them to the back with male Elf.

Cora quickly followed suit, now only noting how well her mind and vision felt. She stared with shock as she followed them and hid. How was it that she felt so clear? Where was all the light-headed and dizziness? Cora wanted to ask, but decided now was not the best time. Some new threat was coming there because why the hell not? She glanced at Rei with concern and then looked up at the Elf. She smiled faintly and nodded her appreciation to him though her heart and mind felt mixed. Should they trust these Elves? Who was that Skeleton and why were they dangerous? What had spooked Kenia and forced them to hide? It must have had to do with the Skeleton Voldemort. Or, perhaps, that dragon was coming back. She shuddered. She may have loved dragons but she wasn't fond of that one.

Cora sat down and hugged her knees, uncertain of what to do. There was nothing more she hated than feeling uncertain and powerless. She glanced at Rei and nodded gratefully to the sweater and mouthed: 'Thank you,' She swallowed and strained her ears to hear what was happening outside.

Corvina had been staring at her fire engulfed hands when a large tree randomly fell in between them and the Undead dragon. She jumped in shock and looked over to see it had been under Rei's control. What the hell was happening? Kenia's voice filled her mind but she hadn't understood it. When the woman tied a scarf around her neck, Cora had initially recoiled with fear. A moment later and logic filled her mind syaing the woman was protecting her and aiding her since she was on fire. The scene was a blur for her after then; the effect of trying to stabilize her apparent power and her concussion were mixing like soup and macaroni. Cora fixated on her burning hands and concentrated on seeing the flames disappear.

However, a shadow over her loomed quickly then landed behind her interrupting her focus. She had briefly seen or thought it was another dragon. A male's voice rose into the air next and guided them as well into safety. Kenia barked at him but she couldn't understand what was said. When Cora looked down at her hands, she found they were no longer engulfed in flames. She was going to interrogate these Elves and demand to know what the hell was going on, why they were there, and how did they suddenly have powers.

"Rei," Her vision began to blur and she saw dots. "I don't... I don't feel so well. This is obviously a terrible time but hitting your head does not exactly serve you any benefits." She hated to feel powerless but she was beginning to feel sick. After her hands had been engulfed, Cora's lightheaded aura and nausea had risen to unbearable heights. "I'm sorry," She gripped his arm tightly and hung onto him. She willed herself to follow Kenia and The Newcomer. Cora's vision faded in and out gradually, though she never let go of Rei.

Despite the madness, she found herself at ease, at least, beside him, but Kenia and the newcomer, not so much. Finally they reached their destination. She stumbled into the cave and moved towards the back of and laid down quickly. She heard Kenia snapping at the man for whatever reason, Cora could not figure out why. It didn't matter. Her head was spinning like a Ferris wheel. "We're in the Cave of Wonders, Rei. Enjoy," she whispered then passed out.
Savannah/Rue
Wolves camp
Savannah swallowed hard as the woman spoke. She had been watching Roman for a moment but Alaia's words cut into her mind. She began explaining how she had been on her own after her parent's death with a calm expression, and had nearly died of starvation. That much was true, except Pepper had been there to save her but she wouldn't mention him. No, that poor Fox was partially her reason to exist. She explained to them how she had been foraging on berries, wild game, and also insects. Savannah mentioned she tried to fish but it had been hard due to the rigorous streams. She had seen their encampment and hadn't known who they were. She had watched them for a day or so then figured out they were the Wolves. The bad answer she gave caused Alaia to tear off her index nail. Her claws thankfully, were intact. She had not let them out.

Savannah bit her lip hard and let out a a gasp of pain and resisted the urge to scream. Her mind was racing with panic, fury, and helplessness. How would she escape them now? Savannah was aware her mutation would kick and was trying to; however, she began to force her body to relax by thinking of Pepper. If they saw her healing, she was screwed. It had been partially true about the Wolves: her knowledge of them had been vague. Down in Maryland, they were cut off from the rest of the world. News was bleak.

