It was such short notice. Less than three months had been announced for this grail war. The letters going out, and the Masters seemingly appeared at random. But in a way, it seemed like anybody who had interest in the grail had become a candidate. In fact, with fourteen masters, an alliance had already been called out. The mysterious Dr. M himself claimed to have chosen the sides, ideologies and all that. In a way it seemed like they were playing a game of chess, and Emilia hated it. In fact, she'd spent the last three months relying on her sources to bring her the very object of an affection she'd held for a while. A servant she believed could win this war in a day. But this wasn't just a grail war of fourteen factions. In a way, she was worried.
She stood at the window of the Weber mansion, hands folded behind her back, while the land of Germany sprawled out before her. She gazed upon Berlin, and a breath escaped her lips. She adored it, from where she stood above the streets and looking out the window of her family home. In a way, she was thankful her long life allowed her to so often gaze upon the country, and its slow rising to power once more. "Is my cause noble?" She said, to the room and not to the man behind her. With two days left before the White Team would have to converge, she had gone ahead with her plan. "Conquest is noble." The man said back, eyes boring into the back of her head. "But I don't want conquest. I want the world to be... Just how I see it from this window." "That, is conquest in and of itself." The figure took a step back, and he was silent again. She didn't look back, but Frau Emilia knew that he was watching in some way. A very judgmental servant if ever there was one.
On her desk sat a letter. And while she knew now it was the mysterious M, she couldn't help but wonder... What really brought them all together? At the very least, there was a location set. Bürgerbräukeller. The bar could be seen from her window. A brew hall where Adolf Hitler himself had stood, and the Nazi party had gathered. Where else could it begin? ----------------------------------- 1939... Sunday August 20th... 5 PM...
The beer hall was empty tonight. In a way it was just a testament to what was bringing all of them together. Emilia sat at the end of a long table, as her gaze drifted slowly from tapestry to tapestry. The place had been bought out for the night, and only a select few individuals were meant to arrive. Seven, herself included. The table stretched out, with food adorned for all of them. Some may already have their servants, others maybe not. But they would all be summoned in time for the war to begin.
It wasn't raining anymore. In truth, it was finally starting to become a nice afternoon glow once more. But the puddles filled the streets, and in the industrial sector it seemed as if every inch there was a swimming pool waiting for you. All this wound be fine, with the letters they had all received didn't lead to some gutted location. The Clocktower of all things had taken a interest in this grail war, and it seems they had figured out who was involved before others. The letters alone made it clear that they would only survive by working together.
The building itself was nothing grand. Instead it was a hollowed out shell of a building. A former warehouse, with the ceiling torn wide open like a gaping wound. The rain had flooded the floor of the warehouse, with no drains to take it all away. Instead, the whole building seemed to be in a puddle. There was nobody there... Except, for a man with stark white hair, and the outfit of a gentleman. "Welcome." He said, to the first person to enter. "Thank you for coming on such short notice."
Well, at least he knew one thing for sure. The Konoha shinobi managed to be a degree of blindingly optimistic that made Eita feel... More than a tad uncomfortable. It was just, that lack of personal space and pleasant ignorance. Naturally their interactions didn't end there, as they were all in a small vessel, and Eita had to watch Shizuka's poor attempts at shadow puppets. Which Eita clearly outdid in every moment as he raised his own flashlight, and the metal-devouring insects stored in his body floated about just enough to create intricate shapes. Like... The symbol of the Empire of Stone. Or an anatomically correct heart. Or a even better puppy. "Woof Woof."
Landing, it took a minute for Eita to soak the whole environment in. The entire structure seemed too gigantic to really understand, but at the very least he knew something. There was something in that dome, and he didn't want to go in without checking first. "Once we check the other areas, I can send my insects through the lock, and have them check the area." Eita quipped in, adjusting his coat as he did so. After all, while he could check, probably better than this konoha shinobi, but until the team was ready, he wasn't about to just risk letting out whatever was in there. Mostly because going into that dome seemed to be the most dangerous idea, and the other areas while no better, were at the very least something to start with.
"Tapo and I can go into the Residental area. Shizuka, Erika, are you two comfortable going into the lab?" Eita smiled at the two of them, since a residental area would be great for his insects. After all, he could use them to undo any locks in his path. "I'll send some of my insects your way as well, so they can break any locks you need them too, alright?"
True Name: Sinbad the Sailor Aliases: The Sailor of Baghdad Class: Rider Gender: Male Height: 5'10" Weight: 150lbs Alignment: Chaotic Good Wish for the Grail: Sinbad wishes to have one last great voyage, since he felt his last one was cut short by his advanced age.
Personality: Sinbad is a sailor. He has sailed for many years, and despite the impossible odds and many close calls with death, he always managed to survive. In a way, he used to be terrified, but as time went on, and his last 7th voyage faded from his memory, he felt a desperate need for once more. In a way, he needed to prove that he could cheat death once more, before he finally passed on. And yet, he never got that chance. Old age caught up with him, and his family would not let him leave. Instead, he wallowed away, recounting his tales each time until he had nothing left to give. Except, as time as marched on, the regretful man's legend has faded, to become a swashbuckling rogue. A powerful captain, rather than a merchant. In a way, his personality has become more jovial, and drips with the power of a man who defied fate and legend. In a way, both his personalities have merged. Becoming once more a young spirited man with a seeking for fortune and adventure. And a healthy dose of blind optimism. And a even healthier dose of cheating death.
