Diarmuid ua Duibhne

Diarmuid landed with grace, his golden blade glittering in the light of a twisted streetlamp. The ground around them had been pulverized, cracked, and desecrated by only a few strikes between the heroic spirit. It was exhilarating. A far cry from it's final form, but still, a battle worthy of the two heroic spirits. His heart pounding in his chest, his eyes wide as he focused upon the charging steed, and the knight who stood upon it.

This was not the truly perfect Gawain, but for now... He was more than enough to scratch that itch. That itch that had been gnawing at his back. Finally, this was why he had been summoned! As Gawain charged, Diarmuid stepped to the side, avoiding the danger of Gringolet's charge, and raising his sword to match Gawain's blade. It was a near instant motion, and his arm seemed like a puppet dragged along a string. As if the golden blade moved on its own to protect him, and he was merely holding it. The impact kept him from simply leaping away, but that wasn't his goal. Mana charged in his leg once more, power to leap high into the air...

He swung his leg out in a kick. A ground tearing kick, aimmed at Gringolet's knee. The stallion's mighty charge colliding with a mighty kick from a knight of Fionn. Which would win out? A kick charged with resolve, or a mighty steed that knew no rest? Though whatever the case, the strike would be more than enough to flip Gringolet forward, hopefully knocking the rider free.

He said nothing, but his eyes said everything. He was thanking his enemy, and wasn't going to hold back.

Asshole Shooting Arrows

Thwiiiiiiiiiiiip!

As the group sat around discussing, and as Assassin was preparing to screen the path ahead... An arrow flickered from the distance. Slicing through the air an inch from Lancer's head, and then... THUNK! Right into Saber's skull. The arrow bouncing off Trolius' head, and sailing into the air in a stunning arc. Spinning about, and drawing the groups attention, before it struck into the ground. Feathers present, and drawing a hushed silence. Each feather was a brilliant red, like a phoenix feather might be. And the shaft? A shimmering gold that seemed to radiate with head. All three servants would know instantly just what kind of arrow that was.

Apollo. For only the beautiful god who carried the sun through the sky possessed such a bow. Only he was the equal of glorious Artemis in such. And yet, it was chilling to see such a glorious weapon here, and worse, how it had bounced off the head of Troy's beloved child. Surely Apollo wouldn't have fired upon his most adored child?

In the distance, atop a roof, stood a man. His hair whipping about in the breeze, and his eyes narrowed. But even at a distance, there was no doubt... He was smiling. Already he was beginning an approach, leaping from his vantage point, and holding his hands high to signify his weapon wasn't drawn.

"Well well, what a reunion this is!" The attacker shouted as he continued his approach. "Trolius! Hector! And that bastard!" Finally, as he got closer, his face became visible through the thick dust clouds. None other than the brother of Trolius, Prince of Troy, and... Well a bit of an ass in all accounts. P-
"Oh brother, what's with that expression, aren't you happy to see me? Pandarus!"
@Infichi I sent you a PM with some questions. Just making sure you got them.
@alexfangtalon Ah yes, that is a point. But still, it's no slouch in the Devil Fruit power department. Since it basically gives the user complete spatial control of an area around them, which is basically an "I win" button in an RP.
@JackDLemmy Honestly it's more OP than a Logia. Logia's have a weakness of their element (Like Fire vs Water or Sand vs Water. Lots of water weaknesses.) Where as the Ope Ope no Mi allows you to rip the heart out of a Logia user, and can make the person who owns it literally immortal. It's an end-game level power for a reason.
But that's my opinion, Infichi might feel differently depending on the power level he's hoping for.
@JackDLemmy I think "The invincible devil fruit" will be given a no.
Still a Major WIP at the moment. But I wanted to get this down somehow.

The Mysterious Stranger

The man's blade took several hairs, but he hardly seemed to care. Instead landing on the ground, and skidding along the pavement. The stone an easy enough place for his sword to strike, bringing his momentum to a halt. Skidding only another foot, before stopping dead in his tracks. Perhaps it was a trick of the light, but... Was he smiling? So odd, or perhaps he got off on fighting. Or...

"Sorry... I apologize too often, even for things that don't require it." He pulled his sword from the dirt, with golden eyes focusing on the Rider and his mount. "But, if you truly are Gawain, a knight to be of King Arthur's court." He spun the sword in his hand, raising it again as he entered a stance meant for battle. "Then forgive me for this. It has been a while since I have met a formidable match. Killing you or not, I shall explain all, once I am satisfied that you are truly who you claim to be." That golden blade was not meant for this kind of action. It was not a weapon to take life. It was one meant to preserve it. So... He was confident that a knight would not fall to such a weapon.

"My name is Diarmuid ua Duibhne, of the Saber class and knight of Fionn. Caster and I fight to preserve the world, and to keep Fuyuki separate from the world. Least it be overrun." With no other words to share, he struck again. Charging head on, and leaping once more. The ground cracked as he surged with mana, kicking off with such a leap that should have been impossible otherwise. Sailing into the air, and diving down at Gawain and his steed. His blade cratering the ground if they were smart enough to move aside in time, or very well cratering the ground beneath them should Gawain defend.

And yet, the longer this fight might go on, the more a pressure began to build. Upon Gawain's back and shoulders, as if the very buildings might collapse upon him. A pressure, a strain... Was this damage? But there were no wounds. Were there eyes? Was there a threat!?

Out of the corner of an eye, there upon a building sat a man. His outfit strange, as long flowing robes seemed to hide his form. He was young, yet his eyes betrayed age. But in his hand, was a fan made of feathers... Was he perhaps waiting to be noticed, or was he simply curious as to how Gawain might act. Until...
"Gawain, knight of the Sun. Do not dodge his strikes, but attack. Attack and attack, that is the advice I give you."

The Mysterious Stranger

It seemed the chase had begun. The stranger's cloak trailed behind him, whipping about in the air as he darted from the group. Gawain's following soon after seemed to do little to close the gap between them. Instead, as he slipped behind a corner, there was the tell-tale white of his cape, so that Rider may follow. But as soon as Gawain turned, he had already gotten further ahead, leaving Gawain with only another wisp of white and gold trim to chase. Perhaps the man was a Rider on his own steed? Or perhaps he was just naturally quick. Whatever the case, the streets continued. And continued.

For a moment longer, Gawain would see the man's back, and then he'd sharply turn a corner. Rider might indeed be so caught up in the race that the buildings might be easily ignored. But...

Perhaps it was how close together the buildings had gotten. No longer spaced out, but rather side by side. With the odd crack between homes seeming more intentional than a simple perk of trying to give people room. The road, still pristine, had cracks. All roads had cracks, but for this the cracks seemed to... Repeat. A squiggle that ends in a forked branch, appearing again and again along the road. The cars, parked had become repetitious. Blue. Green. Red. Blue. Green. Red. Blue-Green-Red. As if the whole city was on repeat!

The warning came from behind. A crack of stone, as suddenly the stranger was behind Gawain. In the maze of buildings, he had managed to somehow sneak around, coming out of one of the side paths that Gawain had been running by in his race. The stranger carried only one sword, a golden blade that swiped through the air. The ground cracking as he leapt, easily clearing the Rider's mount and swinging that beautiful blade towards Gawain's head. The leap... Wasn't natural, as if charged by mana.

"I apologize. But I cannot allow you or your allies to disrupt the Leyline. If Caster falls, the world falls with it."
On a side note, what's the starting level for characters? It'd be good to know in advance the expected power levels.
