The Lycan Covenant

Vlath returned to the village with great haste, flanked by the two void champions on his return he shouted to all near by "Brothers and Sisters! The Gods have gifted upon us their champions today! Not only this but they have gifted us with purpose! Know that even now our Gods fight a foe deep beneath the waves to defend us while we settle on this new land! In their mercy not only have they provided us with these great defenders and the storms to hold off the beasts below but they have informed me of the enemy on the land! The We must find these vile creatures and eradicate them! We have already claimed their obelisks from their pathetic gods but next we will take their land and their lives in the name of the TRUE Gods! All of those who would wish to fight these foul heathens must seek out Grash Bloodfang and prepare to train under him until he deems you are prepared for the coming battle! The Silentpaws will seek them out and any resources that may be of worth to us so that the Goldtooth may bend it to our will! They will search farther and harder! Every week I decree a scouting party must be sent out until this foe is found! Once they are located they shall return and our glorious crusade shall begin!" Vlath spoke to all who would listen in the village, ensuring the Silentpaws were prepared for the long scouting missions and ordering the Goldtooths to begin producing what weapons they could from the lumber-whether that be clubs for Bloodfang or javelins for Silentpaw the Covenant would have weapons ready for war soon.

Vlath then began to seek out Vera and those who had captured him, assuming he did and his zealots had not done it already, Vlath would personally rip the heretics tongue out before proceeding to hear anything fro his zealots.

Interested, first advanced thread I'm showing interest in so be gentle plz
The Lycan Covenant

As Vlath stood their, half in awe of the great champion the Gods had delivered to them and half terrified of his own foolishness he turned to the remaining zealots and snapped at them "Return to the village at once! Find Vera and remove his foul tongue from his mouth and have him kept captive until my return! Tell the Bloodfangs to be on guard around the coast until the storms return in full strength! They are a blessing from the God's themselves!" after waving the zealots on with their task he turned to the great creature the Gods had placed before him. With a wail he said [color=DarkGray]"Great champion of the Gods! I beg the God's forgiveness for my foolishness! I will have myself punished for my misdeeds once the God's power is assured! Please, escort me to the final stone so I may reclaim it in their name!" assuming the void beast allowed him to continue Vlath continued his pilgrimage to the third and final stone in the hopes of keeping the threat from the deep at bay and securing the power of the Gods.

The Lycan Covenant

Vlath had awoke from the strange dream in somewhat confused shock, what had he just experienced? A vision from the God's themselves perhaps? It had felt too real to be a mere dream, perhaps activating that obelisk had started events he could not have foreseen. What were the creatures in his vision? Deep below the sea they were, were they puppets of the Young Gods? Or fellow children of the Great Trinity of the Void? He knew not but it would be something he should address soon. As he left the area his fellow Shadowclaw had used as a resting place (naturally it was close to the first reclaimed obelisk) he ordered a handful of his more knowledgeable Shadowclaw to meet him at the shoreline at noon.

Vlath had met with Goldtooth at the very river they were to discuss some time after he had awoken from his strange
dream, Goldtooth explained there options and after a brief discussion they agreed a pontoon bridge is the best course of action for the moment. Once the bridge had been established and houses built they could consider a true bridge to allow larger loads to cross at a time, for now a pontoon would suffice- shelter must be provided as soon as possible after all. After their business was concluded, Vlath reminded Goldtooth "When the lumber is across the bridge you and your workers will begin constructing houses, for all tribes. Once that is done we will consider what else we may began construction of." with that final word Vlath made his way to meet with the other Shadowclaw members at the shoreline.

The Voidcaller had arrived some time earlier than the other four Lycan, who had arrived around noon. Vlath had watched the somewhat turbulent ocean and the stormy skies- nothing his people were not used to but it felt different now. He turned to those present and said "I have had a vision. Something lurks deep beneath the waves, I do not know what but the God's have deemed it necessary I know of their existence. I have gathered you here so we may discuss the meaning of this vision and a possible solution." and so the discussion began.
Initially there were many suggestions that the Gods meant it as a warning about the creatures in the ocean until one of the older of the group (Vera, one of the more scholarly of the Shadowclaw clan and being accused of heresy at various points in his life- he always seemed to be one step ahead the tribe in terms of both theological ideas and in his evasion of those who would silence him. Vlath was fond of him despite his borderline heretical ideas.) said the Gods would of told them of such threats before the journey and therefore such a point was moot. Eventually the debate turned to the idea that these creatures were pointed out to them by the Gods as potential allies, surely a strange suggestion but the only solution the group could fully agree upon.

