Altarae was right to come to Korriban. Simply being on the planet seemed to fill him with strength and energy, brightening his senses and increasing his endurance. He had found a man named Siador Dren, who seemed powerful and intimidating. Having tried to look into the man’s mind with the Force only once, he found himself utterly rejected. He had then pledged himself to the man then and there, revealing the rusted hilt of the lightsaber he had brought with him.

Siador had aided him in reconstructing the lightsaber, and he had been given his own red colored sith crystal. Altarae was then given an entry level position working for Siador as an Archaeologist, to help explain their relationship and time spent together. They trained with their lightsabers as often as they could, and his skill has slowly begun to grow, though it is obvious that he’s much stronger with the Force than his weapon currently.

Today he was leading a small excavation team on the surface, not far from where his Master was waiting for the new Chief of Security. His small team scurried about in the dust wiping and dusting at long ancient artifacts. The youth on the other hand, supervised, and kept an eye on his Master. Altarae had to admit, he was also curious to get a look of this new guy. He wasn’t sure many would have the fortitude to endure such a planet. Watching a Chiss make his way down the rampart, he nodded slightly to himself. He’d never met a Chiss before, but he’d heard the Ascendency was ruthless in its efficiency.

Name: Altarae Renshi A.K.A. ‘Vodeth’
Age: 22
Species: Miraluka
Homeworld: Alpheridies
Personality: Altarae is stoic and collected by nature, seeming to have a nearly unending sense of serenity. Because of this, people tend to naturally rely on him during stressful or critical situations, as stress and panic seem to have little effect on him. The flip side of this is that he has a rather hard time expressing his own emotions (other than anger) and as such people can view him as rather impersonal and robotic.

These lacking social skills are due to a childhood spent in forced isolation, as Altarae was born with incredibly strong force powers. This lead the other children to either fear or envy him, and as such he’s had very little companionship in his life. This suits him fine, as he views requiring outside aid as a form of weakness. He feels that the entirety of the world and its people have forgotten and forsaken him, and as such he is more than willing to do the same. He is naturally ambitious and is a ravenous collector of information, not for its own sake, but because he knows well that knowledge is power.

Bio: Altarae was the only child of hard working farming parents. Though they do love him tremendously, they were usually far too busy or tired to interact with him much. Not only this, but Altarae appears to have a seemingly unnaturally strong connection to the Force, even for a Miraluka. This near indomitable connection to the Force has made Altarae a social outcast among his fellow children, as those who aren’t afraid of his power are usually envious of it.

When Altarae was a teenager, Republic Commandos appeared on Alpheridies hunting a man who was said to have stolen several priceless and ancient artifacts from Coruscant. The Commandos harbored suspicion that the smuggler was being aided by locals, and as such many homes were searched and seized. Of the many homes these commandos raided, Altarae’s homestead was one of them. His parents were killed and the farm burned to the ground due to being so called uncooperative. This left only the boy as a survivor. He rooted through the ash and smoke, finding the corpses of his family as expected. Yet what else he found shocked even him.

The first was a third corpse he did not recognize at first. It appeared to be humanoid in form, and apparently a man. Searching through his pockets for identification, he found an incredibly old and rusted metallic hilt, with various cabalistic symbols chicken scratched onto it. Unwittingly using his connection to the Force to witness the past of the hilt, forbidden knowledge poured into the youths mind. He saw its original construction, millennia ago on Korriban for a Sith Acolyte, he saw the Acolyte struck down by a Jedi, and the hilt fall into their possession. He witnessed its being locked away on Coruscant during the rise of the current Republic, and he witnessed a smuggler successfully steal it and flee here. But most of all he saw his own Father, the poverty stricken Miraluk farmer, was the one who had actually hired the smuggler to steal the hilt for him.

Collapsing into the ash, he discovered the second thing that would change him. That thing was the blind cloth of his father, and while it was charred and blackened by tragedy, it seemed to have survived the inferno. He scratched a small number '1' on the inside of the cloth, and donned it, the message behind it simple; with nothing left for him here, he would stop at nothing to become the number one. His new purpose decided, a single word seemed to haunt his mind.

‘Korriban.’

Appearance: Altarae is a fairly averagely built youth with longer hair the color of freshly fallen snow. It reaches roughly his shoulderblades. He typically dresses in dark colors such as black or grey robes, as well as the typical blind cloth of his people. The cloth that covers the eyes he does not have is one of his most prized possessions, a family heirloom that is now charred and ashen, His clothes are fairly typical loose robes that are black and grey, which he conceals many things within the folds of. His skin is smooth and pale, thus far unmarked from the horrors of war.

@Gisk Thanks for letting him have active Force powers, it is a fair part of their culture and society, even if the Jedi and Sith are gone. I was under the impression I would've already met him and become some kind of pupil by the beginning of the RP, but I don't care either way.

As for his powers, that all sounds fine to me. Though I did want to ask if it was alright to use instead of Mind Trick, some kind of minor Mind Control? Allowing him to temporarily control weaker willed people. As for the whole powers thing, I'm just trying to use some uncommon stuff to spice things up a bit.