Background: Long ago in Baghdad, there was a rich family, until they passed on. Leaving their only child, Sinbad with a fortune so massive he'd never lose it. But lose it he did. He spent so much, and so frivolously that by the time he was a man he had nothing left. Selling what little he had left, he took on the life of a merchant. His crew reached an island, where when they stepped upon it, turned into a whale that dragged them all to the bottom of the sea. Instead of dying, Sinbad awoke on the shore of a distant kingdom, where the king took an interest in his story. Eventually, the survivors came to the kingdom, and Sinbad's goods were recovered. He traded with the king, and returned to Baghdad all the richer for it. Six times more he set out, and six more disasters loomed. By the time of this 7th, and final voyage he had been scarred. No longer willing to risk his life, he retired to luxury. But as he gazed out into the sea, he couldn't help but feel like he was missing out. As his life neared an end, he planned a 8th voyage, but in his age, he passed away before the ship even left dock. His story was collected by Shahrazad, and passed along to others, and eventually made it into the Arabian Nights. His legacy secured, he became a heroic spirit.
Stats: Strength: D Endurance: C Agility: D Magical Energy: B Luck: A++ Noble Phantasm: A++
Class Skills: - Riding A - Sinbad's seven voyages nearly killed him, and he was shipwrecked often. But, in later stories his legend has evolved. A new mythology of captaining many ships has transcended so that he can ride anything. Divine being, carpet, or phantasmal creature. There is nothing he cannot ride, and probably for the better of all things. He has also risen to being a dashing daredevil, that has only made his tales all the grander. - Magic Resistance C - Sinbad met many magical individuals, and through his travels he managed to survive curses, hexes, and the like. Most low close magic cannot harm him, adding to his legendary ability to survive despite the odds.
Personal Skills: - Survivor of Disaster A - Sinbad has had his ships crash many times. He has been abandoned many times, but his luck has always held. In a way, his luck is not so much about being inherently lucky and avoiding hardship, but in that he will always escape and survivor despite the odds. He will manage to survive disasters, and even fatal wounds will not finish him off if he manages to escape. If he is riding something, anything, the object he is riding will always take the damage for him, and he will survive. As long as he is riding something, he will always survive. - Collector C - While he managed to amass a fortune, this was often gifts from the rich and fabulous that he ran into. Rather, this skill compels others to give to him, rather than have him search out for his own riches. He will gather wealth, and many of his noble phantasms came as gifts. - Golden Rule B - Sinbad's wealth has in a way managed to outlive his frivolous lifestyle. He spends far too quickly, but because of his travels he has far more wealth than even he could spend in one, or even five lifespans. And should he ever run low, he knows exactly where to get more.
Combat Capabilities: Sinbad is not a strong servant. Physically he's fairly weak, because his tales often focused on his ability to survive impossible odds, rather than any true strength. He doesn't even have all that great endurance, and rather survives by simply defying the impossible. He uses a fairly simple sword, with no unique skills, and very little training. Instead he relies on his mount, a powerful Roc that can lift other creatures from the sea. Or even his ability to cheat death in a sword fight. In other aspects, he can rely on a powerful storm.
Noble Phantasms:
Name: The Seven Voyages of Sinbad سبع رحلات من السندباد Rank: A Type: Bounded Field Description: A kind of cheat code masquerading as a noble phantasm. Sinbad has collected innumerable treasures despite the many times he cheated death. This skill allows him to let others do the same. By targeting another person, usually his Master, they will survive a fatal injury explosion, or violent death. Even if their head is removed. Only abilities that cheat fate can cheat this cheat. He can even do this on himself. But, he can only invoke this cheat seven times. Once for each of his seven voyages. Visually, after a person dies, they will flicker out of existence, and then reappear right where they died, or at a safe distance if the object that killed them is still occupying the same space. Depending on how much mana is returned to him by his master, he can reset this skill, but the amount of mana required is particularly heavy, and often requires sacrifices, as a single master would never be able to give him the mana requirements on their own.
Name: The Roc روك Rank: B Type: Anti-Army Description: A mighty monster pulled right from the stories of Arabian myth. The Roc is a terrifying bird with a size large enough to pluck a blue whale from the ocean for a feast. Even as a chick the Roc is several times larger than a man, and as a full grown beast it can pluck vessels from the oceans. During his travels, Sinbad and his crew found the egg of a Roc, and broke it open. While they did eat it, from then one Sinbad has inherited from it the strength of the divine beast, and can call upon it as a steed for battle.
Name: Storm of the Century عاصفة من القرن Rank: A++ Type: Bounded Field Description: Sinbad's ships were often struck by storms that swept the crew and even islands away. Capturing all inside, Sinbad forces all involved to survive a storm capable of turning mountains to sand, and human lives swept away. This storm can wipe away armies, and even other servants. Though for the most part it is a bounded field designed to wipe away great waves of enemies at a time. If inside another bounded field or reality marble, this skill can be activated even there. Destroying the reality the other servant has forced out.
@Japanese Goblin Well, let me know what servant you want for your master, or what master you want for your servant. And maybe talk to the other player, and then when you both agree I'll just attach your two in the character bios.
Hi there, just wanted to express my interest in this RP as I noticed that the Black Faction seems to be very empty. Please let me know if this is actually full or not, as I would love to join.
We have all members, the only reason is Black faction has been taking their sweet time in getting bios into the character section
Since at the moment, Black Team is fully organized, and has all Masters and Servants done, they are free to start picking which servant they want from the characters list. (Ones on their team.)
@ADamnFiddle I could use a few examples on how you plan to use your Solar life force-y energy thing. Since intent is important. But as long as it's nothing radical, I think it's accepted.
Too everybody, if you have yet to post a bio, they are all due by the 10th. (I will be busy on the 10th, so final reviews will be the 11th.) You must have them done by this date, because I'm starting the IC soon.