After a further period of debate Vlath finally decided "If they are true creations of the Gods then surely they will know their divine tongue! Come, we shall speak to the oceans themselves!" while Vlath himself was not entirely convinced such an idea would work and he was merely offering a solution that would allow him to return to the camps and oversee construction soon, he was somewhat curious if these beings from the deep had some connection with the Gods. After all, why else would the Gods show them to him? The Shadowclaw behind him began to line up and shout into the stormy ocean in a language known by all lycan but only understood by the Shadowclaw, the proclaimed language of the Gods. As their voices wrestled with the sounds of the waves crashing onto the beach Vlath pondered if it would be beneficial to find a way to store the language in some way, after all he doubted even 100 lycans knew the language at this point.

After several minutes the group of lycans fell to silence and turned to Vlath. Assuming nothing happened he nodded at each of those present "I thank you for being here, the Gods will surely be pleased with your dedication. Now, I must return to Wolfhelm and assemble a group for my pilgrimage to the next pillar for it's reclamation." he said before beginning the walk back to Wulfhelm.

On his return Vlath immediately set about on preparing for his next pilgrimage, requesting a representative from each clan aswell as a small group of his own personal zealots-not true warriors in any sense of the word but individuals truly dedicated to the Gods. Vlath allowed the other leaders to function as they wish while he prepared and went on his journey north to reclaim the second obelisk.

Ah, I see I was too late to respond. Sorry about that I've been busy with college starting up and I'll be honest my interest in this RP has kind of disappeared, probably best I was so late to post and removed. Best of luck to everyone who remains.
The Lycan Covenant

From the recent reports, Vlath began to consider the Covenant's next move. After spending hours upon hours pondering where next it would be best to focus their attention he summoned each of the Covenant's leaders to the reclaimed stone. Such a request in the cold weather may have insulted leaders of another race but this was not an unusual request for the Voidcaller to make, discussions between the Lycan leadership would often take place around religious sites.

When each of the leaders had assembled Vlath rose to from his kneeling position in front of the stone and turned to speak to each of the leaders "Silentpaw's scouts have given me a wealth of information. To the north lie more stones similar to this one which I must assume have been corrupted by the foul magics of the Young gods. To our west lies a forest which has been our source of meat since we arrived here. Now that the Goldtooths are beginning to provide us with an alternative food source, the lumber camp would greatly aid our efforts and allow us to begin truly establishing our foot hold in this new realm. I have also received reports of mountains in that direction aswell. If you have any other proposals I would hear them now, but the stones and the woodlands are my current focus." Vlath explained to the Lycans surrounding him.
The first to speak up was Basir Goldtooth as he raised a clawed hand to stroke the golden fur on his chin "Hmmm, the woodland would provide us with many raw materials but moving them over the river could problematic, if you would allow us I could have my servants construct a bridge with the first set of supplies from the lumber camp." he proposed before hastily suggesting with a slight bow "Of course the stones are of great importance perhaps I am getting ahead of myself even considering to build a lumber camp before we have reclaimed our lands from the Young gods.
Vlath nodded to Goldtooth's suggestion without a word, a bridge would allow for far easier access to the other side of the river and could be essential for any future expansion on that side of it.
Next Mexi Silentpaw spoke "Voidcaller, with all due respect, there is a abundance of game in those woodlands we are yet to hunt, and Basir's rabbit solution will hardly sustain us. Perhaps when his whelps can figure out how to get rabbits to breed, until then I would recommend allowing me and my hunters to continue hunting in the woodland without worrying about lumber camps disturbing the hunt. Perhaps the large beast tracks we uncovered will solve our food problem." her eyes darted to Goldtooth as she spoke who returned with a irritated growl. Both of pair were rewarded with a glare from Vlath.
"A wise suggestion Silentpaw, however our need for lumber is great. Tracking the the beast tracks your scouts discovered could be of great benefit to us however." the Shadowclaw leader responded neutrally despite his irritation that the pair had allowed their childish bickering to surface in front of him. Finally Vlath turned his gaze to Grash Bloodfang who had not been summoned by the Voidcaller since before the Great Voyage at this point. Even now he opted to stand silently and tower over each of the other leaders as they spoke, his eyes wandering to the stone and back to the make-shift camps as the others spoke.
"My warriors grow restless already. They expected this land to be full of war yet we have not seen another race yet. Lumber for houses and new weapons could be good I suppose." the great brown lycan said with a grunt. The other leaders did not expect much more from the Bloodfang leader, war was always at the forefront of his mind.

After some time debating the group eventually settled on an answer, a joint group of Goldtooth workers and Silentpaw hunters would travel across the river to the woodland. The Silentpaw would continue their hunting operation while the Goldtooth began to assemble the lumber camp. The Silentpaw would be responsible for warding any potentially dangerous wildlife away from the camp and the Goldtooth would agree to replant the seeds of cut down trees so the forest could continue it's existence after it's initial deforestation Vlath also coincided to send a handful of Bloodfang warriors to help in both the defense of the camp and for any manual labor. If all went well the Goldtooth were to also build a bridge to allow for easier transport across the river, if the situation went awry they were to return to Vlath or Goldtooth and report their failure.

