@vancexentan Please don't. The confusion is perfect, now Nagatoki will believe he's some famous Manslayer lol.
@vancexentan Just that I was speaking about my character in my last post, him being the "Bright-Eye Manslayer" and all. And found Okita and Fujimaru's purposeful disregard of it funny. It was as if neither of them wanted to admit it, Fujimaru even took a shot at him lol.

I can see my character blushing at the praise.
@vancexentan No problem, I was mostly looking out for myself lol.
The moment that Saito had left, Nagatoki had returned his gaze from the random spot on the dimly-lit ceiling to Okita. The look that the troop captain had shot him was unnerving. Made even more so due to its odd timing. He lifted a hand to his smooth chin and scratched it nervously. Gave me the goosebumps, he admitted only to himself.

Without much hesitation, Nagatoki stepped up. "This Mad-Dog idiot," Nagatoki gestured his hand with his words, a easy smile playing on his face. "Is he really this dangerous? I know Captain Fujimaru said no dumb questions, but hopefully you'll forgive me this once. All I'm saying is, this seems like overkill. Far too much for some backwater samurai. In fact, I could probably take him on my own."

"Surely you've heard news of the Bright-Eye Manslayer," with a cocky smile he pointed to himself.
@vancexentan Are we troop 11 or 15. I've been thinking 11 because your character profile saying Troop Captain of 11

First Floor
Late Morning

Oben had savored the blue glow of the Dungeon as if bathing in sunlight. There was something mystical and calming about it and whenever possible, he always found himself secretly soaking it in. On the quiet trek inside-his own merry chants dying as he fell into a focused state a little in, Oben had taken the time to memorize Kori, Castor, and Varanense's name. The cat-lady, whom's ear still drove his curiosity up the roof had held a delicate name. While Castor was the completely opposite of his own and Varanense required a nickname, for his name was mouth-full.

The sounds of armor, leather, and other soft materials seemed to bounce off the cavern's wall. Oben decided that perhaps that was a valid reason for him never being in a party. If one was to ask, he'd respond with the less-than-impressive answer of "Too many bodies makes it hard for me to focus on my surroundings" or something like that. Before he knew it, he had stepped into another opening. The last one had held monsters that painted his nodachi red and green, this one had kobolds. He grabbed his neck, releasing a satisfying band of pops from his spine. Next he touched the handle of his nodachi beginning to draw it when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

He paused, listening to Kori's incantation while staring at her very enticing ears. Witnessing the counter-impact on Kori made it clear. He was not to get hurt, else she'd be receiving some form of his damage too. Most curious, he thought seriously, watching Kori as she charged forth. No wonder, Odin was so interested in them.

Then, just as would be expected, Oben chuckled and followed suit. He sprinted towards Kori's distraction, stepped forward, and with a swift brandish, slashed the nearest kobold. Whether the mutt had gotten hit or not, Oben had leapt back, staying somewhat close to his party. "Look at you being a martyr," he told Kori with a smile. Typically, I'm the distraction. I can't let you take my role."
@Double Cool. Thanks for letting me know.
It had taken nearly two years for Nagatoki to find any real action in the Shinsengumi. His dark days as a Manslayer had been far more exciting when viewed through retrospection. No longer were they a fog of bloody missions, all culminating to the death of Sanesuke the Phantom of Osaka but now they were a testament of his swordsmanship and infamy. He stood still amongst the other members of the eleventh squad, body loose and comfortable in the tense situation. His peerless senses had been honed to be alert even when he appeared laxed. He took account of the mostly still courtyard, hearing only the sounds that should exist outside. For he had accounted on the way-in for what should and should not be heard.

He yawned, for just a second his senses being dulled. How boring, he thought. Conversations like these are what I will hate the most once I'm in power. Too bad we can not just be presented with the insurgents now. Killing them myself would surely promote me to Troop Captain.

His unusually bright-eye shifted between Fujimaru, Okita, and Saito as they spoke. He swiveled his neck in a firm yet slow manner, coaxing the stiffness from out his muscles. He hoped something exciting would happen soon, else he would have to play man-servant to gain good favor amongst the powers-that-be.
@Double So I was thinking about the Devices we'd be using to transform. I have no issues going solo on this but I figured you should know about it at least. I plan on my Rider using a device called the X-Driver (seeing as he'd be an original Rider creation of the Foundation). I thought it'd be appropriate.

EDIT: Knowledge on the Foundation is bare, if they have a pre-existing original Driver already, let me know.
I'm pretty sure they had butchered it anyway.