Savannah had paused for a moment as the memories filled her mind; this caused Alaia to rip off her pinky. She had let out a shrill yelp of pain and fear. She bit her lip as tears of pain streamed down her face and took deep breaths. Her finger would regenerate; she knew it would, but she didn't want them to discover her mutation. With her heart rate elevated and panic seeping through her, Savannah took several deep breaths. She glanced at Roman to see his expressions as her eyes swam with tears. Visibly she looked shaken but the next second she was back to being emotionless. She had a ruthless gleam in her eye when she faced Alaia. Before she would consider murdering Roman, this bitch was high on her list. Savannah took a deep breath and knew she had to play along with their game in order to come out alive. Her parents had always told her that her mind was her greatest weapon.

Next, she didn't miss a beat: she explained how she had found a hole in their fence and had used it to her advantage to begin stealing. She told them she would go in the middle of the night or early dawn to begin stealing their supplies. She had started small and as her success became consistent, so did her stealing. When she finished, the maniac Alaia untied her form the chair then began dragging her out of the room. She turned to glance once more at Roman with brief confusion then smirked at him and turned away. As she was dragged through their complex, people were staring. Sh watched as a giant mansion loomed into her vision. Oh no, she thought with dread. She knew where she was going and considered her options of running away. No, she couldn't run; it would look cowardly. The pain surging through her made her all the more aware of the danger of the situation. The blood was dripping off both of her hands and leaving a trail behind her like breadcrumbs.

Next thing Savannah knew, she was thrown into a bedroom. As she glanced around, she was taken aback. It was luxurious. Moments later, a woman named Helena appeared and began to explain her situation. Savvy watched her and nodded along, expressionless. The woman began to doll her up with makeup which made her cough and tears fill her eyes. The woman impatiently brushed them away and continued to apply makeup. Afterwards, the woman gave her the most expensive dress Savannah had ever seen. The blue shades reminded her of the night sky that she would watch every night with Pepper snuggled up against her. The dress hit her knees and the back was open. Savannah admired the lace sleeves along her arms and the slit in her leg.

Savannah would have preferred not to wear this but she knew she didn't have a choice. Helena then curled her hair and she felt the ringlets hitting the middle of her back. Was her hair that long? She had lost track of self-care, being out in the woods. She watched Helena leave and explain to her a girl would come take her to the Wolves feast. She nodded and sat down on the bed. She clutched the quilt and wiped her eyes with her elbow carefully as to not upset the eye makeup. She looked down at her hands and found the blood had been stopped by Helena and gloves put over them to hide the forceful amputation. Her stomach rumbled; she was definitely hungry. She looked around once more at the bedroom and waited patiently for this new girl.

The most beautiful, yet spastic red haired angel revealed herself nearby his home. The noise had startled him and he ahd jumped out of his skin. For a moment, Nikolai had to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. Someone that beautiful was only in books or movies. His heart fluttered and he found himself tongue tied. It was clear she had been eavesdropping on them. He wondered if she knew the thieves, but he found he didn't care. He stared at her, frozen like a deer.

What was the proper phrase to say to someone in this situation. He hadn't interacted with a human properly for ages; he only wanted directions to the Wolves encampment. Maybe she knew about the wolves or had seen them. He was shaking with apprehension and nerves. This frightened young woman had him shaking. Nikolai sighed and decided to remain guarded yet approach her; before he could however, she hid back behind the wall.

"Hey there," he greeted gently, his accent soaking through. Nikolai was as calm and comforting like the gentle sea nearby. "It's okay. I won't hurt you. I saw you fall. Are you okay, Miss?" Nikolai moved a few steps forward but kept his distance so he didn't startle her again.

"If you want to come out, you can. If you feel safer behind the wall, then that's okay too. You can let me know what you would like, but if you are injured, I do have a first aid kit. This gravel isn't kind to those who fall on it." He couldn't help but recall landing on this gravel many times and spraining or breaking a bone. He managed a wry chuckle at remembering falling on it. God, he was glad he had become durable.

Nikolai waited patiently for her response and leaned against the wall. One hand was clutched around his locket to reassure himself he had not lost it. Every second that ticked by he knew was another second lost to finding and rescuing his sister. He swallowed hard, took a deep breath, and waited for the female to make her move.

