Receptionist or not, whoever the thin japanese woman was had been well-informed. She had instructed him to simply wait till 11 AM. Had told him with a tad bit of suspicion that his advisor was around in the lobby somewhere amongst the other early-arrivals.

Caelum thanked her with an appreciative bow and the pulled-tight lips of one aware of his station. He had never gotten used to that subtle but all dominating sense of formality. It could be suffocating at times; pushing him further and further into prudence. It resulted in him speaking far less than he normally would and airing on the side of caution.

For a time he sat on one of the couches, waiting and watching as others filed in and settled down. He glanced up at whom he had assumed was the advisor. He had this concrete formality about him, they all did. Society had done its part and that man had carried it on him like a thin veil.

Caelum had his hands folded on his rolling trunk between his legs, satisfied with the advisor’s introduction and his rooming accommodations. None of that applies to me for now. He sighed as if exhausted, not completely sure as to why. First thing I wanna do is find the kendo room. After I put my stuff up that's what I'll do. Get a lay out of the campus too.

He hefted his trunk up off the ground and started for the stairs. Not as if anyone is gonna wanna talk to me anyway, he reassured himself, feeling the slight burn in his arms already.

Sorry, trying to get use to a new living situation. Gonna figure it all out soon. Anyway, gonna try to get a post out soon or try too.
Okay so I'm open for any interactions. I don't have a specific character in mind yet though.
Done editing her stats. Lemme know what y'all think

They seem a bit high for us just starting out. I too thought to make my character the young prodigy type but I believe your stats reflect those of a seasoned Pillar. But I think the GMs would do you better to weigh in on them.
@Hero I'm deeply happy with the uniforms and smiling behind the computer screen lol
Hopefully by tomorrow I'll have the uniforms up for people to gander at!

Those uniforms though? cause I'm excited to see what we gonna be styling in
Heya! Hope you guys will like her! ^u^

Our stats are identical though our fighting styles are different.

In my humble opinion I believe her strength and dexterity could be swapped. Her stamina could go down two stars and her defense rise by two (on account of the dance like movements and large blade). Or you could go an entirely different route, while its possible their stats are the same, its largely implausible that they would be. I'm no GM of course so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Stephen King had an accident and he had a quote about that accident on the internet. That quote resonated with Caelum deeply as he sat on his impregnated trunk reading it on his phone.

My accident really taught me just one thing: the only way to go on is to go on. To say ‘I can do this’ even when you know you can’t.

“So true,” he murmured, grazing the idea of setting aside his misfortune and moving on to his first year of high school. His uncle strode to the door, where his shoes were waiting. He slid on the worn white sneakers and spared Caelum a smile.

“You… Umm, you ready kiddo?”

Caelum found the ‘POWER OFF’ button on his phone and touched it, the screen smoothly turned black. “As ready as I’ll ever be uncle. Mom,” he paused, his Japanese flickering into English. “I just feel like I’m trying to forget, Ma. It sucks monkey balls.”

Jasper continued in his fluent Japanese; he took the language masterfully. “Forgetting is just the surface of your feelings kiddo. We’ll never forget her.” He stood to his feet, let Caelum out, and started locking up. “It feels that way now but believe me, its just because you’re young.”

Caelum yanked the handle of his trunk out and wheeled it to the trunk of Jasper’s small car. “Yeah,” he said in Japanese. “I believe you uncle…”

Jasper watched him steadily with that same set burning dark eyes. Caelum had grown use to those orbs, so use to them that he strode up towards the dorm unperturbed. He reached the doors and gave his uncle a reassuring smile and wave, hoping to send him off with some form of confidence.

When Jasper’s tall form fell into his car, the engine thrummed, and the man’s hand (fleeting as a shadow) waved in return: Caelum slid inside.

Inside (out of view), he sighed deeply. He dug into his jeans and pulled out the crumpled, damped note he had jotted down. In the thick blue of a highlighter was written “VELVET ROOM?” He had looked it up when he awoke that morning and when concerns of last-minute packing had arisen he quickly wrote it down hoping to remember it later.

For some reason the note or rather the words had an odd pull to them. It took some effort for him to stuff the note back in his pocket. The rolling of his trunk following him down the hall. He was early he observed, seeing the emptiness occupied by stragglers or early-risers.

“I should find the receptionist." He aptly begun to wander off.