As the other leaders were dismissed, Vlath held back and observed the reclaimed stone, he made a quick prayer before finally returning to the village to discuss the nature of these stones with his fellow Shadowclaw.

Vlath observed the structure as he recognized the God's beginning to reclaim the land, he silently rejoiced before letting out a guttural howl and falling to his knees once again to praise the Gods for their work. Time passed. Minutes? Hours? Perhaps even days? Vlath knew not, time seemed to go by quickly when he was attempting to commune with the divine. After his meditation he deemed this place was truly the God's first claim on this land and that it would make a worthy holy site.

As Vlath once again returned to the beginning settlement he noted the progress of the lycans trying to capture and breed local rodents with approval, it was a disappointing the deer would sooner die than be housed in their freshly made pens but if that was the will of the Trinity then so be it. After his inspection he sought out Mex Silentpaw with a command, he found her with several of her hunters who were skinning some of the recently captured deer. "Silentpaw, it is good to see your people are not idle however I have yet another task for you and your hunters." he announced as he approached the pack of lycan. Mex herself stood from her crouched position over the deer carcass, blood dripping from the grey fur on her forearms. "How may we serve you Voidcaller? she said, before turning to her fellow hunters and silently scowled at them as they remained crouched around the deer corpse. The three hunters quickly rose to their feet.
"Our new home is bountiful in beasts and is home to worshipers of the young gods. I would have you and your hunters find more of this new world, send out your scouts to survey our area. Bring anything of note to the Goldtooth tribe so they may study it. Report any intelligent beings to me as soon as possible if they are discovered. Do not interact with them." he ordered to the Silentpaw leader, eyeing each of the hunters she was gathered with. While Mex was giving the Voidcaller her undivided attention the other three seemed to be more interested in the deer than his orders. He noted this lack of dedication before waving his hand to indicate he was done before Mex departed to find her more capable scouts.

C)+A

Vlath viewed the structure before them for a few moments, he could sense the magic in the year- a sure sign of worshipers of the young gods. Wherever they were the covenant would find them and show them the foolishness of their faith or burn them with their traitorous gods, claiming this simple stone would be but thee start. The Voidcaller placed a single hand on the stone before announcing "There is magic here, I can sense it in the air. But it is not of the Divine Trinity,no it is of the child gods. Doubtlessly placed here by one of their foolish followers. We will deliver this structure to the Gods so they may begin to reclaim this land in their name!" Vlath then placed his second hand on the stone and begin speaking chanting in the tongue of the divine, beckoning them to purge this stone of the lesser god's presence and claim it as their own.

When the deed was done and Vlath had returned to his camp, Vlath addressed Basir Goldtooth. "I see the hunters found game last night.".
Basir looked at the Voidcaller, somewhat confused. He was no hunter, why did he speak of such things to him? Regardless he replied in his somewhat raspy voice "Yes Voidcaller, the Silentpaw will have no problems hunting in this new land." he attempted to speak with some pride, but he may aswell have not bothered, it was not exactly uncommon for lycans to still see themselves divided by their tribe despite being united under the covenant.
"That is good news, truly the Gods have blessed us with this fertile land. However, I feel a more consistent food source will be necessary if we are to establish a true foothold as a united covenant. To this end you will build a...holding pen, similar to the slave pens in your old territories but they must be be able to hold the beasts of this land. A consistent food source will allow us to focus on grander designs. Perhaps we may even focus our efforts to finding the exotic prizes you spoke of so passionately to your people on our arrival?" Vlath said, he also added "Once your work is done, have the Silentpaws begin rounding up the beasts in our area. We will feast the night we have our new supply ready and every night after." with his orders given Vlath excused himself and returned to the strange stone, pondering on it and it's mysteries, what foul purpose did it serve?

The Lycan Covenant

The first boat slammed into the muddy earth, not moments later the primitive vessel's inhabitants leaped from the boat and on to their new home. Lycans from all tribes began to take their first steps on the new world some with caution and others with un-containable excitement, among these excited new arrivals were Basir and Grash. Both of them were leaders of one of the four remaining tribes with their respective interests and ideals being evident as Basir Goldtooth barked orders at his underlings how this land was full of exotic goods and even more exotic slaves while Grash Bloodfang bellowed at his warriors, ensuring they were prepared for any threats the covenant may face in the coming days.

As the other two tribe leaders were already out of their make-shift ships and preparing their people, the leaders of the other half of the covenant made land with a more measured approach to the situation. Mex Silentpaw stopped herself and her hunters as they left their vessel, having all of them take in the new lands around them. The air was warmer, the ground more fertile and by extension the beasts of the land would be larger. The final group to arrive were the Shadowclaws and the leader of the Covenant Vlath Shadowclaw. After the somewhat hunched figure of the Voidcaller walked slightly further inland, dropped to his knees and began muttering prayers in a tongue known only to those who were learned in the nature of the Gods. The Voidcaller remained in that state for some time as the other members of the covenant began to settle into their new home which had been named Wulfhelm.