The man she had traveled with through the rift with and from earlier had introduced himself as Rei. She ggave him a thumbs up and replied with, "Nice to meet you, Rei. I'm Corvina, but Cora works too." She paused as he spoke, then smiled and accepted he handkerchief. She began to dab at her face and wipe it off gracefully. Afterwards, she tended to her head and dabbed it. "Thank you, I appreciate your help." She followed his gaze to the newcomer who was clearly not human. She swallowed hard and watched her intently despite her aching head and tilting vision. She took depe, calming breaths and tried to ease her racing heart and mind. She wondered if she had managed to sleep that night, would she be in this mess?

Corvina listened to the women speaking while holding a hand to her head to staunch the bleeding. She was applying pressure with one hand and dabbing at the blood with Rei's handkerchief. Quite a long way from home? No kidding. This was real, right? How hard had she hit her head? She looked around at the new landscape. This was definitely not on Earth. Where they were though was beyond her. Feeling ill and unbalanced, Cora scooted up against a tree for support to ease herself: her vision was tilting forward and backwards. She couldn't help but wonder if she had another concussion. The last injury she had needed, especially with what happened to her a year ago. God, was there even a doctor here to assess her and treat her?

The woman, Kenia, interrupted her reverie which Cora found as a blessing. Her eyes kept closing and she had to keep prying them open. She listened intently to her words and watched as Kenia took out some leaves. Cora's eyes widened as she looked at them. Mint leaves, exactly what she needed. She took them gracefully, still unable to speak. Cora wasn't sure how she was staying awake: the heaviness in her head and the aching in her temples, her tilting vision... She began to chew the leaves as instructed, not second guessing Kenia. The woman was cleaning her head wound which Cora found nonthreatening. Clearly this woman wasn't going to harm them, or yet at least. It would have been easier to kill her off first than her companion.

As Cora listened to her story, she found herself reeling even more. It was definitely something out of Narnia or roleplay, even a children's story; except there was something worse to it. She knew there was a few details left out judging by Kenia's tone. As her nausea and headache began to settle, Cora pried her eyes open as wide as she could. A loud roar caused her to jump and then glance upwards. A dragon; except this one was bony and skeletal. Was this world explanation real or had she fallen into hell?

"Well, I'll be damned," Cora mused with a snort of laughter and glanced at Rei with wide-eyes. There was terror and amazement in her eyes and tone, despite her derisive laughter. Her mind went to humor to cope with the situation. "A dragon, ah yes because why not? Dragon Tales from Hell, am I right?" She began to scramble to her feet, her dizziness and nausea now returning to remind her she was still injured. No, there was no time for this now. Their lives were in imminent danger. She wanted to go home now. She had seen enough. Still unwell, Cora gritted her teeth and stumbled into Rei and cltuched his arms. Her wide eyes glanced up into his, his words causing her to laugh nervously. This was insane. "Sorry, I'll move - one second. I can't see..."

Cora gripped the tree behind her as Kenia threw herself in front of them and ordered them to run. As Cora released her grip on Rei and began to stumble away, the dragon released a tirade of blue flames at them. Her eyes widened and she whirled around to find herself behind the two now, but the others in danger. No matter why they were here, these two were in trouble and Corvina couldn't stand the idea of letting innocent people be hurt. Kenia was obviously not a threat also, and they needed her. Despite the physical circumstances and her concussion, she knew that letting them be torched was not only horrible, but counterproductive to achieving her goal of getting the hell home.

The forest was on fire around them, causing smoke to rise and fill the vicinity. Within minutes, it would become impossible to escape. Cora thought fast: she drew in a quick breath with trepidation, then pulled Rei and Kenia out of the way. Cora quickly moved out of the way of the flames as well. The world spun around her as she too quickly for her conscious mind to grasp. She felt a rush of helplessness and fury at their situation.

Unexpectedly, flames shot out of her hands at the dragon. Cora expected to feel horrendous burning, the scent of burning flesh and her life flashing before her eyes. Instead, Corvina felt nothing. "Uh," Cora glanced down to find her hands engulfed in flames without the pain or flesh burning. Was she seeing right? "Am I the only one seeing this or are my hands slowly going to start cooking, Kenia?"
