Market -> Outskirts
@Zelosse

Fortuna slowly wandered the Market streets, looking at the bits and bobs the merchant sold. Players and NPCs alike being ripped off by merchants that claim that such trinkets brought good luck. Such things a certain gambler didn't believe in. There was no real luck in a game like this. RNG was only pseudo-random after all. As random as a loaded die at times. 'Plink', went the small nickle coin as she flipped it. Tails. 'What a good sign.', she thought sarcastically.

After awhile of meandering, she came across a merchant.. Or rather a fellow gambler who was making bets with passersby. "C'mon, 5 nickles says you can't guess whether it's heads or tails!" He laughed as he put a nickle on his thumbnail. What was interesting to Fortuna, was that the Gambling NPC was always winning. She smirked as she stood the side, watching the NPC make off with many a nickle. Soon, she stepped up to the plate. The man gave her a toothy grin, "Well, girly? Let's see your luck eh?"
She smirked back at him, "I'm sure lady luck is smiling on me." She responded nonchalantly. The man laughed in response, showing her a nickle coin that had a notable chip in it, "Let's make it more interesting then! I'll flip it and you'll have to guess which hand I catch it in and what side's facing up! I'll double the prize, 10 nickles, deary."

Fortuna merely nodded, her smirk unfaltering. The man flipped the coin; swiping both hands at it, catching it mid-air before presenting two clenched fists before her. "Well?"

The Rogue stepped forward, tapping one hand with her finger then tapping the other, as if trying to make her decision. She stepped back and shook her head slowly. "Well. First of all, there's no coin in either of your hands." The man chuckled and nodded his head as he reached into his pocket.. Where the nickle should've been.
"And I believe it was heads." Fortuna chuckled as she opened her hand, showing the chipped nickle.. Heads up. The NPC frowned as he gave the girl her 10 nickles.

"Better luck next time, hun."

Fortuna stood at the outskirts of the town, watching the other players go in and out, hunting the monsters the spawned further off. She had sent Bullhorn a message earlier inviting him for some hunting or perhaps a dungeon run, although she'll probably need to find more people to do the latter.

She looked back on her time in Talrae. Even though she hadn't even been in this world for more than a couple of days, she already felt at home. Forced to escape from her previous life in the real world? Didn't seem all that bad. There wasn't anyone back at her real home that she missed anyway. Maybe her dog, Yuki.

Basically, unless you have a reason to go after some other player... just post when you can. I was originally afraid of people having that "silent psychological barrier" with this method. By having an established turn order, people would KNOW exactly when they have to post but having free order always puts doubt into some peoples' minds like "oh am I not interrupting another person's plan?". Which is nice and all but sometimes slogs the game down.

[referring to "silent psychological barrier"] While that thought path is understandable, not many that I know of actually think that way (And neither do I). Having a flexible system like this actually takes a lot of pressure off people, knowing that they're not actually keeping people waiting as if they were in a queue of sorts. However, in the end people still think "Oh I still need to post before the GM does." Whether or not they spoil someone's plan can be shown via IC. I feel like planning ways of attack in OOC is more meta than people realise.

In the end, just play your character how they would react. Don't worry about what other's will think because that'll be shown IC, via their characters. The moment someone gets upset in OOC about messing up a plan is the moment you could probably say that they're thinking the way they think, not the way their character thinks.

You did great! One retcon I need is that Sage has not yet been chosen as First Mage. We had to edit earlier, and if you could edit that little bit that'd be grand. But otherwise, love the post! good luck with your schooling! If you ever need extra time or can't post, let me know because I always give leeway.

Edited. Also thanks! I'll let you know if need be.
Short post, sorry. I'll be busy for the next couple of weeks, just lettin' you know. (ASSIGNMENTS AAAAHHH) @POOHEAD189

But I'll try getting posts out during the weekend
After being accepted into the crew, Vaeri spent the last couple of days in Knife's Edge drinking with her muscular friends, most of them were happy for her and wished her luck on her adventure, often saying something about their life as a sailor before having settled down here. She would muse that they were still young and fit for sailing, but would respond with 'If I had a crew..' Vaeri didn't quite understand what they meant by that since there were enough lads here to make one, but when she boarded the SeaReaver she realised there was more to a crew than just sailors. Quartermasters, Shipwrights, Lookouts, Captains. All roles that made a proper crew. Perhaps the men back at the Knife's Edge didn't fancy themselves as any of these roles.

When some of the roles were being announced, she couldn't help but try to imagine Vaia as a cook. The woman had spilled gore all over the table at the 'interview' of sorts. She wondered what such a killer could cook.. Perhaps a killer dish? She chuckled to herself, enjoying her own witticism. As the Quartermaster spoke, she began making an ordered list of people she should get to know, but ultimately had trouble figuring out the priorities without making someone else seem less significant than another. So closest person would be first.

She walked up to Sage and pat her on the shoulder, probably a little more roughly than she intended. "A Healer? That's quite impressive! Most I hear of use 'arcane'.. or something. I would love to know how your magic works." She said jovially, giving the much shorter woman a warm grin. Vaeri had always been interested in magic, even if she didn't actually learn it herself. While she understood her own magic, she didn't know much about the magicks that humans commanded, perhaps they were similar?

"But before that, I would like to get to know you first. I am Vaeri Ernala, a Great Clan Elf from the North. It is nice to meet you." The tall elf held out her hand in greeting, her warm smile unwavering. Meeting new people was something Vaeri really enjoyed, purely because they always have their own stories to tell. One story is always different from another, and there is never two that are the same. Unless they're inseparable twins. She often took interest in people's perspective on the same topic. Most of the time it was similar if they were of the same community, but her travels had told her that people from different places always had something else to say about it.

@Smystar99
@HueMan That sounds pretty normal.
